  • All I'm seeing is he's already plenty strong, he just needs the teensiest little bit of skill. If he's already 4King every game then I fear what will happen when the developers cave to the whining and fatten his hitbox to make it a guaranteed hit every time.

    Yikes.

  • Shouldn't even be a tempban honestly. Game's too buggy. Just make it so that when you DC you lose a small (5-10%) percentage of your account BP.

2 days ago you were saying that Billy is still top 5 killer in the right hands, now you are saying Myers is fine and even his addons should be nerfed. Im not surprised.

If you don't think tombstone piece or infinite 3 murder myers need changing, I don't even know what to say. And for hillbilly, just watch Sofarex to see what I mean. This topic is about myers not him.

You seriously think nerfing Myers with no buffs is the right thing to do? He's unarguably bottom 5, and bottom 1 on many people's lists.

Tombstone Piece needs to go, and Judith's is questionable (I personally think it's balanced, but it's not remotely fun or engaging), but the man himself needs help. And before you ask to nerf Scratched Mirror, you should realize that it's genuinely only viable on a handful of maps, and even then it's a meme countered by running in a straight line. If you verse a SM Myers on Swamp or Yamaoka, they'll be lucky to get two hooks. The addon itself does not need any kind of nerf.

I'll agree that his basekit design is good in that it's simple yet effective for invoking the character, but in modern DBD it's very underpowered for the same reason Trapper having to collect his traps is so bad for him, and he's also the only killer who can completely run out of his power. His addons are a solid three-fourths of what Myers has going for him. You can't take those away and give survivors more information about his power status, and then give him nothing in return.

Bottom 5? No way. He's still got an on-command instadown, pseudo-stealth, vault/lunge speed increases and is good at snowballing, as well as having amazing perk synergy. He can turn the game around with one good use of Evil Within III like oni can, except he doesn't even need to hit people to get his power. Sure he's no nurse but he's better than people give him credit for.

Your scratched mirror argument would be good if not for the fact that every jumpscare myers runs a map offering for these indoor maps, therefore guaranteeing that he goes on them. And I never said it was exceedingly strong, just uninteractive. Like you said he can't chase normally, which removes the most fun aspect of the game, and replaces it with cheap hits at random with no way to tell they're coming. Sure it's "scary" but it gets old very quickly. Every jumpscare myers game is the exact same.

Myers never runs out of his power. If he's run out of his power, the game is over and has been over for a long time. And I never said to nerf his best fair addons, like the stalk rate addons and his finite duration addons. The warning change is just a quality of life change so it feels less miserable when you get 99d and one tapped out of nowhere because self care meg fed him stalk. But I think his power is very well designed so I don't think it should be changed more than necessary.

  • Honestly, I think he just needs his addons nerfed and he's mostly fine! Remove the tombstones, nerf infinite tier 3 to 60 extra seconds instead of infinite, maybe look at jumpscare mirror a bit to make it more interactive to fight. But for basekit I think he's pretty well designed. Maybe bring back that sound effect that lets you know he's about to go to tier 3 but I don't think I'd change him any more than that.

  • @Silasy said:

They reduced his collisions with survivors and increased with anything else other than survivors. Op killer lmao

You are lying. Hillbilly is still an awesome killer in the right hands.

  • Nemesis. He's easier, more popular, "cooler" and comes with better survivors.

  • The epitome of double standards as a killer. Very little counterplay if the player is decent, busted addons and perk synergy, as strong as nurse with the right build in the right hands, and utter tripe to play against. And yet this community apparently loves him.

He's more fair than nurse but that isn't a high bar to cross. I think making him 4.4m/s would fix a lot of his issues.

Slinger is one of the easiest killers to beat since his changes, also "how quickly he can aim" are we forgeting the artritis mechanic that lets everyone dodge a hit very easily?

I am a slinger main and almost 4/5 shots or snipes I get make me absolutelly cringe at how survivors let me get away with then when they should avoid it 9/10 times.

Compared to huntress, pyramid head, artist, other killers with ranged attacks, yeah it is still very fast. The only killers with ranged attacks that can attack as fast or faster are trickster and nemesis, but both of those killers need to land multiple hits. Deathslinger only needs one.

  • The thing is, being 110% doesn't really affect mobility. Look at Scott Junds video about it. All it really does is affect chase ability. Killers are 110% usually because they have a crazy ranged or movement ability that dominates in chase, such as huntress, spirit, hag and hopefully in the future blight. Making a killer 110% has one purpose, and that's to make it harder for them to get hits without using their power, usually to curb their chase oppressiveness a little to make it fair.

