No, I don't think the person with such low esteem that needs a smurf account to like their own comments and posts would have a job

Hahaha you're already on a warning and now you call me dumb? You're not going about this in the right way are you
I'm on warning for a whole other reason, I don't think they care much about playground insults. If it was your friend how come he's not coming to your defense now all of a sudden. Or is the person using that account too busy using yours?

I mean it's possible, I bet there are a lot of people as dumb as you are that only exist to tell people to get gud and provide no real argument aside from "CRUTCH PERK Learn to play". But honestly I really don't think it's that

This isn't a smurf. It's my only account and I put these posts because killers keep moaning about the devs for making good choices
Sure it isn't bud, I believe you. It's just a coincidence that it was made just today, didn't bother even adding a pfp, and jumped to your defense immediately.

Yeah ok smurf account made by someone else just to get extra likes. Unless it's just a coincidence you made your account today, put 0 effort into making your account (didn't even bother putting a pfp that nearly everyone has), and then immediately jumping to the defense of the same people who have been getting obliterated on the forums. Must be hard being dumb enough to not know how to spell Legion.

Stop using a crutch perk then and learn to play
My bad I should just apply pressure right at the start assuming I can reach the other side before a gen pops (thanks omega corn) with my no mobility tool killer. Get good I must, bad survivor main says I am

So I just had a match against Spirit on Badham (Not sure which version) and all survivors were taken to the basement, and as I was put on the hook, boom, I fall into the void. I'm hoping that this is a seriously lucky one off chance but has anyone else had this happen recently? I'm avoiding basements for a while after that!

"Got a buff" yeah sure dude, totally not lying through your teeth. I'd rather them avoid working on gens for a little than have them work on gens at normal pace like nothing is there and then my totem breaks accomplishing nothing. (Didn't mean to mention Arty my bad)

@Keene_Kills said:
Aye. It was always the exhaustion perk I chose for that very reason. Just figured I'd bring it up, since it's become a heavy go-to from survivor mains when they need to try to demonstrate how downtrodden and oppressed they believe survivor is, especially when trying to argue in favor of each fresh consecutive killer nerf as of late.
No I understand what you mean, the thing that makes it so great is it's one of the only survivor nerfs that was uncalled for thus making them as much of a victim as killer is to the nerf hammer and that we should just accept it.
-
To answer the TL:DR, you don't. They made this thinking "Oh we should nerf ruin to oblivion because skillchecks are difficult, who cares what killers think". The "Late Game" was an afterthought after everything was said and done so idiot killers would have something to grasp at to defend this change. Everyone knows totems don't last till the end game. Either the devs are completely oblivious to how long totems actually last or are lying about it to give this perk a reason to exist.
-
But dude what if the best gen gets blocked, it should just have slowed progress on one gen and the killer needs to get a down within 60 seconds or it goes away prematurely.
-
@Keene_Kills said:
"And don't forget about the game-breaking nerf to Balanced Landing, an exhaustion perk that should have never had an additional bonus available at all times in the first place!"
To be fair I understood why it had that effect just because normally it's really rare to find 2 spots you can jump off of during one chase but on Haddonfield it was game breaking. They should've just fixed the map but what can you do, BVHR is gonna BVHR (fixing symptoms of a problem rather than the problem itself)
-
Made because certain people don't understand how stupid they sound and why their posts are getting ratio'd into oblivion.
-
"You killer mains forgot us survivors had our perks nerfed too, like MoM and DS. All MoM did was give me a free, guaranteed hit during chase that required me to do absolutely nothing to receive it but those trash killer mains complained and got it nerfed to where you need to do something to get a free hit. DS was fine as is, so what your first chase with the obsession was thrown down the drain via a skillcheck get over it."
-
Without a doubt bad, the way they wrote their explanation was a dead give away this was just them curtailing to mediocre players who can't hit a great skillcheck for their life and them cry when they have to leave the gen to look for the totem. The pro of late game doesn't exist, with how totem spawns are you don't even have to try and look for them to find it, sometimes they just spawn in an open field in plain view (unless late game is only 30 seconds in then sure). You know a change is awful when nobody is talking about the awful nerf to Doctor (if you do a shock you get stunned for 3 seconds making your anti loop nonexistent).

