hell yeah

Because their former main "billy" was gutted and now a few switched to Blight.
Billy mains are either sweat lords or quite nice and really good at the game.
-
I mean, that's up to you.
Do you really want the cosmetics?
Do you play a lot every day? If so, play as much as u can then last day if u really want it, buy it all. Saves you some $
BESIDES ! Page 3 and 4 of the tome are yet to be unlocked.
From what I've seen, and some complains, i don't think it's possible to reach max rank if you complete all challenges.

Get a grip on reality survivors, generators were never real against DG DS
Just kidding, I should try this out on my exposure build on DS
It's really nice.
A few days ago I switched corrupt for Insidious, walked away and waited for my prey to touch the gen.
How did that go? I have 3 screenshots with merciless killer at rank 1 to prove it. Out of 10 matches, I've won all of them with insidious and Dragon's Grip on DS.
I should honestly not advertise DG on DS since it's quite strong IMO, lol.
-
You run BT
or hope the killer is beyond boosted and he'll miss you both in a tight enclosed space.
Dead hard / head on also exists.
-
Being rank 1-2 and not getting killers that are above rank 4 is normal, at least for me.
Getting rank 9 and 13s in your team of survivors when ur playing solo ... is completely messed up and demoralizing.
However... the vice-versa can happen as well. This is a screenshot from a couple of days ago.
Matchmaking is broken, what a surprise. I could've taken more screenshots like this, but I didn't bother.
I've farmed with the other 2 that escaped, hence why they have such high scores. The game ended really fast
------
Then again, looks like you developed a burnout and some frustration.
I would recommend taking a break, at least a couple of days and try your luck again.
Also yeah, Que times for survivor right now are terrible. I feel your pain.
-
Nurse fits the category of borderline broken power and slow movement that you mention, with the exception of huge terror radius.
A killer with more than 115% movement speed and a power relatively weak, especially if it's one designed for chase, can be borderline broken. the 5% movement speed is monumental (if we were to have a 120% killer) and it's something that would be very hard to balance. Unless something is done to make his basic attacks less effective, like a smaller reach.
Situational powers are probably one of the worst designed powers IMO, especially if they're map dependent.
Insanely fast killer with no power? So you want a 150% wraith looking thing that all he does is m1 to play? Oh yeah, I would also love to play against this as survivor /s.
-------------
I'm also here to remind you that BHVR works constantly on new killer and their designs. We're gonna get Trickster next week. They are already working on the killer that they're gonna release for mid of May / anniversary and august / september.
New and interesting designs don't just come up after a night of sleep, ya know? They come after multiple sessions & discussions. Multiple trial and errors.

One great way of putting it lol

David is my survivor main
- He was the first survivor that I played with friends and was recommended to me. Dead hard and WGLF seemed really appealing, especially WGLF since you get BPs from it.
As for killers....
- Demo - He's just a good boy, ya know? Not mentioning that I loved the TV show + his power and design.
- Billy - Curving is probably the most satisfying thing in this game. Next to the speed you get from double engravings + Shadowborn
- Legion - I'm a reddit user

@DarKaron said:
Okay, Blight's flick is unintentional, just as Oni's flick is.
However, that doesn't mean that flicking hasn't become a feature.
Flicking is one of the reasons Blight is such an amazing Killer, and removing it would take something incredibly valuable from his kit.
The flick itself doesn't bother me.
Mclean himself said that it's an intentional mechanic, same with Oni & Billy curving.
What botheres me, is the fact that you can go WAY BEYOND than it's intended by having a very good mouse / high DPI. I know good equipment gives you an edge in certain games but in this case, you literally break the system, the 270* blight flick is by far the biggest proof there is.
Something else that bothers me is the fact that this removes any and all counterplay to Blight. Hiding behind an object? I'll just flick, INSTANTLY turn and hit you. The hitboxes are forgiving and hits do not get stopped by environment.
If we were to compare Oni 180* to Blight 180* we can come to the conclusion that Blight's easier. Why? Blight can see the survivor way better than Oni can trying to pull a 180* flick. Oni is also easier to avoid. Oni is easier to trick than Blight during a rush. Billy doesn't quite belong in this discussion tbh in the first place as his base kit has been gutted by being the only killer in the game where your power will be limited if you use it too much. Where do you think a certain amount of Billy mains went after this change? -> Blight. Besides, where was the last time you've seen a really good Flickbilly? A more important question is, do they exist anymore or they changed killers? I'm not even done.
If we were to compare Blight and Oni flick, when Oni flicks he flungs himself forward a little, Blight on the other hand, HE LUNGES FORWARD a lot more than Oni allowing for some really far accusations (by that I mean, you can 180* flick and with the speed and reach from Blight, you can hit some really really nasty hits...)
Just watch the videos. Compare Oni and Blight flick and see which one's easier... Not mentioning that Oni also has to predict and has no sight on the survivors when he's trying to flick off-screen.
If we were to compare Oni and blight EVEN MORE, blight missing a 180* vs Oni 180*. Oni is going to be punished even more due to his long stun and cooldown. DID I MENTION ONI HAS TO EARN HIS POWER?
Not yet... This removes any and all counterplay blight should have by abusing an unintended mechanic.
This needs to be limited to at least something like 90* IMO.
We still have to take into consideration two other factors:
- Blight's POV fix that decrease his difficulty. This alone is a tremendous buff to Buff to Blight IMO and we're gonna see a lot more Blights. Do you want be flicked around a corner every time you encounter one? This removes any and all counters to blights, the fact you can instantly flick around it and again unlike Oni, your hits slide off objects until they hit the survivor...
- Addons
Conclusion: Oni's flick compared to Blight's flick has like 5 downsides and more punishing.
I honestly want a definitive answer from the devs... @Peanits @McLean
This can not stay with the upcoming blight buff. Blight has received one buff after another, this just overspills the water in the chalice.
Edit: By "far accusations" I mean something like in this video at 0:50 - Tell me, can Oni flick around a corner from that far and still hit someone? It could've gone further and hit David on the other side of the gen if Kate wasn't there.

