Pretty sure, IDK what to call it, never watched Stranger Things, but it looks pretty similar to this outfit.
YES! I've been wanting that one in game! : D
She literally hunts the Demogorgon while wearing that, I'm surprised it wasn't in there already.

No, they are horribly unbalanced. It is not very hard to tunnel each person down and EM. You don't have to be any good at all as killer to kill everyone pretty quickly. That is not balanced.
I think most of the killers I've talked to agree that EM is horribly imbalanced and overall bad for the game.
Sure it's not hard to do that, but that's an action by the killer, not a result of the offering. I'm sure you'd complain a lot more if a killer had to perform the animation when they approached a survivor on the ground after first hook. The killer wouldn't have a choice, the survivor wouldn't have fun, and there would be a lot more resentment about it.
It's all a choice by the killer in the end.

This is what it was like when I started playing. I think we are doing ALOT better now.
That is exactly what I was referencing. Since I joined after Clown was released, this evidence was crucial to any recent argument about balance.

Killers are the power role.
Any Killer who doesn't feel any power... is just bad at the game or being outplayed by survivors.
Everytime I see a killer main talk about how survivors are the power role, I just laugh because they just admitted they are bad at the game.
Not really. Almost every killer can only punish survivor mistakes, with exception of 2 (and maybe billy, but that's a strong maybe), and those are the ones survivor mains always complain about. They are getting nurse nerfed, so I will not be surprised if they target Spirit next (which some are already doing).
Survivors control the chase, the length of the game, and how many points the killer can get (for both emblems and BPs). They essentially dictate if the killer can have fun or not.
I play both equally, but find myself having to defend killers more because they get the short end of the stick with a lot of things. Sure, survivors have been nerfed over time, but did you see what it was like in 2016? That stuff was ridiculous. You cannot justify it.
-
First of all... spacing. You have to break up this monster. Most won't bother to READ this, never mind analyze it for useful content in this form.
Second: your title. It gives no bearing on what you're going to say. Most people pick on something if you don't sound serious, and that's what this title basically says.
Third: Gen rushing is absolutely a tactic. Survivors' goal is to survive, to escape. That's a strategy that works, so of course they're going to do that. A killer's job is to stop the survivors, so planning for this is going to be a must.
Fourth: I agree gen times are short. But survivors have to hold a button to complete progress and extending that would make survivor painful. That's why the suggestion to make a second objective has been making the rounds multiple times. Something else for survivors to do besides gens, saboing, and cleansing.
Fifth: Maps are currently getting reworks for hex totems similar to Bedham and Hawkin's Lab... and I don't even know where all the Hawkin's totems are...
Sixth: That's called making money. They market the skins, and those that want to buy them can. The event is optional, and while, yes, you should be able to get all of them, that's not our decision to make.
Unfortunately, a lot of this issues you bring up sound like personal gripes. They SOUND like personal gripes, when I know most of them are not. I have issues when a gen is popped 50 sec. into a game because they spawned next to each other. It just isn't reasonable for the gatekeeper emblem.
Totem spots on old maps are atrocious, and are being looked at, especially maps like Haddonfield and the Asylum, with their atrocious spots.

