I'm pretty positive you were able to puke on them so whoever unhooked them got sick.

I never could do it on Xbox. I know you could do it when they were on the ground, but I definitely tried and it didn't work while they were on hook.

  • You were never able to infect people on hook, if my understanding is correct.

Legion's FF is just garbage on console.

    Remember, it's not auto-aim, it's "enhanced animations."

Thankyou Pulsar. It’s simply too hard to play any other game so for the time being, I switched to survivor until my WiFi gets better.

Of course! Remember, if you play Killer, everyone else is playing with bad WiFi as well, since you host the game.

As Survivor, the lag will only affect you, therefore, play extremely safe.

    Hope this helps!

  • No, you cannot be banned for having bad WIFI. Though, I would advise that you be courteous to other players and not play when you know your WIFI is bad.

It was definitely a glitch, I just found an Ormond offering and tested it again. It worked this time.

Thank u so much for your help <3

Yup, just tested it three times. Seems like a general glitch, sometimes you just can't sabo for some reason.

A perfect team can beat any Killer.

If a Survivor team never or barely ever makes any mistakes than they'll beat that Killer. A Killer relies on skill to beat a good team, but they also work off of the mistakes that every Survivor makes within a heavy chase.

If a Survivor knows all the tricks, mind-games, etc, than they'll have a really, really, long chase on their hands...

True. Logistically, a perfect team vs a perfect Killer will always result in the Survivors winning.

I have asked myself this question a lot too, and still can’t wrap my head around why he’s so trash.

His bottles are great, and slow down chases by A LOT of time.

I hate seeing “clown is bad because he has bad map pressure” because killers don’t need map pressure to be good!

Look at Ghost Face, Huntress, maybe Spirit, and others I’m probably forgetting about. They don’t have good map pressure but they’re still great killers and can stomp a whole team.

Because they have god-tier chase potential. GF can turn of his TR, Huntress can hit from range and Spirit is the mindgame Queen.

  • I have seen people sabo on Ormond. They should be able to be broken, I'll test this and get back to you.

  • I would argue they aren't broken. Being unopen to discussion makes your call to nerf seem much weaker, would you care to engage me in a civil chat over why they are OP and need to be nerfed?

  • I think it will be this coming Tuesday. That should be when the Mid-Chapter Patch drops as well.

  • @Colton147 said:

Genrush doesn't really exist; you need to apply more pressure.

Corrupt Intervention is usually better on Trapper - allowing you enough time to set up.

Gen rush does exist. The game promotes it by offering Survivor nothing else to do.

Applying more pressure is no longer an adequate answer. That has been disproven countless times.

Corrupt is generally better on Trapper though, it's confirmed value is usually superior to Ruin.

  • @HauntedMandalorian said:

I'm sorry, but I have to laugh at you for saying that he requires Ruin. 😂 All I need is Pop Goes the Weasel. I do quite well at causing turbulence during a match and applying pressure. When he was my main, I very rarely had a match where I didn't kill, at least, three Survivors before they got all five Generators on. His Power is actually quite powerful. Just get better at playing as him. He's not bad. At all.

I disagree. 90% of the community disagrees.

Good Survivor's destroy Clown. I am glad you were having success as him, but most do not.

  • I send "gg :D" no matter if I win, lose or draw.

I think it's good sportsmanship to recognize the skill of the other party and say good game.

  • It is fine. Not the most fun thing in the world, but a totally legit and acceptable playstyle.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

That's because too many survivors are in red ranks. Red rank killer amounts have probably not even decreased.

    Perhaps. Perhaps not.

Why argue over this though? We have no way to know.

  • I think there aren't enough at Red Ranks. 10+ minute Survivor Q's mean there aren't red rank killers.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1009761#Comment_1009761

You forget ranking is a thing. Low rank high killer queues + High rank high survivor queue = ranking/matchmaking system problem.

    I don't think it is 80/20. I think it might be 70/30 or 60/40

  • Logistics.

It takes 4 Survivors to make a match but only one Killer.

Therefore, to have instant Killer Q times, you must have more Survivors than Killers.

  • I realize this has already been answered but, in short, he has bad map pressure.

He has no movement ability and a so-so chase ability. His bottles do cut off some loops, but so long as you through the pallet earlier, he has no way to stop you.

Clown is almost required to take these three perks, Brutal Strength, Ruin and Bamboozle.

  • @NotNox said:

I've used it for the first time in a long while. It felt like it wasn't working like it used to, but I'm not sure.

A while ago when I was using Frank's Mixtape Legion, the survivor would go down after 4 frenzy hits iirc. I know we can't hit them more than twice during the same frenzy, but do they still go down after 4? Or was that removed?

