  • Wesker's a eugenicist and follows Nazi ideology.

  • Orrrr just make hook timer pause if killer is close to hook.

Seriously, that's all you need to do. Would take an hour of coding max. If survivors come close to the hook, chase them away from it. It's really not as abusable as campers like to paint it as.

  • No, this change is probably just so they can sell alternate moris taken from DBD mobile and actually turn a profit as moris are now required and mandatory.

  • If they mapped it to the item use button though you'd just waste flashlight battery/medkit charges every time you broke out of all the chains.

  • I think Myers and ji-woon will get blight skins as well. Maybe someone like dredge or artist too. I don't think there's many original killers missing blight skins at this point apart from those guys and oni/deathslinger?

  • Idk. This would be a buff and twins is plenty strong as is... I hope they just get qol buffs and nerfs to slugging and camping.

  • More buffs to killers, obviously. Maybe they'll nerf reassurance and DH again, or make survivors only have 2 hook states. Sky's the limit, it seems.

Though the new slugging change is a good sign that they've changed this mentality. I genuinely hope it continues. It's nice that they're addressing things like slugging and bleedouts - all they need to do now is fix camping, tunneling, bloodlust and nurse/blight and the game might actually be in a great spot.

  • @SuzuKR said:

Yes, I sure am glad they killed off an entire strategy and all the interactivity of the risk-reward play between staking a lost hook state and immediate pressure on another survivor.

    🤓

Sorry nurse but you might actually have to hook people instead of starstruck slugging and bleeding everyone out

  • Nope. They'll probably just remove the slugging fix and keep the free game winning moris.

  • Oh no, we won't see more twins! What a shame!

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

Pickrate and winrate are two different things.

Also I am sure they know that skill for each killer also metters, since look at Nurse. Worst winrate, yet in reality best killer in the game.

I think devs know about it.

Idk. They keep buffing nurse and don't seem to want to nerf her so they may just think she's overrated. Pretty sure a dev said once that pig is stronger than nurse.

  • ...or you could just not buy them?

I think they're a cool idea. Let people enjoy things.

  • Hot take but I think many of these streamers just make it an ego battle. Like, nothing's stopping you from just disconnecting. It's a 5 minute penalty, isn't that better than sitting in the match for 2 hours coping and seething at a hacker who probably isn't even watching the stream?

Not supporting hackers of course but I don't think it's as bad as they're making it out to be.

  • Nurse and blight being killswitched permanently :)

  • @Pulsar said:

I do not think anyone will say that Nurse or Blight needs buffs.

Myers though? Sadako (holy ######### please buff her its been TWO mid-chapter patches), Ghostface? Yeah, they need buffs.

Basically, yes to buffs on an individual basis, no to base-kit all-encompassing buffs.

Ghostface got buffed tho? And just like pinhead's cube chasing, sadako's dedicated mains have figured out a special strat (condemned slugging) that makes the killer viable against even the best players. I don't think very many killers need direct base kit buffs at the moment.

  • @Sandt21 said:

It's too weak at the moment. Buff it to a full 60 seconds and make everyone scream once it activates, and then we're having a conversation

A free hook state of camping? No thanks lol

  • Because the Devs wanted to nerf dh, and now it's nerfed. Will they ever fix it? No, we need to buff killer more, obviously

  • Honestly I think the addon system could use some overhauls. Too many addons that just flat out buff the killer power without any drawback, situation or activation condition. Addons should be more varied and fun, more sidegrades than direct upgrades, and I'm happy that Wesker's browns seem to be following that trend. Otherwise we just get killers using the same strongest cookie cutter addons over and over and over again.

  • I hope we get blighted ji-woon, Myers and onryo. Please.

The Executioner used to be able to see cages, but all that did was give the killer a free tunnel as they would just immediately head to the cage. This is because the cage does not count as an unhook so any defensive perks like DS never activate, nor any perls that requires an unhook. Free down upon save.