You run back away from the loop instead of running it like you normally would.
He cannot react because to flick you have to do it in 1 frame, so he has to guess if you would continue the loop or predict the flick. Basically making it a 50/50.
I mean....
I can get away with it once or twice but a blight with half a brain working might catch onto it.
I'm not getting chased only once or twice

360s for a start and survivor movement in general. Some of them flick left and right at supersonic speeds and it's like I'm controlling a fighter jet when moving my mouse.
Then you have all the "techs" of every variety, some locations that can still be fast vaulted despite not intended, healing slugs so they can't be picked up, running up and hugging killers like pyramid or doctor so their power doesn't hit. There's a lot of cheese on the survivor side that gets let through because apparently "it's skill"
Forgot where I was going with that question...
--------------
Anyway,
the 360s are an ok argument. I have 700 hours and never been spun in my life, unless ... we're counting 100-200+ ping players. Then they just disappear from my screen. Hence why I avoid 100+ ping matches. I'm playing on PC tho.
Hugging killers is a tech that I didn't get pulled against me yet. I do it against killers myself when i'm desperate. However, all of these come with a very high risk
If we're looking at Blight.... check what @MadLordJack said first.
Personally, I feel like survivor techs are harder to pull off than killer techs & come with a higher risk
-
As of now, I'm pretty sure there are no ways to disable the HUD

@Dizzy1096 said:
Generally I'm against things like this being left in the game but considering everything they left in on the survivor side it seems only fair Blight keeps it.

@Leachy_Jr said:
You can actually counter the flick by running the opposite way you think they're gonna flick. EG, lets say you're looping around a car and he goes to flick around the car to hit you, you can run away from the car to avoid the hit.
Of course he can counteract this by predicting you will dodge it, but then you can counter that by continuing the car loop. It basically becomes a 50/50 so I have no issue with it.
So by what you say.
... Running straight into him? I would've preferred if you said running not around the loop where he's gonna flick but the moment he wants to flick run away from the loop, vertically i mean, not left or right since that's where he's gonna flick. Even then, the flick and hitboxes are quite forgiving so it can still connect since his attack is not stopped by environment and only stops once it makes contact with a survivor. Not much to do tbh.
What if he has good reaction? I'm dead
Is it really a counter if he can COUNTER IT himself...?

This is cheat almost equal to a hack because it gives unfair advantage that nobody can traditionally acquire.
Whats an interesting about these particular types of hacks/cheats is that they're form of rebellion against current authority. Its not exclusive to one side either. Survivors that use Stretch Res(1080x1080 resolution) which is non-native resolution do so because their objective is to expand their field of view so that killers have even less of a chance to mindgame at loops. Its same thing for people brighten the red glow.
In this case, Its the killer rebelling against their lunge angle and finding a cheat through hardware to increase it further. I remember a time where killers could hear survivors across walls with perfect volume within the game until Spirit came into the game and now all the volume in the chase is completely drowned out by the chase music. As for why people do this, Its like prohibition of alcohol in America in 1930's. Government make a law to prohibit alcohol, people break the law and go to jail, eventually everyone breaks the law and eventually the law dissolves itself. In games, you either fix the hack or you ban people for using it by putting some tracker where the server just disconnects+ban you or you change the base game such way it does not affect the game. For spirit, they lower the volume of survivors while in a chase so that music covers it up, but most spirit drop the chase on purpose so they can hear the survivors footsteps, grass movements, grunts of pain etc.
In the end, they might not do anything for Blight because say 100,000 people play blight worldwide, if only top 200 blight uses it, its small percentage of games. Killers are suppose to be threat in a chase and imposing strange regulations to limit their performance is an odd way to balance a killer. Its like imagine if Nurse could only lunge 90 degree's after performing a chain blink. Its just stupid. you could probably still escape a 270 degree turning blight but he'll be stronger in a chase than other blights.
Spatial sound in win 10.
If you enable it. You can hear survivors better and lowers chase music.