In terms of deathslinger, he has a crazy ranged ability that dominates in chase. Yes, you can argue it's weaker than other 110% killers, but it still makes him an absolute chasing powerhouse and easily one of the stronger killers in the game if you can remotely aim. Making him 115% not only wouldn't make sense cause of his leg brace, but it would make this chase power (and his zoning power) even stronger.

Some killers like artist, pyramid head and nemesis can get away with being 115% because their powers, although being extremely strong in chase, aren't really something you ONLY use in a chase. Pyramid head for example doesn't use his laser every single time, and it's got a very limited range, similar to nemesis who requires three hits for his first down. Artist is a little more contentious but I don't mind her being 115%. Deathslinger though would be torture at 115% because he does use his power all the time, and increased movement speed would just make this power even stronger due to how quickly he can aim and shoot. He would be a nightmare to fight.

  • This doesn't change the core issues with nurse. What she needs is a full rework. Such as:

    1. Nurse can no longer blink through walls or dropped pallets. Can still blink through windows.

    2. Nurse's fatigue is increased by 1 second per charge used.

    3. Blink attacks are no longer special attacks.

    4. Stunning nurse with a pallet while she is blinking makes her get stunned, THEN get fatigued.

    5. Blink range reduced to 16 metres.

    6. Full add-on nerf. Literally all of hers are way stronger than they should be.

    7. Nurse is now 110% movement speed.

You cannot make a killer like nurse balanced. You need to go scorched earth, and maybe build her back up a bit if she proves a little too weak.

  • Yeah let's give nurse 5 blinks. Great idea

Then I'm sure you won't mind going against a 4 man beamer squad with a Meat Plant or Garden of Joy offering with meta perks and comms every single game, then.

Yes, it's part of the game. So were 0 hook moris and instagen BNPs. Doesn't mean they should stay that way.

  • I don't know. Survivors and Killers just being randomly taken for no reason is, well, random. I like the idea of a big overarching plot behind it all. Honestly I just want the rest of the pariahs, you can't convince me Jonah wasn't meant to be one with all the Black Vale stuff in that DLC.

  • Oreo can be annoying though. Constantly slugging to cheese her 0 hook moris, spamming her teleport to slow the game to a crawl, etc. She's not very strong but she can be annoying lol.

  • I hope we finally get blighted Feng and maybe blighted Mikaela. Why we still haven't gotten a tome for Feng either is beyond me.

As for killers idk. We're probably gonna get blighted trickster, artist and ghostface or something. Bhvr seems to love trickster and artist, and with the licensed nemesis and pyramid head blight from last year this opens the door for other licensed killers to get blight skins. Maybe even Micheal.

  • Nurse needs nerfs asap. I think we should organise a campaign to show the Devs this, like what happened with old legion.

  • Feng always gets the best skins. I don't mind her getting so many, but I wish Kate and Jake got more as well.

  • A simple change would be that the chains don't stop you from doing things like healing or gens, they just make you slow. That way he'd be a lot more tolerable in solo queue, instead of getting free 4Ks because the box exists. In return they can make his chain easier to hit.

  • No thanks. The less pinhead players the better.

  • They're not gonna delete nurse. I bet they won't even rework her. They'll probably just make her attacks special attacks and call it a day 🤣

  • I agree. People have forgotten about doctor and most killer have stopped playing him in favour for easier stronger killers, but he's always been insanely annoying and lacking counterplay. I hope he gets changes in the future.

  • If I could remove one killer from the game, it would be artist.

She is not fun to play as or against, she has very limited interactivity and counterplay on both sides, and her power balance is lopsided. She's meant to be a killer that excels at range above all else, so why is it that at range her power can be negated by just hopping in a locker for a second? It makes her entire ranged playstyle near irrelevant, and that part actually takes skill. I never mind when I get sniped for damage because long range hits with the crows is actually hard, and can actually be dodged if you're on point. Her cooldown for crow launches/time she has to land a follow-up shot before birds are repelled is often too long/short to land another, which is fine, but still annoying considering how impressive a long-ranged double prediction down is. She is much more fun in this "blind, prediction ranged crow through wall" approach, like a souped up pyramid head, because there is significant skill expression on both sides and gives her a niche at being the only killer who is equally dangerous at range as she is up close.