The bigger question is why devs never had cage saves count as an unhook.

I get it's cause they want cages to not work with hook perks but still... that's a stupid mechanic lol. All it does is make him tunnel central. They should at least give cages the endurance and speed effect from unhooks when unhooked from one.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

At less they were hit with a pretty heavy nerf

Still instadowns. Still no meaningful drawback - hatchet hitboxes are so big you're not gonna miss at close-mid range unless you're new or boosted, and with iron maiden and dredge's update putting lockers everywhere, reloading has never been easier. It's also extremely uninteractive and still pretty common.

  • Yeah, tried it two days ago but didn't work. I wish you could choose whether you get a killer or survivor daily.

  • None of nurse's addons should just make her flat out stronger with no cost. That's stupid on the strongest killer in the game. She needs a full addon pass, sort of like spirit's green add-ons -more fun and funny addons and NO ADDON that just makes her even stronger with no downside. She will never ever be balanced even at basekit until they rework her (or remove her) but that's the best I can think of.

Ah geez Rick, why would you do that?

Now the Trickster can't Mori you Morty!!! Don't you get it!?! I'd be fine cause I'm the smartest man in the universe but now you'll be fine! What's he gonna do, get juice on you!?!? HE'S PICKLE TRIIIIIIICK!!!!

    Uhh, I guess so Rick...

    😂Lol

  • Skins could fit I think, but I don't think a full chapter would work.

  • Wait really? I tried playing weaker with hoarder and it never activated, even though the survivors were using sprays. I thought it didn't work on his sprays and chests.

Still won because it's wesker but I figured they'd actually thought ahead and negated one overpowered build.

  • Reactive healing was a bad idea from the get go. What it SHOULD do is grant total healing progress when you stun the killer with a pallet, locker, or someone gets hit close to you. Let's say 40%, so three consecutive pallet stuns while injured heals you mid-chase. It'd have a cool niche, a strong effect, require skill to use effectively and would reward actually playing pallets rather than predropping and running.

  • I don't know if a full predator chapter would work, the power would be treading on Wraith's toes quite a lot. Not much else you can add besides his blaster (not another ranged killer thanks) and his heat vision (just wallhacks, we've seen it before.) I think legendary skins might be better - Arnold for David, Predator for Wraith.

They'd have to switch some animations and models around for Predator, such as replacing his axe with the wrist blades and replacing the bell with his cloak device, but that aside it's a perfect fit power wise. Even with the loud uncloaking/decloaking, the blurry heat haze body, the croaking and rasping, etcetera.

I just don't see why killer power skins can't work. Killer powers work like items that the killer holds, such as hillbilly's chainsaw and nurse's "blinker", as we've seen from hackers swapping out killer powers. Multiple variants of items exist for survivors, so the basic principle is there. Surely it wouldn't be impossible to create a new "power item", duplicate all the basic code from wraith's bell in terms of functionality, adjust it to play different animations and sounds for the cloak device, and cause that power item to be swapped in when you play with the predator skin?

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

currently. best way to play wesker is to just 3 gen with his iri add-on+ green infections. you just hit & run with him and force survivor to deplete all 12(8) sprays, then eventually everyone becomes infected with 8% hindered penalty and instant down. Although I'm on winstreak with him, He is not enjoyable to play for me. For perks, run corrupt+call of brine+overcharge+eruption. You can fix weak kit by playing lame with him.

I wish his gameplay was more about outplaying the survivor at loops and doing fun chases rather then camping gens.

...then don't do the stupid 3 gen camping strategy on him? You can still win pretty easily without it, and it's an incredibly boring way to play him, or any killer. It's like playing twins (🤢) and exclusively trying to bleed everyone out, never picking anyone up. Like who hurt you lol.

While I think denying the Killer access to their power would be unfair (some killers have strange powers that I don't know how it would interact with them) I do like the other suggestions. Even a 1% Hindered effect could be helpful in chase.