Why were you not camping a pallet while on the game then?
Also it's not just flicks alone that let blight get corner hits, it's the fact that his weapon can't collide with the environment. Only survivors.
Loops exist for a reason.
I wasn't done determining his skill yet. Game is a small map so buying time was one my top priorities, especially against a blight who is a top tier killer and has the movement to traverse and maneuver around it quite easily.
Also yeah, that's a good point you brought in the end that his weapon doesn't collide with the environment.

I have went against this. It's very annoying.
This whole discussion sparked from one match I've had against a Blight on Game Map who knew about this so called "tech".
I managed to avoid his second attack because I got hit ... AROUND A CORNER with the first one... and knew instantly what kind of blight I was going against.

Replicating it is easy, but using it in a match and getting the right amount of turn needed to hit someone is a different beast altogether.

Oni and Billy definitely can do 180 flicks with high DPI, and it's actually more common to see these than it is to see Blights doing it.
I saw your clip and I know this is not intentional, but it's not like everyone can do it. It's way different than it is to just change to spacial sounds while playing Spirit. You have to change your DPI mid Rush and a little before you press M1. It's not something that players do consistently during matches, not even the best Blights out there.
I've found some guy doing 180 turns on Oni.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7FCrvvch1g&ab_channel=%E3%80%9CToyP%E3%81%A8%E3%81%84%E3%81%B4%E3%80%9CI never knew this was possible. I wonder what his sens is. It seems to be much harder to do than Blight, and 180 seems to be absolute max. This is a video from 1 month ago
Billy on the other side.... I've yet to find any RECENT video him turning 180. Billy is not what he used to be before a certain update that added an overheat mechanic..... Now his biggest enemy are the branches in the reworked maps which have a bigger hitbox than intended...
-
@[Deleted User] said:
McLean acknowledged in one of his streams that is something unintended in the game but they don't plan on removing it. Other killers like Oni, Nurse or Billy are also able to make insane flicks using high DPI.
Honestly I don't see the problem in this. Survivors also have things like window tech, CJ tech, Dead Hard or fast vaulting while standing still, etc that are all unintended. These are just things that add a bit more of skill to the game. Besides that, I've yet to face a Blight that does 180s.
Oni / Billy are harder to play IMO. They can't do a 270* degree turn, not even a 180*. Go to 2:45, slow it down and tell me what you think.
If you ask me, for now, people are not going to be vocal about it. But once people figure it out how to do it constantly and develop muscle memory it might be a problem, especially after Blight is going to get his FOV fixed and we're gonna see A LOT more Blight players. At least, this is my prediction.
Idk really. It seems a little too much for me. A good blight player can destroy but if he also knows this he'll be unstoppable.

He says it's not intentional turning more than a certain degree.
Should I understand that something like this is going to be fixed / limited ?
Billy / Oni sure as hell can not turn more than 180* degrees.
If one were to go to 2:45 and slow the video down, you can see him turning more than 180* doing almost a full 270* degree turn by going left, going behind and then ending up swinging to his right.

What's the problem? Equip a anti totem perk or search for a lit totem to deactivate it. If 4 survivors search, then they'll find those totems pretty fast.
Ah yes, just equip a perk.
That will fix the problem.
I also like going out of my way hunting totems whilst I have a chance to run into the killer + see my teammates doing the same while we run around like headless chickens trying to figure out where the darn totems are for 5 minutes.

Imagine having:

- New upcoming hex that blocks windows.
Yeah, I also like playing survivor against this...

I don't feel like trying on Trapper and mainly play him to chill.
-
Not an outrages nerf but at least to make it worth if you cleansed some totems but missed one.
-
A way to nerf NOED would be:
- Depending on number of totems left, you get a speed boost up to a max of 4%

Only if I had survivors do it for me when Deathslinger is trying to drag me to Brazil....