I believe the Deep Wound time was extended to 30 seconds some time ago. Therefore, it should take 6 hits to down someone using Frank's Mixtape, if I'm thinking about this right.

  • @Horror_Gaming said:

Their is 0 % chance of you being awake in a chase. Just like their is 0% chance of knowing if the pallet you are running too is fake if you haven’t been to that area. Just like their is 0% chance of stopping Freddy from spamming all of his pools at every loop.

Hence Freddy is unfun and his power does not rely on skill. It relies on spam and luck

    Small Game detects fake pallets.

It is somewhat easy to tell if the pallet is real or fake.

    Top tier Freddy's prefer Snare's.

    What facts do you have?

    Developer responses?

Scripted conversation on hand picked 'safe' topics to address.

If players would bring facts that aren't only true in belief, but tangible undeniable facts I have no problem listening or accepting those.

My argument isn't bullet proof, but I have yet to read any tangible facts you bring to the table.

    Perhaps I missed something?

I have my posts. Several directly called out Devs and questioned their decisions and said things were awful.

They responded. They explained. They earned my respect by climbing into my ring.

The Devs welcome feedback and critical responses. They often respond to it and explain the thought process. I have seen them ignore certain posts, likely because of redundency.

Your manner of thinking is full of anger and frustration over a suspected ignorance of valid arguments. There are many these days that share that view.

"I am 100% sure that they want to make money. That's how buisness' work."

They could and should make money by growing the player base by making the core game better.

Yet their player base has more or less be static with a few spikes of highs and lows. They haven't introduced anything to new players in the form of a better game, only gimmicky paid for content to get more money.

"I also know, from watching Dev responses, that they care, a LOT. They want to make the best product they can and it shows, they should be proud of what they have made."

The Developer responses are headed by people paid to be the face of the company and put on a little act to give false narratives about how those behind the scenes pulling the strings really feel about this c$o$m$m$u$n$i$t$y.

The core game is a stale broken mess that gets worse with every introduction of new paid for content. More bugs, more grind with 6+ perks . . maybe 1 being useful. A killer usually quick to be gutted and a survivor who only stands out cosmetically from the rest.

If you have fallen for the act a few developers are paid to perform then they are clearly doing their job.

    . . .

Players who accept everything and question nothing is the cash cow that will keep coming back for more. There are plenty of players happy to hand over their money to a developer who has shown through their actions, not scripted responses how much they don't care, AT ALL about their game.

Only about releasing the next paid dlc on schedule.

It's your money. You believe whatever you want.

    History Doesn't Lie . . .

Unless you only pay attention to scripted responses . . Then yes, everything is amazing!

You seem to be upset. Calm down a bit.

I'm fairly certain the Console community has grown dramatically in the last year. So, they have been growing their base. They have improved the game, significantly. DS nerf, MoM nerf, ect ect.

I am sorry you feel that way about the Devs, I've had several talks with them and they seem to be genuine people who really care.

You write off everything that doesn't fit your narrative as fake.

"I am sure they are working on a ton of stuff behind the scenes."

    You would be right.

Tons of stuff to make money. Nothing to actually fix the core game.

Okay . . I am only 99% certain its all about money

Could be 100% certain tons of stuff to make money and maybe . . just maybe a small tweak to the core game.

I am 100% sure that they want to make money. That's how buisness' work.

I also know, from watching Dev responses, that they care, a LOT. They want to make the best product they can and it shows, they should be proud of what they have made.

  • @Peanits said:

It's more or less there out of necessity. It did not spawn with zero generators completed before. The problem was, the survivors would then have to power 4/5 generators alone while the killer patrolled them. Since the killer could patrol them faster than a survivor could power them- and touching a generator tells the killer that someone was working on it- the only conceivable way a survivor could win was by waiting until the killer got bored and gave up, then do a generator. As a result, it became a very, very long game of hide and seek, and it wasn't fun for anyone involved.

These days, the hatch spawns. If the survivor gets there first, the game ends and you still win with three kills. If the killer gets it first, they close it and the EGC starts (odds are they'll get that last kill). Either way, the killer still wins and the game ends, you can move on to the next match.

I would much rather have the game end and move on, personally. If anything, I would just prefer if the emblems were more lenient when there was a hatch escape (since you basically had it in the bag).

That last kill could be the difference between a safety and a de-pip.

I don't believe there's anything like a better player, we're good at different things, I think it's more of a context situation for me, red ranks go for saves all the time, they feel like 1 escape is not enough, and I usually take advantage from that, but I have to state that I don't play Legion much, maybe I'm just having good luck every time I play as him, and maps are an issue for him. But lets talk about Trapper and that'd be another subject, he's my main.