However, this fun playstyle goes out the window at close range, where she is just Zoning: The Killer with the most uninteractive chase power possibly ever created. You simply place the crow facing the direction a survivor will run into and chase them into it. If the survivor crosses the crow's path, the crow's sizable hitbox combined with its lightning-fast speed makes it a guaranteed hit, unless you're far behind them, can't see them directly and guess wrong. But the hitbox is so large that you can guess wrong a lot of the time and still clip them - and the hitbox being large is a good thing, otherwise long range snipes would be flat out impossible, but still. And if they try and bait it out, you just follow up and hit them. There isn't much you can do to a patient artist besides running away, but she also loses negligible distance for setting up a crow and it takes ~1 second, meaning there is much, much less room for outplay when she sets up a crow. Running away from the loop isn't as viable as it is against someone like dredge, and unless the map's spawned a loop literally right next to that loop, you are likely dead.

Killers like hag and trapper can completely shut down loops, but it's balanced by having them invest time into doing so, allowing you to punish a mid-chase trap by running away. This is good counterplay, but you can't do that with artist, and yet she has the exact same result as hag setting a trap at a loop; a free health state with little counterplay to the trap once set. Juking a crow doesn't work because of the same reasons juking the dredge's remnant doesn't work - if the killer is patient, they will simply wait until you are close to the remnant/in the middle of the crow path, and it's a guaranteed health state. Uninteractive, not very skillful, and boring on all sides. Not even to mention the addon Matias Baby Shoes which reveals auras around crows, making the only limited in-loop counterplay to zoning she has, which is baiting out a crow, worthless.

I very much dislike artist. If I had to rework her, I would improve her long range and crow swarm hit playstyle and nerf her up close flight path zoning playstyle. Jumping into a locker should not delete birds, and repelling should take a bit longer but not deplete when interrupted. Meanwhile, she should either slow to 4.4m/s while at least one crow is active, or her crows should not be able to damage through a direct hit. She should be the Hyper Ranged Killer, not the Just Pesters You at Range but Is Unstoppable Up Close Killer.

  • Yeah, onyro is much stronger than people give her credit for I think. Especially on maps like that. I wouldn't be opposed to there being a cooldown before you can gain another curse stack after getting one, so they can't cheese condemned kills.

  • Good. He's obnoxious, has little counterplay if the player has a basic grasp on timing, causes sensory issues to many players, and is not fun to fight. But at least he's more fun than blight.

  • I think they're just tired of giving away free, unique cosmetics and want to see how little they can get away with. Expect 50k BP for September's Amazon Prime reward.

  • Less than 8 seconds, and nurse/blight gets a free down due to their powers. Why does it matter to you if you don't tunnel as these killers?

Not for me I can't get that muscle memory everyone speaks of. Without Plad my "hit" rate of blinks is below 30% with it I'm about 50%

    Yikes. Just, yikes.

Nurse is not hard dude. I don't want to be mean but come on. I learnt nurse in like three games. Just point and click.

  • I think the stun should vary in length based on the killer. For normal M1 killers like trapper and legion it should be 5 seconds, but for ranged and mobility killers it should be more along the lines of 8 seconds. Either that, or disable their powers after the DS stun for 15~ seconds to stop an instant re-down.

Oh, and it shouldn't deactivate for the rest of the match if used once. Absolutely no reason for that now that conspiracy actions deactivate the perk. Most of those actions shouldn't even deactivate the perk in the first place.

I would honestly not buff her base kit at all. It's pretty good allready.

If anything her base kit needs a nerf more than a buff. She's 4th best killer for a reason.

  • Yes. She simply cannot function in this game - letting her stay is sacrificing the fun and playability of the entire survivor role for the sake of diehard sweaty nurse mains' 4K streaks. I know this sounds like bait, but if you think she should remain, you are simply wrong and likely nurse/killer biased.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

He definitely is harder on console, but you can still do stuff with his power. You need to take advantage of that brief second of bump time to reposition around the obstacle you just hit. You can also do the weird slide/hug techs where you look down or whatever to increase turning, because I've done it a few times. As for situations where you're close to a survivor, clearly within rush attack range, and then Blight does a lunge instead instead of instantly hitting them, causing you to miss, I don't know what to tell you. Same thing with when you bump next to someone and want to rush attack immediately, your camera is always going to freak out and you won't be able to hit them. PC players have no such problems, because his power is so much more responsive with a mouse that can flick and everything. So it is harder on console, but not impossible. Trickster though is literally impossible.

It's trickster dude. In no conceivable timeline is he even close to being difficult in any situation. That's like saying Bubba is impossible on console because the weird turning makes you bump into things. Yeah, but the killer is so mindnumbingly easy that that doesn't matter.

He's dropping waaaay too many blood orbs, iirc.

It's like people using Devour despite it being bugged rn.