An instaheal was a let a survivor have their fun.
By your logic an instaheal will only be toxic if you chose to use it toxicly.
I understand a nerf was needed but personally believed (as someone who plays killer at least 50% of the time anyway) that the pink one should do what the purple one does on live and the purple one should do what the pink one does on the PTB.
Now I've read your comment and just don't understand a thing, you use moris to instakill people way earlier than you should. You nearly don't stand a chance against a killer with an ebony mori and if they don't get a 4k with that (or a 3k with a hatch escape) they are just ######### and that's the honest truth. The survivors need to be 10000 times better than the killer to even stand half a chance against that bullshit.
Instaheals on the other hand aren't that bad other than the odd pink insta revive from floor which needed to be nerfed as I said already. When I play killer and I go against some instaheals I still tend to do fine against them and they don't impact that game that much and are fun to use but as a killer I now don't use any of my pink moris as it removes all challenge from the game and makes it to easy and for survivors it makes it to frustrating and hard. Moris totally sway the balance and make the game infuriating, you can't use a Mori in a fair way other than maybe a green mori but even so the first person to be found will usually be unfairly removed and the other survivors will have to deal with a difficult 3 man game
Same with Instablinds, DS, BT, and all other second chance perks? Also Keys? Killers have far fewer of those. It's not like there are perks that reward killers for playing badly.
That is true. I still think they were mostly used toxically. I had no issue with the concept, just execution. That's definitely an argument to be made.
Not true, if a bad killer brings an ebony and never catches anyone, then the mori was wasted, wasn't it? It's the same as bringing an instaheal but losing it to a Franklins...
No, but think about it for higher ranks with those that know how to abuse them to their full. It's not a fun experience. It's not a fun experience for a new killer too, since they have just secured a chase then are expected to do it again... then they experience locker DS's for the first time...
It just seems a little one sided what you're arguing for. Killers take on so much survivor sh*t, especially with all of the second chance perks and items, then they can't have a little fun with one offering? Seems like entitlement to me.

Or maybe it’s such that each character is individual , but different players are dressed differently? That is, for example, I have it dressed in one suit, and the other person in another, but by lore he is individual?
just so we're both clear, you are proposing that a survivor that appears twice in one trial is the same person, just different times? because then I'd completely agree.
The lore is stating that each survivor added is one in the fog. We just see repetitions because... reasons.
Ultimately the reason is up to the person interpreting it.

''A killer shouldn't require perks or addons to do well.'' Do you even hear yourself when you're typing crap like that out? So really if all killers were very good without perks slapping really good perks on them would just buff their already good power and throw survivors into the dirt, this is exactly why things like Nurse were nerfed in the first place.
I used to be like you and claimed that there was counterplay to Nurse and I frequently played her at red ranks all the damn time. And during all of my time playing her I learnt that I was wrong. Her basekit was so damn good, it ignored nearly every bit of counterplay that this game offers to you as a survivor. The only counterplay is to break LOS and hope she messes up so you can capitalize on her mistake, in short; a guess.
Survivors don't have to have perks to do well. They can complete gens really quickly even without a toolbox, and can survive easily without any perks if they tried. Killers shouldn't need them either. It's that simple. What's confusing about that?
A perk is not supposed to make them better by default, but change how a killer plays, or, perhaps, with SMART play, improve them. Addons are the same.
Are you ok with Legion being physically impossible to down people using their power? Because now that nurse has that kind of problem forming, I'm curious to know about Legion, who also has issues survivor mains don't want the devs to fix.
There is counterplay to nurse. Hide from her, outsmart her, or juke her. Also Dead Hard exists, and exhaustion perks help. Just don't loop. I don't see what the issue is... and I do play at high ranks. Nurse's kit rewards a killer's motor skill and punishes a survivors mistake of being found.
"At first I used to be like you". Did you play at high ranks as a killer at some point, or did you stop playing killer... because it sounds high and mighty with a tinge of survivor bias.
-
No. Not every killer has a one shot, and those that do either have to use their ability (which is weak like Bubba and GF), or addons (Huntress and Clown). Getting rid of NOED does two things:
- Encourages toxic SWFs to be more toxic at endgame.
- People to pick certain killers even more than they already do.
NOED is a safety net perk. Not just to get used to a killer, but also to try new things and rely on it if it fails. It's already weak in the fact it's a hex that, under the current game, has no reason to remain intact if a survivor sees it.

That was one of them yes! But the WHOLE moonwalking exploit was cause the mend went down in TR and you could slap them then turn around and walk at them backwards!
That's why FF removes blood now! Which is stupid, cause FERAL things see blood more!
Anyway, alot of Survivors complained that if a Legion was chasing you there was NO way to live through it. You WOULD go down. That's why I say "Timer"
To be honest I never played pre-rework legion because I was moving during that time. So I don't have that experience. I am a legion main now though. : )

