you know, I think they are just trolling.
I mean, look at them saying Wraith's backstory of not wanting to kill but witnessing horrors and killing as a last resort when he snapped is retconning his backstory of... not wanting to kill but witnessing horrors and killing as a last resort when he snapped...
Yeah that’s probably the case. Tbf though some of them are kinda bad like Jane’s or legion’s

Best looking survivor is kate - good looking, nice curves, the only survivor with a tattoo. Best looking killer is Myers - gotta love those legs.
Worst looking are Nea (for obvious reasons) and Plague - that Two-Face thing is just nasty

Survivors
Most attractive: Jane she’s got a cute face and body. She also seems like a very caring person
Least attractive: I just don’t like yui at all. Her clothes and style just don’t suit me
Killers
Most attractive: I find none attractive but slinger is the closest
Least attractive: Twins for pretty obvious reasons

haha, no.
After devs introduced tomes, they just screwed the lore with those stupid retcons.
I'd rather learn the lore from Benedict's observations tbh
They had a lot of potential with tomes, but they wasted it into retconning and boring cliches that doesn't connect to the old lore in many noticeable details.
Not all of them. What about Billy’s?

Killers: Ghostface (You and the ****** reveal mechanic you rode in on), Blight, Plague, Clown (All three are just miserable to play against), and Demogorgon (This last one isn't annoying, but he's just such a weak killer that this a mercy kill more than anything).
Survivors: Felix, Zarina, Steve, Adam, Nea, all of them for the unforgivable crime of bringing nothing but garbage perks to the game. If I hadn't already "saved" Kate in the other thread, I'd throw her on the pile too. Maybe Kate should be there instead of Nea since Balanced Landing was at least decent at one point. Then again, I hate Nea as it is, so I could leave her on the list for no other reason than that.
Deliverance?

You can get the snowball going again quickly with Oni too. Not to mention, Oni's power is an insta down. Which is why you see a lot of games where an Oni player wins the match with four or five generators still up.
Can we just agree that both killers encourage slugging?
Both do agreed but one can win without it against decent survivors that’s the difference

Not if survivors hold on to Victor for the full recall duration.
Plus, you're downplaying how punishing it is for Victor to get crushed.
survivors holding Victor doesn’t really do much anymore as it gives Charlotte time to pressure the other 3
It can be punishing true but her cooldown is still low so you can get the snowball going again rather quickly

I dont really get what you mean with "power design". I assume you mean how fair they are?
In that case I disagree with the most. I dont get why Plague, Wraith and Clown are at the decent spot, they all got changes for a reason in the past. And future probably. Also why is nurse and spirit so low? They have well designed powers regardless of the streangh.
More so how well their power works for dbd. Nurse is so low since she breaks the fundamentals of the game and legion since they’re just so weak

Again 5 second cooldown

Depends on who you’re fighting against imo
If their being sweaty go ahead
If you’re against newer players I go easy

If you want a counter play, I'll list a few ideas and a bunch of perks. If you do comment, do not say something stupid like "why would anyone run these perks" or "how will this perk counter spirit". There is obviously counter play but even I'll agree that it isn't easy finding a counter to a powerful killer.
PERKS - (LOADS)
- Iron will
- Quick an quiet
- Lightweight
- Off the Record
- Lucky break (If it's the Father's glasses add-on)
- Diversion
- Spine chill is a good one (If she's in front of you)
- Premonition
- Urban Evasion
- Deception
- Exhaustion perks
- DS counters all
PLAYSTYLES
- Crouch still, she can't hear you
- Muddle up your footprints
- Vault and quickly vault back
- Throw a pallet down and be on one side 50/50
BUILDS
My favourite anti-spirit build is dead hard, off the record, DS and borrowed time
Just pick from the list....OK!!! 😂
I’m not going to go over perks here since you don’t know who you are fighting
Crouch still: Unless you have iron will you breath. Depending on survivor played or stridor this can be a pretty easy give away
Footsteps: Good spirits can hear footsteps and come out of phase when scratch marks stop
Vaulting back: Again she can hear you and at pallets you make a grunt sound
Pallet: not a 50/50 when spirit has 5 ways to track you and you have 1
-
Honestly I had pretty bad survivors today. MMR is active I guess

