I thought it was for their game project they were working on?

Exactly which ultimately would give them money, if they decided to not break the licenses with dbd, well they could probably not gain much money from the game they're creating (and still this's all speculation)

If that is true, I wonder why they were so desperate for a license that is technically the weakest they have ever pursued. But yeah, presumably they would just Reskin the map if they could.

Money, stranger things is something pretty big, plus i think that this part of the contract its the same for every license, but the only reason they did its money, which is the same reason the license will be no more in the first place

  • I, think they have a contract that tells them to not do this ######### so, i don't think they can.

she has perks to counteract her windup time, and even then you tryto loop her you cant because she will bodyblock you and hold her hatchet. she is not even close to the slowest, nurse is slower lmao. there is no penalty if she misses her hatchet, she just chases and trys again, atleast nurse has fatigue, blight has fatigue.

Nurse power make her move at 300% movement speed, so she's overall faster than huntress, and she have to reload, so she's actually the slowest killer in the game, with my flashy boy trickster. If one of those scenario that you described happen, you either where in a junk loop (which is a death sentence against any killer, unless you stun them) you can just hold w and put ######### in the way, she will not hit you, on a loop, just don't drop the pallet if you hear that she wind up the hatches, she's not that difficult to go against, as long as you hold w she will waste ######### ages.

    Okay so the box.

If it's left alone then it can activate a "Chain Hunt" where lots of chains are spawned which will follow and attack survivors.

If a killer picks up the box, this Chain Hunt starts. All survivors will be bound by chains and scream.

A survivor picking up the box stops any Chain Hunts instantly, however now their aura is revealed to the killer until they solve it. Also the killer can teleport directly to them :)

Once solved, the box will respawn at a random spot. There is only one box at a time.

That's what I got from reading the power

It has been really weird. I've had a lot of potato survivors too (I've only played survivor since SBMM started). I'm slightly above potato. French fry, maybe.

Hahahaha however one little question that i always wanted to ask, my survivor MMR is like the killer one (aka every survivor have a separate MMR like killer?) if not then my matches makes even less sense.

To be fair, again, most of the killers I faced weren't very good. I've said other places that my matches are very unbalanced--either total escape or total slaughter, with a few exceptions.

For me was even stranger, it didn't changed anything with killer with most survivor i faced potato killer, with my three main i faced pretty decent killer

But I bet Counterforce won't have a totem counter. 🙃

I mean, since you see the aura of the furthest totem, i don't think you need it.

  • @KingFrost said:

    Counterforce

Counterforce is an excellent perk, and I think it's a pretty fair one. It's basically the new Anti-NoED perk. Forget small game. You do have to find the first totem on your own, but after that, you can go around and bust them all. It's also totally fair, since it also only shows you the furthest totem. Well desgined perk all around.

    Resurgance

I actually had a similar idea for the perk a while back. I think it'll be a pretty solid perk that can only be used twice per game. Good for anti-tunneling. It's a little better than second wind. Fairly limited in number of usage, but helps you out at your most vulnerable.

    Blast Mine

Not sure how to feel about this perk. Kicking gens is going to be a pain, more so than it already is. I do appreciate the uniqueness of the perk. I"m not sure it's something I'd ever use. Ruin makes it completely useless, as does killers who just don't kick gens. Could be pretty useful in a 3-gen situation. Can't be paired with Repressed Alliance, I'm assuming?

    Bite the Bullet

Eh, not a great perk. Might be useful for newbie players who regularly miss skill checks. I think it should have some kind of secondary effect.

    Flashbang

Not sure exactly how it works on the survivor's end. But it's kind of like Pharmacy, but for Flashlights. Or well.. Firecrackers I guess. Could prove fairly useful against campers. Blind them, and then go for the unhook when they can't see.

    Rookie Spirit

A good solo queue perk. You can sort of get an idea of what gens your team were working on with this. Low level requirements. Decent perk.

    Lethal Pursuer

I had almost this EXACT idea last August. This perk will be very useful, I think. Yeah, it only lasts 7 seconds. (Insert: So Longer than Ruin, joke). But it lets you know where you should go, where you should try leading survivors to interrupt the most number of survivors. Also if you have a hex totem, you'll know if survivors are near it or not, and whether you need to head straight for it. Basically gives you a stronger start, not unlike Corrupt Intervention. (Though Corrupt makes the map smaller, but survivors can still spawn on generators).