Devour Hope is bugged? Uh oh.

  • Lol. Nice try, nurse profile picture.

Nurse is broken and people are tired of her, and survivors just got nerfed. Nerfing survivors again will kill this game. Maybe after nurse/blight/artist/trickster/slowdowns are nerfed, then we can consider weakening the role at top level a bit. But it's not about survivor nerfs right now.

  • Warning: Sweat detected. Warning: Sweat detected.

  • I've been instadowned by blight's rush before and I don't remember him using the iridescent addon. Something's fishy with his power right now.

  • Tapes take 25 seconds to go up a stack, and IIRC there is a 10~ second grace period where stack buildup pauses after a chase is ended. Could be wrong. Still though, that means that an oreo that does this would have to moonwalk chase you for about 3 minutes, all without entering a chase, injuring you, or having line of sight with you. I think it's fine, although I haven't gone against a condemned slugging oreo yet.

  • This is probably a baiting post but nerfing pyramid head is something that really should be done at some point. He is near uncounterable in loops due to his zoning abilities + railgun creating lose/lose situations, can tunnel for free with a notification as to where the vulnerable guy is unhooked, and can camp like a mofo with his multi hit blast. I can't even count the number of times where I've been caged and my teammate unhooks me, but pyramid goes right back to the cage, hits us both with his power, and immediately tunnels me again. Something needs to change.

I get tunnelling is like his thing but come on. He's a pretty middle of the pack killer, stronger than most but he could still use some fine tuning. His addons should also probably be looked at.

As long as she doesn't get the Freddy-Hillbilly-Deathslinger treatment.

Do you have even the slightest idea of how frustrating and infuriating that is when it happens to the character you love?

I can understand being frustrated with Nurse, but no player deserves to go through that.

Boo ******* hoo. Nurse is overpowered, far too easy for how strong she is, and has been a problem for 6+ years. No tiny nerf will fix a mess of design like her. It needs to be ground up - no more crutches for nurse mains who can't play normal, actually challenging killers. It's not like DH got spared because its users really enjoyed it and got used to using it, so why should even more broken things like nurse be kept the same either?

And all three of those killers you mentioned are still perfectly fine, strong killers. Sure, maybe the hillbilly nerf knocked him down from S tier to low A tier, but deathslinger barely changed in strength. Freddy even got buffed! Changes aren't the end of the world.

I've always really liked nemesis. Definitely some strong anti-loop, but it definitely has decent counterplay, so hes also fun to go against in my opinion.

Killers without any anti-loop just don't seem to work, they are always too weak. So I hope the new killer will have some good anti-loop, but one that allows for good counterplay on the survivor side as well.

What counterplay? You vault, he insta readies his tentacle and hits you. You drop the pallet, he insta readies his tentacle and hits you, or at worst, breaks the pallet. You try to dodge, or fake, or use corners and walls, and he does the drag exploit so it hits you anyway - or just cancels in 0.5 seconds and hits you. A nemesis who has a brain has about as much counterplay as pyramid head and trickster. It's lucky that most of them don't, then.

  • The only way anyone would have fun against blight.

  • Might be controversial but I don't think plague should start with a red fountain. She's plenty strong as it is, especially with thana/dying light/pentimento, etc, and everyone seems to agree she's A tier. Not having to earn her super strong, nearly unloopable chase power is one thing, but getting access to it at the start of the game - more if she brings addons? I don't know chief. Is being permanent tier 3 myers at all times not enough?

  • So "buff" boons by making them not get rid of the hex? Why on earth would I use this mechanic? Boons are weak enough as is with all the sledgehammers to the knees Circle of Healing received (for mostly good reasons, although I think it was fine at 75% healing), they don't need a nerf.

  • Blight works on any map dude. If anything he should be really good on eyrie because of how many rocks and bushes there are to use bump logic on and how (relatively) small the map is. Maybe try improvising your flicks and hug techs or whatever.

  • You don't need slowdown perks on blight dude. Try running something fun or creative.

  • Don't know why you posted this honestly. It just proves that even with all these crutches against solo q survivors, in the easiest state for killer the game has ever been, with an overpowered set of add-ons, you still lose. I hate to say it but this a heavy skill issue.

Why do people expect FUN out of the killer's power? It is supposed to be fun for him, not you.

That's such a toxic mentality. This is a video game, it's meant to be fun for everyone. Powers should be fun to fight against as well, or you have awful designed killers like nurse, old/current with addons spirit, addons blight, old deathslinger, trickster, nemesis w/ drag exploit, pinhead, etc.
