funny to put the problem with the people complaining and not the devs refusing to do anything for years and now finally doing exactly what the community has been suggesting...oh sorry I mean complaining, for again years....
the devs were too slow on this agreed I was just tired of seeing the same thing over and over when they were all the same idea
-
I’m just glad people will finally stop complaining about it
-
They will probably delay the new chapter which is fine by me if it means it gets released in a better state
-
ive put over 1 million bp into my Jane and gotten 2 toolboxes and like 5 firecrackers😢

Still, don't you think they could AT LEAST do something like a 1.5x bloodpoint bonus to somewhat make it feel like an event?
I mean maybe? But archives and event bp are good enough for me
-
I think the devs forgot what windows were when they made the map

The Hillbilly changes were absolutely necessary. Unlimited freedom of use of his chainsaw over and over and over again was just unbearable to deal with.
It wouldn’t matter if he missed. He could just keep coming and coming. It wasn’t balanced in the slightest.
Imagine if Spirit, Blight, Oni, Nurse just freely kept immediately using their power after just coming out it?
While I agree he needed some kind of cooldown I think they went the wrong way about it. The least they could do imo is to revert the nerf after the live build which made the heat dissipate slower

Didn't mean to sound negative by calling him decent. He sure can defend hooks, create deadzones and snowball (if survivors mess up) but all of that means relatively little against an organized team that splits up, chains windows and works on gens while injured (I'm talking UBK tournament level of play as I usually face them a few times per week) because he just doesn't have map pressure, gen slowdown/defense.
Then again I refuse to run slowdown perks on him as I find them boring to use so I'm making it needlessly difficult for myself.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1940064#Comment_1940064
Yupp that's exactly one of his issues. He's map dependant. If there's multiple strong windows and a ton of pallets they can just feed you everything to delay the downs/hooks while everyone else is pumping out gens. And once the pallets are gone they're just running to the windows the second they hear your terror radius and start chaining them together to delay the downs again.
That being said I still like him quite simply because survivors have to respect him. Also at his highest level of play you can anti loop a few loops here and there resulting in a really fun experience.
I really love anti looping the harvester:
Oh yeah anyone loses to a tournament squad and it going to stay that way.

Clown would be a good hugger honestly
As for survivor Jane or Jeff it’s a tie

I swear if they nerf my girl Spirit to the point where she's unfun or unplayable, I will go insane.
She’s lasted this long so it’s unlikely. Nurse got away with an addon nerf and spirit got the same. I just want more ways to counter her and a stridor change

Nothing so far. It should have been released in the same Rift like "Never stop slashing" for Legion, but the Devs have withdrawn it because they wanted to work on it.
It should be released with a future Rift, but no info on that so far.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they scrap it. Even if they made it perfectly like the art people wouldn’t like it

Most people can't loop and hold a chase unless they get a hit-boost they can use to hold forward until the killer catches up for the 2nd hit. Leatherface eats that kind of survivor for breakfast making him seem op when in reality he's barely "decent" against strong survivors.
I mean he’s still great at forcing pallets and getting one shots. He can defend hooks well too and makes unsafe saves near impossible. His addons are also really good.
Definitely better than decent imo
-
They said they would focus on anniversary and Halloween events in future so think of these like mini events
-
Only map that has mor pallets is the game. I’d say crotus prenn has less and killers get stunned to the other side of the pallet making enduring amazing right now. Hitboxes are also causing hits from 5 feet away

That's a funny joke, BHVR play testing, or playing, their own game.
Tbf almo and peanits have their own streams and they do around the campfire streams fairly regularly. Doesn’t mean they are good but they do play it

Well it would look different. The steps they make are to small.
That’s to make speed boosting perks look a bit better
-
If they didn’t find out about the lack of collision on the crotus prenn greenhouse that tells me they did minimal to no play testing

Thats not how you run while in pain.
Then how do you? You wouldn’t limp like before unless your leg got hit. I’ll agree it’s a bit stiff but it makes sense for them to run like that

The only recolours are, in fact, the recolours (Nea cosmetics, and the chill cosmetics stolen from DBD mobile (dwight trapper claud billy and ne more i cant remember). Everything else has been made from scratch! I don't see any of the other new outfits models elsewhere
The least they could do imo is make recoloured purple skins like what plague got awhile ago. Those are a bit better
-
Honestly the rifts are just lazy at this point. Bunch of recoloured skins with like 2 good ones
-
@Tsulan said:
We used to get event coins for hooking survivors on the event hook or finishing event gens (being alive while they were finished was enough).
With those coins we could buy event skins.
Now it looks like we will get the skins from event codes they release on twitter or something.
The BP were roughly the same.
They said they are going to put more effort into their anniversary and Halloween event now
-
@Tsulan said:
But why do they run, like they are desperately looking for a toilet?
Because you are in pain?
-
Clown has never been bad tbh. His chase game is really good a strategic slugging and use of slowdown perks keeps the game going too fast.