You have to ask yourself:
"Does it really bother me more having 2 meta perks, or the killer?" I'm pretty damn sure, the killer isn't gonna think twice running more than one meta perks himself. Or running something really annoying and obnoxious and send you to the game map with impossible skill checks doc...
In the end, it's your fun & build, you choose how to play and run it.

I'm trying to make a versatile build. Something that helps with or find gen, one that helps with stealth, one to help with chases, and one to help my team or healing.
Figuring out if I should use dead hard or Iron Will will help me make my build.
- Prove Thyself - Helping with gens
- We'll make it - Helping with heals, can come in clutch in some cases.
- Dead Hard - Helps with your survivability, essentially chases. Feel free to use another exhaustion perk of your choice.
- Iron Will - Stealth
This is the build I use.
You can drop We'll make it for BT if you want.

Yeah, his reveal mechanic is what makes him so frustrating to go against, in my opinion. I don't think it should work the same way it worked on his PTB, because that would make him the weakest killer in the game, but they need to address this issue.
Freddy is my babe, I love him. He has been my main ever since I first started playing. Seeing the timer at the beginning of a trial brings a smile to my face.
Guess I should've caught on the fact that Freddy is your profile avatar.
-
What's your current build looking right now?
If it were me, I'd choose Iron Will.
Dead hard even though it's nice and the 2nd chance is great. Let's be honest it's dead hard, it can bug and you might not get any value out of it.
Iron Will however, you just equip it and get value out of it. Not mentioning if you're playing a loud survivor ( I'm looking at you Jeff ) this will completely muffle those sounds. The best part, you're taking killer's hearing away from them, since he can't track you anymore with your grunts. Add ontop of this, all of the stealth plays you can make.
-
Damn, why is GF so high up ? Reveal mechanic hah?
Freddy is fun?
-
Even though I do agree with you on the game map having too many pallets in this time and age
I would like to ask you, what rank are you, what rank is your GF, how often do you guys play, who plays the most out of you. and more importantly what killer did she play ?
Running a killer for 7:21 is a damn long time and i'm sure any competent killer would find a way to down you in at least 1 minute. No offense to your GF.

Well, I was looking for your opinion, not to trash me ... on why do you consider those 2 perks a must
But screw me I guess, hah?
-
Build 1: We'll make it - Prove Thyself - Dead Hard - Iron Will
Build 2: Windows of Opportunity - Dead Hard - Spine Chill - Resilience
Build 3: Prove Thyself - Better together - Leader - Dead Hard
Build 4: Ace in the hole + Plunderer's + 2 flex, usually Bond. Wish I had Appraisal
Build 5: Lithe + Dance with me + Q&Q + Random perk
-----------------
May I ask why do you consider DS + Exhaustion is a must in every build? @REL1_C
-
"this change would be really healthy"
"Survivors will not like this change"
That's all i'm gonna say.

Yeah I also liked to play Billy and I totally understand running Bambozlee on him, I just think it's a boring perk to vs. Pretty unfortunate that they gutted Double Engravings, which was the most fun way to play him and it was nowhere near Op. His animations are also pretty bad.
Respect for you for still being a Billy main, I changed to Oni and Blight since their releases.
How did they gut double engravings?
Do you mean like rev your chainsaw 2 times and you overheat?
Otherwise nothing was changed. They did make it 5 & 7% when the update came out but they revered it back to 15% and 25% movement speed
---------
Completely forgot that they also increased charge time LMAO
The balance team as BHVR... can be quite the laughing stock at times.

Probably an unpopular opinion.
I hate facing Clown because the blurred vision gives me headaches and his power is boring AF.
Huntress is present in 6 out of 10 games here in my region and everyone abuses her ######### hitboxes and I hate how she's never punished for missing.
M1 killers without antiloop are boring to verse because I know they'll only catch me if I make a mistake. So I don't feel outplayed for going down.
Bubba could be fun, but everyone runs Bambozlee which turns him into a braindead killer. Also most of them proxy camp and get an easy down on the rescuer everytime.
Billy could be on the "very fun" category, but again 90% of players run Bambozlee on him because they can't get chainsaws unless they are breathing on your neck. Most are also M1llies.
Nurse could be on the "very fun" as well, but also everyone either runs Double Recharge or Omega Blink.
I can understand the Billy one.
However I run bamboozle for when I run into the ocassional good player / good team / swf.
It's hard being a Billy main in 2021. Even with the best addons and perks, you'll still get destroyed against a good team.
It kinda sucks since his power has been limited and his FOV is kinda screwed and don't get me started on the Overheat mechanic and it's horrible noise when it overheats
