I'm fine with them changing Off the Record if they change Overcharge.
Pretty sure both will be nuked compared to what they are in the PTB.
Overcharge makes certain 3 gens v v v hard.

Endurance shouldn't be able to activate if a survivor is currently affected by Deep Wounds. That way, survivors won't be able to combo Off the Record or Borrowed Time with Dead Hard, Mettle of Man, or Styptic Agent (essentially giving them 3 possible ways to avoid going down e.g BT/OtR+DH+Styptic).
If a survivor is in the Deep Wounds State, then the next hit they take should down them if they haven't mended, and all Endurance effects that could be gained should be nullified. If the dev's did that then this wouldn't be an issue.
It's not going to hit live as is, but I'm interested to see how they do eventually address it.

OP never said that the video 100% represents their opinion/that bc 'streamer said it' that it's automatically correct tho
I thought they posted the vid to discuss its contents/how it compares to what we've been talking about elsewhere
Just someone being contrarian.
I try to ignore sleepytime posters, but sometimes it is fun to engage and see how they respond.
Here's a pretty interesting Doctor soft-buff, btw

I would find it a lot more valuable if you did your own video and expressed your own opinion on it instead of posting a streamer's video as if it were relevant
I'm sorry you have nothing to add/say on the topic. Hopefully, you'll learn some stuff as the PTB goes on.

Gotta love the classic "ad hominem" fallacy where you dismiss actual concerns, opinions or facts simply because the person providing insight doesn't align with your personal vision ;)
Don't take 'no content sleepytime zzzzzzzzzzzzzz' posts from the usual suspects seriously....ESPECIALLY around PTB time when things are obviously broken.

its nearly impossible to unless your in a swf.
I'm in solo q.
Went 6/9 yesterday (day before was p brutal with one self-yeet).
I don't find it too bad, but I'll actively try to dump the killer on others if I've looped them all game/gens are almost done, ditch people if I suspect NOED/BW, and basically have no team loyalty...unless I'm running a heal build....then I'm the best team player/bodyblocking machine.
Sometimes you have to make different choices/switch priorities as Solo - it's something a lot of players don't even consider, judging from the forums.

I disagree, I use Scourge Hook Pain Resonance almost entirely for the regression and its regression is actually buffed now because it's 15% of 90 seconds instead of 80. Also Pop Goes the Weasel is still perfectly fine since unless you waste your kicks on low progress generators you're still getting a good 12-20 seconds of regression per kick.
Pop would be fine if its timer went back to 60.

Easy solution is just to camp people with OTR out of the game as soon as you see it.
Hook 2 essentially becomes hook 3 or a trade train.
See? No one needs to argue about skillful end game interactions or worry about free/end game kills/escapes.
Everybody gets two hooks :)
Easy counterplay in my games, at least.

It pauses all existing exhaustion timers, preventing exhaustion recovery while working on generators.

Dredge is a bit nuanced and has some mid-hard counterplay options against both aspects of his power.
Keep playing and focus on learning the optimal uses of his mechanics...Anecdotally, I don't care if 20 people in a row escape if I'm learning a killer...Without a training mode, sometimes I have to force certain interactions/throw to see how they work in-game.

You can still get some information from the perk if you use it with Dead Man's Switch. I know people do that now but with them combined you'll still know where people are because it'll be blocked. You may not know how many people but you do know people are there which is still gonna be very good in my opinion.
You can stay on the gen and M1 - Killer has no idea what gen it is.
15% without having to move is still pretty nice, though.

