Sorry I should have clarified, I meant more of when I’m in a chase with him
Throw pallets earlier than you normally would. Try to fake things, he slows down to 110% when he shocks, I think.

This actually goes hand in hand with the recent Gatekeeper change. Previously it was very punishing if you let one or two generators go early on. Now, it's not the end of the world if a few go off early as long as you recover and keep the match going afterwards. We made sure to keep Gatekeeper in mind when changing Ruin.
While we certainly appreciate the thought that was clearly put into this change, there is the reality of the matter.
Gens are impossible to control on some maps. Rotten Fields with Legion, for example. What am I supposed to do? There is no way I can pressure the Survivors enough. Additionally, on maps with a lot of pallets, Blood Lodge for example, one committed chase will cost you three gens. There aren't any real dead areas on most maps.
-
Definitely too fast. Idk what I'm supposed to do with Legion on Rotten Fields.
-
I mean, I am competitive but I like to chill and have a relaxing game most of the time. If I wanted to be stressed, I'd play Siege or League. I find it difficult to enjoy Killer, I'm not arguing their current power, I'm just saying it isn't fun.

Dude I wasn't even responding to you or the OP someone else said it was impossible for a solo gen to get done in under a min and wanted to see the math.
So I did show him that its both possible while also showing math behind it.
I said nothing on likely it is to happen just that it is possible.
Ah, then yes. Totally possible for a gen to get done in under a minute solo. Assuming perfect conditions of course.

Camping and tunneling is totally fine.
You messaged them, they did not reach out to you, therefore, your fault for instigating.

I haven't noticed a movement change yet on xbox but nurse is definitely too annoying to play as now. I think her basekit was too strong, but now it's too stressful to use.
The movements seem sharper, idk how to explain it.
-
Well, I'm glad you are having a good time, but considering your recent discussions and the vendetta you seem to hold against Killer players, I will take this with a heavy dose of salt
-
No, I don't play nice. Kinda hard these days, but I really don't have a reason too

If the survivor being chase by the killer lasts more than 80 seconds, 3 generators will end if these survivors are repairing different generators.
That wasn't the original post. The original post said that 3 gens popped in the first minute.

Hmm? 1 survivor in chase and 3 of them repairing a different generator.
3 repairing separate gens would = 0 being done in the first minute

Have you read my post? I was referring to M1 Killers and not the likes to Freddy, Nurse, Billy or Spirit who has enough mobility from going 1 gen to another. In fact when I'm playing these 4, I really don't need Ruin to work my way through.. However do it with M1 Killers who have no mobility or gen pressure skills, especially on big maps.. You'll be surprised that 2-3 Gens gets pop up even before you find your first survivor, That's how frustrating playing M1 Killer is on the Red Ranks..
I play Legion at Rank 1 on console....trust me, I know the struggles of an M1 Killer.
-
Doc isn't OP, Doc is just new.
The worst thing we can do is nerf something that is obviously new and people need time to adjust to it.

Simple engineer's toolbox is 25% faster:
80/1.25= 64 seconds.
engineers+ socket swivles is 40% faster
80/1.40 =57.14.
Even without prove thy self speed buff engineers + socket makes it less then 1 min.
How often do you see an Engineer's with socket swivels, plus Prove Thyself in a game? I've played about 10ish games and have only seen Commodious'. 3 gens in under a minute is possible, but only if the Killer is AFK and has zero tracking or gen perks. Like, Discordance? Corrupt? Hell, even Ruin and Surveillance.
The OP is implying that every game he has gotten has had this in it. Either he is extremely unlucky, or he is exaggerating. I think it is likely that he chased a Survivor into a god loop (pls remove) and wasted a minute and a half chasing him. Then, by the time you down and hook him, you've lost three gens.
My numbers were off in the original post. It is certainly possible to lose 3 gens, assuming the Survivors are perfect and bring the best equipement and you apply pressure on one Survivor.

It is possible.. you do know completing a gen takes 80 seconds, which is 1 minute and 20 seconds.. On big maps, they pop up really fast.. have you tried playing m1 killers on cornfield maps? especially rotten fields. You'll be surprised how fast the gen pops up while you're still looking for your 1st Survivor.. And yeah I don't use Noed either because I'm a killer who don't want any of my game to enter end game.. But these gens Popping left and right in 1 minute should be address, unless of course the Devs even care about the problem of killers especially M1 killers..
Oh, I'm well aware. I am a Legion main.
I'm sorry for this, but if you lose two gens in the first minute, you have bad map awareness. You should know the general area where the Survivor's spawn. You can find at least one of them.

How is it not possible?
2 maybe. 3 is not.
Even with the best toolboxes, and two people with Prove Thyself, it will take you more than a minute to get three gens done. I think with maxed Commodious with two people using Prove Thyself, it takes about 30 seconds for a gen to pop. 30+30=60. Therefore, you cannot do 3 gens in under a minute, barring perfect and extreme circumstances.

It is completely possible with socket swivel commodious toolboxes, prove thyself, and survivors spawning right on top of your generators because you are not running the now necessary corrupt intervention.
Prove Thyself only affects other Survivors, not yourself. You would get one gen done in ~30 seconds and be chased by the Killer, splitting you up. Also, that is a perfect scenario that happens rarely.
-
2 to 3 gens in a minute is not possible.
-
Yeah, I'm on the Xbox One X and S. Frames are very low on Lery's, maybe 15 max. Just tried it with Demo.
Not an enjoyable experience.

Of course, general stats alone aren't used for balancing. We make sure to do our research, watch experienced players play and get their feedback, and use more detailed statistics.
Don't most experienced players think that Pig needs a few things adjusted?

She does well in red ranks as well. We released stats for all killers a little while ago, if you'd like to take a look: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/106566/
I thought we could not use just those stats as terms for balancing?

Usually I run Whispers now with Doctor. It's amazing, you get the exact locations every time you use Static Blast.
The tech I wanted to share is just how to get an 100 % 4k when the conditions are met.
- Find the hatch first
- Stand on it
- As soon as Whispers goes off, close the hatch
- Use Static Blast to know the exact location of the last Survivor
- Kill the last Survivor
Not really a tech. Just a normal thing to do
-
Idk, I don´t really think any abilities or powers are OP at the moment.
-
Both Survivor and Killer feels a little different. I'm not sure exactly what it is though
-
I kinda miss it too. I haven't seen the red dress Nurse that haunts the Red Ranks on Xbox in a long time.
-
Xbox is actually pretty good with this sort of stuff. Report and move on.
-
Damn, I'm sorry that happened to you guys. I've been getting pretty decent luck tonight with the MM.
I definitely had a Killer game a week ago against 3 Rank 20's and a Rank 8....while I was Rank 1.

I don’t know, just my opinion but I’d go by the classic -
0-1 escapes - killer win
2 escapes - draw
3-4 escapes - survivor win
I think it’s straightforward and how many judge games (including the devs given the 2k balance point we hear about). I guess you could always just record all the data, including pips, and let people interpret it as they please.
I'm not sure I like having the draw there, but I suppose it might be needed. Thank you for your input!
-
I have to disagree. The effect isn't that powerful, especially in the early game, and it is pretty bad on its own. To top it off, it is still a Hex perk. Even if it did do something, it would likely be cleansed in 30 seconds.
-
NOED is a fine perk. It doesn't reward bad Killer play, it punishes bad Survivor play. If you get hit by it, it is entirely your fault.
I've been hit by it plenty of times before. Have I been upset? Oh yes, extremely. At the Killer? Nope. At my dummy team? Yup!
-
@Karl_Childers said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1018958#Comment_1018958
Then it’s a win for the killer also....does that not make it a draw? If you hypothetically played 10 games and all ended with 2K/2e, if you said survivors won all the games that would be incredibly misleading.
Hmmm. How about this, if the game ends in a draw, it comes down to pips? I, personally, use pips as a measure of winning, but the kills and escapes thing is way more reliable.
So basically, 2K 2E, then we see how many of us pip'd that game.
-
@Karl_Childers said:
I don’t understand the 2 escape win condition. Most people view that as a draw.
If it should be the norm, then it should be a win.

Also still passed my point up with the counter perk not a last resort cause you fail at chases and gen pressure 😏
Game isn't over until all Survivor's leave. Devs even said that completing all generators does not mean the match is over.

I'm a below-average Survivor, so it's relevant (to me) how a team with varying degrees of skill would perform over 100 matches. I think it's a great idea
Well, thank you! We are trying to be an average team using typical perks. The usual of like, DS, DH, BT and Adrenaline.

I'd be interested in watching the matches and would love to see the results, personally.
Well, we have one person interested. None of us are top-tier Survivor's. We are all (especially me) big time boosted.

you dont need to lol. everyone knows that swf is complety broken. but the thing is. marth and his swf played perkless without coms. which means its reproducable with solos. if every rank1 would do gens insted of hiding like rank 20s. survivors would never lose.
I would like too, if it would help change some people's minds.

I'm implying the Ruin changes are a Legion Buff. I find with the new Ruin it works well on characters that waste too much time kicking generators. So our little speedy buddies can run free as much as they please.
Until the totem breaks, then it's back to weak af killer again.
:( poor speedy buddy

Oh that experiment from 2 years ago?
I can maybe put together a new one. It wouldn't be with the best of the best Survivors, and it would be on console.
How many games would be acceptable?
-
@NullEXE said:
So far I have had 2 games as Legion with this new Ruin. In both those games 2 survivors dc'd.
I really don't like the sudden Ruin changes.
But I do appreciate this Legion buff.
Legion buff? Where?!
-
Badly redesigned perk. The effect is strong if the totem makes it into the End Game. However, there is no way it will make it into the later stages of the game, since it is still a Hex.
-
I play on Xbox, I have played on PC significantly, usually while I chill at my cousin's place.
-
Whenever I want.
-
Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do. These people are just bad eggs so to speak. It really doesn't change until you hit Red Ranks. There are less people leaving there because they (usually) value rank.
Good news is, like @FireHazard said, BHVR have been testing bans for disconnecting from a match early.
