It's more of I'm the only thing to blame if things don't go the way I had planned (yea.... I'm talking from the gaming perspective)
I do like Horror and Slasher movies... but that isn't the reason I stuck with the game for 2-3 years
-
I'm not expecting anything major... but can be surprised
-
Instead of more band-aid fixes why not dive deeper into the problems.... cause it's a vicious cycle
Camping- seems to be an issue that affects the other Survivors more then the one on hook (cause the other Survivors have to do something about it but the one on the hook sees the other Survivors) and this is a reason that Gen- Rush exists... the game does make Camping less effective at the start of the match... but more effective in the late game (and end game) cause there are less (or no) Gens to patrol
Gen Rush- Seems to be an issue of Killers time (chasing, downing, Hooking Survivors and snuffing out Boons ) and that leads to Camping and Tunneling
Tunneling- Seems to be an issue of the player being Tunneled... and again that's due to Gen Rush (but there's no real Anti-Tunnel perk)
It comes down to the decisions made by the players in the match
But as to fixes... there isn't much to be done
Camping- is a decision made by the Killer at some point (and ultra Altruistic Survivors)
Gen Rush- Maybe increasing Base Gen Regression could resolve that
Tunneling- Again is a decision made by the Killer in the match
-
He isn't useless... Just needs to be played different

- Or if the survivors got 20% less duration on their speed boost when M1'd
- Or if pallet stuns and pallet kicks were 30% baseline faster
- Or if validation was enabled properly
- Or if boons could be snuffed permanently
- Or if the most useless perks got a very fast 25% buff to their intended effect
There's so much low hanging fruit to play with but we're never going to see it.
I would like to add in...
- Base Regression being .50 (instead of .25)
-
I just played a match where I was Wraith.... But I didn't Chase, Down nor Hook a single Survivor... I just stayed clocked for the entire match.... And a Survivor DC'd right at the end..... LOL
-
Then if the DC penalty isn't a thing anymore there will be players wishing for it back.... I've seen it enough
The DC penalty needs to be more specific as to the current state of the game... Being held hostage or a Bully squad
I would like to see an extra screen for feedback as to why a player DC's... so improvements can be made

I can relate to this so much. I had a Feng literally bee-line for a hook save, a David hooked on first hook, I heard the Feng breath and run so I looked around and the. I saw scratch marks. I hit and downed her, she was death hook and then complained about me hard-core camping.
I told her that I heard her breath and run and asked why they didn't wait for me to leave. She said because I was leaving so I answered, "your mistake for running when the killer is still around and why would I leave knowing a survivor is around".
Yea Survivors can't seem to catch their own mistakes
And Killer can't seem to catch theirs
It's a vicious cycle to say the least
-
Then again one side forces the other
If the Killer don't injure and hook Survivors then there's no Altruism... and if the Killer doesn't chase Survivors then there's a limit on Boldness... and vice versa... If the Survivors don't heal or unhook then again there's little Altruism... and if the Survivors don't want to be chased then there's a limit on Boldness
We all want to "win" matches so we do what we can to ensure our "win"

Baby killers always tend to wear base game default outfits.
I do cause I don't want to spend money or shards on whatever
But then again i don't cause I do have other cosmetics on characters that i do play
-
Whispers for me
I do have trouble finding Survivors so this perk helps
-
Corrupt and Pain Resonance do have a Bad RNG stigma attached to them...The spawns on maps are a lukewarm topic
I do just fine with: Oppression, Surveillance, Corrupt and Whispers on Pig... Though I did play a match with Pain Resonance, Discordance, Corrupt and Whispers and got the same outcome 3K 1E
The Gameplay around Corrupt can be a bit iffy.... All Survivors move away from the Corrupted Gen to find one that isn't or 3 Survivors move away from the Corrupted Gen and One Survivor stays around the Corrupted Gen lights a Boon Totem and starts repair on that Gen once it becomes unblocked... and that's just my experience
And I don't have all perks unlocked on all Killers so my builds are different for most of my Killers
-
Unrealistically- Recoding of the game.... Adding in a market
Realistically- New Killers and Survivors (maybe new maps)... with a few patches to make us scratch our heads
-
PC: Nurse by a long shot
Consoles: Whatever Killer doesn't need to be precise.... Myers, Pig, Wraith, Trapper, Doc, Hag... ETC
It would be funny to see those stats though
-
Less Killer players and more Survivor players