I usually play Trapper with Corrupt, PGTW, Spirit Fury and Enduring.

Plus, Tar Bottle and a Bag.

Buttttt, I suck as Trapper. Cannot play him for the life of me, just not my style.

I know! Weird AH! But fun and effective cause of Feral

Hook someone in basement, go away, someone unhooks, you go back, Feral hit the unhooked (not downing him and making him mend and waste time without it being considered as tunneling) read the "hero" thanks to that hit, go for him, hook him in basement, repeat. Have in mind the shack pallet is a + for the Legion

I pretty much agree with @FireHazard

I think this is a pretty niche build but if you can get it to work, good on you, you must be a way better player than me XD

  • No, I would not. Two minutes is far too long.

I am sure they have something better in mind, they always do!

  • SWF does need to be addressed, they need to buff Solo's to SWF levels.

You cannot expect people to not play with their friends, that's just foolish and it comes from a place of anger and frustration.

When Solo's are buffed to SWF levels, Killer's can be buffed accordingly and (hopefully) maps can be adjusted in size.

  • @FoxWolfFrostFire said:

Instead of addressing ruin properly with a change to gens like so many people have been asking about they just nerf ruin into the ground

Instead of properly addressing match making they want to hide rank all together to obscure it not working at all.

All they ever throw are band aid fixes in perk slots. The whole of the long standing community have been wanting proper fixes for awhile now but it is just we're working on it or here is a perk that kinda fixes the current problem with the game.

    They have not obscured rank.

They nerfed Ruin to remove any excuse for not increasing gen times.

The bandaid fix part is mostly true, they do need to get on some stuff, but, I am sure they are working on a ton of stuff behind the scenes.

  • I suspect @Aven_Fallen is correct. It was likely a bug due to Dedicated Servers, as there was an earlier bug allowing Huntress hatchets to one-shot without Iridescent Head being equipped.

I would make an official report in the Bug Report section, hope this helps!

Bubba is one of the best facecampers in the entire game. You can 1 hook a whole team if you get early downs. He didn't throw the pallet because he knew he was going to get hit, that's how you know he was a good player. A noob throws the pallet when they are going to get hit anyways. I personally don't even throw pallets until I am already injured.

I always run brutal on clown. Because you can't do anything to a good clown except feed him pallets.

I doubt I can keep this civil, nothing wrong on your end, I'm just getting frustrated, so let us agree to disagree

  • @Apple2o said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1005402#Comment_1005402

Clown is one of the most unloopable killers in the game if built correctly. Bamboozle, brutal strength, and bleach + 15% ether bottles along with some good aim and knowing when to zone or when to directly hit the survivor with the bottles? Nobody is getting away from you.

Watch this video from like 15m in. That's me dumping on some people with clown, and honestly, I missed a ton of bottle tosses and still 4k'd.

    https://www.twitch.tv/videos/536522819?filter=archives&sort=time

And I have numerous games of me wrecking people at Rank 1 with Leatherface. Doesn't mean Bubba is top tier.

You got a fairly favorable map that is easy to 3-gen on. Not only that, that streamer was boosted. He didn't even try to loop from the clip I watched, he just ran, didn't even through the pallet.

How to counter Clown. Step 1) Loop for as long as you can. Step 2) Stun with pallet. Step 3) Run to next pallet.

There are normally enough pallets that Survivor's don't really have to worry about it.

  • Huge disagree with Legion and Clown. You must be new to the game, they are both extremely loopable.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

    How many survivors are swf?

I would say it depends. On PC, probably not a lot. On console, a ton. At red ranks on Xbox, MOST Survivors are playing with at least one other friend.

  • No, you are totally fine! All questions are welcome!

As for your build, I do think it has too much anti-heal. The Survivors simply won't heal and they will rush gens, leaving you an M1 Killer without any stall.

Personally, I have two builds that seem to work well for me.

    The first is:

Thana, I'm All Ears, Ruin and PGTW

Stolen Sketch Book and Legion Pin

The point is to get people broken and get confirmed value out of Thana. Ruin and PGTW allow for gen regression and I'm All Ears is a good chase perk. Survivor's are encouraged to heal once you get all of them injured.

    Second is as follows:

    Sloppy, M&A, Ruin and PGTW

Yellow Pin and Stolen Sketch Book

Allows you to keep Survivor's injured and no matter what they get the Mangled status. If they chose to heal, they waste a ton of time. M&A allows for some fast downs as they have less time to get away, Ruin and PGTW for gen regression.

    Hope this helps!

  • Believe it or not, I used to only play Survivor. My first months on DBD were exclusively in a SWF and Solo play.