Hey, survivors still can’t hear Michael Myer’s breathing and Ghost Face’s monster noises from 8 meters away. So it evens out.
Ghostface's monster noise was removed because it made him awful at actual stealth, that woosh noise you mean right?
-
@Chaotic_Riddle said:
Yes?
There has been no legitimate Killer buff since Ghostface’s release. Demo’s change to break pallets isn’t something I would consider a buff either, moreso a QoL change, especially considering the ability to do so was already in the game, it was just an addon. Freddy was reworked, not specifically buffed. There’s a difference between changing a Killer’s entire kit and revamping a Killer’s sole ability, and they were kind of forced to change Freddy anyways.
So, yeah, they’re extremely Survivor sided as of right now. Have you seen Almo’s posts on every single Legion and Pig nerf? It’s ridiculous...

A lot of people are complaining about new Ruin, and honestly it's annoying.
Yes, the perk got nerfed.
Yes, it was needed.
Yes, you guys are mad, but suck it up. that's what happens in an online multiplayer game.
This might not how Ruin will be released, it's a test for a reason!
The new Ruin isn't even live yet but you guys are already crying. You haven't even tested it out. Just read the description.
In the meantime, stay quiet and wait for the PTB to come out.
Yeah tell us why the nerf was needed, because skillchecks are hard? That's the point, they won't even address why everyone was running it, because it was needed at red ranks. Almost every survivor runs dead hard should we nerf that too?
Here's why we're making it known that nobody but incompetent people want this, because it's never getting changed again (not in the near future anyways). Even if it's as awful as everyone is making it out to be they won't do a damn thing about it because rank 15 survivors can't hit skillchecks and proceeded to balance the whole game around that. Not one sentence in that patch notes said anything about using it or playing with it, just against and it shows.

@adsads123123123123 said:
The biggest buff he received was the change to not needing to change stances, which makes his chase much stronger. Before the change, to use his Shock Therapy, you had to swap to Treatment mode, use Shock Therapy, and swap back to Punishment mode to attack.This took 3 seconds in total (1 sec for each task). The removal of stance swapping guarantees 1 second to be shaved off using Shock Therapy, making it 33% faster. The developers mentioned a "brief pause after using Shock Therapy". If this pause is less than 1 second, even more time is shaved off of using Shock Therapy. The pause does not really matter anyway since they will be unable to interact with objects for 2.5 seconds. As long as the pause is less than 2.5 seconds, you can get the hit before they vault or drop a pallet. In addition, his base movement speed was also slowed to 110% in Treatment mode, which meant his base movement speed was 110% for 2 seconds (Shock Therapy and swapping to Punishment mode). The removal of stances means he will always have 115% base movement speed.
The Static Blast is more useful than Static Field. Static Field was only useful for getting people into tier 2 then it was weak after that since it slowed Doctor to 110% ms and took far too long to get people into tier 3. "The Static Field fills Madness at a rate of 2.5 Insanity Points per second (takes ~20 seconds) in close proximity, decreasing in efficiency the closer a Survivor is to the outer edges of the Static Field, taking well over a minute there to gain another Tier." The Static Blast seems strong as it will let Doctor easily find hiding survivors. No scratch marks = use Static Blast and survivors will scream and reveal their location. Scratch marks = just follow Scratch Marks.
Information from: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Herman_Carter and https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Madness#Static_Field
It's a 3 second stun for the Doctor, your power in chase is gone.

@Snow_Lep said:
Being honest, the perk did need nerfed.
But their nerf was the equivalent of chopping someones arm off when only the finger needed to be amputated.
There were better ways to handle the perk, but the passive regression is a solid idea.
The issue with the perk now is that it remains a Hex. As they said, it will be useful in the late game, but how many lit totems, let alone any totems survive that long anymore?
Ever since the scoring buff and Inner Strength, there is more reason than ever to just find a totem and cleanse it. With only 5 totems on the map and 4 survivors, it takes very little time before all the totems are gone. Most totem spawns are honestly garbage and allow a survivor to see and know where a totem is just from being chased. Combine that with SWF who can say to their teammates exactly where the totem was at, you can kiss those things goodbye in no time.
The idea of it being more useful in Late Game is true, but before you base a perk around it's ability to do that, shouldn't you know that most totems don't make it to the Late Game.
I asked in another forum, but I will ask again here. Can we get a stat on how many LIT totems last until the last generator is complete?
If that information can come to light it would be amazing, because it would show how underpowered most Hex perks are anymore.
Ruin's downfall is that it is a Hex perk still, it should be an unbreakable and continual perk to make it truly useful while still not holding as much power as before.
Because ruin skillchecks are too hard for survivors, but killers with no mobility tools need to apply better pressure. It's so dumb, welcome to the devs rank 15 mentality

