Holy #########, very good job BHVR! Super good operation health!
Have you seen the PTB patch notes! Holy #########, there are a looooooooot of bug fixes, very good job!
They finally fixed the Hag's traps trigger range add-ons! And a lot of other bugged add-ons! Super Pog BHVR!
This not even mentioning the content, which is probably THE BEST PATCH EVER RELEASED, after the McLean patch.
And you know who designed and planned all this? Almo, with the team. Yes, there are still problems with camping, but it's still a massive improvement for Dbd! So please, show some damn respect.
Super EXECELLENT patch, almost nothing to say, great job devs!
Comments
It's great but there are still some perk concerns and map balance is still really bad. Hopefully they address it soon.
There are only really 2 concerns being Off the Record and Overcharge, and theyre easily fixable
Considering the size of this patch and those really being the only outliers. I agree, this patch is a huge success
Did they change those Hag add-ons? Was it just bug fixes or did they finally realize that those were useless and actually detrimental to her and reworked them?
Excellent patch?
Bro they've made killer even more unplayable than before lmfao. Get ready for body block meta where it's gonna take 15 hits to get a single down. All they've done in the PTB is make camping and tunneling even MORE necessary than before. Literally 1 step forward 2 step backward.
(Also completely killed ruin and pop)
Overcharge?????
I think that the bt basekit thing is gonna be a problem during endgame. Also why have people been saying overcharge is op? I can somewhat understand the call of brine, overcharge combo but outside of that I don't see the issue.
It only lasts 5 seconds, cant really bodyblock for a teammate with that. its purely meant for the just unhooked person to get to some place safe
As for Overcharge, 30 seconds really isnt that long in the grand scheme of things, the rate at which a gen loses progression is absurd and hurts mainly solo q. The rate at which it slows down gens would make it even a good pick on live, and as a reminder this patch is meant to eliminate a dominant meta.
All it needs is for its numbers to be toned down a bit, and it would be perfect
Tell us you are a killer main without telling us you are a killer main.
Tell us you don't understand the game, without telling me you don't understand the game.
Do you know how garbage a body block meta is??? Like think about it. M1 killers? officially dead (if these changes go live btw). Tunneling and camping will literally happen more to avoid getting body blocked like 2-3 times by one person with OTR / DH / Styptic / MoM. These changes make killer even WORSE to play than it is now, and tunneling and camping will become even MORE mandatory.
There's no sense of understanding of what's wrong with the killer role with these changes.
I'm fine with them changing Off the Record if they change Overcharge.
What is wrong with overcharge? That's what I don't get lmfao. It's average asf.
It will literally NEVER get 400% value because the killer would have to camp that gen and waste all of his time, meanwhile they are simply doing another gen. It's pointless. It'll MAYBE hit 200% but it doesn't take long for a survivor to touch a gen after a killer has kicked it and left.
Overcharge + Call of Brine. Call of Brine has the added benefit of telling you when survivors are on the gen you kicked.
Only when a skill check happens.
Again... once they've got to the gen the regression has already stopped. So are you telling me that 300% from overcharge + brine, and just keep kicking it over and over again and going back everytime you hear the skill check being hit? Because I promise you a SINGLE survivor is 400% speed while overcharge + brine is only 300%. You're literally losing time doing that.
Pretty sure both will be nuked compared to what they are in the PTB.
Overcharge makes certain 3 gens v v v hard.
Call of Brine is not skill-check based. Overcharge is. Call of Brine gives you a loud noise notification that they're working on the gen. Usually takes being pushed off 3 times for survivors to work a different gen.
"Also completely killed ruin and pop"
average killer main discovers what a meta shakeup is.
Also Pop wasn't even nerfed it's neutral change. They increased the amount of regression you get as soon as you kick a gen.
Regardless, Ruin and Pop were meta. The devs went through the most used perks and nerfed them. (Even if they were trash, looking at Self-Care.)
They're not useless, that's false.
Ooof, here we go again, survivor mains vs killer main.
What are these insults.
Meta shakeup wasn't necessary, other perks just needed to be worth using. Ruin needed a buff if anything and pop was fine. Completely killing perks just for the sake of changing what people use is the most idiotic thing, ESPECIALLY when the hardest meta perks for survivors barely got scraped. DH is still fine and BT literally became basekit and the perk itself got literally BUFFED.
2.5% base kit kicking a gen btw is LITERALLY nothing. That's like 2.25 seconds off of a gen. Kicking the gen itself nearly takes that amount of time to do anyway. Pop is not just a neutral change because now it's completely useless against any change that isn't 99%.
Average survivor main fails to understand how the game functions.
5 sec is definitely enough time to get someone else to bodyblock for you.
For Overcharge, Toned down as in the regression or the speed it takes to get to top regression? Cause I heavily disagree with the toned down regression. I personally think it should take a bit longer. Not doubled the time but maybe like 45 secs.
No, they are. The most common counterplay to Hag is activate her traps on the edge of their range so she can't insta teleport and hit you. These add-ons make it easier to do that.
The only usage there is to this is to get on chases faster, but Hag doesn't go for normal chases since she is 110% so the trade is not worth it.
Call of Brine gives a loud noise notification when i a survivor hits a good skill check. Youre thinking of surveillance
They help a lot in those maps where you NEED to trap in the open and in map borders to prevent shift W, and those add-ons will help. We'll see after they are finally fixed.
Camping is not a problem for survivors who have a bit of experience, only the saltiest whine
Without resorting to any us vs. them, I think making it mandatory to spend 50k bloodpoints to reset the blood webs back to the tiny ones is a bad thing because it makes add-on/item/offering acquisition much harder. The grind for those things has been made worse, as far as I can tell.
Hand-wringing aside, I am genuinely excited for this patch for the basekit killer improvements alone. I've got a soft spot for a number of M1 killers that I have previously been super reluctant to play that I've 180'd on thanks to the speedup for dealing with palettes, and while I'll miss the bp bonus from BBQ it also opens up space in my meme builds for more meme and less build.
