I consider everything that is not used as core options in championship a "low tier". It depends on person vision, like how a "win" depends as well, some main killers consider 2k a win, some dont.

So 90% of the killer roster its low tier for you? Okay i guess

Hot take- killers should be balanced around Pyramid Head where some killers could use some nerfs, a lot could use some buffs, and be designed to be a little more unique like he is. I think he is still a trong killer but not broken and plays unique enough that is fun for both sides

I never been a huge fan of, balancing things around one character (that's why i don't really like streat fighter, everyone it's balanced around Ryu, which it's annoying since i hate that character) but that could probably work

Yeah he does scare me the most despite a few killers being better typically. With someone like spirit I'm just like "okay... I'm probably going to die. Oh well" where as Pyramid Head toes a fine line of hope/hopelessness and is one of the most menacing killers imo (Oni is also terrifying)

Me too, that's why i like to face him, and oni over spirit and nurse, because if they're good, then I'm dead, if they're bad, then I'm gonna escape, in both this situation it will he a quick match.

If the survivors are good and know how to counter twins. The twins suck and there's nothing you can do using them lol.

If that's your opinion, hope for you to go against some good twins, some really good twins, so you will know what they can do.

Yeah definetly not low tier. He isn't the best but definitely top 25%

A good pyramid head its probably one of the scarier things in dbd, but i stil prefer him over deathslinger

  • @TrapperU said:

I really like to play Pyramid/Trapper and I would like to play Trickster but he is far too unviable.

Until you run in to survivors who are equally as good or better. And know how to deal with the twins. Then the twins are underwhelming and a joke

Nah, they're quite good if you onor what your doing, the amount of slugging potential that Viktor have its kinda ridiculous, of course it require Charlotte to injure someone first, but the first hit it always the easier part, getting a down its the harder part which Viktor do incredibly good.

  • @Beelzeboop said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2133589#Comment_2133589

It takes months to become even close to functional as Twins, and they're getting nerfed soon. Pretty much only the scummiest tactics available actually work on Twins. Victor's pounce is too hard to actually hit a survivor with unless you're at point blank range, and even if you hit, you get significantly less reward for it than just M1ing the survivor. Plus, Victor can be taken out extraordinarily easily. There's a reason that everyone was impressed when ClownIsKing came up with a valid strategy for them other than camping, tunneling and slugging.

Trickster is overwhelming in one specific situation, worthless in pretty much all others. The fact that he needs to be at close range, moves at 110%, and his power slows him down functionally makes him a particularly bad M1 killer in most scenarios. He's either garbage or beyond god tier in any given scenario, with nothing in between. There's a reason no one likes to play as him or against him.

Trapper basically throws the early game in order to collect and set up traps that barely work and can be disabled and/or escaped from in seconds with no consequences unless the Trapper is running Bloody Coil. Plus, he relies entirely on survivors being absolute potatoes to even fall into his traps. If anything, its more likely for HIM to step in a bear trap than the survivors, and that basically pallet stuns him. There's a reason he's universally agreed to be the worst killer in the game.

Have you even played killer? Or even survivor, for that matter?

A good twins deny loop really easily, you vault a window, a good Viktor will hit you, once you get the snowball rolling, the twins become the most oppressive killer in the game, the power that they have, do everything expect actually hinder them (unless you use it badly, and then every killer power if used badly don't help you) if you injured two person with Charlotte, and your good with Viktor, this are two down, even back to back, and survivor that from healthy become injured, they can be punished easily, but that's pretty much every killer.

The trickster will get a down as long as he have line of sight, when stuff it's putted between you and the killer it's extremely hard for him to get more that one or two knife, but that still pretty helpful, a good trickster will probably get a down in 90% of the situation, sure, they will get age to do so, but they will, so again his power don't hinder him his power have a lot of problem, but those help him.

For trapper, well, it depends, if it's a good map for the trapper, than it become kinda problematic to deal with him, and his power can be used in chases, you set down a trap at a pallet, and that pallet its gone until the trap it's up, or you can fake it and catch up to the survivor, plus if you do know where's the strongest tile, he can shut them completely, his problem it's having a lot of counter, dead hard, maps, detective hunch, small game for now (but it will get change so it will not count), being add on reliant, you need to at least use a yellow bag to do good with him.