@Omans said:
How about those of us who have played high rank base nurse and realized the basekit was the reason the addons sent her power into the stratosphere? I might actually go back to playing her now that she's not a guaranteed win in 95+ percent of games if you play well.
A killer shouldn't require perks or addons to do well. That's why Billy, Spirit, and pre-rework Nurse were picked so much. Because you aren't forced to take Ruin every game, nor use certain addons to have the edge you need to win.
-
@Cyro said:
Trying to justify Nurse before her nerf is pointless.
At the end of the day she broke the game in so many ways and killers relied on the Nurse to carry them through the ranks like it was nobody's business. So what you'd come across the odd survivor who because they've played against so many Nurse's have become good at using their resources to stay alive against her.
That being said, I don't agree with all the gutting she has been given but hey. I was sitting here hoping they'd nerf Spirit.
No she didn't... or at least not as much as gen rushing itself is game breaking. There is a reason she was picked more, like spirit and billy, at high ranks... because she's one of the few viable killers. Theoretically, you can take legion to rank one. Will you? Heck no.
She made survivors play in different ways to what they are used to... stealth, or juking. I hate to say it, but it's really about getting good as survivor to know how to counter nurse.

Typical hypocrisy from DbD. I don't argue that IHs were not powerful, but to claim those to be unbalanced and to leave EMs in the game is quite hypocritical. Sorry, but neither take much of any skill to use, and both create near game-breaking issues. Nerf one, you need to nerf the other.
Ebony moris on their own are not unbalanced. It's the killer's choice how to use them, and is the one offering that gives them the power role, since survivors can't afford to make mistakes for once.
-
@Valla said:
OMG, they had to nerf Instaheals at some point.
Also, it is time to get rid of Red Moris. Those are at least as broken as instaheals.

Yet there's so much skill involved with deleting someone from the match by using a mori after just one hook? 66% faster elimination is far too powerful and takes no skill to use.
It's not the offering, but how it's used. If a killer never catches anyone, then it won't matter, will it?
Moris just take away your ability to make mistakes, and I find that's what survivors are mad about most.

Hoping Mori's are the next thing to receive an overhaul next. A lot of the things that make the game unfun at times are slowly being chipped away and it's actually nice to see.
The addon changes and Nurse changes are both fine honestly imo. We'll see how it is in the PTB though.
It's not moris that are unfun, but the people that use them.
It's also a "let the killer have their fun round", since every game you have a mori, is ten games you escape easily.

With the first one it reminds me of the perk: Beast of Prey's description: "Your lust for a kill is so intense that your connection with the entity is momentarily lost, making you totally unpredictable." It works with what the Frenzy represents. I'm amazed that they didn't do that, to be honest. : P

Oh, can I put that idea on my Thread for Legion Reworks?
Sure. When I mean if they don't hit 5 times, it just means that it'll take 5 hits to down a person with frenzy, which can be achieved, but it'll take skill since you can't miss a frenzied attack. Just for clarification. : P
If you send a link I'll read it. : )
-
Well... speaking from a purely gameplay standpoint, it'd fit the whole humanoid issue for killers, as well as circumvent Death being a rejected concept, but getting the license I think would be tricky.
However, lore wise, they'd be incompatible. The Dementors from what I remember consume souls, but the Entity needs the souls of survivors to survive. It wouldn't be a good match, I'm afraid...
-
Well, I like the idea, but that would mean base legion can hit multiple times, and with the way survivor mains are now... they'd veto that. (Look at the Nurse Nerf.)
I'd like to see legion as a killer who can strike survivors multiple times, that's what a frenzy is supposed to be. I would make so that every time you hit a survivor with DW, you get a smaller and smaller percentage of your bar back to keep frenzying. That way it rewards skillful legion players while providing survivors with counterplay. Since, if legion doesn't hit you 5 times in Frenzy, their time will have been wasted then. But it provides legion with two types of gameplay. Which is more than they have now. This could also combo with perks like STBFL really well. Just my opinion, though. : P
-
Base speed is usually the same for all M1 killers (every killer except Huntress, Nurse, and Hag).
Lunge range is average for all killers. They standardized this. It may seem like freddy has a long lunge, but it's similar to all others.
-
He's a decent killer, but definitely not the best one out there. I give him a 4 because he's definitely better than some of the roster, but... he can still be stomped if a team knows what they're doing.