Oni is fairly reliant on slugging as well. And yet you placed him high on the list?
Difference is oni doesn’t have his power up all the time (or on a 5 second cooldown!) and doesn’t require slugging to win.
Oni only need top knot nerfed
-
@Haddix said:

Why is slugging an invalid playstyle? Just because a killer is good at slugging doesn't mean the killer isn't good.
The literal design of the killer IS TO slug. They created them in a way that Charlotte cannot quickly pick up the downs that Victor gets. They intended for Twins to slug. Be as efficient with Victor as possible, then clean up with Charlotte. Slugging is a big part of this.
I really don't understand the argument. They're a super good killer that excels at pressuring the map.
That’s the problem. Slugging isn’t fun for survivors and isn’t encouraged in the pip system

Either way id still like to see another killer like nurse in the future. Blights pretty close as he encourages a lot of raw skill to get his downs instead of just saying no to the survivor imo. Not saying that makes ph doctor or freddy busted (well freddy is) but id rather use my skill with a killer over handholding like doctors shock blocking off pallets for like 3 seconds or ph range attacking through each pallet. It is good for the killers who aren't that good though which does make sense can't have every killer like nurse or noone would get kills in the low ranks and everyone would in high.
How is ph handholding and nurse not then? Also freddy is strong but compared to nurse is very weak

Doctor is the least in that but pyramid head every loop sword into the ground is pretty brainless in my opinion and this is coming from a person who plays ph a lot. Also old ph was literally sword into ground or m1 making it impossible on the survivor.
Old PH was brainless agreed but new PH is pretty fun in chase since unlike nurse he can’t just deny anything you do
-
@supersonic853 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1998471#Comment_1998471
Shes also the only killer who encourages pure raw skill. If you want to play her you have to be good as her skill floor is through the roof. Thats why most people rarely complain about a good nurse because you gotta respect the work they probably put in. Id say more killers like nurse would be good compared to say pyramid head doctor or freddy. Just hold m2 at loops.
How is doctor just holding m2 at a loop when it requires timing to do it right? Same with ph tho freddy is brainless

Nurse is fine but the issue is the entire survivor team needs to understand how she works mechanically to deal with a good one. That's why now when you see a Nurse in red ranks most survivors get demolished because no one plays Nurse anymore. So they don't understand how Nurse works mechanically then they get dumpstered. If you see more Nurse players you'll have less of this issue.
Her power is telegraphed quite well and if you understand charge time and blink speed you'll almost know exactly where she's going to land based on where she's looking, what angle and how long she holds the blink until you hear the woosh noise. Thing is if she holds it too long you know close range blinks will take longer for her to land and some movement close up becomes impossible for her.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2000353#Comment_2000353
I gave a better explanation on another thread but I can tl;dr it like this
All of Nurses' strengths can only be learned on Nurse
All of Spirits strengths are learned on other killers which is tracking sounds - Her power past that is stupidly simple that yes she takes very little skill. The only thing specifically unique to her is her passive phasing that lets spirit players lazily mind game survivors with zero effort. Passive effects is why HEX: Ruin was changed I really don't understand why people think Spirit is fine. They'll argue it isn't oppressive I'm sure but that's just a buzzword to deny the fact that it's not engaging at all for survivor.
She does telegraph her power but even if she’s off on her her first blink she can easily make up with her second

You mean bad players like OhTofu who quit playing him? I couldn't care less if you play at rank 1 or not, it means nothing and doesn't reinforce your argument.
Also, Billy's animations have been bugged for quite a long time and the devs still haven't fixed them, so that adds up to him being much less fun to play.
His animations are a bit annoying tbf
Tofu probably just got bored of him since he’s been playing since launch
His overheat is fine and his addons needed changes

People hate it because this is the only exhaustion perk that robs you a hit just in front of you after catching up to the surv.
Sprint burst, well you'll immediately see he has it, he's looking at you, but doesn't run.
Lithe, if you vault too late the window, you'll get the hit, it's just for transition between loops/gaining distance.
Head on, seriously, Head on never permit to avoid a hit.
Balance Landing, this is different, it's the only perk with Dead Hard that can allow you to avoid being hit. But it's so rare and situational so it's not a problem.
But Dead Hard, you'll being looped for 25 seconds, FINALLY YOU'LL END THE CHASE AND dead hard, you're done for another health state chase.
To be honest, even as a Nurse main, I don't think Dead Hard is OP, sure it's frustrating, but the perk can be used only 3 times per game, and you won't be able to have value from it every time.
Honestly I’ve always found sprint burst more annoying

