It's the same reason why hits look so weird, apparently. The hitbox doesn't adjust it's position, like, ever (only it's height when you're, say, crouching or repairing a gen).

The red pill obviously shows the hitbox. Regardless of action it stays there, so you need to aim for that section. Swinging at the head of the survivor would do nothing bevause the hitbox isn't there.

Soon, you won't have to worry about prestiging them! It'll come naturally! No more lost items!
On the PTB, all of mine were bumped to P3's, minimum....Except Blight....so I dumped a few more levels into him @_@

I hardly see any Twins or Deathslinger....they're almost 'Freddy' tier in terms of frequency in my games.

- I don't know why you think this is relevant. Difficulty doesn't justify being overpowered, but she isn't overpowered in the first place. Also just because a content creator said something doesn't mean they're right lol.
- I already think range and three blink add-ons are busted. Basically no one is justifying omegablink either. Range needs a change.
- A player with literally thousands of hours and actually quite good at the game is far beyond what the average DBD player is already. There is a difference between someone like that and an actual beginner picking up the same killer. The former already knows enough of the game to work with fundamental knowledge. The latter does not.
- Nurse's skill ceiling is proportionate to the survivors' skill at facing Nurse, because as survivors get better at mindgaming Nurse, the Nurse also has to get better at mindgaming them back. And so on, into super high levels of play. Mindgaming is the ceiling, not the blinking itself. You could master blinking to a specific location accurately relatively fast. But making sure said specific location is the one to get the hit on the survivor is what's going to take time to get a grasp of, especially against survivors who are very good at facing a Nurse. You could practice nailing perfect aim Huntress shots at a window or pallet or across the map, but just because you know how to aim where to send it doesn't mean that's where the survivor will be. Where you'll have to blink changes throughout the match on the fly because of said mindgaming.
- A good player will win the majority of their games regardless of their picks because they will just outright be better than what MMR matches them against on average. This is why good players win almost every game regardless of survivor build or killer.
- Hillbilly is difficult because he is just straight up clunky and underwhelming, and doesn't give out the same effort you have to put in. Also the ability is auto-screwed on some tiles/maps regardless of skill just off of sheer tile/map RNG. As in, his ability is difficult because it demands way more effort than you're going to get rewarded for. That is not a good thing lmao.
Dunno why you're consistently wasting your keystrokes on someone that is obviously posting in bad faith in literally every topic they post in.

My first thought after reading that. I was like what?
He had to dc because he was dying fast, how does that make sense?
It's part of the 4 step program.
Step 1 - Abandon game because it's not going your way.
Step 2 - Make a forum thread publicly stating this.
Step 3 - Abandon said thread because it's not going your way.
Step 4 - Legend.
-
TC has moved on folks...
DC'ed if you will >_>
-
I usually do this with Wraith during Tome Challenges.
Wraith is best killer to do tome challenges with....especially Glyph ones.
As a bonus, any other 'hard' challenges like 'hook 2 within 60s' are easily doable because you've tanked your mmr into the negatives on him.

Dc penalty is there so survivors don't do that every match while killer outplays them. While dc penalty was off I had matches survivors just dc:t if I got control of the match and got hooks quickly so it needs to be there also it's bot either fun when killer dc:s when he got outplayed. Personally if toxic killer would tunnel me I would probably dc as well and I understans why you do it. Toxic killers don't deserve kills that's why I dc.
You taking a time out in the crib will certainly show those toxic killers, as they chuckle at their 'double win.'

I agree and in this case, it's possible the Killer was farming with the Survivor because in both cases, the Killer ignored the dude unhooking me but kept hitting me. DCing was more about not letting the Killer have the final hook.
The killer can hit whoever they want.
Most killers, especially as MMR increases, would make the same play / take advantage of a garbage unhook.
At least you're being honest, now, and admitting to the real reason (lol/petty) that you DC'ed.
It's the first step in changing such a poor mindset.

You and I are going to agree to disagree at this point. Context matters. Some matches just suck from the get-go. DCing mid-match is one thing. DCing because the match has barely gone on for two minutes and you somehow had the luck to be in situations like this are entirely different.
You can agree to disagree, but the DC Penalty doesn't care about context.
You can reach all you want, but you dc'ed, and no amount of circular reasoning can change the facts.
-
Dying on the hook in like 27s after yeeting and failing skill checks? Nah.
DC'ing 2 games in a row and coming to the forums to complain about the DC Penalty working as intended? Awwww yeeee :3

Are you also eu? Do you notice any difference?
For me it was really evident since I first payed attention to it. And since then I either play surv during the day or after midnight.
Killer on the other hand is a lot more chill in early evening and rough during the day.
I seem to get bounced between NA East and UK, in terms of servers.
I'm basically in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
-
@Phantom_ said:
Honestly switch to killer for this one. It's a waste of time otherwise unless your SWF-ing.
Yeah - Agree.
Tried to do it as Survivor....
1st Iri didn't even register (bug) and it took a few games to get a second.
Switched to Legion after and did it 2 games in a row :)