You can cheat the system in regular games as a killer, they kill 2 pretty fast tunneling and then they farm with the remaining 2 via chases hits slugging letting the other surv go to heal, then they get back more chase rinse and repeat until he thinks thats enough and finish the game.
As I said, they dont suffer at all, If they Depip with Mori the next game they Pip fast.
You named it, Mirror Meyers, 30 Blink Nurse, Prayer Beads (even regular addons are too much with a skilled Spirit), Iridiscent Heads, Hags with traps huge as a tank.
I had to eat that, this last Blood Hunt even was a fest full of OPed dorks doing that to deny survs getting points.
That requires willing survivors. Killers can max out BPs by playing normally. That doesn't take into account the emblem system at all...
That part is true. Good killers don't need moris to get kills. But they probably wouldn't play with a mori in the first place.
Mirror myers isn't toxic, it's bad on most maps. And you're one of the ones complaining about spirit (who is countered by a few different things, mainly stealth). I'm surprised you don't have an issue with invisible traps you can tele to from any distance on Hag...
Well, I missed the last bloodhunt due to personal reasons so I can't speak to that.
-

Well the last nerve is not that bad, it gives him more time to think, because we tend to use teleportation too quickly before this update.
However she needs to know where she is going, I find, and for that you need a RARE addon .. understand something? Not me !
Cheat? No! It's just to be able to know where we are going !!!
That's getting changed. Plaid flannel will be a common addon after the rework.

You are getting everything wrong, I said you wont pip using Mori (or make lots of BPs), but as soon they depip or safe pip they can Pip EZ in the next regular match.
Its easier to pip as a killer you can cheat the emblem system, unlike survivors who needs to do gens and other stuff, you wont pip in red ranks only by doing chases or doing gens only, you need a good overall game.
A killer gets points even for farting, points for spotting a surv, points for hitting, points for hooking, points for breaking pallets, points for using the chainsaw etc etc.
Unless its a terrible killer what I say is a fact.
I dont understand why there are so many SWF toxic idiots, a friend of mine who is a main killer and skilled always tells me the kind of stuff they do and when they get caught they DC in less than a blink.
Some of them are really good and run infinite loops and stuff like that, but my conclusion is you have to eat it, you wont 4k every game as a killer, and I as a survivor sometimes must eat the cheap tunneler and camper that uses some OP addon and downs the whole team in a minute or makes the game a boring hooking simulator.
Moris simply cut the game in half, thats never a good thing and such a powerful mechanic can be used by training wheels idiots to abuse the game, and they are used a lot some losers have almost 400 Ebonys because they are not rare at all thats a joke so Im dont want Instaheals or Ebony garbage.
Today I played vs a 4 blink Nurse he wasnt good and when we were close to get the last gen he hooked me and then did the tunnel and 2 escaped, I told him to enjoy that crap since Nurse is gonna be nerfed.
Speaking of time Im watching some Brazilian streamer that I avoid as a killer because is a toxic POS that runs OPed crap and he finished a game and in less than a minute was in a lobby, so its weird but with these dedicated servers I waited 10 minutes to find a game, and Im good for today they run like ######### to be honest.
That is not what you said. You said this:
"Moris are a problem yes, they don't suffer at all they pip fast, make lots of BPs and its just a dumb way to see the same animation over and over again, its a cheap bought game, and speaking about finding games, with this dedicated servers thing Im having lots of troubles to find games."
You say clearly that "They don't suffer at all they pip fast". That is saying that you think they pip fast with a mori.
Well, with most of the emblems in survivor hands, how is it you can't exactly "game the system"? Gatekeeper is literally out of your control with most killers, and some suffer with Chaser because of the way instadowns are counted.
You will gain less BPs because of the shorter duration of a game because of a mori (that is, like I said before, if you mori after first hook).
Not all toxic SWFs are idiots. I play against a strong group regularly that I can identify them even if they aren't their main survivors.
They cut it by 2/3rds of the game for each survivor mori'd, if played the scummy way, which I don't. That's why I don't blame the offering, just the killer who uses it in that way. I use it to replace bad hooks or to counter toxic SWFs, but other use it to have fun their own way.
What do you mean by "OP" stuff? Iri hatchets? Instasaw Billy? Mint Rag+Shackles Hag? You can't just claim that without explanation.