Eh. If the hook spawns are currently bugged (as some streamers think) Midwich is pretty decent.
Both Yamaoka maps feel moderately balanced and fun to play on.
SW is fine as is.
I'm sure there are more.
We all have issues on all maps
Some players don't like the corn fields on those maps
Some players don't like how Shelter woods don't have much "high ground"
Some players don't like the Swamp maps
Most players don't like RPD, Haddonfield
The size of maps need to be changed in a way to be "fair" for both sides (it's the only thing that can be fair for both sides)

who sabo in all honesty? you see 1 sabo squad every 15 matches
But still... It happens
And I don't mean a Sabo squad I mean 1 Survivor Saboing
-
Corrupt does delay the game for like 10-20 seconds... As soon as the match starts the Survivors know that you're running it so they'll either Boon a Totem close by or spread out to the other Gens... and you might have one Survivor stay around a Blocked Gen to start it as soon as Corrupt ends
Pain Resonance can be taken out by a sabo player and bad RNG
-
All of them need to be reworked in one way shape or form
-
I wanted to do the same thing but for Killers... But that got too difficult to keep track of everything
Like other have stated I would like to know everyone's perks
When the Gen's were done (how many)
When Hooks happened (how many)
How long chase were (how many)
Stuff like that
-

There is no counter for this despite what everyone says. This is a broken 4 man swf who came in to bully the killer and control everything in the match. You can't hook them, if you slug them they get picked up immediately, if you chase someone they know how to abuse broken loops on maps.
I play Myers and when I run into this where I can't hook anyone I slug 1 person and stand over there slugged body with tier 3 ready. Anyone comes close they go down, they can watch there teammate bleed out on the floor. No cheesey busted 4 man escape for you guys.
Never said that there was
-
That depends on how early you notice it happening
If it's early game then get the down (or see the first Survivor enter the locker) and look for the other survivor
If it's late game then get the down (or see the first Survivor enter the locker) then half ass look for the other survivor
If Boons are in play then snuff them out
I'll be honest and say that I don't know what I'd do in those situations... they sounds way to specific for me
But if it's happing a lot then run different perks.... Why run the "meta"
-
If we are basing the "what if" on what the game can handle then no
But if we are basing it on creativity then maybe
-
In my opinion
Camping (either face or proxy)- is when a Killer doesn't leave a theoretical area to which a Survivor is hooked
Tunneling (either hardcore or happenstance)- is when a Killer doesn't leave a Survivor to heal or get on a Gen after being unhooked
See I am one of those Killer that doesn't Camp nor Tunnel but get (Bad Word) cause the Survivors think that I am... Yes I won't leave a hook if I see another Survivor or I see scratch marks (either around the hooked Survivor or coming close to the hooked Survivor)... and as for Tunneling I do only for the hook nothing else so if I see a Survivor getting unhooked then I'll go see what I see (either the Survivor that just came off the hook or them healing -either at the hook or somewhere close by- so it's not entirely my fault for doing what I do... but if I am in a chase with another Survivor and the save happens then I let it go
-
The viscous cycle continues
Boons being a thing does give benefit to Totems being an in game mechanic other then Cleansing (something that I thought others wanted it... but I can be mistaken)
The Gen-Rush vs. Camping and Tunneling are two sides of the same coin... both are up to whomever plays this game.... and both are the reasons for the other
Hexes and Boons are two different mechanics according to the Devs... by no means am I defending the strength of Boons but just offering a reasons as to why
-
They are using the best engine (to my understanding) they need to recode the game
Blueprints isn't the best way to code
-
Boons just have become a complaint cause of the -rinse and repeat- nature of them
Camping and Tunneling have been a thing since the beginning (not that I know... I started playing this game when the Plague was introduced)
Perks have become a band-aid "fix" to a lot of issues
Honestly I don't receive that much toxicity... but have faced off against 2-4 man SWF's a lot more
-
Leader- faster action speeds for my teammates
Whispers- (it's not talked about a lot so...) It's great to know a Survivor is nearby
I would say Oppression and Surveillance but I haven't played with them in a while
-
Some information perks aren't good yea... Some Regression perks are bad yea
But there are some that do work... Like Whispers it may not be aura reveal but it still has a place in this game
I feel that if the Devs increase the base regression that it would help... and change up the skillcheck UI
So other perks can work... Like Overcharge (but that is a different discussion), Huntress Lullaby, Autodidact... Having any status effect could change how the skillcheck shows up
Separate perk interactions just a bit.... Like Deep Wound: If the Killer applies it then it lasts for X seconds but if it's Survivor applied then it lasts for Y seconds... And adding Blocked Gens regress if it was Killer applied vs. Survivor applied it wouldn't
Doing something like that would Buff Legion and Deathslinger... while keeping BT and Soul Guard the same
And Thrilling Tremors and Deadlock get a buff while also buffing Repressed Alliance to a degree
-
It would've been great if they added Hex:Pentimento before they added Boons... or if they added Killer destroying Totems on to Pentimento
It can work but forcing something to work doesn't do that much in terms of power/ balance
-
I believe that recoding the game may sort out a lot of problems
But then it's up to SBMMR... and we all know what that means
The Devs do have a group of people that are on the balance team... but updating the game every month and a half doesn't bode well
-
Can I say all of them are bad?????
Either A) Bad spawns
B) A different Killer (Playing a Killer I am not used to)
-
Welcome.... Play all killers and get a feel for who you like the most
I started playing Pig... and still do
-
Honestly They need to recode the game
So they can get the best out of the engine they are using
But they probably won't do that
-
1- Pig
2- Huntress
3- Spirit
Honestly I know that the Pig is 1st... but I don't know the rest (LOL)
-
If you don't enjoy the game anymore then... yes
And no I don't recommend this game to others (even though those people have it downloaded)
-
Fair enough
I haven't played Spirit in awhile
I have been playing other Killers
-
That's a no from me
I know that being camped is annoying but if the Killer if focused on you then it's up to the rest of the team to do Gens and possibly get a save

