I thought more along the lines of "a joke". Whenever he posts something, with very few exceptions, I hope that he isn't being serious. Like that reply mentioned above. "Not there to down them." I'm sorry, but considering his kit, that decision is not justified.
Of course it is not justified, but as we all know, the devs don't know their own game and let R21 players test it before the release, so we can't expect nothing better.

Because getting the first hit is VERY easy, you would then just need to follow the survivor for 30 sec until they go down. We played that version for more than a week internally and it was absolutely terrible. Even Killer felt it was super cheap and unexciting. We also learned this from the Pig Reverse Bear trap.
We also played with the 4.6 speed for a long time and to make him balanced, the power required to be WAY much slower than the current state (with longer cooldowns), this version was considered way less fun to play with and against.
How large is this "We" group you keep mentioning and why does this "We" group decide what is fun and not fun for the rest of the community? Why wasn't there an extended PTB where community ideas where implemented (or the ideas you listed above) where the community at large could test and decide for themselves what felt "fun"?
This is starting to sound like EA when they said "you just don't know what you want".
Edited for spelling error.
This "we" group is probably the same group, that played here:
Watch the gameplay, then cry.
PS. Hear what mattheu says, really good #########, telling a lot how devs treat killers.

@RSBI know they are saying Freddy is getting a complete rework so this current "nerf" isn't going to be affecting him but what they fail to realize is IT DOES affect him right now! I personally don't play much Freddy but if you are someone who does you are currently suffering this change since his rework hasn't happened yet. I know not everyone at BHVR ignores the community and many do try and listen but this is a clear example of completely missing the mark when it comes to a part of your community. Sadly nothing new. I don't envy the task with how toxic many have become in this game/community but there is a lot in this games design and patch releases that contribute to these toxic flames.
We have been waiting for a very long time for Freddie's buff. They now nerf him alongside with Doc. What do you think, can we trust them, that they will "buff him in the nearest time"? No, we can't, they nerfed him for another year, or more, untill they make another stupid nerf and extend the time we need to wait for his buff.
And that's sad. they would not do the same thing for survivors, everybody knows why.

Feels like the vaulting distance is unchanged. In fact some of the PTB bugs like survivors skating along the ground still persist. Kinda starting to regret my purchase now...
Welcome to DBD forums, you will quickly learn that no chapter is worth buying until a few weeks after release once they finally start fixing all the bugs and new issues that arise.
Still waiting for a Bubba, Freddy and now Legion reworks. Rip in pepperoni, maybe my grandchildren will have it (if the game will still be alive).

If you are a new player, I can understand why killers feel OP to you, you should just play more BOTH SIDES, but if you are experienced player... Then well, I have no words.

I will repeat the question - do you feel, that Legion feels fairly balanced for both sides? That he can get a fair amount of downs while not being weak/OP? That he is not way below all of the other killers? That his ability really works good in practice?
Is the current state of Legion a state, that you consider satisfactory?

We will not remove the stun effect because the killer can cancel the Power at any time. We tried it during development and the cancel then M1 technique was used by some internally and we felt it was very unbalanced and very unfair. We are very careful at adding stun (cooldown, fatigue) effects on killers, we prefer to not add any (like the Spirit when possible) but in some case, we have no choice. The design principles, strategy, and gameplay of the game are based on cooldown and timing. It is very hard for new game mechanics to get away from it without impacting everything that was done previously.
How about just making it so Feral Frenzy attacks on injured Survivors who are not suffering from Deep Wound will put them in the dying state? At the moment, about half the Survivors (in my experience) don't even bother to heal against the Legion.
If the Legion uses their power, the Survivors will remain injured. If the Legion doesn't use their power, the Survivors have an easy time delaying the M1 hit because of the Legion's slow movement speed. If the Legion uses their power to try to put them down, the Legion gets stunned every single time, while the Deep Wound timer doesn't go down during the actual chase. It's a lose-lose-lose situation. That would be good, but Legion's main problem will still be the same - being almost unable to down a survivor. Sure, he would get extra seconds from survivors healing themselves, but extra time does not matter, when you can't down someone.
Some survivors might get downed thanks to this change, but the percentage would be inversely proportional to the rank - the higher rank would mean lower percentage of downed survivors thanks to the said change. At high ranks survivors would not be so stupid to get downed/be near the killer while wounded, but without DWE.
We need a good DWE change (DWE should not stop at 99% while mending, or something else), or a complete rework of a killer. Maybe a mimic, as it probably was intended at the beginning (see the trailer and name of the chapter). Legion would not be strong (hey, SWF), but maybe fun at least.

Thats kind of what I was saying, its just claudettes or megs with sprint burst/dead hard dashing straight for the biggest loops in the game every time. It becomes repetitive.@RSB Survivors need more tools to go 1 vs 1 with a killer too. More exhaustion perks!!!
DS should be used as much as survivor likes, not just once. It is high risk (for killer) and high reward (for survivors) so it is balanced. Like hexes.