Fair, but BT and OTR need to be disabled in the end game just like DS. Killer options are far more limited in that time.
People will just camp survivors out/force more trades at Stage 2 if these become meta, as there is no other way to disable them aside from removing the player.
-
@FrostyEyesSusie said:
I believe the nerfs to killers are absolutely awful. The meta changes to killer perks have been nothing but unmitigated nerfs while our perks have been all-around buffed. NOED and Ruin in particularly, which were already pretty crappy perks due to being hexes and therefore liable to be cleansed within the first 20 seconds, have been completely gutted.
It really makes me fear that our queues will become longer and longer as less and less people simply give up playing killer altogether. In the meantime our role, which was already unchallenging as it was, has just become completely dumbed down.
I it think I can safely say I speak for the majority of survivor mains here when I say really hope BHVR wakes up and buff those killer perks before PTB is done.
I think the only really crazy one is PGTW, but I'm willing to give it a whirl....Ruin is bad, but still easy to get value from (ironically, you'll get the most value out of slugging instead of killing).
I'm actually pleased with the Corrupt Intervention change, as it usually lead to either boring (immersed) starts or total wipes right off the bat, depending on the killer used/spawns.

It's one of those scenarios where there really isn't a great solution to it, I can understand though why it frustrates people, but I honestly don't know how to make this perk or perks like myc less powerful on Nurse as she is so mobile. Similar to how myc is a monster on hag, it's just some killers are better at utilizing perks than others. I can understand why people want to treat her blink attacks as special attacks similar to how blight another highly mobile killer's power doesn't cause exposed survivors to go down.
No problem, hope it wasn't too confusing to read through and I am happy to help, it's nice to actually discuss with people instead of everything being an arguing fest all the time for once honestly lol.
For sure - I have no issue saying certain things are difficult to counter/use/whatever.
Us vs Them attitudes are generally preceded/followed by juvenile posts so try not to give them much thought/have 'fun' with the content being presented :P

Also, I forgot to answer your first question, yes it is a misplay, but some people don't like it because say a Nurse with range addons can just teleport over to you as you are running to avoid the map like if they get caught in an open area while exposed they feel it's unfair to be able to be caught in such a scenario in the first place. Typically starstruck Nurse works best against overconfident survivors and it's the reason why it's one of the best Nurse perks, because if there are many teammates nearby Nurse can go and slug them all.
Yeah, always seemed like a misplay in my eyes - nice to have feedback on it.
Appreciate the reply - I was genuinely curious!

@Mewishis said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3025539#Comment_3025539
Well if her blink attacks were special attacks the exposed effect wouldn't work if she blink attacks them, she would have to walk over or body blocks them, then hits them which I don't know how or why any survivor would manage to get themselves downed by a walking Nurse or body blocked by a Nurse unless they make a serious mistake like jumping through a window at a fatigued Nurse while exposed.
(Also I don't want them to nerf any aura perks for Nurse, because those are my favorite, but don't tell anyone lol.)
Also if blink attacks were special attacks myc exposed wouldn't down the survivor as well if she blinks attacks think like pyramid heads like ranged attack kind of attack, it doesn't down exposed survivors.
I feel like people would just gravitate towards equally unfun stuff (w/o M1 requirement) and camp more if this change was implemented.
I definitely get/understand the sentiment behind it, but people would just switch to the next most oppressive option and/or scummier tactics.
-
No worries!
I do that stuff all the time when discussing perks - It's definitely an easy mistake, especially on the weekend :P
-
@Mewishis said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3025518#Comment_3025518
I do agree however that the blink attack should be counted as special attacks so she isn't so good with perks like starstruck, sure it sucks and starstruck will definitely lose quite a bit of usage, but basic attack cooldown decreasing perks already don't work on Nurse, so I am fine if they do that.
Plus then people will stop spamming the forum a little, at least until they get mad again and bring out the pitchforks. Like I am just exhausted with how people are at times, specifically the forums are a very toxic place I don't even know how you guys manage it.
Doesn't StarStruck only activate while carrying a survivor and someone enters her terror radius?
I may be missing some of its practical usage or something, but after seeing it happen 1x, I usually avoid the area that she's in.
It just seems like a huge misplay to be nuked by it multiple times in a match, even at a medium skill level (I'd consider myself low-medium to medium in the grand scheme of things).
Again, I could be missing something, but it's way less oppressive (imo) than, say, MYC and Floods of Rage, as this guarantees cycling hook states through survivors, easy downs, etc.
-
@Mewishis said:
Yeah, it's honestly the worst I don't even bother discussing it people don't want to hear what doesn't align with their personal opinion and are quick to pretend like they aren't really the same. Whenever you discuss high-level swf teams guess what you guessed it they bring up top-level nurse players and how they can beat those teams, but the hilarious thing is they can't. Other killers do better against such teams ironically, but people don't want to hear it suddenly because competitive teams aren't all survivors, and I'm just confused as to why they even bothered bringing up god-like nurses in the first place.
Just the Circle of Life....er perpetuation of the Us vs Them mentality.
If her pick/killrates skyrocket with the new system changes, they'll readjust her and/or her problematic add-ons.
You are correct, imo, in stating that both god-tier Nurses and god-tier SWF are not as big of a deal/issue as they are made out to be.
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
That some players are so quick to point out how the game should be “balanced” around high level players, even though statistically the majority of players aren’t.
Yet, when the conversation switches to balancing Nurse because of how oppressive she is, especially when you begin to stack perk effects….suddenly they have a surprise pikachu face, because suddenly she shouldn’t be “balanced” because her killrates are low.
The hypocrisy on here is truly outstanding.
Of course it is, Johnny - of course it is.