I absolutely love Felix's voice acting. I think it actually sounds like he's fighting through the pain when he's injured and I don't begrudge not running Iron Will on him if I have no space in my build. I also really like Quentin's voice acting, and Ash's (he actually speaks!!).
Killer wise
I also love Deathslingers little laughs
And just from a quality of work point of view Huntresses voice actor went the extra mile, as did Tricksters (I think his voice acting is my favourite generally tbh)
While I don’t like felix personally I will agree here his voice acting is some of the best

I'm not sure you understand what this thread is about.
No one is crying over perks, items or offerings or any of the things you've mentioned.
We are talking about player behaviour and motivation with respect to intentionally trying to ruin someone elses game by not engaging in the objectives of the game and purely trying to grief other players.
Also when teams deliberately use a low level team mate to get easier games so they can indulge in griefing with little to no consequence.
When the actual multiplayer element of the game is crappy then a solo play mode can offer a remedy to that scenario.
Just so you know matchmaking isn’t based off the highest rank

An epiphany we all have at one point.
I pretty much refuse to play killer on Friday evenings and through the weekend because of this kind of behaviour from survivors.
I always enjoy killer at that time. It’s when all the newer players come on. Even after a bad match most survivors are nice since I main billy now

No, I didnt mean balancing. I mean creative in power design.
I mean, I could design a Mage throwing energy ball
I could design a mad veteran throwing grenade and do blast damage
I could design a archer shooting arrows with addon that can bounce on impact
Nurse & Spirit are op (and may not balance), but they're the best power design.
I get what you mean but having a killer who can teleport through anything and a killer who the survivors can’t react to are both terrible design ideas imo
-
@MadLordJack said:
There is this wierd thing where people stop caring if the community perception is that a killer takes skill, regardless of how much effor the killer actually put into the trial
The best part is when survivors compliment me on my Nurse plays and I try really hard to not point out how little attention I was paying, yet when I struggle as Spirit and get a 0k with terrible builds I get absolutely flamed.
It’s weird how everyone thinks nurse is okay because she requires skill when I’d argue blight requires more for much less reward
-
Favourite Survivors are Quentin and tapp. Quentin just sounds pretty good in general and tapp sounds like that this guy
As for killer clown’s laugh is perfection

@Rizer said:
The Nurse is a dumpster fire, literally a built in cheat made by the developers to piss off survivor mains who were looping killers on infinites.
But this tier list is so vague in it's representation it makes my brain hurt from the sheer idiocy of it... I love how there's a tier of "needs to be buffed / nerfed" ... okay? Which is it? Do they need buffs or nerfs? :/ I mean really man... ######### is this trash?
It was vague because it’s up to the developers what they do with these. It’s pretty obvious anyway which ones need buffs and nerfs
Nurse is OP but calling her a cheat is too far
-
@Mister_Holdout said:
People really need to play the Twins more. There's so much more to their power than people realize.
No other killer in the game can chase survivors with 150% movement speed. That alone makes the Twins unique and fun to play.
QOL updates would fix the Twins.
So long as they make them less reliant on slugging and camping to win I’m good

A perk is a counter
Im also talking about nurse but ok
What happens if I’m running a perk build without iron will and get a nurse? I don’t know what killer I’m going against before the match
You were talking about it being not okay survivors had no counterplay but I was talking about nurse
-
@C3Tooth said:
I thought the tier is based on design, not balancing.
Nurse, Spirit powers are the most creative I ever seen. The rich in basekit of PH & Oni is good too (eventhough new Freddy basekit is rich, but I feel like it just takes stuff from other killers, not unique).
I would put Huntress, Deathslinger, Clown,Trickster to the bottom. Throwing stuffs isnt creative.
Huntress comes from how she has stood the test of time Even as the first ranged killer
Deathslingers zoning is too strong but his map pressure too weak
Clown is unique in how he doesn’t require precision he requires strategy
-
Head on is a lot of fun so I’d go with Jane
