Sry, but we don't kink shame around here.

He needs to look more beat up, rougher.
He's never had it easy...
There's definitely more fat in his face now, same with Nea's new face.
He needs to look tougher rather than having more fat in his face now and with a :l expression on his face. Needs to look angrier IMO

There's a tons of things that causes huge uproars in the community. Moris, Instant Heals, Old DS, MoM, etc. Spirit isn't unique to this and even if she gets nerfed, the next thing will be selected and complained about. Spirit even had a small duration where people weren't complaining about her after her prayer bead and collision nerf.
Spirit certainly needs changes, but a lot of people keep using hyperboles that I don't feel really help their case. Complaints are usually "she requires not skill, just a headset" or "she has no counterplay" both of which are wrong.
Sound tracking is a skill whether or not people think it is and it's certainly something you have to learn from experience. It doesn't take that long to get a feel for it and she's certainly not a hard killer to play once you get familiar with her.
As for counterplay, Spirit can't phase through walls. Vaults and Pallets can be very effective at keeping distancing from a phasing spirit. However, it is a bit problematic that duration and speed addons exist allowing tiles that would otherwise be effective at keeping distance from a phasing spirit to be only minor inconveniences. It also doesn't help that a spirit phasing in short bursts suffers very little downtime on her power. If she misses out of phase, she only has to deal with the short missed attack cooldown which can make her feel very oppressive. I think toning down her addons and making it so she's a bit more punished for poor phases would go a long way to making spirit feel better to play against.
I honestly dig your idea. Starts from the most basics of things, and doesn't come with things like "hear her footsteps or whatever". Starting with a longer cooldown for failed phases is a great start, for now.
Tbh I wanted a Wraith approach to her, the closer she gets you, the more her model is visible, up to a point where she looks like a ghost & is transparent, which would make sense.
Her model being visible only when she gets close to you, so you could see her and actually have some time to react

I'm watching Ardetha react to the Spirit counterplay Tru3 made right now.
I don't wanna throw any shame or whatever... but you can tell how good the community received the video by looking at the like / dislike ratio.

That's people just being A-holes.

Spirit has to be the only killer that stirred so much controversy, so much hate, so many heated arguments, amongst other things.
Never seen it before.
Actually... There Is this character, Brigitte, in Overwatch...

You mean J-flick, not Z-flick.
So here's what you do:
- When you want to flick, you lift your mouse and threw it in one direction. Hopefully, it won't break when it hits the walls.

Edit
My thicc arse thought we were talking about the killer, Hillbilly.

But yeah, that would be nice.

Imagine if they added walls to EVERY door and blocked off the windows in ground level. Make that map super ######### for survivors 😂
The more they gut maps like Haddonfield, the better.
Nothing good ever comes out of that map.
Nothing good came out of it every time I was sent to it.
5$ they're gonna add a breakable wall to the house in the middle to block one of the entrances. Survivor going up, dropping down and repeating the same loop 20 times? Not once we add this breakable wall ! haha !
10$ they're gonna have multiple houses of pain once they add breakable walls to Haddonfield.
-
@CLAUDETTEINABUSH said:
I think it's a good addition, you take 3 seconds to create a new way to loop. And you don't really need to break all of them, the Freddy's Map for example has breakable walls in the building. You can either choose to limit your choices of entry (only in the middle) so they can also have limited options or open them and give survivors more options.
I would disagree.
Just because a couple or a few have a purpose & are strategically placed that doesn't excuse the other 99 that are placed for the sake of it.
https://clips.twitch.tv/GentleRudeTurtleSoonerLater-bti56_iZtF8rs43-?tt_content=url&tt_medium=clips_apiIt's not like our feedback is gonna influence them to do anything about it.
Edit: Whilst breakable walls are... somewhat of an interesting mechanic, it's done very poorly. Good idea, very poor execution.
I see them as an excuse for not coming out with more design for loops personally. Why come out with fresh new ideas when u can just pluck a ######### wall in a building and call it a loop.

There’s only like one door you have to break on the saloon
- The one on top of the staircase where the window is must be broken
- The one below where the piano is must be broken
- The one upstairs where the generator & window is must be broken
--------
- There are 2 breakable walls at a loop to the left side of the saloon that must be broken.
- There is one breakable wall at a T&L loop that must be broken otherwise it makes for one of the worst loops for killer in the entire game. You essentially break it to make a PROPER a T&L loop
- The one at shack is debatable but it should mostly be broken. There are 1000 holes you can see the killer through.
That's all I can remember right now.

