I have an idea of what they're going to do with the VHS Porn addon. I think they're going to add some sort of hitbox-related enhancement for extra chase control.
A diagram I drew earlier to demonstrate (edited to be more forum-friendly, of course):

The only part of this that's accurate is the last sentence. The rest is fiction.
It isn't though? If you run it with Inner Strength it's not THAT hard to get stacks. It's not fiction, it's literally my experience.

He is the Lead Designer. Do you honestly think the rest of the team are going to disregard what their superior believes and act on it?
Yeah I understand one person doesn't make all the decisions but If the LEAD designer is saying these things, it is indicative of a bigger problem.
Ah, I wasn't aware he was the Lead Designer.

The Bloodhound change I like, it's already a pretty decent perk that many people overlook.
The Predator change shouldn't leave scratch marks when crouch walking. The ones left by walking should spawn closer together instead of ones left by running, as these are harder to spot.
The Shadowborn change is a neat idea, but it being tied to chase mechanics opens the potential for abuse. The killer could moonwalk in a chase and kick a pallet 60% faster.

Don't worry, the person in charge of game balance decided that this perk is perfectly okay.
Granted he's been getting dunked on by the community because of his reliance on stats instead of also considering how it feels to go against something.
I doubt Almo is the only person who has a say on the balance team to be honest, it's called a balance team for a reason. I don't agree with his takes either, but painting him as the only person who can balance things seems incorrect.
-
I think Mettle of Man is in a good spot, I have no issues in getting it to activate, even in solo games. The best way to guarantee a protection hit is to take a hit when the killer is carrying someone. They're slower than you unless they have agitation and if you can block a hook then they have to hit you.
-
Oni is probably the most adrenaline-inducing of the bunch. Having him pop his power on you is hella intimidating, even after 1200 hours.
Hag has a lot of jumpscares. An unexpected trap will for sure spook the hell out of me.
-
Lightburn is a rather outdated mechanic that should be moved away from in general, in my opinion. It wouldn't make sense lore-wise either, as the Spirit travels through the Ethereal Plane, not the Spirit World like the Wraith and the Nurse.
Flashlights can already be used to determine whether the Spirit is phasing or not, as you cannot blind the husk. However, I think there should be some indication of when she's using her power, even without having a flashlight.
-
Cool idea, it doesn't seem super useful by itself, however. Maybe it should show you the auras of people inside of the fake terror radius for a couple of seconds when it activates, along with highlighting the totem it's active on. Unless it has some kind of feedback as to where it's active and who's affected, I think the perk's effectiveness will be limited.
However, I think where this perk would end up shining would be in synergy with other terror-radius based perks. Being able to get more reach with them would make them much more effective.
-
Naming and shaming is not allowed on the forums, and Locker Saves aren't toxic, they're a part of the game that can be easily countered. If they were being unpleasant in the end game chat, I can see why you'd be upset, but hitting a flashlight save isn't toxic.

Let's see your perk buidl. Let's see if you like go against the strong ones as it feels better to bully them or if you actually like a challange.
I don't have a set perk build, I switch out all of my perks for survivor fairly regularly. Why does that matter anyway?
Just because I dislike going against certain killers doesn't mean I want to "bully" every killer I come across, but go off I guess.

Haddonfield they're probably taking time for balancing. Coldwind with all that annoying corn is probably taking graphical time. But glad they're getting to Crotus Prenn and heck they might turn the game into a likeable indoor map.
Yeah, I really like the vibe of The Game, but the gameplay isn't so good.
-
Nah, there's strong killers I love going against and weaker ones that I dislike.

Oh god, I'm with high hopes for The Game rework. Hope the map getts brighter in the lower areas and that they nerf the amount of safe pallets there in exchange for window loops.
Yeah, I hope they add more than 2 windows to that map. It really sucks to play on at the moment.

