It's because BHVR wants "new" players to play their game and (Bad Word) on "hard" Killers
It was why Ruin got nerfed... Not because it was used in __% of matches
It was why Hillbilly got his nerf.... Not because he was played in __% of matches
It's why the Nurse's bugs are still present... Not because she "4k'd" in __% of matches
It's also why certain Perks were changed -Small Game- -Saboteur- -DS- (need I say anymore)
It's also why SWF is in the game
-
Ruin used to be good... But then newer Survivors didn't like being forced to hit Great Skillchecks so it got changed... But then Survivors got good at finding all of the Totem spots... so yea Hex perks are more of when not if
NOED also had something to do with Survivors finding all of the Totem spawns
Plus all of the Totem finding Perks and Boons
Also not adjusting base regression at all (Just saying)
-
Being pushed into running the "meta" seems to be a bad thing- At least in my opinion
I don't want to run the "meta" but that's a personal choice
The Survivors have more choice in what perks they run but Killer doesn't- Again in my opinion
And that's a reason why so many Killer players are leaving- Again in my opinion
-
A health Chapter would be #1... Just an update to Perks, Items, Addons and offerings... Maybe a new Bloodweb format (I have a lot more ideas for this kind of update)
But maybe a second SAW chapter... But that's just me being a SAW fan
A Tomb Raider chapter would be good (But would most likely be a paragraph)
-
Honestly I wished for Killers actually being separate (in terms of MMR) like the Devs said
Like (take me for example... and with a grain of salt) I play a pretty good Pig so I should go against other players whom have above average escape rates against the Pig (right???)... But then why do I face above average survivors no matter whom I play as??????
But that isn't what we got
There should be more involved in SBMMR rather then Kills V Escapes
Gen Times, Hook States, Chase Times... Perk Usage (like real perk usage... not I brought X perk but don't care how it's used)
And we'd see a bigger difference within our own games
-
Pig.... My main the one I have almost all perks on
It's still stressful to play as but I find that I have way more fun (at times) playing the Pig rather then any other Killer
-
Luck must've been on your side
Good for you
-
Killer: NOED... Cause I just don't feel the need
Survivor: Hope... Cause I don't make it to endgame all that much
-
Or you could say that Killers have gotten greedy... Just a thought
-
5 or less if I'm not feeling like playing
5 or more if I really want to get a daily done
-
Stuttering and Maps
Stuttering: Cause I play on Console (Xbox) I face off against Stuttering after big events... Like a hook rescue, Me getting the first hit, A Gen getting done
Maps: I honestly wish the Devs would design the maps instead of letting an algorithm do it for them
-
LOL.... Thanks

It doesn't work like that unfortunately because meta stands for Most Effective Tactic Available
And for me that is the Most Effective Tactic Available
So that is my "meta"
-
I made my own "meta"... Corrupt and Whispers on Killers
BT, Kindred and Leader for Survivors
-
The % of slowdown is laughable per hook
And by the time you get "decent" slowdown is when there's 1-2 Gens left or all gens are done... or you've already "won" the match
-
Spirit: White hair, Red School girl outfit and either the Purple or bloody sword
-
I don't play Bubba for certain reasons
All I can say is he's fine... right now

Thank you both for your input on the discussion. But I think I'm done debating so I'm just going to have this closed.
Have a nice day and good games :)
Will do... and same to you

I do believe that my Killer side would win
I make to many mistakes playing Survivor
-
In a vacuum... There are plenty of issues with this game
In a vacuum Gen speeds are insane... all 4 survivors bringing Prove Thyself and Brand New Parts on good toolboxes along other things that improve Gen Speeds
In a vacuum Camping and Tunneling are insane... The Killer bringing things to help out on that front
But that's the thing it's all in a vacuum.. which is why they are strong cause the devs only test things in a vacuum... and the fact that high MMR Killers and Survivors are in a vacuum (meta slaves)
And on the other hand outside of the vacuum things are different... Gen Speeds aren't that big of an issue, Camping and Tunneling aren't that big of an issue either, But Maps are the biggest issue in the current game
Also we don't deserve to win??? Ok then I don't deserve to lose either -shrugs- (Just saying)

To be fair, I've recently come to a different conclusion on this topic.
Facecamping someone immediately, especially when you have NOED, will almost always net you at least a 2K. Survivors do not have time to do 5 gens and 5 totems in 2 minutes. Unless two gens are already done, it's very unlikely you can prevent NOED and do the gens.
Unfortunately, there is no way to punish camping that won't negatively affect players who did nothing wrong. So, it remains a necessary evil.
Fair enough
-
If the Killer is face camping then it's on you (or your teammates to realize that and do Gens and Totems... cause you know NOED)
Run Kindred for that matter... so you know if the Killer is staying around the hook
-
Killer Mains might be in the upper MMR bracket... so their matches feel different to those that don't only play Killer
Survivor Mains might be in the upper MMR bracket... and plus they can get a SWF group
To me it's more about the playstyles that are being played rather then the game itself
-

I recommend Leader and Kindred really makes Solo W better.
That's funny cause those perks are in my Survivor build
-
I don't see much difference in his playstyle (well the way I play him)
-
I have more fun playing Wraith (with a specific build) then Mickey... but that's just me
-
Congrats.... I'm still missing some
-
She's a Killer that takes a lot of planning to work
I've had some success playing her
-
Aww... jeez Thanks

Oh yea I agree I think bhvr has made a lot of terrible decisions when it comes to the pip system and sbmm and ofc I have tons of great ideas but I'm not gonna spend hours typing out all my thoughts cause I already know some forum member will just tell me I'm a butt head 😂
"you're a butthead" for telling me that my unimaginative fix is hot garbage /S
But anyway... yea that's another reason why I didn't list everything I'd do
-

No you shouldn't be punished just for stomping on the survivors just like as a Survivor you shouldn't be punished because you decided to cleanse all totems out of fear of noed
No offense but that's a terrible idea and there's there's reason that's not how it works
Yea... but that's what we're dealing with now
And that would be something BHVR would do
But if I put my mind to it I wouldn't do that... I just don't feel it necessary to list out all of the changes I'd make to Emblems
-
But as soon as something gets nerfed it'll be "poor woes Survivors"
-
For Survivors the faster the match goes the more points should be rewarded
For Killers the longer the match goes the more points should be rewarded
That's just my take on it
-
Players are getting better at doing everything because of design choices
Skillchecks- Thanks to old Ruin being a thing some Survivors got really good at hitting Greats... which was changed
Looping with antiloop Killers Survivors had to "get good" at running loops... But now they see that holding W is more efficient
Gen speeds- Killers run new Ruin with Pop... Corrupt became a thing
Survivors running loops- Mindgame (goes both ways)
-
I do agree that these "nerf this and nerf that" threads are getting annoying but on the other hand people want to talk about balance in this game
It throws me for a loop when players have to give the time they played this game to validate their opinion and their highest "grade"
Why can't people just say oh well that happened... and if they want to fix it then it's on them to do so... if not then 🤷♂️
Forums are meant to take in information and feedback but for the most part it's where players can talk and discuss things about the game
But yea let's buff some perks now... can we????
-
Cause I have no friends
And if I wanna play solo then Killer is the best way to do that

It was actually because of Spirit with Stridor being an issue.
That's true as well
But I don't want to blame a Killer for using a perk though
-
See most perks aren't used cause of what the game is
Survivors: Do Gens and leave
Killers: Down and Hook Survivors multiple times (Camping and Tunneling are bad depending on when you do it... I guess)
-
Those look good on paper but in practice it might be horrible (positive or negative)
-
Yea... cause if you do get a Hit on a Survivor they will either run to the COH spot or stay injured (more dependency on where COH is) and it takes time to do it and get healed up
-
That was due to Survivor Players complaining about Stridor
-
I have seen it... But I don't run "meta" other then BT
But What are we suppose to do... we don't know who we're facing
But I do feel a type of way about using 4 tier 3 perks against someone whom is only using one tier 1 perk
-
A little problem... But that's more of my problem
Plus if I cleanse a Totem how would the other Survivors feel
And I used to run Detective's Hunch
-
See... for me it's perks and their attempt at balancing them
I won't get into it all cause I don't want to be typing forever but... yea
I would like to see more emphasis put on Maps
-
Not to make this a whataboutism... But Whispers does the same thing
Both Spine Chill and Whispers Work for their purpose
They don't show where Killers/ Survivors Auras but tell Survivors/ Killers that they are close by
-
The replaceability of Boons and the staking of COH (with other perks and Medkits) need to be looked at... maybe give Boons stacks and make COH not stacks heal speeds (make it like Self Care... preserve Medkit charges)
The other Boons are good IMO (though I have yet to experience the Boon Unbreakable)
But then again if the Survivors want to spend time Blessing Totems then so be it

Pig and Trapper feel like they have kits specifically designed to encourage camping/tunneling.
That may be true... But I don't cause others do it (If you know what I mean)
-
I've lost so many Pig matches recently (LOL)
Probably due to Bad luck and my playstyle (Not Camping nor Tunneling)
-
It's the player behind the Killer not the Killer themselves
-
Honestly I've been running Leader and Stakeout recently and it being mildly successful does make me stop and think of what else I can do