Against a good Huntress this Perk might turn out funny. Imagine spawning in and getting hit by a Hatchet immediatly.
Unless you get sent to Hawkins or the new Resident Evil map, as Huntress
-
- One blocks generators far from you
- The other shows you the survivors.
Combined, these two perks give you a huge advantage in the match.
As such, you can very safely get a down before the 1st gen pops.
Not mentioning this is insane on killers such as
- Nurse - She will blink onto your arse in a matter of 10 seconds and be down in 20 when the match starts.
- Blight - Same thing
- Billy - Same thing, not as powerful but still.
- Huntress - Ez snipe
Just to name a few

Ah I get you, so it's not meant to be an offensive thing like the wraith (mid chase) but more of a way to protect a team member.
I was going to say if blinded a nurse mid blink but never burned. Appreciate the info, I'm sure I'll get some use out of it sure seems easy enough to pull off after seeing the details.
I was over here trying to do it mid chase and shed always blink at me lol
Depends on what rank you pull this trick in.
If u want to burn a nurse that's blinking to your location, you'll have higher chances at low ranks than at higher ranks. For obvious reasons.
-
Same as when u burn a Wraith, the only requirement is for the nurse to charge/hold her blink.
You can ONLY burn a nurse if she's holding/charging a blink
Just aim at her body, same as Wraith
It's always possible
Distance, same as Wraith
It's a tactic worth knowing. If she holds a blink and you're most likely behind her and she's trying to blink elsewhere or onto someone you can burn her. Be aware, that will piss her off...Trying to burn her when she's blinking onto you is almost never worth it as she's gonna blink and hit you before you burn her.
Here's the video -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiiqGG_pVxg
-----------
Bonus: You can burn Nurse/Wraith with firecrackers as well. Check Pyrus guy on YT for a firecracker tutorial
- To burn a wraith with a firecracker when he cloaks on top of you just drop the firecracker.
- For a nurse, it's rather tricky, you need to predict the blink and drop the firecracker whilst also making distance, this is to force her to blink again if she wants to hit you.

Oh, you're right. I didn't look at the killers status.
But the points can be deceiving sometimes.
Yesterday I had a match with a Bill who always ran away, when I approached him to heal him. With bond I saw how he corner crouched during the whole match. He died during the EGC and had like 6k points. (Red rank survivor, btw.)
OP mentioned that he got tunneled as soon as he got off the hook.
He is also bottom score, only 3k points, while the red rank above him who also died has 11k points.
With 3k points, you have to die very very early on. He must've got those points from chase alone.
-

Yet the killer only got a draw. Makes you wonder about balance, huh?
Check again.
- The survivors not dead nor sacrificed. They are alive
- The spectate button in the left corner is still available.
- The killer's perks are not visible.
All of this, meaning the match has not reached its climax.
For all I know, the OP got 3k points, meaning he got killed very early on at 4 gens, even 5 gens. I can deduct that the killer won the game with a 4k in this scenario, not mentioning the killer is also rank 1.
-
I mean....
The man thought Ruin, tinkerer, undying is gonna good on all killers... And he slapped Discordance on it as well.
Some people just shut their brain offs.
Or want to just test the combo on other killers...

You'd think that'd be enough, but a lot of survivors in higher ranks are boosted as hell. I remember this one particular trial (even wrote a thread about it) with survivors who felt like they were complete newbies. I let them escape (except one). Turned out half of them were my rank, the others were higher. The highest was rank 6.
You can read the story here, although it's pretty much what I wrote above:
DBD just confuses the hell out of me sometimes...
We have this argument: "Rank doesn't matter"
- I am against this argument. I wouldn't pair a rank 10-15 against a rank 1-4.
- But then at rank 1, you have teammates that play worse than those guys. If I learned anything, it's not to judge a book by its cover.
- I play in red ranks, I've seen my share of boosted animals, both as killer and solo survivor.
There are ways to GUESS a person's rank by the way they play, sure, but it's not always an accurate guess as even though they are red rank, they play worse than green ranks.
Nonetheless, if I encounter those guys I tend to give them hatch.
Edit: I Forgot. I've seen your story. When I encounter SWF like that I just think they're drunk or high....

Going for the weak link is the sure way to win. Was this toxic, considering you were rank 12? yes, perhaps?
The killer has no way of knowing the survivors' ranks until the trial is over.
Yes, he does.
Killers can judge the survivor's skill. You should know that a killer can guess what rank you are by the way you play.
"This guy plays really bad, can't loop, drops pallets without looking behind, he must be a low rank in my rank 1 killer game" - This is my way of thinking when I face these kinds of survivors. Most of the time I give them hatch as they have no business being in my rank 1 games.
It's how a killer knows who to chase & who to not chase. In this case, he knew he was bad, he knew was gonna go down quick, he knew he probably didn't have DS. There's plenty of clues.
The OP said it himself that the killer constantly went after him. I wonder why...

I think part of that was also them genuinely believing even old base kit Billy was too strong.
They are the same people who nerfed pallet Freddy because they thought it was too strong lmao.
I don't think it's just a coincidence that they nerfed Billy along with buffing Bubba and then releasing Blight as next DLC.
I kept thinking that as well. What a funny coincidence that Billy got heavily changed and Blight came out shortly after.
Not mentioning they made Bubba as viable, if not more viable as Billy when the patch got out.

Some people buy characters for their perks.
- Plague for corrupt

- Bubba for BBQ
just to name a few. The characters themselves don't have to good or strong, they just need their perks.

Blight only needed POV change because it was bugged for 6months since his release
His addons also received numerous changes, which made them better.
Why Billy's addons are still garbage and gimmicky while Blight's are directly affecting his power and are really really strong. Does Blight even have 2 or more useless addons?
- Heavy clutch - this addon can mess with your curves. Not only it decreases the collision with objects, but it affects survivors as well.
- Speed Limiter - you know why
- Junkyard Air Filter - Barely a noticeable difference. It's a brown addon, sure.... But still, this should've been basekit together with more steering.
- Off-brand Motor Oil - I've never seen anyone use this addon In my life. I've used it myself. It's terrible.
- Death Engravings - The penalty is too much
- Big Buckle - Why in the holy seven seas would you want your chainsaw to overheat? You never want that
- Mother's Helpers - gimmicky addon. Can be proven useful in certain scenarios. Requires Enduring to get max value out of. Besides, you don't want to be eating pallets as Billy in the first place as it can really set you back.
- Leafy Mesh - This addon, straight garbage. Anyone with 2 brain cells will realize where Billy is if the teammate got downed and his terror radius suddenly disappeared... You can lose all that time trying to find a hook.
- Death Engravings - very good addon, one of his best. However, the drawback is insane.
- Black Grease - When a flashlight shines on you, you get increased cooling rate. I'm not even gonna bother mentioning how trash this addon is
- Tuned Carburettor - This addon makes my blood boil. You may use this with one of the engravings addon and say "oh look, crack billy is back" Crack billy is back my arse !! This is ONE of the worst drawbacks in the history of DBD addons.
- Apex Muffler - Gimmicky addon. Barely seen it being used outside of gimmicky builds.
- Iridescent Brick - Gimmicky addon. Isn't this and Apex Muffler pretty much the SAME addon with different requirements?

On the other hand....
My native roots need a killer like him.
-
Picked up Billy after playing Oni constantly for a while. I'm a Billy main. Oni grew up on me recently due to his power & insane snowball that I could only dream of when playing Billy.
First match -> Haddonfield... And the survivors were decent as well...
I ran:
- BBQ
- Ruin
- Infectious
- Shadowborn.
I got 0 value out of Infectious. You know why? Cause of the stupid RNG with windows, pallets & loops I got.... Every time I downed someone I could not afford to slug... They knew how to abuse the houses as well with the drop-downs... They were spread on gens as well. I had ABSOLUTELY ZERO CHANCE.... It hurts playing a game when u know you're gonna lose horribly...
I had a fantastic time... At least I got to curve 2 times which was nice but the rage stayed for 2-3 matches. Never played Billy for the remainder of the day. If the first match As billy you get sent to Haddonfield, it's a clear sign you shouldn't play Billy anymore for today.
In the next match, I was Huntress on Ormond...
---------------
@Aneurysm wait until the new resident Evil Map drops. Us blight & billy players will have a fantastic time on that map

Nah, I think base-kit Billy should be left alone (not saying we need overheat changed tho). Speed can be problematic if you're on Lery's, or if you're running steering add-ons.
Sometimes I might be in the mood for Flick Billy, or sometimes I'm in the mood for base-kit Billy.
No more changes to my boi, he's suffered enough!
------------
Tough subject, giving Billy an engraving to his base kit.
He could honestly use more steering by default. BHVR loves to add a bunch of trash/garbage on the map and billy could honestly use some more steering to avoid those... If anything, he could use dad's boots as base kit, but slightly instead of moderately.
On top of this, all trees that been reworked, actually be reworked with proper hitboxes so they don't share the same size as my house would be an EXCELLENT addition. The engravings could have the charge penalty removed or slightly reduced honestly...
but like Glitchboi said, too much speed can be problematic.
I can't wait to play Billy on the new Resident Evil map.... It's gonna be so much fun /s

I guess it comes down to opinion, but I don't consider Demo to be humanoid. Sure it has two arms, two legs, and a head, but due to it's digitigrade foot structure, petal mouth, occasionally crawling on all fours, freakish height, and lack of sexual external organ, again, I don't really consider it humanoid. I can see how people would, though.
According to the DBD wiki, Demo's gender is ... Non-human. He is a monster
However
Just because he has a different appearance, that doesn't mean he is not a humanoid figure. He has all the characteristics of a humanoid creature. Dwarves & Elves are not human(race), but they all have humanoid figures. If u watched Lord of the Rings, you'd notice that all Orc variants are not human, but they all have a humanoid figure despite their different appearances. The giant ents from Lord of the rings are not human either, but they all have a humanoid figure.
Demo is a monster with a humanoid figure, not behavior.