The official kill rate in red ranks is almost 70%. The game is killer sided, yet so many baby killers complain about ruin being nerfed. Just stop, you are winning way too many games already. You don't deserve 4k every game. And if you can't get 3k on average, you are just bad, because judging by stats most other killers can. Practice more and stop acting like babies.
Lmk when they bring out the stats on games where a Mori/key wasn't used and there were no DC's then I'll care. So much happens during a game just spitting one statistic means nearly nothing.
-
@BabyBubbaMain said:
Fellow Killer Players, are you staying with the recent Hex: Ruin changes?
I feel like playing Killer is a chore these days, and the recent rank reset rework doesn't help the case that I am literally trapped in Red Ranks, and going full sweat in more than half of my games gets unfun and boring. Most games I try to meme around and have fun, but when I do generators just go fast and I can't really do much.
The Doctor changes also sound fun, but they really nerfed the Snap out of it mechanic really hard, and also made his detection more strict, as well as the pause after he shocks someone. I can't want to try these changes to see where Doctor is now.
So, are you guys going to adapt or move on to other better games? Maybe try to learn better strategies, or leave Dead by Daylight to die in the dust? Tell me your thoughts about this Mid-Chapter Update.
Honestly I don't think I will, they balance the entire game with a rank 15 mentality and don't realize red ranks are a different beast entirely. They're absolutely inept about how things go there and it shows. It's been 8 months and they still haven't fixed Legion, Audio has been hot garbage for over a month, and they nerfed Oni right out of the box. Yeah no, I'm probably gonna move on if they go through with these changes WITHOUT reducing map size. They're desperate for new players and they're willing to destroy red ranks for killers in the process and honestly I've had enough, I'm done taking breaks and then coming back.

@goat10em said:
And maybe I've calmed down a little. He has a good point. People complain about gen speed. If they change gen speed do you think people stop running ruin? No. They won't. So change ruin, see how it goes then change gen speed. That actually makes sense and if it is the plan it would be cool for someone to tell us. I'm still skeptical because it requires doing what makes sense. When you have people in your own fog whisperers program that say "think of what makes sense, and bhvr will do the opposite" I'm not going to hold my breath. But there is hope this will turn out ok?

Come on!
Let us try it first... You may like it.
I don't think you realize that when they change something it doesn't get changed again. Hence why we don't want it changed in the first place (because we know better than to "wait and see"). Legion was nerfed 8 months ago and they still haven't fixed him.

