No worries 👍 it might be a North American saying, are you by change European?

Yep I'm Italian to be more specific and i know only the most common idioms, (break a leg this sort of stuff) and i never heard that, probably it's just not used in Europe.

I see. I started playing some months ago. Many things I don´t know about Dbd progression.

Maybe they should give one more try.

Sadly, whatever they try to do, people will find a way to exploit it (old ds when it first came out wasn't that stowing, then people understood that you we're ######### invincible if used with UB) so i think it's fine the way it's.

Sorry hit the nail on the head is a colloquialism that means got it right.

I believe mount is right in saying the guy didn't want the perk for protection from tunneling but to use it against the killer. I think this can be called using ds offensively (ie against the killer) rather than defensivly (as intended by devs) as a shorthand unless you guys can think of a better phrase

Then i don't have anything to say, i didn't understand the colloquialism thank for the explanation.

She needs an addon rework. Her add-ons that affect the odds of players being able to search all boxes is oppressive. Her brown add-ons are good and balanced, they are fine but the higher raritys are just either useless or oppressive in terms of RNG.

If we wanted to buff her base kit, make straps base kit, make the keys not in a set place. Too unreliable. Make it work the same as escaping from a trap from trapper, an increasing odds of escaping after each attempt. This is just about all she needs for the most part, consistency and for her crouching to be on par with GF or close to it.

A more extreme buff is to allow traps to be active without the requirement of a gen finishing. I'd love this to death but again, this is more extreme.

As a pig main, this is all pig needs.

    I agree

I'd sad you hit the nail on the head. I think I'm going v to refer to it as using ds as offense rather than defense just to make things easier in convos. Unless you guys have a better phrase?

If a killer camps you......your time on hook shouldn´t advance.....so ez. This way this dog-killers wouldn´t be able to camp and tunnel players.

There is no fun against playing a facecamper tunneler.

Unless gens are repaired or only 2 players remaining.

They already tried, didn't work well.

Wow, so children like you attack people based on their posts.

While I accept that slugging, camping, and tunneling are part of the game, I can also accept that there is such a thing as toxic slugging. IE: Slugging the whole team and leaving them to bleed out to ruin their fun.

I mean, heaven forbid I be intelligent enough to differentiate between a valid tactic and a toxic attempt to ruin people's fun. But I guess being an adult is strange to someone who digs through a person's forum posts to find reasons to dismiss or insult them.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2185530#Comment_2185530

ANd yes, because gen speeds are too fast. I can take Survivors 6.66 minutes or less to do all 5 gens, and the Killer needs 12 minutes if he is expected to 12 hook people.

Killers would camp less if they had more time to look for Survivors because, as it is now, we feel like we HAVE to remove someone RIGHT NOW to slow down gen times.

I don't get why you and Wyle think having varying opinions is somehow bad? It's called 'critical thinking'.

If you need 60 second to down a survivor your not playing efficiently. If you need more than 15 second to injure (or down) a survivor, you should change target, apply pressure, and also your statement it's false, for two reason

First, it's unlikely for a survivor to stay on a gen for its entire duration, he will be harassed by a good killer with good perk (you also didn't considered slow down perk into the mix but whatever)

Secondly you didn't consider the travel time, and that can make a huge difference, in some map gens are spread out and you need quite some time to reach one gen as a survivor (not considering the fact that you could find the killer meanwhile)

Yeah, I don't like it either. What I would truly like to see is its original version, which protected both survivors but could be only used once.

Please no, it will create even more loose loose situation for the killer (which it's the reason ds got nerfed btw) and if you want to save someone while your injured, you deserve to be punished.

  • For me this position suit him, at the end of the day he's the easiest killer in the game to use, so it makes sense that he's not too powerful now.

  • Because people like her? It's like saying "why people main *insert x weak killer*" because they simply like it, and I'm a pig main too, i know she's not that strong, but if luck it's on your side, survivor will have a bad time 100%

You may consider Blood Warden a bad perk - doesn't mean it's not a 2nd chance perk. And FYI No Way Out can last up to 42 seconds.

Just because YOU don't like a perk doesn't change the fact that they are second chance perks for killers.

First of all it's not just me, 90% of the community know that this perk are bad, like really bad, plus they're not as impactfull as the survivor second chance perk.

This perk at best do something, at worst are pretty ######### worthless, blood warden need so much work behind to do something that is so depressing that literally make me want to use huntress lullaby instead of this.

And no way out it's a perk design to make the end game less painful, when it's a close call between killer and survivor (for example, you hooked one person, no way out does almost nothing for you) because if you could hook every individual survivor it means that you was doing not too badly, and even at his best, no way out its still a mediocre perk that often don't do anything.