Nah. But after trying to play solo at times I avoid (early evening) I noticed that my experience was actually worse than playing after midnight.
That is why I always mention this as something people should try more if they can.
@Phantom_ said:
I got reminded once again how time-related these types of games are. And the days after the event were just a nightmare. But now it's chill.
I usually play a bit after work 'my time' (4pm) and maybe some between 10pm-1am depending on what other stuff I have on the go.
I think I get 'server bounced' a lot due to my weird geographical location, though.
-
@Mister_xD said:
Because it's addicting.
Even though I'm not having fun, there will always be this one game where I was actually enjoying my time and then somehow my head uses that as a justification for the next 20...
Just to clarify "not having fun" doesn't mean dread every second that I expose myself to the game. 90% of the time I'm just bored, I've given up on this game ever being in a good spot, balance wise, so I've mostly stopped caring.
7337 posts!
Also, I just think of it as a spooky timewaster with my monster pals at this point.
Can't say if the mindset helps, but I definitely have a better time/do better than some of the posters I've seen with regards to their own experiences.

Would you say your escape rate is at least around 30-50%?
If not I would like to play some games with you (no comms) if you are eu. Just to see if we get teammates who do nothing all the time or killers who camp and tunnel every game. But I would like big enough sample to say for sure.
Until I see it with my own eyes I can't really aknowledge it. You are most likely much better surv than me but I think problem lies elsewhere.
Did you play after and figure out/patch any holes you saw?

I've been having this EXACT issue. I don't know how to check people's hours, but I feel like I get one team mate who is on par with me skill wise, and then a couple newer players who are just crouching and hiding. Usually I get matched with people who are either slightly better, around the same as me, or slightly less experienced. And that's totally fine. But I'm noticing a massive discrepancy probably over the last week it's been noticeable.
It's hard/impossible to check people's hours unless they have a public profile on Steam, afaik
-
@Eredestra said:
Crazy that your games are good :O
Why I just had a game last night where I played as a Survivor and because I dropped the pallet on a Killer and stunned him, he went to camp my hook until I died and even smacked my body!
Or when I played Killer not too long ago as Trapper, end game lobby 2 Survivors talk smack to me saying "Get looped idiot lol ggez"
I guess you either just accept what ever happens to you in every game and all you do is just shrug it off and go next game patting yourself on the back saying it is what it is.
Or you are extremely lucky and only get the most chill Killers and Survivors in the entire server.
I definitely don't get tilted.
I have bad games or strings of games, but that happens in any pvp game with a team setting.
The only time a string of losses upsets me is in a fighting game, as that usually means I'm missing something in a matchup and I'm the only person responsible for the outcome.

While I agree this forum is probably still killer sided a bit, how did you manage to make this us vs them I wonder.
Opinion that solo q is bad is popular one. And how everyone except the one talking about it is bad is a also a popular and supported mindset. Even in this thread. Look how many people will support and upvote solo q bad posts, not to mention others.
In my first post in this thread I also mentioned killers that complain about not getting kills every match. And I also have 9 devotion on my surv account and only 3 on killer. Guess I am a killer main too.
People disagreeing with you doesn't make them a killer main. I think both sides exaggerate their experience because they are prone to tantrums and emotional outbursts. Most of the community also likes to blame everything on anyone else without self reflection like I said.
Plenty of people like that even outside gaming.
Yeah - There's a lot of victim complexes and negative emotions on the forums for sure.
Strange to see such clarity from....A FILTHY KILLER MAIN!!!! /s
I appreciate the sincere attempts you're making in your replies.

“So thats all, a lot of mediocre players crying because they doesnt want how to loop and complain for everything that bothers them. If you don't want to get tunnel, Learn to loop, potatos.” I don’t blame him for tunneling but you said if you don’t want to get tunneled learn how to loop. I do agree with that if you mean don’t be a weak link but let’s face it. If you loop a bubba for 3 or 4 gens they are gonna camp and tunnel you out of the game. Now how are you a potato for that?
If I run a Bubba for 2-3 gens, my next priority (assuming I can't shake 'em) is dumping him on a teammate so I can get something other than chaser points/not be the person that is camped out of the game.
In solo, of course.
-
Give him some sort of speed boost for each survivor in the dream world and/or give him instadowns if all 4 survivors are asleep for over a minute (have a red version of the golden/sleep timer once all 4 are asleep)
This actually gives people a reason to leave/fear the dream world.

Yes lol. If we exclude the spin offs it is my favorite already compared to 1, 2 and 3.
I didn't expect it to be this good honestly. Gameplay is deeper now with some new stuff and there are also more characters with unique playstyles you can play as on certain levels.

Take everything in game as a personal attack.
Have a rigid set of arbitrary rules that apply to everyone but you and get really angry when others don't comply.
Always expect to get everything you want and that everything you want will work all the time, if it doesn't this is another form of personal attack.
Be sure to feed your ego you want it as big and strong as possible.
Surround yourself with others who'll also feed your ego and feed off each other's ego, its the core of a good obnoxious SWF.

Remember you are the victim and hero rolled into one... act accordingly.
There is nothing in game that can't be blamed on opponent's exploiting broken mechanics, make sure they know what they are doing and how they should feel about it.