No killer get hindred by his power, surely, there's some power that are worst than others, the only thing that was close at being bad for the killer, was Ghostface in ptb, and not because it was hurting him, but because he was literally a trapper without trap.

And also saying "do you play any killer? Or survivor for that matter?" it's really a childish way for an argument, you was going to be more mature without that, not like a care what a stranger in the internet say, but that was stupid and not necessary in my opinion, but do whatever you want.

I kinda wish they'd nerf these "100% blood point bonus" perks and spread that bonus out a bit.

WGLF should really only give +100% blood points in the Altruism category or something.

Likewise, BBQ should give +100% in the Sacrifice category.

Give more +100% bonuses to other perks for different categories, and if you want the full +100% across the board, you gotta use four perks for it.

This game its already grindy as #########, we don't need to it to be even more grindy

  • @QwQw said:

The game can't be imbalanced if both sides get removed from the game.

Problem solved. Now no one complains.

    ah yes the negotiator

  • I think it's bannable, you're bodyblocking the survivor there, and the only way he could do something it's dc, you should not do that again.

  • @Beelzeboop said:

You gotta love how the Twins are one of three killers whose powers are actively detrimental to them, the other two being Trickster and Trapper, the worst killers in the game.

Victor is just an M1 killer but somehow weaker. Charlotte is literally just an M1 killer. The only thing they can really do that no other killer can do (and do better) is bodyblock.

Dude the twins can be quite insane with someone that's good, Viktor it's fast as #########, and can down multiple people. Trickster guarantee a down in short loop. How the trapper power hurt him? In the worst case scenario, it's not that useful, but hurting him? Feels strange to me

  • @Alice_pbg said:

others already said it, but I'm going to aswell.

this isn't pay to win. you don't need the DLCs to play this game at it's highest levels. and the best characters are free or getable with shards.

that said... the grind is INSANE. and something really should be done to help it.

like, getting 2 perks every bloodweb. every single one.

the bloodpoint effects of WGLF and BBQ are now base.

shards in the free track of the rift. enough for 1 character at least.

shrine of secrets with double the perks. but not random anymore, on rotation.

Honestly i agree with what you said, expect the shrine, the only think that they should do for the shrine, it's to not spawn perk from free character there, i think for the rest it's a fine sistem

My team all escaped vs his huntress a few months ago. We didn't need 3 objects or anything like that lol I think we only had 1 DS and no unbreakables either.

And they we're in one of the most survivor sided Maps so yeah

#3 was Rotten Fields as Plague and he got a 3K. Not exactly a loss now is it?

This title gets an F from me.

Also Otz doesn't really main anyone and is more focused on helping everyone else get good at the game, or going off and trying to find what works best on all the killers. He's more of a jack of all trades kind of guy IMO. I don't really consider him to be that incredible mechanics-wise, nor do I expect him to be (that's not meant to be offensive, that's just how specializing vs not specializing generally works). Super coordinated SWFs that only play survivor and run meta builds should beat him reliably, unless they aren't playing in full optimal tryhard mode.

In the second he two hokked everybody, if he found someone that he two hokked before someone else, everything would be different, he just got unlucky, that was a really close match.

Okay, then that’s my bad. But the point I was making still stands and it’s still bannable. A killer body blocking a survivor all game isn’t simply the survivor being outplayed. If that was the case, the killer wouldn’t get banned for it? This TTV guy is just incredibly biased and has the most outlandish views on everything so I’m done speaking to somebody who’s below me in every sense of the word.

I agree with this, the only think that was incorrect was how you called it, it's bannable for a reason, it's being a ######### ######### person, there's no outplay, and I agree with you on that.

  • @Bangarang said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2121746#Comment_2121746

It’s nothing to do with my ego? And this hasn’t actually ever happened to me. So stop assuming as you know what happens then. The moderators and the developers have said this is bannable. So how is that simply the killer ‘owning’ the survivors?! Please just say you’re a troll and leave.

If a killer blocks a survivor into a corner ALL GAME and refuses to let them participate in the match, they are being sandbagged as they’re unable to move. I’m literally repeating what the people who made this game have said. So maybe let them educate you a bit. 😘

Your right, expect that this's called bodyclocking not sandbagging, so your also wrong, he's right that only survivor can sandbag, the killer can bodyblock survivor into a corner and don't make them play, which is bannable but it's not sandbagging

Every killer has MORE than enough chase and map pressure potential it's just that you'd be hard pressed to find people who are good enough to actually perform at top level on anything other than nurse / spirit / blight and hag.