Those The Game concept arts look way to clean and tidy for a Saw setting, where are all the garbage, dirt, trash and overall grittiness the movies have?.
Keep in mind that this is the concept art and isn't what it'll look like exactly in-game.

They better fix Chapel as well. Everybody focuses on Disturbed Ward god window, while Chapel is legit broken. It can spawn multiple windows that connect to the surrounding tiles. Two of those are genuine god windows. Just yesterday I saw Probzz who had a 5 window alignment for direct fast vault counting an LT wall outside as well. The shack has a maze tile 3 feet away and can spawn the infamous shack window facing a long wall window, but a lot of other spawns are broken too. The circus area has the fun window as well. The map isn't even that 'small' (bigger than Rancid) considering that it has an elongated shape.
I'm just hoping they'll make an even more beautiful looking Maurice.

I hope The Game is updated so new survivors have a better idea of where they're even going!
It looks like there's going to be markings on the ground leading to staircases. There's already signs pointing to stairs but hopefully they make it more clear.

I'm surprised it's only Asylum and not also Chapel, since every other reworked map have had all the maps from the same realm reworked at the same time.
They might still do the Chapel, as it's in the same realm. The overall realm is called Crotus Prenn Asylum, while Nurse's map is called Disturbed Ward.

The Game before Coldwind or Haddonfield? Really? Very glad Crotus Prenn is getting changed though. Good riddance Disturbed Ward!
I was surprised they didn't pick Coldwind as well to be honest.

new meat plant looks really good hope they fix the maps issues though (lack of windows safe pallets)
Yeah, it's one of my least favourite maps at the moment. Here's hoping that it'll get improved.

I don't know if it's been confirmed, I'd guess Next Tuesday (12th), BHVR like releasing updates on Tuesdays.
-
I hope the bottle effects can be enhanced or changed with addons, kind of like Doctor's afflictions.

Why not make it the Ruin of healing?
Good skill checks regress healing by 5-10%, while great skill checks grant no bonus progression.
:P

Just straight up roll back the rework and tweak him from there. He was much more interesting in his pre-rework state.

Even more simplified idea.
Maybe restore the ability to vault pallets, but keep the disabled window vaults?

You don't always need mobility especially on the smaller maps like coal tower. On top of that, he is pretty much always in chase it's no use hiding from him
Coal Tower is an outlier, being one of the smallest maps in the game. The average map size is around 10,000m^2, Coal Tower is 8448m^2. Most killers do well on smaller maps, especially ones who are already highly mobile.
Doctor's anti-loop is outclassed by the more recent killers, like Freddy (who can cause 15% slowdown and force medium vaults without slowing himself down) and Pyramid Head (who does direct damage, giving him amazing zoning potential).
Both of these killers also have strong side powers. Freddy has almost unmatched mobility and synergy with the best slowdown perks. Pyramid Head, while not having mobility like Freddy, can save time on hooks, waste the survivor's time by sending them to the other side of the map and negate the strongest survivor perks in the game (DS, BT, Deliverance, We'll Make It etc.)
I'm not saying that Doctor is necessarily a bad killer, he's a solid/high B tier at least. He's just outclassed by some of the better killers out there.
-
He's got a good chase and tracking power, but most of the A tier killers have some form of mobility power. At the end of the day, when it comes to moving around the map, he's still just a 115% killer.
-
Everybody gangsta until the Blendette pops a smoke bomb and disappears to the other side of the map.
A smoke bomb would be dope, especially if it hid your scratch marks and blood pools for a while.

I just thought of something else. With the accidental slip that Ether 5% will change to Party Bottles, the description implies that perhaps there might be a change to the current effect of direct bottle hits (currently its much more severe blurred vision as well as interrupting actions).
Could direct hits without Party Bottles get an additional effect? More severe than blurred vision? A new status effect?
That is a very interesting point. It might just be for clarification though.
-
Survivor: Either Dead Hard or Unbreakable
Killer: NOED probably
-
I don't really main any killer, but the killer I can't stop playing for long is Legion. Getting chain Frenzy stabs is just too fun. I love getting Frenzy downs with Frank's Mix Tape as well, probably the most satisfying thing you can do as a killer.

Looks like you have Herman fever and the only prescription is Calm Spirit.

Eating a 59 second DS is probably one of the worst feelings in the game. I guess I tunneled you hard after downing and hooking someone else.
I also hate having a 4 man slug go to a 3 man slug because Unbreakable exists. Damn guess I gotta win again lmao.
Seeing Ruin/Undying on a Nurse or Spirit is annoying as well. Then again, seeing a Nurse or Spirit is annoying in general if they know how to use their power properly.
Getting unhooked in the killer's face without BT. It makes me want to equip DS for the next 5 matches.
Pig traps getting removed in 2 seconds. Especially if they popped a gen with it on.
-
Freddy's power isn't Dream Snares, it's making me feel sad when I remember he got reworked.
-
While the total progress towards the gen is faster, the efficiency penalty means that you yourself are repairing the gen slower than usual. With two survivors repairing a gen together, it goes from 1 survivor repairing at 100% to two survivors repairing at 85%.
-
As long as they add an offering to let us play Old Freddy, I'll be cool with what they do.
-
I'd rather run Bloodhound than Stridor to be honest. If you're trying to find an injured person, the blood trails will last longer than their scratch marks.
-
Legion's power is hidden behind Frank's Mix Tape :P

Pink gas functions as normal
White gas is a warning/delay before the orange gas takes effect
Both have been changed to cover a standardized area instead of spawning 6 blobs of gas that disperse like we have now
I don't think it's clear enough to make any guesses on if the gas area has been changed, they could've just changed the particles. If they threw it at a tree then we'd be able to see a lot more clearly.

THat should be like 300 BP or something instead of 100.
Man BHVR is stingy about BP considering they keep making it more and more mandatory to have them.
Keep in mind that everything I've posted in terms of screenshots is from teasers and is subject to change. Nothing we've been shown is set in stone.
-
I'm not sure if the colours actually mixed. I just rewatched the clip and as you can see, when the bottle is thrown it has a white trail.
However, in the bottom left corner, the smoke colour shown was orange, not white.
I'm willing to bet that the white gas won't do too much, only used as a warning to the survivor for the stronger effect that the orange smoke will give. Could it be direct damage? Deep wound maybe? Severe hindered? The change of colour could indicate some kind of scaling in effect over time.
We already have a potential name for one of the bottles: The Afterpiece Antidote. This was shown when the devs included the description from one of the reworked addons in the live build of the game:
Now the name "Afterpiece Antidote" is confusing. It suggests a positive effect for those affected. Perhaps it could be an ironic name, being a poison instead of an Antidote. Perhaps it could give a new status effect that slowly ramps up with exposure to the antidote, kind of like Doctor's Madness with his shocks.
The other interpretation would be direct, suggesting an actual antidote. This would most likely be a positive effect for the clown, not the survivors. If it were to be a buff to the killer, it'd probably be Haste.
This addon also suggests that the Clown might be getting addons that replace the effects of one of the bottles. It seems unlikely that they'd go through the trouble of coding a system to change out the second bottle just for a meme addon. However, I might be wrong.
I hope we hear something about the rework soon, I'm really looking forward to what it might contain.
-
I'd 100% consider it meta.
-
If something's overpowered, it should be addressed directly. Bandaid fixes like this aren't really that healthy for the game in the long run.
The sacrifical ward isn't that useful, because nobody knows when a map offering is going to be burnt. The same problem would extend to the anti-mori offering you suggested.
I'm glad BHVR nerfed moris and I hope they do a good job with nerfing the keys.

Among the very best players (top 1% with their respective Killers), Freddy is #1. Nurse is in the top 1/4.
If you bring back Old Freddy in some form, I'll love you forever. I miss him so much, I just wanna play him again.
