As the title says...
I have decided to make a list of the best survivors for beginners on Dead by Daylight - based mainly on their perks.
Good list but Jane should be in Hard because she is loud AF

Show me some official stats saying those perks are used by 80% of red rank survivors.
I don't have any official stats, but I have my own.
I've been writing down my games by hand, about 25 of them.
DS appeared in all but one of them. Curiously, there wasn't a game where everyone had it.
Adrenaline appeared in only 6 games. I was super surprised.
Dead Hard was in 15.
Prove Thyself was in 20, but we all know that isn't normal, it's just because of the Ruin nerf.
-
I'll just respect the 4% this week.
-
No u x2
-
I'm sorry, I'm going to be mean for a second. If you honestly think FF is a good ability, you aren't that good and you need to play more.
-
I'm a bit late to this party but here's my build.
Thana, Thrilling Tremors, Corrupt Intervention and PGTW
Add-Ons: Legion Pin and Stolen Sketch Book

It's a combination of factors. Self-Care being so highly used isn't a big deal, because it's not breaking anything. But Ruin being so highly used was more of an issue because of its warping effect on the entire game experience.
Out of curiosity, what are "problem" perks that you are currently looking at or observing?

Oh #########. I thought I was getting frustated doing last Rift's challenges.
Yeah, it came down to queue times screwing me over.
-
I have an Xbox One X, I've had it fall from 25-30 to maybe 10 FPS. It seems to be a location in the map that does it.

I don't mean this sarcastically, but maybe take a small break. Don't get yourself to the point where you want to delete the game.
I agree though. Gen speeds are way too damn fast. I was playing with a friend of mine earlier and we were constantly knocking gens out of the ball park.
I know that I probably should. I put it about 300 hours for the last Rift.

Yes

So, you got a 4K. And you still complain? Did you pip?
I mean, what did those two Gens matter in the end? And well, you dont know if you would not have had a Win with another Killer (surely not compareable to Spirit, but a 3K minimum should be realistic)
I think it is fair to say that you would not have gotten a 4K with Clown or Legion in that situation.

Right I consider frustration to be a lesser form of anger.
I was frustrated at the end when they were t-bagging in the exit gates and refusing to leave. Like, yeah, go on, you won.

Because the idea is while the survivors are doing the first 2 gens you’re chasing and going for a hook. Also the gens that pop the fastest are normally the outside gens which are irrelevant.
A hook. Which is about 8% of your objective. While, on the other hand, Survivors have done 40% of theirs.
That doesn't work logistically. It should be like, 15-20% to 40%

Oh I was talking about anger in game
I was definitely frustrated, but not angry. They weren't being toxic or anything in game.
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
Be sentient. Don't get angry and let the survivors bait you.
I'm not really angry. I was when it happened, but I'm not now. I'm just looking back and I'm trying to think of something I could have done that would have allowed me to win, and I'm not finding anything.
It just feels like, in that game, I had no chance.

Trade it in for a PS4 then. We don’t have chat! ;)
Why would I trade it in for the inferior version ;)
-
@[Deleted User] said:
First off, turn off chat maybe? In case it bothers you.
Devs said “expect 2 gens to pop in first 4 minutes” especially on bigger maps, apparently.
2 things in response to that:
- With new ruin, I had 2 games last couple days where only 1 gen was done. 4K. So much for “expect 2 to pop”.
- Why have survivors repair 5 gens then? Why not just have them repair 3, and put all those gens fairly close.
Anyway, OP, I feel your pain. I tried Legion for the first time 2 weeks ago and the stun after FF is just too much. I don’t know what’s worse, that, or nurse’s stun after she blinks. I stopped playing both in favor of the fun and amazing new Doctor.
I play on Xbox, no way to turn off the chat for me
-
I never said it was Survivor sided anywhere in my post. I said I didn't know what else to do. Please, try to stay on topic. Maybe you replied to the wrong thread?
-
@Rivyn said:
We know. Devs don't care. They already said in their Q&A that you should only have 3 gens to work with, since you need to give up two gens to survivors. Plus, they want to get rid of slow down perk synergy. Six minute matches is too long for them.So long as they keep their survivor cash cows happy, they're okay with it.
I don't think they said that. They said that it is okay if two gens pop early, if I recall correctly. I think they do care, if they didn't they game would exist.

@Samwise444 said:
I want to be the first to say that I am quite aware that there problems with this game. I still love playing both sides despite the problems. I do have a problem with the new atmosphere in the community since the new patch in regards to one thing. I recently was offering advice to someone on here regarding what killers to look into when someone straight up told them not to play.
I have no problem if people want to express their concerns and frustrations as there are frustrations I have as well. What I don’t appreciate though is people on this forum hijacking threads to to discourage or scare people away. I would hope that we can answer the persons question in the forum and if we have our own concerns to start your own thread to express them. It is not fair for people legitimately asking for help and guidance to steer them in a direction that suits your narrative. Would be happy to discuss this with others in a mature manner.
They were merely offering their opinion. We have to respect that even if we disagree.

I'm sure it has to do with survivors being able to rank up to red ranks easily even when they're pretty bad.
I suppose so. I think that also contributes to some of the frustration Red Rank Killers feel. One match, they can win easily and it doesn't feel like a challenge. The next, they get stomped and they feel they never had a chance.
-
None.

I mean I already see too much self care in red ranks. I'm sure a ton of people in ranks below that use it too. Most people play claud first to just get self care lol
Guess it's time to nerf self care again
It is a good perk for low rank players where games last 20 minutes.
Not sure why Red Ranks use it tho. You would think they'd know better
-
Sure, I'll respect it.
-
Dammit, I just saw this. I remember watching him as a kid. May he rest in peace.

Lol DH isnt skill based at all. A survivor runs forwards towards a pallet.....if they’re a few metres short they tap E and hey presto, a free pallet.
BT at least serves a purpose of helping survivors that are being camped. Likewise DS helps those being tunneled. Exhaustion perks and adrenaline are just free time wasters for a survivor who isn’t being treat unfairly.
I disagree. If a Survivor guesses wrong with DH, they get smacked. If they guess right, they get a loop. Seems fair to me. BT is abused by people to get unsafe unhooks as soon as the Killer starts to walk away. It almost never comes into play vs actual campers.
Same with DS. It really doesn't help if you are actually being tunneled.
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1035831#Comment_1035831
15 seconds is pretty short. The free hit really only comes into play if the killer is actually camping or just absentmindedly swinging. But I probably won't be able to convince you that BT is fine, because you have long since established your point of view.
Yeah, you probably won't. I see how you think it's okay. What I'm saying is, I turn to leave the hook and when I'm a few meters away, they get saved. I can either hit the guy with BT, start a chase and likely get DS'd or I can hit the unhooker while being bodyblocked by the dude with BT and start a chase, losing 2 gens.
It just seems like a lose-lose.
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1035819#Comment_1035819
I don't see how BT is over-tuned, survivors who sit in a locker for 20 seconds will die. The mend time didn't need to be reduced imo, but other than that BT seems fine to me.
It can be abused pretty heavily. The second your back is turned, someone saves and you have another 30-45 second chase where two gens will pop.

I see a lot of killers respect BT and DH as well. Heck, I've even seen killers do Adrenaline suck tech.
True, but DH is skill-based. Their is Killer and Survivor interaction.
BT is over-tuned in my opinion. Every time Legion gets nerfed, BT gets buffed.
I've honestly never seen a Killer successfully do the Adrenaline tech, not gonna lie.

Lol no. DS is not the most impactful perk in the game.
What is? What other perk is so universally respected that people would rather leave you to be picked up then tank it?
-
@ClickyClicky said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1035568#Comment_1035568
Why do killers always call for nerfs?
Just dont tunnel and DS isn’t a problem
DS is the most impactful perk in the entire game. Even if you don't have it, Killers will respect it because they know that starting a chase all over again will cost them 2-3 gens, especially now.
-
10-15 Xbox NA at Rank 1
-
Plague.
Perks: Dying Light, Thana, PGTW and a perk of your choice.
Add-Ons: Any increasing infection speed and anything to make Corrupt last longer.
Basically, if they don't cleanse, they get Thana and you get easier downs. That stacks DL and PGTW very fast. If they cleanse, super easy downs, you get Thana, DL and PGTW fast.
Either way, they lose.
-
Honestly, considering the current games last about 4-7 minutes, there really isn't much of a difference between them anymore.
-
Absolutely not. I haven't seen anyone say that.
-
I'm on Xbox NA Rank 1. About 10 second Killer queue's and maybe 15 minute Survivor queue's.

@Colton147 said:
Killer perks (including the weaker ones) are much more stronger than survivor perks.
That's just simple logistics. They have to be.
Although, Cruel Limits and Monstrous Shrine are comparable to Slippery Meat and such. They just don't have a use.
-
What did you have in mind?
-
I quite like this. Adds some variety to doing gens and healing. It also gives some more meaning to some lower tier Killer add-ons.
No Mither needs to be reworked before that tho
-
I haven't had any issues on my Xbox.
Maybe fill out a bug report if it is crashing your game.

I guess you could call me a complainer. Apparently all my posts are biased and illogical according to killer mains.
I appreciate your posts, even if I don't agree. You formulate your arguments well and don't shy away from actually debating people.

@Hoodied said:
Yes, ruin did get nerfed, but this is on a seperate reason
Now killers will be queued right at the proper ranks, so now if you are a casual player you won't get sent into the red ranks because you wanted to use a perk to just have fun without not being able to
And, if its true, I seen a post talking about DS being changed, this will make the game more casual friendly
Thanks guys!
Idk, I doubt this. Queue times will be pretty bad for those Killers and Red Ranks will be barren until they address some of the unfun things about Killer, imo.

Pardon me for not taking Peanits at his word when he's nothing but the PR spinner for the dev team
It exists. I can confirm. I had a Claudette click a flashlight at me and I got the blind effect, apparently she did not get the points for a blind.

I thought queue times were fixed the day of the update, but yesterday it all went back, 10+ mins waiting as survivor and less than 1 min for killer.
As a Rank 1 killer and Rank 2 survivor I politely ask you NOT TO LOBBY DODGE, you need to learn to play against everyone, and don't come to me with your:
"WoUlDn'T yOu dOdGe A LoBbY whErE...?"
The answer is NO, I don't dodge lobbies, the only justifiable reasons to lobby dodge is Ping and knowing a guy in the game that you have played against and you know he is a toxic player or a DCer, any other reasons are just lame excuses...
In game DCing is another issue, don't get lost from the thread please...
Please do not bring toolboxes :(

What I did was buy some shares in Kleenex since bad players are crying their eyes out on the forums.
People are allowed to be upset. They are allowed to voice their complaints.
People are upset because they feel like they are not being listened to, which is kinda fair. The perk allowed a lot of lower tier Killers to have a chance at winning by allowing them to have a chance to get pressure. That is gone now, and there have been no buffs to compensate.
Killers are not having fun, and the queue times show that.

Spirit on hawkins would also benefit from gen speed reduction. I think you're confusing maps and killers with gen times again bud.
Too fast with the current maps. Killers with zero mobility are screwed over by large maps.
-
Unfortunately, I wouldn't. I want them to have an enjoyable experience.