I'm very comfortable on every killer vs any team on any map. There are also a few other killers who can make cases for non spirit / nurse killers as well.

No? Clown have no map pressure and only a mediocre, at best, chase, he can't beat a really good SWF simply because, you can drop the pallet, and boom, you countered clown congratulations, even with his yellow bottle in conjunction with purple bottle, when he try to set it up, just leave the tile, a good survivor completely demolish a good clown, and for the the legion it's the same things, for legion to win the survivor have to consistently make mistake, or going into a map with 7 pallet *COUGH* suffocation pit *COUGH* trickster it's juts, a budget huntress as much as i like him, you just think "okay how i counter huntress" and your fine, don't go in short loops, but only in loops with big ass wall, and don't leave him line of sight, he will not down you in a reasonable amount of time, and all of the survivor are pressing M1 on gen.

And since your talking about tournament, at the last round of a tournament some mad lad decide to use pyramid head, he was incredible good, and yet, he just lost, pyramid head have the chase, but not the mobility to pressure gens. And i can go on with every weak killer, they can't win against coordinated team that use meta perk, that will never happen

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2120584#Comment_2120584

It's killer sided with EVERY killer. The reason people need to play nurse or spirit is player skill. Not that the survivors are better than the killer players, it just has a better reward to effort ratio survivor side. I don't think there are any teams right now that I cannot beat with every killer and I know Ryuga at least has talked about most killers being comp viable. Death slinger and blight in particular have been getting a lot of attention from multiple teams.

No, not all the killer are comp viable, if they don't have chase potential, they're not comp viable, nurse and spirit are the only one that can beat really good tournament player, and that's a fact that almost all the community agree with, try to beat a good tournament team with pig, clown, legion or trickster, than tell me that every killer is comp viable.

If you need to use one of the worst strategies in the game to get a 4k as a killer, they are not decent in my opinion. Second, I agree with you about Pig.

If we talk about design, your right, and slugging it's not that bad of a strat honestly, but if we talk how viable they're, your not right, a good twins it's ######### awful to go against, unless you enjoy staying three minutes in the ground

I think this game is killer sided period, including against SWFs. BUT I think it's so hard to prove it (and takes so much skill on the killers side) that it might as well be survivor sided. every killer can win, it's just WAY harder so survivor usually does well in practice.

So killer sided that in tournament if someone didn't use spirit or nurse they just loose

Until the patch it's live they're not, plus until that time everything could change, if they simply make it its only for misses Viktor ponce, they would still be strong imo

  • @ChurchofPig said:

Personally for me I think he's much better than he was. My whole problem with Trickster (as a console player) was that recoil. Once they weakened the recoil effect, he became a much better killer to play, at least for me. For the people saying he's better than Pig, I will discuss that with you in the parking lot lmao. On a serious note, I think Pig is still stronger than Trickster. I think the Award for Worst Killer in Dead by Daylight can return to Twins now.

First of all the twins aren't the worst killer in the game, by a long shot, if played as a slugging machine they're pretty decent. And comparing pig with trickster, as always been kinda stupid, they're so different like day and night, plus, pig it's not as weak as people think, she's on the weaker side, but not bad honestly, but it could be my biases as a pig main lol.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/243605/how-you-buff-pig

    • Normalize RNG for traps for example, pig has 4 traps, each 1 should take 1, 2, 3, and 4 box searches to remove. I.E
    • 1 trap always comes off with 1 search
    • 1 trap comes off with 2 searches
    • 1 with 3 searches
    • 1 with 4 searches
    • Randomize the order of the traps that are placed.

This makes it so, on average, the RNG is much more fair within a game. You won't have games where all 4 traps are removed in the first search, and you won't have games where all 4 traps aren't removed until the 4th search.

    After that.

Make the dash charge speed and the crouching speed addons basekit.

That' would work, but she have a set of add on that make impossible to search all the boxes and not die

Well DS can still act as a second chance perk in say endgame. You are unhooked, the killer tunnels you when you try to run to the exit gate and then the killer gets hit with DS. Deliverance is a bit tricky to activate, but it is still a second chance perk. Unbreakable is hard to activate but it still gives survivors a second chance. Dead hard is definitely a second chance perk though.