Current BT lasts 12 seconds, and you run at 4 m/s. 48 meters.
New BT lasts 15 seconds, and you run at 4.07 m/s. 61 meters. That's 27% more distance.
Old BT when you get hit gives you 6 m/s for 2 seconds and 4 m/s for 1 second while the killer is blade wiping. That's 16 meters.
New BT when you get hit gives you either 6.28 or 6.42 m/s (depends on how the stacking works) for 1.8 seconds and 4.07 m/s for .9 seconds while the killer is blade wiping. Even in the more favorable case of 6.42 m/s that is 15.219 meters. Less distance than a successful BT hit before. Although depending on how early that hit is you may hold on to the 7% speed boost for some time after the hit which could be valuable to you.
It's 7% of 4.0 - Your math is off.
Edited to clarify further - 4.00 * 1.07 = 4.28 m/s

I'm sure the devs will adjust the timer depending on how the perk performs on the PTB or after the change goes live.
I'm imagining the stun was also decreased with the new distance gains from innate BT and actual BT in mind.
-
Can't say I'm excited or happy about anything without trying it first.
The only thing I know I'm 100% going to be on board with is the Corrupt Intervention change.
-
Mini BT gives you 5x7 = 35% more distance/opportunity if killer wants to wait it out. If they swing you get 1.8*50 = 90% on top of that. That's 125% more distance.
BT theory:
7×15 = 105% more distance or over twice as far as you could previously go at vanilla speeds if killer wants to wait it out
Assuming you get hit/attempted to get tunneled out:
105% + (1.8 * 50) = 195%
Total possible distance gain compared to old BT is almost tripled.

It can't really be both, can it?
Most of the community is well aware it is one of the best perks in the game, hence its pick rate in both official stats and every single aggregate site.
It's fairly easy to tell who is being sincere and who is being disingenuous/contrarian in their posting.

@Icaurs said:
Because the devs have taken away everything skilful for survivors in order to protect killer ego.
Everything left is so hard and so easy to counter its rarely bothered with. Maps are too small, tiles can no longer be chained after the first chase. It's more effective to pick a direction and run. Sabo is too hard as there are too many hooks. Flashlights got nerfed and stealth is still not an option.
The best perk combo for killer are anti gen perks and this patch changes nothing. Yet they took the worst part of dbd (the gens) and made it longer. This patch does not fix camping. 5 second bt is nothing, you will still need bt and ds got nerfed because of killer's crying. Camping got a massive buff and this does not fix bubba at all.
Eh, not gonna bother.