I mean, we like a game where both sides get treated equally. Where standards for one side are also applied to the other. It's why Mori's were nerfed with DS. It's why Hatch was nerfed while endgame perks were effectively buffed, making the endgame portion a lot more killer sided as it should have been for years.
So why was the statement of "removing the antiquated part that only applies to specific Killers with traps" added when Small Game was changed? The devs clearly think that perks that only hardcounter specific core mechanics is an outdated stance.
It's like seeing "removing the part for specific killers to have basekit instadowns" on Billy and Bubba but seeing Instaheals return. It would be a massive double standard if Billy and Bubba lost the ability to instadown(altho, Bubba would manage), but see survivors have an even easier way of healing up.
"But those are not comparable", I hear you say. But are they really? Their only difference is power hierarchy. And power hierarchy is the worst reason for double standards. It's like nerfing Clown because he can down people too fast in chase, but leaving Nurse and Blight untouched, it would not make sense.
You also need to remember that this game is a Asymmetrical... so certain things will never be balanced

Yet, there are no perks that come even close to making those items useless. Lightborn does. So what's your point even bringing up medkits etc when it supports my point?
Plus Flashlights aren't the weakest item... Keys are
Flashlights are stronger then you give them credit for
You said that Item are like Survivors powers.... And I'm saying there are more then Flashlights
There are perks that hurts Items... it's just that they don't do enough (aren't "meta")
You are on this Flashlight crusade but there are other Items... why are you so upset about a Perk countering an item... Flashlights counter Wraith, Nurse, Hag and Spirit
Lightborn isn't "meta" nor does it do anything but stopping blinds while showing you who tried to blind you
Why do you think that Lightborn is a thing... Because Killers getting blinded while stuck in an animation Kicking pallets, Picking up Survivors, even Cleaning off their weapon, Kicking Gens... Not to mention quick blinds (a time when the killer doesn't have time to avoid the blind), Locker blinds
-
We do need to realize that Hexes and Boons are different
Yes I do agree that COH is strong and getting rid of the stacking would help decease the strength a bit
And Yes I also agree that Hex: Pentimento needed to be in the game before Boons came out
Also adding in a Cooldown onto Boons would help as well
-
Mine is:
BT- Yea I know... but it's for the team
Leader- My team does things faster if I'm around (Healing, Totems, Exit Gates, even Sabo)
Kindred- So I can see my team and the Killer if they decide to camp or is a stealth Killer (no insta-stealth unless it's a Tier 1 Mickey)
Stake Out- So me being within TR gives me great skillchecks (and as a Killer is nearby- warning)
I would run other perks but those feel the best for me (and my playstyle)
-
It is sad but I haven't played her in a while....
-
I play a lot of Pig, Hag, Huntress and Spirit
But I do play others as well... those 4 are Killers that I enjoy playing
-
By saying it's not OP is an understament cause it is
If 4 Survivors use it then the game goes on to 4E cause to much time passes to get a down
-
DH is earned as in getting injured
Dh takes skill as in "Oh (Bad Word)" Killer is about to swing
-
I'm in the same boat as OP is....
Not for the lack of trying

What kind of responses do you get when discussing with others on here? Not to sound coy. I just like to get down into the nitty gritty.
That all depends on what's being discussed
It can be overly positive or overly negative
But in responses I get tend to be mostly positive... not that much negative
-
I don't know....
I got mine by accident (usually I'm the first or last to die)

Nice! I'm a PS4 player myself. I feel the Light orb issue is a weird meme of sorts. But I haven't gotten the full argument. I feel Dead Hard by itself is a bit ridiculous. I personally feel too much importance is put in perks in general.
The Lightborn issue is stemed from Entitled Survivor players that want to "have fun" blinding the Killer at every pallet and every pick up
Yea there are things that the Killer can do to prevent getting blinded but (Bad Word)
And I don't mind DH being a thing though I just wish that we got real validation not just soaking up hits