Is this a theory? I heard that each character is individual, but the fact that the same survivors can meet is game mechanics
Well, the realm is confirmed to be a place separated from time and space. The Entity is confirmed to feed on survivor hope. The entity is confirmed to be getting stronger. It is also confirmed that auric cells are the building blocks of the entity's realm.
Ultimately, that part is my theory. That there is only one of each survivor, just interacting at different "times" or trials. It's one that a fair few people like though.
It's a lot of Lovecraftian horror, ultimately.
-
The pip system is terribly balanced for both sides. It's ridiculously hard to do for solos, and killers have most of their emblems in the survivor's hands. It doesn't really reward either side for playing well, just having long games. If I stomp a game with bubba really quickly, I will not get a double pip, but only a black pip due to how short it is. It's ridiculous.
At least it does a good job of shoving the toxic ones out to red ranks though.
-
Sloppy only applies with basic attacks, so if you lose them in a chase after hitting with frenzy, you're out of luck.
However, if you combine the two, it can punish survivor for healing or not healing. D*mned if they do D*mned if they don't.

Moris are a problem yes, they dont suffer at all they pip fast, make lots of BPs and its just a dumb way to see the same animation over and over again, its a cheap bought game, and speaking about finding games, with this dedicated servers thing Im having lots of troubles to find games.
They do not pip fast nor make lots of points. Do not make that up or try to argue that without evidence. It immediately makes Devout emblem suffer as well as Malicious and Devious emblems because the game is finished too fast (that's if a killer mori's immediately). Having three bronze emblems will not allow you to pip, perhaps safety pip, but not pip or double pip.
BPs are cut short because, like with emblems, they make the game go too quickly. Sure, you get 1000 points for a mori, but you could get a lot more if you hook the survivor two more times. As well as hit them 4 more times (assuming they either heal or DS the killer at least once). A killer doesn't get to use their power often if a game goes too quickly.
You have to play the game for a while, and level up the killer you're playing to properly use them. You can bring a mori but not have the chance to use it if survivors are better than you. Ultimately, it just forces survivors to "Get Gud" and play stealthy. Something survivor mains do not like to do (they prefer to be in a chase).
As far as I've seen, it's the only counter to really toxic SWF teams, which are a severe problem at red ranks. It's the easiest way to turn the table without relying on Ruin.
I think the animations are cool and fit with most of the killers.
It usually takes 20+ minutes for me to find a game as killer. It usually takes 2- minutes to find a game as survivor.
They are not as big a problem because most people don't bring them often. Maybe once or twice a month do I see a red mori. Compare that to Keys and Instaheals (which are being nerfed soon, thank god)... you just don't have an argument here.
-
I like the idea, since charms are added, I think there could be ways to customize that. However, you risk making the game too complicated, because with powers like Plague, which need a color difference to be obvious to survivors what type of vomit she has, being able to change her vomit to orange or black would not help survivors understand the situation and cause more confusion in the long run.
With things like huntress hatchets, they could make the design of the hatchet based off of Addons, since Iridescent head is described to look a certain way, etc.
-
Moris aren't the problem, it's the people who use them. It's just a let the killer have fun offering, since they suffer with rank, BPs, and survivor respect that game. Just let them have their fun and find another game. Survivors can find games real quick.

That's why I said effectively. You don't get it back as cash, that'd be dumb on behavior's part since they're a business.

But are the characters individual?
Well, there technically is only one of each character in the fog... but since the realm is timeless, there can be multiple people only because they are from different times.
This is why a new david gets paired with an experienced david, or there are three megs. One of them will know who lives and who doesn't, but they still are forced to survive regardless.

Myers had a 6 meter terror radius in tier 1, so this is a buff.
Most people I know run Myers with M&A, so I see no change.

I thought undetectable meant 0 terror radius does that mean tier 1 myers has no terror radius now?
He already had that and no red stain... it's just for consistency that he was given the status.
