I assume the best players will be playing 4-man SWF. So you can never be on their team. So you get stuck with the riff raff haha.
Fair enough. But why do I not get to play against the riff raff as Killer?

If i remember right, twins were the 0.68% of the killer playerbase
My apologies to the 4th Twins player.

No, as it would be the same as giving survivors the option to dodgr certain killers, its a position of entitlement, if you lose then get better do not ask for others experiences to be hindered just to habe easier matches, not every match can go as you want it to.
Not wanting to bullied by coordinated Survivors in a game that was built for solo Survivors is entitlement? Give me a break.

DBD please add this option, i'd rather wait 30 mins then deal with SWF on unbalanced survivor game.
Check this video out and then tell me in comments how game is Killer sided or balanced
An option to avoid SWF will never happen. It would make queues way too long and SWF have to be huge buyers of cosmetics. Who else is buying bright hair?
An option to see if you played against SWF and a BP bonus would be nice.

I'm sure all the blights, nurses, and twins would love that feature....as they never get another match again.
Twins? Why Twins? I'm sure all 3 Twins players will be devastated.

Whilst all the suggestions of the perks are great, individual playstyle really does need to be taken into consideration for this type of challenge and perks that work with that playstyle are likely to be better.
Whilst yes, there's definitely perks that help you avoid the killer - there's no point in using those perks if you're not going to play super stealthily (I can't play stealthily for example so I use perks that help my particular playstyle). Organically if you are losing that many matches, your MMR will drop and you'll find yourself being matched against (and with) players more of your skill level which will give you more opportunity to escape your matches.
Losing MMR and getting bad teammates is way more detrimental than getting a low MMR Killer is beneficial.
-
They need consistency. I've had zombies camping gens multiple times resulting in being a game changer. Often times they are useless.
-
You guys get to choose what time of day you play?
-
They did indeed change it. I remember going through the sweaters thinking it was a plus that bright ribcage wasn't on the back of Claudette's.
Edit: While I was looking at it for this post, I accidently went into a game with it. Wow is it bright.

It gets people on gens, but it also makes them leave the gen and run a quarter of the way across the map halfway through, so I wouldn't call it ideal.
Also, yeah, I'm seeing a lot of ignored hooks because people want to max the event more than they want to survive.
Certainly better that no one doing gens at all. The leaving and coming back is having gens go at a much more reasonable rate. It seems you either have potatoes not doing gens or a team focused on gens. First goes too slow and the other speeds the game up too fast. This appears to be a good middle ground.

As the title says, the new Jane and Dwight cosmetics were released with the advertising that they will be "available until November 3rd". Event cosmetics are one thing, but these are just store-bought cosmetics (which are not licensed, yet are still Auric Cells-only, contrary to the announcement that non-licensed cosmetics in the future would all have Shards available as an option).
Is this an indicator of things to come? Are we going to be pressured into FOMO purchases aside from the Rift?
Multiple threads have been made like this with no response from BHVR.

I dont really know how to put this, but Im stuck in a situation that is VERY difficult to get out of.
I recently got a PC and swapped from PS4 to PC (leaving stuff behind obviously), as a result, getting a new account (through Steam) basically has me at bedrock MMR, paired with brand new players that just hide the entire game.
Most matches result in me completing 3-4 generators and dying on first hook by either getting face-camped for running the killer too well (therefore teammates do not try to save me out of fear) or my teammates would rather continue hiding instead of going for the save.
Im stuck in a situations where I do everything yet never escape, and my teammates do nothing and also never escape.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ACDMD85NI69C/screenshot-2848-29.png
In this example, my only decent teammate was the Yui, they lasted pretty long in chase and did generators. My two other teammates hid for the entire match and both were producing constant noise notifications from having 3 AFK crows on them.
Also, I had spectated a match that lasted until the servers closed due to a prolonged time limit... 2 people were hiding from the start of the match FOR THE FULL MATCH TIMER (basically taking the game hostage for the killer as well).
This picture has to be the best representation of SoloQ I have seen. I described literally this exact scene a few days ago.

Yes! Not only is it a great perk, it gives you so much information. Lethal Pursuer is pretty common these days, you know they have it instantly and can plan accordingly. Just one example.

We had in-game news at the time with regards to cross progression and also the Stranger Things removals - so we did reach out to players, it was also across all our social media channels advising players and directing to our blogposts and FAQ's on this matter.
There is also a direct link in game to the forum and to the customer support website.
I'm sure contracts regarding licensed characters are quite complex. That said, I sure some other compensation could be offered other than "we told you so."
People are seeing Stranger Things on the box. Are you suggesting we research every facet of the games we purchase. That is an unreasonable burden on your customers.
-
What an excellent guide. I've been playing this game for awhile and you gave me some stuff to think about.

No Mither, Self-Care, Inner Healing, and Overcome.
Edit: Here's a serious one I like. Head On, Parental Guidance, Windows, and By Any Means Necessary.

What's it like to play Killer and not have 2 gens pop by the time you get your first down?

Don’t expect a response before they even officially announce what kind of time limit it actually is. We have only seen the info in the trailer but nothing more. And as this seems to be a very controversial topic in the community they won’t give an answer without having higher ups/marketing/sales etc greenlight it
Why wouldn't they? They read every post and this is an issue of much concern in the community.

It's probably a strategy to get people to play. Limited time frame to get these cosmetics so better get on the game and play.
More likely to get people to buy skins under pressure before they are gone for good. That said, I'm interested in a response.

I rather doubt that most players have put hundreds of dollars into the game, much less on cosmetics, but I very much would like to hear BHVR's reasoning for this.
There has been plenty of sales. But this game retailed at full price. If you have been playing for awhile, you have likely been buying 6-10 dollar chapters every few months. Plus paying for cosmetics and battle passes.

Legion, Legion, LEGION!
Can't stand playing against them. Spend a significant percentage of the match mending. Terribly designed.

Not trying to disregard the OP feeling about game experience but if you complain about 360's, then most matches will seem like a bully squad to you.
The only advice is to play & get more experience, nothing else.
That's the nature of most online games that are around for years, you can't expect to jump in and destroy opponents right away.
Missed the part where anyone was complaining of 360s. That is not a bully squad.

Everyone and their mother loves finding things out so i'll probably be the only one thinking this, but i loved WAY back in the beginning of DbD when the Killer stories were very short, just a paragraph or 3.
They felt like old folklores, a scary story you'd overhear from crazy-looking people in a pub.
"Man i swear it! I walked by that ol' cornfield where that family disappeared and the animals died and right as i passed it i heard a chainsaw and the corn rustlin'."
Often when it comes to horror, less is more.

Because MMR is easier to gain as killer than survivor.
With survivor, when you get awful teammates, your chance of escaping is quite low, which means you decrease your MMR, which means you get paired with even worse people. Rinse and repeat. I feels if SBMM was really under-looked by BHVR, there are so many loopholes you can abuse and so many awful things with it.
I've played maybe 10 Killer games over the past 6 months. Every single time I go against skilled Survivors and get at absolute best a 2K, usually 1 or 0K. No way that is increasingly my MMR.
-
If you run the Killer for a long time and when you are downed, you see no one is on gens. 2 are crouching for no reason, one just jumped in a locker...
-
Given how low effort the Plague's is, I don't see why they wouldn't.
-
Really not cool. FOMO is exactly what it is. So common these days. I suspect this is just beginning of BHVR pulling this.

I just started playing killer since yesterday I bought the Artist. Today was my try-out day. I've only played 4 games with her and in one game there were 2 level 10 prestiges. I only had two perk slots unlocked. I'm also Ash IV on killer and will be playing whenever there is killer incentive to learn it a bit better. I though I'd be matched against people who are closer to my skill level lol.
And I also played a lot of survivor today and the games were full of bad decisions, both from me and my teammates. And it's pretty common to get at least one newbie on my team when I'm playing solo.
I don't understand this either, there probably is no matchmaking. It's the only way this makes sense.
Seriously. Why do I not get the potatoes I get teamed with as Killer? When I am Killer I usually get the other Survivors doing gens while I am in chase with one. In SoloQ they are mostly Safe Caring, hiding in a locker, crouching for no reason, and going down 3 seconds after the chase starts.
-
He's highly dependent on locker spawns. Tough to want to play a Killer when you don't know if the map is going to help or screw you over.

People need to be tolerant or mature enough to take a "gg wp" for what it is and dont overthink an ulterior evil mastermind motive behind it.
And if you truly cannot muster any tolerance at all, then for your own mental sanity you should avoid reading the endgame chat
Great comment!

Maybe not in extreme circumstances, but what it does feel like is politeness. You know, a little bit of sympathy for a game that was over super quickly.
I dunno, I don't like assuming the worst of people. I'd rather think it's an attempt at polite sportsmanship than an attempt at mockery.
It may be polite but it is still disingenuous. If the game was close, that is one thing. If the Killer won with 0 gens done or Survivors escaped without a single hook, it was obviously not "well played" by the losing side.
-
@jesterkind said:
Oh, I always see that as more of a polite thing. I can win decisively and the other side can play well, those two aren't mutually exclusive, and I personally feel like acknowledging your opponent's skill is the polite and sportsmanlike response to a win.
A good old "gg wp" is what I want to see when I lose, I wanna see someone win with grace.
If you got destroyed you often did not play well, nor did your team. It's like immediately getting knocked out in a boxing match. Does it feel sincere if your opponent says "well fought"?

Maybe it's just me but I'm not a fan of Killers that ignore parts of the game. Nurse is obviously the biggest offender, but Spirit is up there.

I feel like adding this now would cause massive balancing nightmares.

Clown too high, Twins too low. Pretty good overall though.

Had two Fengs in my match, this was like last year, but they both went on the same generator as me, and they both used Technician and purposely missed skill-checks to regress my generator down to 0%. Then they both sandbagged me during my chase and got me killed, never in my life I had felt such hatred for Fengs in my life.
Fortunately haven't run across malicious Survivors. I'd remember that for an entire year as well.