You can't compare this perk to things like Unbreakable or ds, or adrenaline that can literally win games with they're own existent, and since the work you have to put on them, they're not second chance

Just keeping it real. I am a 50/50 player and not some survivor or killer "main."

Blood warden it's a bad perk, and it require hooking a survivor at the end game, noed it's the only things remotely near a second chance perk and no way out, it's just 20 second, most of the time when I arrive at the exit gate as a survivor the effect it's already off

Then you're talking about a completely different example - yours. I was talking about the SIM card and exclusively the SIM card. The words "Internet connection" are nowhere to be found in the comment you quoted.

Don't put words in my mouth and then say that my example is bad when my example isn't what you're saying it is.

First of all i never put words into your mouth, never, i was just making your example more applicable at this situation, because if I don't, what you said don't make any ######### sense, since are two things that aren't comparable in the slightest, so i said what i said because again, that's the closest things to the ps plus and ps4 situation, and again don't say "Sony being scummy" even Nintendo and Microsoft does this, it's not fair to just say that Sony it's the scummy one, hell Microsoft it's even worst because they've been the first one to do so.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2176475#Comment_2176475

My example is about paying for the phone to use the SIM card you already paid for. You're the one bringing up Internet connection, for some reason. Again, read more carefully. See the words I used? Where do I even say the words "Internet" or "connection" in that comment?

Because that the closest things to the playstation plus, so getting to your logic, you pay for the phone [that's like the console] , and then at least in my country, you pay for the SIM [in some way and by your logic it's the game] (not considering offert or things like this) and for it to be usable with an internet connection, you either brought a wifi connection at home (which restrict you) of paying monthly for an internet connection [aka the playstation plus] by putting it like this your logic make zero sense, again, I'm not against what you said about the ps plus (even tho it have some pretty good upside, like two/three game free every month, which it's pretty good)

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/247964/i-think-clown-is-really-good

I'd still call him the worst killer, sadly. I've always been a big fan of his zoning playstyle but he's still pretty meh.

No mobilty, reloads, even when played optimally with his bottles you'll still do worse than a Freddy or a Huntress even with her reloads. He's also kinda boring long term, his playstyle is pretty much identical to how you use Freddy's snares but with less payoff.

Also, word of advice, yellow bottles are a trap, don't use them. No matter what the desperate "HES GOOD NOW I SWEAR" Clown mains on here try to tell you. They've been tricked by the placebo from that 10% boost (10% is nothing at pallet loops as long as killer hitboxes make them take longer paths).

It was a really pathetic addition to him considering how long they teased those buffs.

Still worse than Legion imo and that says something.

That's why you use yellow bottle with purple bottle, and i honestly think he's chasing potential it's slightly better than Freddy one, of course if used correctly he can take hit that Freddy could only dream (yes the pun was 100% intendent) of course, Freddy have more that go for him the teleport mainly (and for Freddy we need to consider the fact that he's an m1 killer when people are awake) so yeah that's it, i don't think he's the worst killer in the game (plus legion it's not even that bad, not good, but not too bad) i think the trapper it's still the worst.

  • @IWasLeft2Die said:

He has a fee different issues imo.

-first, yellow bottles just aren't that useful. Too situational (mostly when you carry a survivor) and has high potential to counter yourself and buff survivors.

-he has the least lethal ranged attack while everyone else's can do actual damage

-he takes a good bit of effort to down a single survivor while other ranged killers can multitask more.

-he can have more downtime in comparison to other killers since you typically want to reload after each hook or down but you'll often have to reload mid chase.

-he doesn't have much natural pressure capabilities like most other killers.

    - his addons overall are pretty lackluster

I mained him for a long time but don't use him much since he has a lot to be desired and I was very disappointed in His rework

The yellow bottle are actually really good in chase, throw one on yourself, and the purple bottle in the other side of the loop, 90% of the time, it's a hit that most killer will only dream, for the ranged stuff, he's really not a ranged killer, he's a chaser slowdown killer (similar to doctor and Freddy for example) and he have some really amazing add on: the add on that give you more bottle, the iridescent pinky finger that make him actually a mid to high tier killer, the cigar bottle that give you wallhack when you use a yellow bottle, and overall a lot of helpfull addon the one that was considered good (the reload time, and the throw cooldown one) are now less good.

For the rest, i agree with you.

  • @TOEz_LOVER said:

I had a great idea for trickster while shitting

It may be bad or op I will leave that to you

    Laceration rework:

    - Laceration progression doesn't go away

    - survivors have to remove the knives by performing in action (requires skillchecks)

    - Laceration meter has a percentage from 0 to 100%

    - if a survivor has 95% to 50% percent Laceration they can't do gens

-45 to 10 survivor noises are louder

    - performing an action like (unhooking, sabotaging, openingchests, healing, cleansing a totem, repairing)while Laceration is on you it will increase by 5% the increase will happen every 5 secs of the action.

(Like getting cut by the broken glass in your body)

If a survivor's meter reaches a 100 by the Laceration effect (not by throwing) they go down (even if healthy)and the trickster gets a scream like notification and the normal Laceration meter sound

Failing a skill check (any skill check Laceration, repairing etc) will increase the meter by 10%

The reason for the rework:trickster has no map pressure even if you are a god gens will fly and most of your knives are worthless because they go away.

What's your opinion on this (sorry if I wrote something wrong English is not my first language)

I like everything beside the "if the laceration meters arrive to 100% they will go down even if healthy" i think they should just be damaged with one health state. And another question, this will simply be a plus to his current power right?

Hell, I hardly know how to beat a hag - I just try to mess with their traps as much as I can and hope my teammates can pick up the slack

Nurse being the worst killer in the game.

Data only tells part of the story, but it certainly doesn't tell you the whole story. I'd like to see the same data they have but when you only look at the top .1% of killers playing against the top .1% of survivors.

This is a good point, I don't see how the totem counter would really add that much impact to the game for solos? If anything I could see it hurting them (4 gens left, 4 totems cleansed must find the last totem and not do the gen cuz i'm scared of noed that might not even exist) -- I just don't see how knowing how many totems are left for solo or swf is a massive balance indifference or whatever people are trying to spin it into. Solo survivors don't die because they don't know how many totems are left, adding a totem counter would do absolutely nothing when there's actual legitimate issues with solo survivor (like matchmaking, lack of in-depth tutorials, etc.)

Exactly, like when people say "now without small game, in a map like lerys, it's gonna be almost impossible to find the totem because, now i don't know how much totem are left" like, without some sort of help or luck even with a totem counter, you will not be able to find them in a reasonable amount of time, and detective hunch it's still a lot better than small game, because you can see every totem in the map, and you should have a good idea how many totem are left.

However, i agree with you, the game to be enjoyable for soloq, don't need a totem counter, or kindred base kit, or crap like this, they need other basic stuff, like making the matchmaking actually put rank 1 people, with rank 1 people, that know how to play the game, a tutorial that explain the basic of looping.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2165533#Comment_2165533

or it's showing that the devs won't stick to their promise of buffing solos in a meaningful way but keep being the reason the game won't get balanced x

Guess what you could have all the information in the world, solo will still be #########, when they will fix the matchmaking so everyone it's at the same level, then solo will be a good experience, even if they decided to add something like a totem counter base kit, that would be a bandage fix, because it doesn't do ANYTHING at soloq, because the main reason why it's not a good experience to play soloq it's the teammates, I'm 100% sure that soloq don't need info stuff base kit, soloq need a matchmaking optimization.

The #########- how small game help swf? They can just run detective hunch, and someone can just remember the number of totem that he clensed, and when a teammate cleanse he just say "i clensed a totem" like swf will not use this perk, ever.

Totally agree about Billy. I'd be happy with low A or high B, but C tier?! No no no.

I trust Otz and I agree with most of the placements here, but Plague A tier with Freddy B and Billy C just feels off to me. I do feel Demo is underrated by the community, but Freddy and Demo in the same tier feels crazy.

I'd probably go with Freddy A, Wraith B, Demo C, Plague C. Legion above five killers with only common add-ons just seems wrong to me too, but I'm not sure I'd want to move anyone else to C. Mayyyyyybe Clown or Pig? I'd probably just stick with a six-killer D tier.

If she's new/bad, stridor can be an handicap since it make even regular breathing, and injured sound, louder in general, you can double back for example, or going into a place with line of sight blocker, sometimes they will think your right in front of them and they will sto phasing, when in reality your on the other side of the wall.

So, I am on console, and we do experience frame rate drops on every action that any survivor takes, so there's that. Dead Hard seems to be the most disruptive frame rate dropping action in the game. I'll revise this from hacking to "an unfair exploit" because it's a perk that will cause the killers frame rate to drop. It's like getting hit with Smash Hit in the open field. I also suspect that players know this and run it for that reason. Im obviously annoyed my game freezes when someone vaults a window or drops a pallet, but that's whatever, it seems more fair than someone equipping a perk that gives them a speed burst and nukes my frame rate.

If the game wasn't in crossplay i would maybe say you're right, but now it's, so the player that will use it, are probably pc player, that want simply use dead hard, so it's not an unfair exploit, it's just bad optimization, even tho i play in ps4 and i never saw something like this, but i take your words for true.

Nope, i remember him being pretty ######### silent, at least i remember this way, it could even be me being high as ######### tho, i don't play a lot this game anymore, and i don't play a lot of Jake, so i could be mistaken.