I don't think deactivating the killer's power (for a very limited time, like 15 or 30 seconds or something) would be any more unfair than Franklin's outright removing the survivor's item on a single hit. Obviously there's a difference in strength but it's the same principle, removing the other side's tools with the use of a perk. And I guess it would function by removing all the "power option" buttons the killer has access to. So for example Myers wouldn't be able to stalk when it's active, but if he's already in tier 3 he'd still instadown and vault fast. And trapper's traps would still be able to trap you, he just wouldn't be able to place or reset any.

Of course the activation condition would have to be pretty strict. Maybe some kind of exhaustion perk - when you take damage from a basic or special attack, you become exhausted and the killer's power is disabled for 16 seconds, let's say. Wouldn't be the end of the world on weaker killers, like ghostface and doctor, but would be a major counter to killers like blight, nurse, spirit, artist, wesker, etcetera, which I think is much healthier than the opposite. Some killers like Myers, billy, oni and bubba would even be able to completely counter it with their instadowns. The only killer that would be severely hurt by this is nurse, and is nurse finally having a counter really a bad thing?

  • Dead zone in middle of map, decent structures on outside of the map. I suppose it's a cool twist on the usual map design, but it still feels pretty killer sided. Don't really see where all the complaints are coming from, especially with all the buildings being nerfed into the ground, the open field sightlines removing the only counterplay to killers like nurse and trickster, and there only being like 7 pallets on the whole map.

Still technically an improvement over the original haddonfield. Killers deserved a W for having to put up with that map, even if I don't think it was as bad after the fence nerf.

  • I'd love that. Hindered after pallet stuns to reward good play in chase, Incapacitated (unable to kick gens, walls, vault, pick up survivors, etcetera), maybe even a special kind of Exposed where the killer can't use their power for a short time. Might give killers like nurse actual counterplay.

I think if balanced well it could be very dynamic to play with and against. Killer Blindness is already kind of meh though. It's not exactly difficult to remember where gens are, usually killers aren't getting aura reveals while in chase (which is where haddie's perk activates) and it doesn't even hide scratch marks. Hiding scratch marks would be super powerful, but given the short duration of the Blindness, I don't think it'd be oppressive, especially not with blood pools and footstep sounds and tracking perks and game sense to help the killer.

  • Once again, the Devs make concessions for lazy killers who don't want to bother improving at the killer. OhTofu was right all along, unsurprisingly.

  • 3 words:

    Slug. Camp. Unloopable.

  • 9. Ended when project W came out and I encountered the first camping/tunneling wesker.

You expect BHVR to make over 70 skins for each killer then?

    Not funny.

  • Don't think they're making more skins for pinhead cause of the NFT fiasco and the rights going back to Clive Barker.

Not a huge loss not seeing more pinheads tho.

  • It makes me feel sick for some reason. Don't know why. Especially on the second bound, it's been making it harder to play him.

  • Yeah, I agree. It's another example of the Devs only changing something off pure data. Self Care was fine where it was, honestly, it could've used a little buff to the heal speed. Nothing crazy. Only nerfed because lots of casual players use it.

Ruin on the other hand I think it's fine that it's not as meta as it was before. Ruin got out of hand very easily on many killers, wasn't very interactive or hard to get value out of, and was basically free regression for not much more than existing near a generator. Although I'm no fan of eruption and PR/DMS, even those have more interaction than the Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer blights of old. Honestly very few killers have run ruin and I don't use it myself so I don't know how bad the 100% regression nerf really is, but I think buffing it is something that should be done carefully.

Seriously why did they bring back PR/DMS. Merciless storms with pain res was such a niche infrequent thing, it's like seeing a scratch on your car door and fixing it by removing the car door without replacing it.

  • Nobody's forcing you to buy it.