D hope: I think is the only hex with high risk high reward
Ruin: ....Its really only good on like 3 killers? (old ruin was better for all killers)
Retribution: is a little niche and again only works on a few killers.
Undying: I dont know what they nerfed I cant exactly remember but I agree its a pretty good hex perk (actually wouldnt mind it being based in killer kit, would force survivors to do bones!)
Third Seal: yeah its niche but....not a good niche probs one of the worst hex perks in game.
Trashness Lullaby: 2nd worst hex in game.
Thirll of the hunt: Now thats a niche perk but yeah I agree its not too good (more annoying than anything else)
Blood favour: I wouldnt say trash but not good either pretty meh hex hardly worth running when you have Undying and D hope and to some extent ruin.
Noed: This perk is quite tricky (disclaimer I have no issues with this perk I think its fine) I only really see this perk being used around the 20-12 ranks so yeah Killers who are new to the game or just straight up bad (or camping killers but thats not the perks fault) On one hand it is a pretty good hex on the other hand though you really dont want to use it cause well you've been playing with 3 perks all game and with how easy totems are to find this perk just ends up like every other hex, broken before you even get to use it. (ive noticed that if survivors see a pretty bad killer they do bones to avoid the noed)
Haunted Ground: Really only see Spirit run this perk nobody else. Wouldn't mind seeing it more its an alright perk.
Sorry for the wall of text but just wanted to give my thoughts on it!
No problem and I agree with some.
Old ruin was actually bad against most good survivors(could you imagine it with the smooth skillchecks now)
Third seal counter object and kindred both pretty strong perks as well as blood amber for keys. Again kinda niche but definitely not bad
huntress lullaby needs like 6 other perks to be effective but new undying helps a bit.
retributions 10 aura read on everyone is very good on all killers since that Information can be invaluable to strategic play
-
They can’t really Errol the patch when they’ve already made the changes to live. They’d just end up putting in the same work to fix the issues and keep all the good changes
-

yeah exactly! Only the people who actually abused it are the ones complaining. I find it weird that the devs didnt disable the perk when entering a locker I really believe that was the biggest issue. (Then again no matter how many times they nerf this perk killers and survivors will always complain about it)
Yep just like noed if they nerf it people will still hate it
-
With current survivors frustration and you playing spirit I really don’t blame them for dcing
-
Ruin and devour hope are both really good
Haunted ground is a decent option
Retribution is underrated
undying is still very strong
The third seal is niche but okay
Humtress lullaby needs synergy but is okay
toth is pretty bad
blood favour is trash
Noed is quite good.
A lot of these perks require a downside to be fair hence they hex part. Bad spawns will never be fixed and people will always learn spots or bring perks to find them
Nit like you have to run them anyway
-
I find doctors worse that just irritates me
-
No obsession lobby’s are the worst games of dbd you can have in my opinion
-
Doctor is one of the most balanced killers in the game at the moment. I have a lot of fun fighting him

It's all in your head. The movement feels exactly the same.
Nah you can’t 360 or quick turn to double back as easily. You also can’t spin while slugged
-
I love them honestly but the new movement feels bad
-
While the new movement feels bad I like the new animations. I can now stare the killer down and nod my head at the gates to say GG as well as greet other survivors. You can still 360 and moonwalk it’s just really hard.
New hud besides the new info is bad tho I can agree on that

It's in the free pass iirc
Oh in that case I guess? But it’s still really low effort alongside 90% of the pass
-
This is why I don’t buy the battle pass
-
Finally the nerf those pesky survivor wins deserve!
-
I waited a year for this and I’m really disappointed
-
As a Jane main this is best update since demise of the faithful
-
Having to patrol two gens would make winning the game easy
-
She’s already okay but she does not need a third puke. What happens if you have a three gen and you gold puke on one of them?
-
It’s meant to be a horror themed game so having it be night makes sense
-
Yeah they seem pretty bad. Map was very Balanced to begin with so this was unnecessary
-
This game has infamous spaghetti code. By that I mean if they fix one bug multiple more will be added. It’s best they take their time so they don’t make the situation worse
-
Just an idea but I think it would be cool if the corresponding survivor had a different Mori animation to their killer.
Example: Legion does the bloody smile thing from the trailer when Moriing Jeff

I want that early game mechanic the devs said they were working on. Sadly, we still don't have any news on it.
They said it has evolved into something else. We don’t know what it is though
-
Tbf the only people complaining about this change are the ones who do this very thing in the video(not that I blame them you can’t save it by missing the skill check)

You should try it with Whispers, it's insane. Whispers is great for finding the rough area a survivor is in, and then Spies will help you find immersed survivors who are intent on staying hidden behind objects and jungle gyms. It does take 2 slots but your ability to find survivors quickly is so good.
I was running this for the new tome challenge but the perk actually ended up being so clutch. I located survivors who were sneaking up for the unhook 2-3 times in the trial, and it resulted in huge snow balls as I was then able to quickly down them and have 2 people hooked in the same area.
I’d rather keep more gen regression but that sounds decent!