I then switched to playing Killer exclusively. Then I joined the Forums, realized that if I wanted to be a helpful member, I should play both sides. So I did, I play 50/50 now.

So just keep up your regular activity, being kind and helpful on the forums, and eventually you may get noticed and invited to join the program 😊 That's pretty much all I did (I'm currently the newest of the Trusted members, having joined the program last November).

Tunneling doesn't work that way. It takes 3 hooks each taking at least a minute if they have DS. Factor in BT and a god loop and it's not that efficient.

It is if it is a weak Survivor. That's what I usually do, I find the weakest link and get rid of them first. Doesn't matter how good the other three are, a 3v1 is in my favor, no matter what they do.

  • I think he is C-tier without add-ons. With add-ons, he is B+ or A.

He simply isn't fast enough and his bell is iconic but hinders him.

With Windstorm and a bell add-on, he gets more mindgames and way better speed.

Depends on what killer you are talking about and how easily you get frustrated.

I personally don’t get frustrated easily as killer because I just don’t care enough about the 4K.

Playing Clown and Legion won’t be as fun as a killer like Spirit or Billy. They’re not as good and their powers are just boring. I find Clown and Legion to be boring as hell to play. The only reason I find Clown even mildly entertaining is his laugh.

It’s a game, it has no effect on me personally. Whether I win or lose is irrelevant. I’ll forget about it the next day. You think I’m gonna care about the Blendette that butt danced at the exit gate a week ago?

"You think I’m gonna care about the Blendette that butt danced at the exit gate a week ago?"

Oh, you might not, but I'll remember. ;)

Console players are awful in skill compared to PC players. I have seen how bad they are and they seldomly play nearly as well as PC players. I will list for you some reasons, and we can pretend that it is the same.. but look at this:

    1) You always have way more control with a KB+M versus a controller.

    2) The PC community is older than the console one for this game, so not only do you have players using better tools, but they also have been playing longer.

    3) FPS issues on the console. You can't even play certain killers if there is fog as you get FPS-related issues, so the threat of a huntress or a nurse is nearly non-existent on the console, whereas on the PC they are a major threat.

    4) Consoles attract casuals, whereas the PC community takes itself more seriously with their toys, they want the best of the best for performance, console users typically are people that don't care about having the best of the best for their entertainment, they attract casuals.

Feel free to post a rebuttal. But make sure to try and counter the point and not just try to insult yours truly because my points have hit to close to home.

What is the point of this post? To try and allow the devs to understand that the playerbase is diverse and to understand the type of user that they want to cater to. Casuals or people that have been playing forever?

1.) Playing as Survivor, the controller and KB+M are functionally the same. Additionally, this entire issue could be solved if BHVR would up the console sensitivity.

2.) Playing longer has nothing to do with skill. I have played TF2 for nearly 2000 hours and I am still pretty mediocre, I just think it is fun.

3.) FPS is a big issue, however, there isn't really a reason why it cannot run at 45 FPS on console, unless it is poorly optimized. Also, that doesn't affect Survivor. Plus, there are some god-tier Nurse's and Huntress' on console.

4.) Your last point is simply your bias and elitism showing. However, console players generally do not want to spend $1000 on a PC, so in that regard, you are right. They also value playing with their friends.

For the record, the Devs tend to go with the majority. I doubt PC has the majority of players.

  • @DostiL said:

Imagine thinking console players have same skill than PC ones. You also believe in console shooters, dont you?

Imagine thinking a platform means anything.

Mechanically, yes, it does. Console DBD has limitations, mainly the sensitivity and FPS.

Yes, I also happen to believe the new CoD is fairly fun on console.

  • @Mister_Holdout said:

The level of performance from players is higher on PC.

I didn't realize this until I switched to PC a long time ago.

I disagree. I have played on both and I have felt zero difference. Boosted players are still boosted, good players are still good.

Killer's on console, however, do not have the mechanical skill of their PC friends. They are limited, for some reason, in their sensitivity. However, I have found that console Killers track a lot better than PC. I think they rely on sound more, which explains a lot.

  • Since Gatekeeper was adjusted, are there any further plans to update the Emblem system? In my opinion, it is very easy to pip as Survivor and difficult to pip with many Killers. This causes a large skill gap at Red Ranks.

  • @Mister_Holdout said:

I'm genuinely not trying to be rude here, but console and PC are two different animals.

Some of the survivors on PC are on a whole different level.

Not really lol. I have found zero difference in PC and console Survivor's.

Besides, the MM and Ranking system is so screwed up, you cannot really tell. If you were to say there are more boosted Survivor's on console, that would be more accurate.