    Hysteria

Could be pretty interesting, though I think it needs to lose the basic attack requirement. Legion deserves a good perk, dammit!

    Eruption

It's surge, but with a more targeted base. I'm not sure how long gens stay highlighted for, or how exactly it works? Does stopping regression turn the gen non-yellow? Doesn't seem like it does, I think? Which makes this perk interesting. Though I think the cooldown should be a little shorter maybe.

Eruption stay light until the gen explode thanks to the perk itself, or until it's completed, from what i saw it will stay yellow.

Yes thats it what it is actually but back in a dev stream, I think it was dave not sure who said it but they said literally its also there to not make it so easy for survivors to just open the gates and escape cuz back in the days the "its just too easy for survivors once all gens are done" was a hot topic.

i watched back then all the dev streams and I clearly remember it how me and my friends got so dissapointed when they finally revealed it along with the really lazy legion nerfs in the ptb.

First of all, it pretty stupid to say "it was too difficult for a survivor to get out once the exit are powered" t-they literally completed they're objective already, like all of them, of course it will be easy they already Did everything and i don't recall them saying anything similar, people speculate that was something like that, while the devs said multiple times that it just meant to assure the game to end, people in the community said "it will block exit gate it will do this it will do that" while completely not listening to the devs, for me the EGC it's one of the best things they did ever.

  • @BenZ0 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2215774#Comment_2215774

Well when they mentioned the EGC not doing ANYTHING they haved promised with the issue that it is way too easy to escape once all gens are done and the devs literally said its gonna fix that isse and it didnt happend at the end, ppl knew that. When they added the DC penalty also targeting ppl with random dcs from the game ISSUES not their connections and still getting a DC ban, we where also foreseeing it that the devs dont give ######### about that and well here we are, I am gonna tell you, the devs will not care at all.

The first thing it's a lie, the EGC it's just meant to assure that the game ends after all the generator are done. Nothing more nothing less.

    I was Cannibal.

And on neither Killer am I to pre-rev a chainsaw without any vision on which direction the Survs took. PARTICULARLY not on Cannibal, as at least Hillbilly can cover some distance in niche cases with a "missed" guess on Survivor pathing.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2210741#Comment_2210741

Honestly - even though I AM angry, and mean what I say - people do read my posts thinking I'm angrier than I am... So I'm glad you got the touch of sarcasm/humor/whatever in my segment there. Because everyone else probably read it like I said it straight-faced.

OK so, with Billy it's usually a guessing game if the survivor it's good, you can't just use your chainsaw when you see them, you either fake it, or pre rev your chainsaw. For cannibal, if it was the old one, what you did was fine, for the new cannibal, it's fine but still not optimal, since his buff (and depending on your add on, for example the chilli make this easier) you can use your chainsaw some Meters away from the survivor and build up speed to be a threat or, to eat a pallet, because if the survivor play it safely, you will eat a pallet.

  • I think you should take a break, and about what you said before they pointed out, ONE mistake, not the only one probably, it was the most recent one, and what they said it's general Billy gameplay, pre rev the chainsaw and get the down, that was quite a big mistake, but since Billy it's an hard killer, i give you that one.

The solution is to make weaker forms of those perks a base part of the game, so that killer doesn't have to run slow down perks to have a chance at winning against good teams.

Base regression should be 200% of what it is now (ruin now less important)

Kicking gens should automatically remove 10%. (just nerf PGTW to extra 15%, so less important)

Should have the 3 gens farthest from killer blocked for 30 secs at the start of every match. (Corrupt can add 60 seconds)

Tinkerer problem will solve itself because killers won't be running slowdown perks nearly as much if they just did what I suggested above.

The kicking things it's just bad honestly, giving free perk to one side will not fix the game, they just need a form of early game slowdown, but it should be engaging even for survivor (for example they have to collect parts before starting a gen)

The devs have already shown that they have zero intention of doing this with the last update to small game. Saying that they hope solo players find the totem counter useful means they will NEVER buff solo survivors at base and are going to force them to take perks for crap swf get for free.

Solo will always be weak because of this and the game is going to slowly die.

No, solo will always be weak because matchmaking it's crap, even if they massively buff solo q, the experience will still be miserable, the only things that solo q need its a rework of the current matchmaking.

Didn't see this post at first when I replied so it's going to be separate.

I heavily disagree about healing in general being a waste of time. There are many instances where it's not optimal and/or even necessary (Plague, Legion), but healing in general is a benefit.

You're only stating specific scenarios about how Self Care would be bad to use as if that is the general scope of the game. As I've said before medkits are preferred so I'm not sure why people are acting as if I'm stating Self Care is better, let alone on par, with a medkit.

People really overrate staying injured. There's a time and a place for that, just like there's a time and a place to heal, but it's not a virtue. Resetting the killer's pressure by healing is the thing to do in many scenarios because one hook closer to a 3v1 can be the end of your team in a game that you otherwise could've won, and there are multiple scenarios where someone specifically needs to get healed but time needs to be spent towards other objectives.

Ok so first of all let me clarify, i don't think that self care it's worst than getting healed by someone else, they can be both equally bad, or good in some situation, but what I'm saying it's that the situation where healing its really necessary aren't many, outside of stealth killer (Myers, Ghostface, and wraith usually can get the first hit easily, so if your injured that will be your last hit, but they usually use sloppy butcher, and sloppy with self care it's a big oof moment) and if your on death hook or in a winning position, staying injured make you do generator "faster" (you save 20 second ish) which can mean a lot, again staying injured all game its bad, but the majority of the time survivor should be comfortable staying injured and being good enough at looping that they can waste enough time regardless.

  • @kyogul said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2196410#Comment_2196410

That's a bullshite "rule" about not needing to heal yourself more than once unless it's a Spirit. As if that's the strongest thing in this game (better killers such as Blight/Nurse, especially with certain add ons or perks). The purpose of survivor is to waste as much of the killer's time. Healing is heavily resetting the killer's pressure on survivors and making them waste more time than otherwise to down you. By trying to be a show off and refusing to heal when it's optimal, you're simply being a detriment to your team; it has nothing to do with how good you are at looping. People act like it's hard to get one smack on a survivor regardless of the skill. It really isn't, particularly when they're injured - one smack and you're down. Taking bodyblocks in situations such as if your teammate is being tunnelled also is a benefit of being healed; you can't do that when you're injured. And sometimes you need to do trade hooks.

As I was saying before, medkits are preferred, but let's not pretend that the lot of players have hundreds of medkits with hundreds of add ons at their leisure to bring every game, because they don't and you know that. People spend bloodpoints on multiple things in this game rather than the same specific survivor to get medkits to bring every game.

Self Care, when used right, is more than fine. Again people need to stop thinking everyone who uses Self Care is a rank 20 Claudette who doesn't do any objectives until she's fully healed. That's intentional ignorance about the perk and trying too hard to paint it in a bad light. Obviously if you're in a SWF you can coordinate your heals but in solo queue especially, and in general in this game, the more independent you are the better. The less time a teammate has to spend healing you is more time spent doing other objectives like saving or doing a generator.

Inner Strength is an alternative and personally what I prefer since I am relatively familiar with totem spawns; if I find one totem I can follow the hex pattern to find another generally except on certain maps. However you are limited to up to 5 heals, and your teammates can render your perk virtually useless if not entirely useless before you even get to a totem, if you even see one; some maps like Léry's and Midwich you can go an entire game without seeing a totem because of how well placed they are.

I personally have enough medkits to bring most games (I find survivor more fun without and I'm able to hold my own without needing healing perks/medkits) and the last time I used self care (and inner strength) was several months ago; not that long after I started playing this game, but I'm aware Self Care is a good perk when used properly, which after a certain amount of game sense you can easily start to use it right, especially when accompanied with Botany Knowledge to make healing faster. But this notion that healing makes you a worse survivor is kind of cringe. What's next, dropping pallets is a weakness too?

The things is, healing its already a waste of time, since what survivor should be doing are two things,

    1) wasting as much time as possible, which what you said it's right, being healthy make you waste a lot more time than being injured but this statement get destroyed by the other things that survivor should be doing.

    2) capitalizing on the time that other are wasting, aka repairing gen, basically that's the situation where the fact that other it's wasting time will pay off, ideally there will be three survivor on three different generator while one of them it's being chased, so a decent killer can hit a survivor in 30 second which means he will down them in 60 second ish now if the killer for example hit you before but then leaved for whatever reason, this will leave you three choices one, you use self care, and stay useless for 32 second, two you try to get healed by a teammate (which it's unreliable) and will potentially make you waste 16 second each, plus you could get interrupted. Third option, you stay on gen and pressure the killer, this's simply the best strategy you don't waste 32 second, and you use them to make progress on your only objective, this's why med kit are so powerful, you can heal yourself in a relative short amount of time, without bothering your teammate that are doing gens and one/two heal are enough for all the game considering you will not be just injured and left (unless it's a legion, but why the ######### would you heal against a legion) the only acceptable time to use self care it's when your on death hook, and even then you will either die if your time It's already in a bad spot, or if your winning a teammate can heal you a lot faster.

That's the simple reason why self care it's just a bad perk, there are more useful healing perk, an item that's 100000000 times better than self care, and staying injured it's the majority of the time a better strategy.

I prefer the survivors that are good at looping, but don't really pay much attention to the gens. The chase is the most fun part for me. To go further, I really enjoy going against survivors that swarm me when I have one of their teammates down. It is fun to try and out think and out play them when they are body blocking or coming in to pallet stun or flashlight save. Some people think that is bullying, but it is just a different play style for survivors than focusing gens in my opinion that is more exciting.

I actually agree with you, when i started i was incredibly salty when survivor did this kind of stuff, but now i actually have fun, usually this type of match are quite short, but it's fun nonetheless.

  • @TheMadCat said:

What means being efficient with generators? I mean, I'm really asking, because it seems (to me) that the only element that asks skill and practice is running the Killer.

But I would say I prefer someone being efficient on looping, so the rest of the team has time to do generators/looking for Ruin, etc.

Being efficient with gens means, for me at least, never losing second, knowing perfectly when unhokking, and when returning to your gen, knowing where's a three gen, and know when to break it, the act itself of sitting in the gen it's braindead, but knowing when staying there and when saving, healing (basically never but whatever) and suck are actually something that comes with quite a bit of experience.

Well...... They probably are, to farm BP, lmao.

Really though - yeah, well, I AGREE. Any Killer perks that translate to the same obnoxiousness of having to respect it, which totally warps your gameplay, even though they may NOT have it (Nurse's Call comes to mind, and I wouldn't say many other Killer perks can compare to what BT does) could also do with a change.

Or, perhaps something big that would change everything. Perhaps, quite simply, you can know everyone's perks before/during the game. I HONESTLY do not think that would be bad for the game. Either neutral or good. I can only imagine some silly counterarguments for it. But no good ones. So if you got any, I wanna hear it!

Yeahhhhhh completely destroy perk like devour hope, and haunted ground, since if people know they're in play they will either destroy totem early or not destroy them. Yours it's a really bad idea.

Moundshorud......I have not enginnering on Maths or Stathistics. I know I have biasses as u said.

But for me the unbalance of the game is very simple when I see that survivors win 15% of the times and killers 85%.

Balance is a mathematical concept= around 50%. It happens in LOL, smite or whatever be the game. It doesn´t matter how good or bad you play. U will be around 50% win rate because the matchmaking works for that creating balanced and close games.

If on DBD balance means killers win and demolish solo survivors 85% of the times, and that´s how the win - rate must be.... Ok. I´ll just accept it, althought I think it´s not fair, not close, not exciting.

And if killers, by valid strategies like camp or tunnel, can get you out of the game so easily, it´s even mooore frustrating. I insist that I don´t know what would be the best option (devs and players with more hours and knowledge about the game may have a wider sight of the situation). I´m just pointing, as a regular survivor player, what for me is a problem and a situation I´d like to be revised on next updates of the game.

Killer win "85%" of the game (not counting people with 2000 hours because they're another discussion) it's because matchmaking sucks, that's it, and that 15% it's not close game, it's literally four man escape with very few hook, if the matchmaking was good, then the average would be 50% so we can't take into account "killer win x% of matches" for the simple reason that, the average survivor suck, and if your a competent killer you will win. And that's fair considering that if your a better player than the other, it's expected for you to win.

  • @Artemisha said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2189890#Comment_2189890

That talks a lot about you. You don´t care about others game experience. So you wanna win at any cost, don´t you? Although you are not allowing people to play the game

If people are braindead its not his fault, nobody like losing, when you load in a match you try to win, since you will never have anything to do with this stranger, they're fun it's meaningless to you, like my fun it's meaningless to them.

  • Probably clown, i through he was just a bad and boring killer, he's now my second main (after pig of course) i just have fun with him, and i don't know why.

For viceversa, i think Billy, i through that he would be fun but sadly, he was more frustrating then anything, probably because I'm ######### bad with him XD