I mean, if there was more than one survivor at the end game collapse you probably lost anyway, ds or no ds, for deliverance it's a perk that reward you for well saving a teammate, which it's enough for me to not consider it a second chance perk, and if you use it as a second chance perk (doing a risky save to get it to work) then the killer can just, down the unhooked guy, for UB, it's extremely situational, but can save your team, before when old ds still was well... old ds i considered UB a second chance perk, now it's just, something to use if the killer let you bleed out for 4 minutes, or if it's q slugging killer

  • @Altarf said:

    https://youtu.be/Dw-fSvsbm4E

As you can see here, you can no longer infect the exit gate switches. Why was this done? It's not like Plague is a particularly strong killer, and this strategy needs good timing and one survivor left to work, and can be countered by simply being infected beforehand to not tell Plague your location. It's just like Trapper putting a trap down at the exit gates - but more counterable.

You know that this could be a bug? If it not written in the patch notes it probably is

The situations where that comes into play are so few to the point of barely being worth mentioning. Especially since people already jump in lockers or pair up.

That's still 8 meters more of vulnerability, and i saw so many times survivor that couldn't barely kick Viktor because too far, now this will not happen, it's ######### bad, you did good and the game its like "you know what you downed him, now stand still for five second #########"

  • @MadLordJack said:

Their snowball potential is almost completely unnaffected. Either the survivors had paired up and you were going to get kicked anyway, or... you spend 2 extra seconds doing nothing as a killer that moves as 6.0m/s?

And since dbd it's a game about second, that two second are incredible impactfull, again, the bad thighs it's getting punished for using they power and playing twins correctly, aka slugging, it's like if oni loosed all his power after downing someone and got into a fatigue, this's the exact same things for the twins

  • @MadLordJack said:

No, before survivor could kick Viktor at roughly 16 meters now it's 20 meters or more, so if someone it's far away and see Viktor down someone, they can run and kick him, thing that they couldn't do before, and that's ######### bad, twins already have a lot of requirements, they don't need more it's just stupid, they can't slug as effectively, since they can be stopped a lot easier than before.

Victor can still go on a slugging spree when he hits.

The 5 second window only comes in when he misses.

    Right?

Currently it's always, if it was when missing that's good, if the ptb thing it's a bug then no problem, but if that's going to be live, bye twins

  • @Zozzy said:

Twins needed something else. Kicking victor is such a pointless thing to do with such a short cooldown as punishment. They should have given 20 seconds downtime to victor respawning if you kick him.

No power for 20 second seems so awful, like really awful, if you kick Viktor and your far away you're safe for so much again pretty pointless as a nerf

  • @MadLordJack said:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the only nerf that The Twins received a 2 second increase on Victor's pounce attack cooldown?

Also, 2 add-on buffs and a QoL fix?

I didnt even think about that,,,they could run the baddy from the new Resident Evil Village which would make players want to buy that game too,,,win win for DBD and Capcom.

Yes that's why i think it's pretty good possibility, but again, I'll be fine with anything honestly, if i can play with a ######### killing machine (whenever it would be Jack backer, nemesis, lady demestrecu, or Mr X) I'm happy

I mean it's within reason enough that I could be wrong, but I really don't think it will be anyone from RE7 or RE8 unless that is all Capcom was willing to let them use.

Because DBD has always been about cementing the iconic not the newest. The most Iconic things in resident evil are primarily In the earlier games. Things like Nemesis, Mr. X, Jill, Leon, Claire, etc....

That's true, but I'm open for anything, again whatever they put into this dlc, i will be happy i love almost all the RE villain, and I'll buy this DLC 100% not even

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Tyrant / Mr.X is the most likely.

I don't see them adding a guy with a rocket launcher to the game. I guess it could be weaponless nemesis but I mean at that point, just use Mr. X.

Anything but newer game stuff, I don't want Re7 or 8 anything really.

Probably, but the problem with Mr. X, it's just, he don't have a lot of sense outside the RE lore, since he's just a weapon controlled by an organization, so it wouldn't have any reason to be in the entity realm, while both Jack baker and lady demestrecu are Individuals, so it would be easier to put them in the game, and gave them a good power.

We're talking about behavior tho, anything could happen

  • @sesawyer3127 said:
