To me the "meta" has been the same since The Plague's release
Plus I still haven't got Pinhead nor Nemesis so I don't know if those perks would work for me
I also have been trying out different perks out... but I don't know... maybe the "meta" is up to the individual to decide
-
1 kill raises MMR
That's all to it... they didn't say how the kill happens
-
Aztec... Native American... WW2 or even WW1
-
Maps and spawns need to be addressed before anything to do with Gens themselves happen
-
Good for you...
-
See i wish for something to give a little bit
Either the game needs to know if the person DC'd on purpose or if it were accidental
Plus the Quitter Bonus should be given to the other Survivors left in the match
-
Survivors would still "gen rush" regardless of Camping or not
Camping causes "Gen rush"
"Gen rush" causes Tunneling
Tunneling causes "run straight" (seems that most Killers are "anti-loop")... Gens are still being done while this is going on
"Run straight" causes Camping (to make this work).... Gens are still being done at this point
But all in all it's just the vicious cycle we find ourselves in right now
-
Being forced to play the "meta" rather it be by the Killers played or the Builds used
I don't use DH (or any exhaustion Perks)... Cause i don't want to be Exhausted for 40+ seconds
I don't use Iron Will (Even though I have been thinking about adding it)... cause i feel better for not using that perk
I do use BT... cause it's a Team Perk (I have been thinking of replacing it with We'll Make It... But who stays around after being Unhooked)
I don't use DS... cause I know I'm going to miss that Skillcheck at some point (I have thought about adding it to my build but It's full... LOL)
I do use Kindred and Stakeout... For team knowledge and Killer Knowledge plus hitting multiple Great Skillchecks feel good
And on the Killer side...
I do use Corrupt... Cause I want a chase to start before a Gen gets done (Bad Word) it
I don't use BBQ & Chilli... Cause I know that Shadowstep is in the game (I know that there are other perks and things to Counter BBQ but That's when I stopped
I use Whispers... Cause knowing that I am close to a Survivor is worth more then looking for a Survivor that might not be there
I don't use Pop... Cause i don't like the time wasted on kicking the Gens
-
I don't mind it at all
But I don't do it as Killer

I mean I don’t know I’m just stating a theory that I hope is wrong.
Hey we all have theories... you don't want to know what mine is though... it's really stupid
But then again it's BHVR we're talking about so anything is possible

I think it's possible for being inspiried by something without being a replica. Bubba is basically a replica of Billy. I don't think Samara (or Sadako in the case of Ringu) is as cut and paste for Spirit as Billy was for Bubba if Spirit was based on The Ring.
I don't think so either but people were confused so I was basically just shrinking the comments into one simple easy to read (Hopefully) comment
-
For those whom don't understand
Hillbilly was an OG Killer... whose inspiration was Leatherface AKA Bubba
But then BHVR got the Texas Chainsaw Massacre License... and introduced Leatherface AKA Bubba
Is the same thing as Spirit being inspired by The Ring
And now BHVR might/will be introducing her (The Ring woman) as the next killer
Am I right or am I wrong @TheGannMan?
-
I hope not... that'll be (I don't know what word to put here)
They should be getting players to play Killers with every patch and every new Killer... But that's just me
-
The thing about M&A is that it doesn't increase your TR...
Think about it this way if I play a 32m TR Killer then my TR at the start of the match is 24m.... Start a chase and it goes from 24m to 32m
Anyway... on topic
Killer- Surveillance: Makes sounds of Gen repair louder by 8m, And highlights regressing Gen White and if a Survivor touches that Gen then it turns Yellow
Survivor- Leader: Makes Healing, Cleansing, Unhooking, Opening exit gates 25% faster while within 8m (give or take) of another Survivor

Overcharge and Huntress Lullaby

If you're asking how BHVR could improve the grind, there's so many ways they could do it. Remove perk tiers. Increase the number of perks per bloodweb. Remove ineffective offerings (blueprints, fog, luck, broken keys, cut coins... shrouds mostly need to be switched between killers and survivors.) Make all item purchases cheaper. Increase the amount of bloodpoints earned per match, especially on the survivor side.
If you're asking how you as a player can improve the grind... yeah, pretty much BBQ. Avoid unlocking teachables you don't want to use. And play killer, because they make more bloodpoints on the whole.
Another way for BHVR to reduce the grind is by introducing a "Blood Market"
Offer up more Perks to be bought... get rid of the Shrine
Trade things for BP and better offerings
For the player all what you've said... Unfortunately
-
It's just a viscous cycle
Killer starts game... plays 1-2 matches as fairly as possible... but the survivors Teabag and other things when the Gates are opened
Killer continues to play but starts to Camp and Tunnel
Survivor starts game... plays 1-2 matches as fairly as possible... but the match either ends with all escaping and not getting that much BP or they all die and not getting a lot of BP
Survivor continues to play but starts to try to get the Killers attention and trying to stop the Camping and Tunneling
I won't even mention endgame chat at this point (cause we all know what's said)

There isn't much to say on this....
I usually have 500,000 BP
And usually use BP offerings

TAG is just more active on the forums.
True...
I just look at titles of discussions a lot
-
Damn not even a mention
😪
-
So the reason Gens can be fast is either
1) Multiple Survivors on a Gen
2) Not missing a Skillcheck
3) Running perks like Prove Thyself
4) Bringing in Toolboxes
5) The base Gen regression is (Bad Word)
6) Gen Regression perks are (Bad Word) other then Ruin but that's a Hex
also BP gain is spread across a multitude of things
1) Gens being done- to an extent (awarded points go to the Survivors that did the Gen)
2) Unhooking Survivors
3) Healing
4) Chases/Totems
And for Killers
1) Gens not being done- For the most part
2) Survivors getting Unhooks- For the most part
3) Survivors not Healing- For the most part
4) Chases- Finding Survivors
5) Using their power
-
I mean yes and no
Yes- to limit hardcore campers
No- cause it's a perk that's hard to change (IMO)
Plus given BHVR's track record on perk changes it's hard to say
It has it's use in game and that's all
(not much else to say about it)
-
It could use some QOL changes

it's the same as asking why they created a healing totem boom, when there are a lot of healing resources, what changes is the timing of use, although I think there is a lack of creativity on their part.
Yea it is a lack of creativity
And then again this game has been out and updated for 5+ years so there should be similarities... but not like Lucky Break and Off The Record levels (back to back)
It's just not feasible to add things from other perks at this point... sad to say
But then again healing is totally different then what you are suggesting... There are plenty of healing Perks (that are activated through different means) but not a lot of stealth perks so why make all of the stealth perks do the same things?
Unless yes they do decided to merge perks
-
The effects are similar to other perks why would they do that?
-
Something like a market
Trade in things you don't want for BP
Spend BP on things you do want... namely Perks
The Shrine needs to go
-
Seems like everyone says Twins I won't...
Hillbilly
Nurse
Blight
I would've said The Artist but she's new
Oh and Deathslinger (Played against one that I can remember), Pig (Played against one maybe 2 or 3), Spirit (played against one), Trapper, Nemesis (Played against him when he first came out), Pinhead (Played against him when he first came out), Oni (haven't played against him in awhile)
It's been a while since I have seen any of those Killers... Probably cause I play to much Killer... LOL
Low skilled Survivor here... BTW
-
1) Whispers
2) Corrupt
3) Kindred
-
Anywhere from 2-8
Either I do good or I do bad
-
I don't run Ruin or Pop (If I can help it)
But I do run Corrupt (whenever I can)
-
I have played her and against her and noticed not much changed
-
It's fine... That players feels like one that would complain about anything at that point
Also seeing how you did escape your build got more scrutiny
-
It's not just newer players that have stopped playing Killer there seems to be more and more players not coming back to this game
I mean I get it though... who wants to play a game that has this level of Grind to it... being told that they're playing the game wrong by toxic players.... Dealing with players that use all 4 tier 3 perks against one tier 1 perk
-
When I play Wraith....
I use Discordance, TOTH, Whispers (I totally forgot the last perk)
I don't Unclock... I fake it (causes some survivors to jump... LOL)... I don't injure/down/hook any Survivor
So basically I take away the Survivors Altruism and a lot of Boldness
-
They should've made the Hatch Offerings secret... so there's more guessing as to what the Offering used were
But Slugging is just a mechanic in game... Just like Hiding and the EGC
The answer to Slugging is to be prepared for it (both Killer and Survivor)
Just like Camping and Tunneling... just be prepared for it to happen
-
While I do agree that the grind is terrible
What I do is to at least have 500,000 BP saved up before I do anything in the bloodwebs
I know that it won't help but it's something
-
I don't think they should be token based
They're not OP in my opinion
-
It's cause they make these perks months even years before they are released
It's the same with Killers (well their powers)
Not defending BHVR but offering an explanation
-
I tend to play Wraith
Faking unclocking... and running Discordance, TOTH, Whispers, (I totally forgot the last perk... LOL)
I don't unclock all the time... I don't injure/down/hook Survivors
I chase while in clock
So in a way... I deny boldness and altruism

eh not necessarily
although, if the devs did invest the time to change breakable walls in such a significant way, it would almost make sense to extend this mechanic to pallets.
Which may not be an issue if it took long enough, and its still taking time off from Survivors sitting on gens. Although yeah that might be painful for certain god pallets and certain maps
True
Fair enough
-
I do agree with the fact breakable walls aren't fun to deal with
But making it so Survivors can build a breakable wall would lead to Survivors saying "why not Pallets"
-
I main the Pig
She's underrated cause of her power relies on Survivors getting Gens done but her Kill rate is high
-
@ManOMaker said:
Who is it?
Why did you choose them?
How many hours d you think you have with them?
What percentile of killer do you think you are with that kller?
-Pig
-My first Killer that I played
-800 to 900 hours
-In the middle (self confidence isn't my strong suit)

MMR makes newbie survivor games even harder than high mmr Killer.
I played over 20 matches as Spirit without using power and still 4k. Everyone had 3 yellow/green perk at best.
They have no one to carry them. Everyone is a weak link. The game is balanced only at middle MMR.
Fair enough

Sure why not
-
OOF... it's hard to remember what I did for mine... I made it a long time ago (before my stroke)
I made myself both Killer and Survivor with a really messed up backstory
I can't even remember the perks I made for them (LOL)
-
All of them... except for: Pig, Hag, Huntress and Spirit
Doc and Deathslinger to a lesser degree
Mainly: Bight, Hillbilly, Nurse