Nurse feels really bad at base recharge speed. Also, even though you'll be fine 90% of time without add ons if you're really good at her, you're not going to down a good survivor that actually knows how to run a Nurse in a timely manner without recharge or range.

Oh no, nurse "feels really bad" without her broken addons that remove any thought to her power? That's horrible! God, I can only imagine if a nurse main ever finds these mythical survivors that "actually know how to run a nurse" without omegablink and starstruck/agitation.

She might only 4K at 2 gens!

  • I wish he had a different voice. The gas mask effect is cool and all but hearing legion's AAAUGH really kills the immersion.

You're ok with nerfing every Killer, you've already proven that. Your feedback on a Killer that you've never played is unnecessary

Don't need to be so rude dude lmao. Of course I've played him. Didn't have a whole lot of trouble. Think before you make comments like this next time

  • Honestly I'm with OhTofu on this. People are just used to demogorgon style hitboxes where they don't have to aim all that well. Cool that he's getting changed I guess

They should really really take the time to polish content and not just jam it out.

Yeah but small indie company please understand

  • I don't think they can do more cosmetics for pinhead. IIRC the rights to Hellraiser have transferred over to Clive Barker now, whereas BHVR licensed pinhead from Park Avenue Entertainment, which don't own the license anymore. Unless they negotiate a deal with Clive Barker, (if they even can, not sure on the legal mumbo jumbo) no more pinhead cosmetics.

You won't see me complaining about less pinheads that's for sure. Lol

So.......You're saying you would NERF Myers? And that his basekit is A-ok? This is why survivor mains aren't taken seriously. I am curious though, what are your opinions on Artist, Pinhead and Nurse?

As I've said, his basekit is very well designed and fitting for the character. I wouldn't change it much, if at all. What do you want to do, give him a projectile or a teleport? No. He's extremely accurate to the films, a popular killer even to this day, underrated in strength and above all, fun on both sides. All he needs is his problematic add-ons nerfed, and a tiny QOL change so it feels less miserable to be one tapped out of nowhere. Don't fix what isn't broken, I say.

Artist is my least favourite killer in the game in her current state, but not because she's OP - she's the 4th best killer, yes, but I dislike her because of how poor her design is in practice. The idea of a Hyper Ranged Killer is really interesting, but in practice, her ranged ability is kind of lacking. It's difficult to land prediction crows, and it's interactive on both sides as well, but that whole aspect of "long-ranged pressure" is entirely negated by the fact you can just hop in a locker to get rid of it. I enjoy fighting artists that go for prediction shots through walls instead of mindlessly placing crow at loop and forcing you into it. It's like the difference between a Pyramid Head that goes for shots and a Zone Cone that just puts you into 50/50s and never shoots unless you're in an animation. Zoning is not fun for anyone, and neither is holding W. I've made a long comment about her before, but I think she is in dire (haha) need of changes. I would nerf her chase power (either make her 110% when at least one crow is spawned, or go the nuclear option and make direct crow hits not damage) and then reduce her crow launch cooldown dramatically, therefore making her the true Ranged Killer and strengthening her fun chase playstyle, while nerfing her boring zone playstyle.

Pinhead is a strong killer in the right hands, but fighting him is ruined entirely by solo queue. Most pinheads are terrible at using their power, so resort to the Man With Box M1 playstyle and hoping the box carries them - which it usually does by sheer value of passive pressure. His difficulty is also very overstated, as you can just do a nurse and place the portal at survivors' feet to chain them. He also is very annoying to fight with the constant chains and slowdown. He is not fun in the 1v1 not the killer-beloved 4v1, so I'm not a huge fan.

What do you expect me to say about nurse? She's an overpowered relic of the past that needs to be brought in line with the other killers. I will say that most people overstate her strength a little though - I think her and blight are about the same, both in strength and frustration to fight. I have to say though, I'm glad people are finally realising how easy she is to play. She was actually the first killer I ever properly picked up, which says a lot about her alleged difficulty.