@casualobserver said:
Hey everyone! WOW the forums are on fire right now! I though I'd share my noob perspective on the changes if anyone cares, let's try and keep it polite and civil in here :)
I can see the Killers are really really angry but from my noob survivor perspective these changes are much welcome. I just started playing this game having found in on xbox live game pass and I actually thought it was a completely different game, I never would have downloaded it if I knew it was a 1v4 multiplayer hide and seek game but I did and I really liked it alot!!! I was really suprised.
One of the things I noticed that made this game so fun and engaging is how deeply personal it feels either running away from the killer or getting a survivor always feels like a great victory, and I think it's obvious to everyone even if I cant explain it well, that something about the game really hooks you becuase I've never played a game like this where so many people will message you on xbox trash talking after a game, people really get into it!!! So I get the passion over Ruin.
Idk how many hours in the game but I got a Feng min to the mid 30s and a Claudette to 40 and played primarily survivor, on my own solo queue. For me Ruin was really frustrating because when I played matches without it they honestly felt really good and well balanced. When us survivors were always working on gens with 1 person leading the killer around or 1 person saving a hook we tended to win, and when noone did gens and everyone went to save 1 hooked guy, or a few people have been hooked before any gens popped we usually lost. But with Ruin on, most of my teams couldnt even get 1 gen done, after 3 matches of complete obliteration when Ruin is present, I started leaving matches immediately when I saw it was being used. Everyone acts like it's so easy to hit great skill checks, but for me on the original xbox crappy framerate on my wireless control I'm pretty bad, and when you go for them when you miss on the front side it's a HUGE penalty lost progress, stopped progress and exposed!
All of the changes were really great for my noobness. I hated playing against the doctor because it was so hard to snap out of it, the visual and audio effects of it are incredibly annoying(I dont care about the negative effects they are just grating to hear again and again), and I could see most of my low level teammates were not able to snap out of it either and there would just be three people screaming every 2 seconds on the map getting 0 progress on anything until gg.
I think its clear theres a big divide in the balance between noobs and experienced players. When i queue on Xbox it looks like there are far more killers queued than survivors because when I load into a lobby many times it will just be me and the killer waiting for 3 more survivors to join in. And in my experience being the killer takes way longer to find survivors to play against visa versa. Which makes sense because not only do you have to find 4 people for one side, but on survivor you take the risk on being the first one hooked and killed and "tunneled" getting unhooked right in front of the killer, so the whole game you get farmed and get very few points, but killers always get a few hits and hooks if not kills, especially the ones with instant downs!
I get the killers perspective about the red ranks for sure though! When you have a good team the gens can go very fast I cant imagine what playing against a pro team of survivors with all the best perks unlocked for all characters talking on headphones etc. Maybe the solution is that the Devs need to increase the difficulty for survivors in the high ranks and especially if they are playing a lower ranked killer, with the expectation that survivors playing at the highest levels should be expected to us voice chat, vs new casual players who bumble around in pug groups with no voice chat. BUT I think all of it should be based of statistics on win%s and maybe this change to ruin is based on ruin being too good? The debate on here between survivor and killers reminds me of L4D people who played infected would also say that the best survivors were just untouchable, I do think it's a bit inherent in the game design that if the survivors play perfectly then yeah the evil side is screwed, especially in DBD where its 4 people having to play perfect vs 1 player playing perfect.
Anyways I hope we get to a place were everyone can feel the game is balanced at all levels as hard as that is :) Thanks for reading!
Thing is bud game balance shouldn't be done around ranks 20-15, it should be done more about 8-1. I think they should've given new players a separate queue where they can only go against people their own rank and it would only open up if the queue took too long. At rank 1 the game totally changes and yet the devs are still stuck with a rank 15 mentality hence why they also nerfed Doctor.

Killers should NOT be so stressful, disheartening, and discouraging to play when they can end up facing swf 15 levels higher than them who use genrush tactics and infinite loops etc. to go out of their way to act like cocky jerks.
Sound is broken, DS+BT is easily abusable, gens fly without current ruin, certain maps are gigantic and take ages to patrol, Jungle gyms next to incredibly safe buildings are still a thing, they're nerfing a perk weaker killers like Clown and Legion depended on to have a chance against a good team, Enduring was nerfed to only work against pallet stubs making easily abusable DS that much worse. No problem

Yep and it will then reach the live servers guaranteed (let's not pretend it won't, we all know it will even if the entire community said No, funny enough they kind of are right now). But Dead Hard isn't even that good. Once the survivor uses it, the killer just has to wait for them to use it. Easy counterplay. Something like Sprint Burst is better in most cases.
You never played against people who are good enough to wait for the killer to start the swing animation and Deadhard instantly have you... I've had people Dead hard against me meanwhile I'm literally on top of them and I try to do the quick swing only for them to Deadhard it perfectly and reach the pallet. Sprint burst doesn't let you reach a pallet/window midchase after you make a mistake either

You want to talk about every survivor perk that was nerfed? Everything is for balance's sake.
Yeah let's talk about them, MoM was a disgusting perk that was basically a third hit for anyone with 0 skill involved, combined with Deadhard and old DS good luck. The Balanced Landing nerf was a cheap excuse of a bandaid for Haddonfield. DS was basically a second chance perk that made your first chase with the killer just a complete waste of time for him. Ruin slowed the game down for about 30 seconds and you're without a 4th perk the rest of the game, people still work through it anyways while one or two people go out and find the totem.
-
Ok lets nerf Dead hard then, survivors rely on that perk way too much. I wonder how they will respond.

Well I have taken his advice and I'm much happier, I now play Civ 6 with friends. Thanks Mathieu

Well yes, it's always been the best way to play (if you just wanna win). It wasn't necessary though since ruin bought you some time to play lax and not tunnel people down first hook but why bother now. You'll get a lot of regression on gens if they're too busy being tunneled to death to work on gens.