Nurse can just blink
Hag can place traps
Spirit can phase walk
Most of the others are just duds.

Honestly, they could stick to a "spy" killer, a "mimic", or whatever you call it. It would be much more fun than this. Don't know why they changed their killer concept to the trash we see today, they did not even have time to create new trailer or even change the name of the chapter.

He should not be 115% MS, as it would mean that he is less power/skill dependant to get a hit, and that would be a bad thing.

Buying the ######### killer with money won't teach the devs anything.
I will buy the characters with shards - it will be the first DLC I won't buy with money, and I have them all (sadly).

The game can finally be balanced for survivors, as they, with their low skill and big ego, can dominate, cuck and bully killers all they want! Game feels fun and fair (killers are filthy subhumans, so I don't care about them).

Making killer trash tier is "nerfing a little bit"? So every 110 speed killer is trash tier now?
I'm just saying he can travel long distances in a short time, he can instadown people with ease. And his chainsaw has a ######### reach. Something needs to be done, or decrause his base speed, or give him longer penalties when he's done chainsawing.
Yeah, every killer with 110MS, that has no tools to break the loops is trash tier, with Legion and (if you force this idiotic nerf) Billy on the front.
People like you, who played this game for 10 hours and/or do not know how it works should not speak about balance.
Well look at mister i have some hours on record so i can trash talk to everyone here. Stfu about legion you probably just don't know how to play him. Billy's chainsaw is his tool in chases. After chainsawing someone there isn't even a chase because the survivor is put in dying state immediately. Break pallets faster. Use tinkerer and fly over to every gen that's being done. Like it or not, billy needs some tweaks.
Sure, buddy, you can tell me this biased stuff as long as you want, it won't change the fact, that Billy is the perfectly balanced killer in the game, all killers should be at his level. I bet you are crying with anger reading this, but don't worry, every survivor biased player does that.
PS. Looping should be nerfed to the ground and stealth play buffed like 10 times (mainly by removing/reworking aura eading perks). Now you are probably bashing your head with keyboard.

This is gonna get me crucified, but I'm hyped because I think the Legion is now better than most people think, and because I hope the devs will change the one thing that can put the Legion at the top - remove the recovery period if he doesn't use Feral Frenzy to hit anyone. With that change he would be "too OP", as some people claimed.
It would be great to have it, Legion would feel balanced, but I doubt they will buff him that way.

That being said I didn’t feel Legion, Doctor, or Freddy needed a nerf. However hopefully now they’ll be better able to adjust their kits as needed, and not be held back by weird interactions.
(excluding Freddy due to his “Soon TM Rework”)
This will allow us to tweak the base power of a killer much better, without fear of breaking his build when a players use a certain perk. The feeling of necessity to have specific perks on a character to make him viable is not something that we think is good for the overall balance, which is the reason why we are doing those changes.
Thank you!
So why won't you release a nerf in the same patch you "balance" the killers, instead of nerfing them now and just promising us future "balance", so we need to wait probably as long as we are waiting for Freddy rework?
I hope you don't want just to nerf killers and us to forget about promised balance?
Their not, some games do this, nerf for a big change within the power later
And you think nerfing something weak, just to buff it later, probably years later, is logical? Isn't it more logical to nerf it at the same time you balance it?
R6 did it with thatcher and he got a huge buff in a later update, freddy could have this occuring on him so he can get a huge buff later on, seriously, in his message he stated that he feeling of necessity to have specific perks on a character to make him viable is not something that we think is good for the overall balance, which is the reason why we are doing those changes. that is a huge sign right there and you didnt even notice it
So tell me how long we are waiting for Freddie's buff? The only thing we have is a nerf, nothing more. If we are waiting so much time, and they promise us over and over again, can we call them "reliable"? Can we believe them, that nerfed characters will be buffed?
PS. R6 is a different game with different devs - this is like comparing Tesla to Saab.
I am comparing how they preform nerfs and buffs, also clearly you dont understand how hard it is to rework a power that has been hit hard by players that simply dont understand how weak freddy was at release, and really, come on, R6 is not the only game that has done this before and I know that, and some of the games that have done this before are like these devs, nerfed somebody/weapon really hard, next group of updates they slowly increased the power of them and they became very powerful, and due to people that complain about how powerful some killers are that are really weak, we are getting killers like freddy, to weak to use, remember huntress's hatchet change that was short, that is sort of like freddy, once strong, then very weak, they just didn't revert the changes because the same baby survivors complained about him still being too strong
It may be hard, but that does not explains why won't they balance the character in one patch, not 2 or more.
They just cripple already weak killers and promise us something, they won't probably do in near future (or at all), and they proved my words by the things they do like holding Freddie's buff for do long, like forcing many shadownerfs or like favoring one size. They can't be considered as a reliable people and can't be taken as such.
I know you believe them, I know you want good - but I play this game from the very beginning and I saw how they act. My faith in them got hurt so many times, that it is bleeding out sitting in the corner of my mind
