nothing as a solo q survivor main.
-
Hes too powerful right now, ive noticed that theres just not enough time between his saw rushes after you successfully dodge one to make enough distance. He needs a slightly longer cooldown after missing to make him fair imo.
-
I actually did the same thing but i tracked data over roughly 2 weeks of play.
Wesker- 16.
Billy- 13.
Chucky- 11.
Blight- 9.
Nurse- 9.
Pyramid Head- 4.
Hag- 2.
Singularity- 2.
I solo q so majority of matches were 4k's with the occasional hatch.
-
No, I'm not having fun as survivor in this current meta, they've been releasing super oppressive anti-loop killers that barely have counterplay outside of "I hope the killer misses".
-
i usually die go next on Alien, i hate the new trend of killers that are basically "Damned if you dont, damned if you do" in chase. Chucky and Xeno are both the showrunners with this playstyle. So to answer your question, absolutely not, xeno is miserable to play against.
-
yes, they have been killing survivor rapidly each new update, you new here?
-
why do they tunnel p100s?
-
The loops are generally unsafe, and unorthodox. Both Yamaoka maps are really iffy on the survivor side in my opinion, and its mostly due to how bad the loops are lol.

How frequently would you say that happens and what do you think might be the reason some killers target P100 survivors in particular?
8 out of 10 games.
-
i get tunneled for having p100, i wish they'd hide it from killers.
-
anyone but Nurse, Singularity, Pinhead, Artist.

Nope.
The only one anyone's even challenged me on is Illumination, the others are just flat out good perks. Not necessarily super strong, but more than useably good.

See, the problem is that the perks you're talking about aren't bad. (Mostly.)
Ellen got Light-Footed, a really strong stealth/chase perk, as well as the reasonably strong and fun to use Chemical Trap. Even Lucky Star, which is a little under-tuned, still does something useful and worthwhile.
Gabriel got the ultra strong MFT, sure, but he also got the strong and useful Troubleshooter. Scavenger less so, sure, but two out of three ain't bad.
Alan Wake launched with one super strong perk, Champion of Light, and then his other two perks are reasonably useful but less strong.
The fact of the matter is that survivors have all released with at least one (but normally two) good strong perks, the content survivors are getting lately is not abysmal. This is a community perception issue, not a game design issue.
you are trolling, LOL

Sooooo.....
All 3 over Blight and Nurse? How many Xenos do you see? I'm genuinely curious?
What changes would you propose for Skull merchant and Xeno?
Blight and Nurse are also problematic don't get me wrong, but Xeno is actually more miserable to play against in my opinion. Id say i play against probably 2-3 Aliens per session and the rest are Blight, Chucky, Wesker. I would rather play against blights all day then play against Chucky or Xeno EVER. Their kits are just extremely annoying, and i typically just die go next after about 2 or 3 in.
Skull merchant is just a killer they should completely rework from the ground up or just delete her altogether idc.

I have to wonder if people aren’t blinded by a hate boner, cause this trend was a thing from the very moment she got her first ‘rework’.
Did people even try to learn how she works? I’m getting the impression very few people cared to. Which is unfair regardless.
I know how to play against her..... doesn't make her any less miserable to play against.

Who could've seen this coming.....
ALSO, LMAO, 39% ER is still accurate.
SWF only matters at high MMR, even Solo in high MMR is bad and the ER for 4-mans is still sub-50. The horrible awful so OP high mmr swf's aren't even escaping HALF the time
Also shows that SWF really doesn't matter unless it's all four.
Continue preaching the truth my friend regardless of all the hate replies you get. I've seen you in most threads and we agree on most things. People refuse to see that survivors are literally down in the dumps right now and they actually still think survivors need further nerfs even after these stats. Survivors NEED help, we NEED something because right now escaping is extremely rare. The only way i escape as a solo q survivor is if the killer is bad.
Even when i duo/trio queue our escape rate is slim to none. This meta has become extremely stale, having to do 7-8 generators per match only to still lose. Perks that are considered solid on the survivor side are reduced to trash the second someone finds any actual viability in it causing new survivor perks to become meme perks. Don't even get me started on every new killer BHVR has released lately has been Anti-Loop, Damned if you do, Damned if you don't killers inside chase. Looping is what makes this game fun to me and many others, and killers like Alien & Chucky just kill that for me, you can hardly counter their abilities in chase.
These are some huge issues i have as a solo/duo survivor not in any specific order of importance.
-Prestige 100 tunneling (Please hide survivor prestige's from killers).
-Generator slowdown perks making us have to do 7-8 generators per match (very low chance to even get that far).
-Regular proxy camping, tunneling (You all know what i mean).
Problem killers that in my opinion need looked at for having unhealthy aspects/playstyles.
-Skull Merchant (You know why).
-Alien (Damned if you do, Damned if you don't, just feels unhealthy for the game similar to Nurse).
-Chucky (Just reduce hit charge hitbox and further reduce the flick radius).
These are some survivor perks that i believe need some further changes by BHVR.
-Iron Will (Remove the exhaustion aspect).
-Spine Chill (As of right now, its literally garbage and i feel like they need to make it do ANYTHING else).
-Decisive Strike (Bring back 5 second stun).
-Self-Care (just something else, people who use it right now are hurting the team and themselves).
I am going to end it here, and keep in mind these are obviously just my personal opinions and i know some of you will disagree but oh well. These are legit issues with the game currently and there's nothing any of you can say to make me believe otherwise.
-
id love vault speed perks personally, killers can have good perks so why cant survivors?

If you quit the game then why are you still here? Its like going to a baby shower just to tell everyone how much you hate kids
because i can? lol i never said i quit permanently. i can still chat and hope that they actually balance the game and weaken killers a little.
-
@Nebula said:
Balanced doesn't always equate to fun. The game might be the most balanced it's been in a long time (possibly ever), but it seems that most people agree that it's not in a very enjoyable state, especially for solo queue players.
Map design is the biggest issue in the game IMO, simply due to either the plethora of resources or the exact opposite. Some maps literally spawn with like 9 pallets and half of them are super unsafe, some spawn with 20 and over half of them are super safe. It puts you in a position as a player where you almost know the result of the game before it even starts, sometimes you just have to accept that you lost from the get-go and that's a terrible feeling as a player.
Add on top of this that a lot of killer releases have been following the trend of heavy anti-loop tactics, often putting survivors in positions of "damned if you do, damned if you don't". Losing a sense of agency that a player has over the game and allows for very little skill expression as a survivor.
The new released killers is why i quit the game.
-
@ImWinston said:
Taking Steam data, the player base continues to decline. I know Steam doesn't count consoles and I'm not saying dbd is dying. But why?
The game is much more balanced now than 2-3 years ago, killers are very solid and viable (except for a few), there are many balanced maps (except for a few), many "broken" strategies no longer exist...
In theory the player base should increase and not decrease.
Some people will now say "there are no new game modes"... "lights out" had literally no effect on player numbers.
your opinions?
the game is killer sided to the point where playing survivor is a miserable slog.
-
the new mode is killer sided, if you lose its a skill issue.
-
You aren't wrong, i played 5 matches today and got sweaty blights and billys using this build. I was playing solo q so you can already guess i didn't escape at all in any of the matches. Every game we were wiped out at 3-4 gens lol. This game has literally become a chore to play, i couldn't be asked to log back in until this crap is fixed.
-
good joke.
-
Copium at its finest, the perk is STILL trash.
-
meh
-
slightly overbuffed tbh.

Sadako is awful...
No feedback was implemented.
this is a thread about how stupid busted blight is, sadako they already said shes getting changed again.

@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Why Adrenaline is here?
This perk is only works at end game and only for once.
And you need to finish gens or you need to stay alive as last survivor.
This perk does not need any nerf. Only change it needs is that: It should not make you wake up against Freddy.
Seriously why this perk is here?
Are we going to nerf NOED, NWO, Blood Warden next?
noed needs gutted tbh

@Zeidoktor said:
You know, in all the discussion of the GE/DMS combo, I legitimately forgot Grim Embrace has the hook distance requirement. Just knowing that makes the combo a lot less intimidating.
imagine thinking that simply walking 4 seconds away is a chore and makes the unhealthy perk combo totally fair and justified lol.
-
nope
-
blight is STILL OP even after these "nerfs".
-
@Hex_Ignored said:
Deadline is absolutely atrocious. The perk basically has no beneficial effect by itself and only exists to "buff" perks like autodidact and hyper focus. It absolutely needs to do something beneficial on its own because halving missed skill check penalty is not it.
Illumination is equally terrible. Seeking out a boon and spending time to bless it only to see chests and generators is tantamount to throwing the game. If it actually revealed more auras, like teammates and totems, it might be worthwhile in soloq.
it buffs killers lol
-
Every one of his perks are super underwhelming......... please buff them somehow.
-
this literally should NEVER be a thing, the fact that it is proves that the game is absolutely killer sided.
-
agreed.
-
this
-
They are ruining the game trying to "balance" the game. Everything they touch gets ruined, literally every perk they touch. The game is just not very fun anymore as survivor specifically because you have to literally sweat every single game just to get 1 gen done in this current meta. This is MY personal reasoning as to why I've reduced my playtime significantly, i play strictly solo q as well. The devs are trying to make this a competitive game but they don't realize that everything they do makes the game LESS fun, if you just go in and nerf everything that's fun its going to cause people to quit playing.
And don't get me started on the new killers they've been adding, CHUCKY, ALIEN. These killers have barely any counterplay, they are literally just damned if you do, damned if you don't killers in chase. Want to vault the pallet? get smacked, want to vault the window? get smacked, want to fake the window vault? even if successful you get smacked due to having to reposition. These new killers just have far too much utility in their kits to make them "balanced" and it makes the game severely killer sided and UNFUN for survivors.
This is all.
-
spine chill needs a buff for sure, i havent seen someone use spine chill since like a few days after it got the shaft.
-
fun killers.
-
nah his perks are trash tier.
-
nah, i also just die on first hook and go next. nurse games are so boring as survivor.
-

Coming from someone who just parrots what dbd youtubers say and has never formed an opinion of their own I have to laugh
my opinion of skull merchant is my own..... lol so what you just assumed of me is false. seems you are just salty that nobody likes to play against your main.

They would need to refund me every dollar I've spent and the base game as well cause I'd never touch this game again lol
If you are actually this downbad to actually quit dbd over the most boring/annoying killer in the game, then thats sad.
-
delete her from the game entirely and refund everyone who bought her.

@humanbeing1704 said:
Old vegetation would make chucky extremely hard to play against lol
already is in most aspects, tracking, hitboxes etc.
-
His ability hitbox needs reduced, and his ability is very hard to dodge as a survivor. Also his footsteps need to update faster than they do in chase, they dont update fast enough currently and seem delayed making him very hard to track in chase.