  • Well it give you a small advantage SOMETIMES female in this game are more quite, the sound when they're injured and stuff like that aren't too loud. But a lot of male have the same things, Ace, Dwight for example, or Jake that is the quietest survivor in the game, but at the end of the day, the advantage its just minimum.

    Yep.

SWF can say "there's a trap (here)" over comms.

Solo should be able to use things like Glass Bead more often for a similar effect. I wouldn't say base kit, but it's wasted being such a niche add-on for maps that rarely get used as it is. At least by making it default for all maps, you don't need to worry about it as an add-on.

If they buff trapper accordingly, I'm fine with it, for me it would be quite stupid, honestly, the only things that they should do for soloq it's actually fixing matchmaking so your not with potato, and for the things you said about swf, since the game its pretty fast pace, they could forget that information after a while, for whatever reason, they've been chased for example, but that add on remain there, so you would 100% be sure that there's something there, of course if your on soloq it could be anything, Still i think buffing map, could be problematic, they destroy some killer power completely, or simply make them a lot less effective.

  • @Seraphor said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2127173#Comment_2127173

I don't think it necessarily means more chat functions, there can be gameplay tools to emulate communication, that SWFs would have no need for.

I've suggested the following ideas, maybe not all of these at once, and maybe the Glass Bead one would still be an overall buff for SWFs too, but still, it's ideas:

    1. Survivors can view each others perks and item loads outs in the lobby, so they know the capabilities of their team mates.
    2. Survivors can press a button to trigger a pre-set map-wide message, something like "Killer is here", "Coast is clear", "Help me", "Leave me". In addition, have this 'ping' in their direction so you know where the message is coming from. Maybe with a 30s cooldown.
    3. Make the 'Glass Bead' add-on a default mechanic of all maps.
    4. Make something 'like' Kindred/Empathy/Bond a basekit feature. Perhaps you can hold down a button to trigger 'Survivor Instinct' which gives you a general direction that each survivor is in via the 'heartbeat' graphic of Killer Instinct. Give it a cooldown obviously. This wouldn't be an aura so not technically as strong as Kindred etc.

I mean, some of this changes will kill trapper even more, the glass bead add on its the one that make you point things to all your team with a beacon of light, right?

  • @Stryker said:

happend to me today, i went against a SWF(3 people), 2 of them were 3-4 red rank, and 1 rank 13 (with good addons), and yeah, it was extremely painful and unfun(...was using a trickster with 3 bad perks...).

SWF is unfair, because this game isn't balanced at all and it can't be competitive due to many, many problems( such as lightining that changes when you lower the graphic, and putting it on the lowest setting, the game becomes very bright, and not everyone knows this thing, so, if you play a sa killer without knowing this, you basically get a minor handicap.....)

remove SWF? no....but make an option that allows the killers to avoid SWF players.

As a killer, no, i don't want to waste 20 minutes with queue, and if you just don't go against SWF, you will always be bad.

Slow down the game. And make generators take longer. Rather it's repair times. Or finding multiple parts to fix generators. Right now you can take your first chase and lose 1-2 gens before your first hook. There's a reason killers hook camp and slug.

Also maybe weakening places like shack. Or double L and T windows...Or lessening window blocking to 2 vaults.

Other then that.. Nothing..Killer is inherently stressful if you let it be. You have to know where 4 survivors are at any time...Which gens to pressure..When to slug..Paying attention to survivors and their tendencies to see which mind games may work, etc etc. It's a LOT to process

Nah both shack and L T walls aren't as dangerous, they're just okay mostly, just start to mind game it.

If playing the game as intended is intense to you, maybe your playing at an overly relaxed level that is indirectly hurting the others around you~

This game its intended to be played casually- so i think it's you that are hurting yourself by taking it too seriously

Teabagging has been done for years in games to show that someone is better than another. It was very prominent in Halo 3. God, I love that game. It's the same here. Show's the person is better than another. Never changed.

Imagine showing "you're better than the other" by repeatedly pressi ctrl.

  • I mean, you didn't said anything, you just said "the game its killer sided" without saying why or anything, so, my respond its pretty fair.

They game is heavily killer sided. But the killer mains usually claim it is survivor sided. Why is that? I think I finally figured it out after a Legion decimated all four Survivors and he scored three times as many bloodpoints. He admitted his hits were trash and it was game flaws which allowed him to take us all out, but then he goes on to claim the game is biased against killers.

When you show them the fact killers almost always score more and usually kill more than half the survivors they believe the game is survivor sided but they actually believe they are just so skilled that they are able to win even though the odds are against them in their minds. They will never admit the game's flaws serve the killers more than the survivors because they believe it is their skill which allows them to win over and over again.
