If you want heal tech removed for realism then we can make it so pallet stuns or flashlight saves work at ANY point in the pickup. Makes no sense how blinding light only hurts the eyes or a pallet stuns only AFTER a strenuous action and not during.
lmao, this and also lower half a health state of a survivor when falling down from a two-story house. Like how are you "dying" from 1 hit but not when falling down an entire house? π

Tbagging to disrespect the killer is bad manners. I mean we all know what that gesture means. The only problem is that you can't ban it. If you ban squats, survivors will find other ways to annoy you (e.g. nodding, pointing at you) ItΒ΄s best to just ignore them.
When I first started playing DBD I thought it was dancing π to consider it as TB-ing is such a guy thing π

Just because someone is a streamer it sadly doesn't automatically mean they're also a decent and well-mannered person π I learned the hard way to just leave streamer lobbies. You were very kind to give her hatch and say GG's, kudos to you!

I wouldn't be very excited about a game dragging on for so long, but I'd def give them a pass. Even if it's 1 dc I don't tryhard. Unless they're being super toxic then yea, I'm going to cut it short and just move on to the next one asap.

Might also be related to people having summer vacation/going away. Or it being due to the heatwave, like no one stays inside, in the EU that is.

That would be great and I don't understand why they have so many perks with tiers anyway.
Even if you looked at it from a company's perspective, no perk tiers = overall less work = less time = less money spent on creating it by the devs/team.
For players, this would mean everyone would start on equal grounds, perkwise that is.

Realistically my hrs are 45% spent on survirvor, 45% killer, and 10% waiting in lobbies/leveling up in the bloodweb π

So, imagine being able to see through walls, control and see in the darkness, move super fast, have super strength, become invisible, float, lunge very far, be an expert marksman with weapons, become undetectable, projectile vomit that can contaminate ANYTHING (including machines), and did I mention it's contagious plus you have the ability to spread a terrifying aura over a large expanse that can debilitate you, accelerate the usefulness of your property, and telekinetically explode aforementioned machinery just by touching you, on top of being impervious, and cast curses on you.
Does it sound like various members of the Justice League and the Suicide Squad had a baby with Superman? Nope, you'd be wrong. It's just DBD.
This Super baby's opponents are Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane, Perry White, and a beat cop fighting the Justice League. Let me know when that sounds like fun to watch because you can't guess who will win.
Now don't say it's not fair because at least you get to bring a flashlight, a map, a key, and (wait for it) a toolbox. And if you're really good maybe even a med-kit just in case "Supes and his super friends" fry you alive.
How do you win? Glad you asked. You just run for your life at the speed of a turtle with a 3-sec lung capacity racing the Flash.
I'm sorry but the game is just NOT FUN... at all. I almost hate it, but because I've invested so much time and money into it I keep torturing myself with horrible mechanics and a mediocre roster of perks in comparison to the killers.
The Truth: Unless your team (SWF or Pugs) performs at peak prowess and gets lucky enough to go up against an unskilled killer that doesn't understand looping and such it will most often be in the killer's favor.
The draw of this game is predominantly because of the iconic monikers associated with it. And I don't mind being the underdog as long as it's not made blatantly obvious that I won't stand a chance in Gehenna by myself. As if seeing my tracks isn't enough, devs need to make sure the killer can see any and everyone through the environment because the killers aren't OP enough.
I need a break from this game, it's just not fun. And the devs have said it themselves, "There aren't enough survivors dying." So they want this lop-sided gameplay. Yeah, Happy Anniversary. I'm out.
I understand what you mean! Distortion when reworked is going to be v nice.
Out of curiousity have you tried mindgaming the aura readings? Back when I went against a lot of killers with AR-perks, I learned the timing/duration of them and tried mindgaming the killer from afar (when I wasn't on a gen ofc). Like yes, I'm here and going this way and as soon as the duration is done, go somewhere else entirely, and see the killer be bamboozled. You can also hide your aura behind a gen if done correctly.
^ it doesn't always work, but when it does it's quite hilarious. I wouldn't try it always though considering every second is precious during a trial xD

A perfect example of killers huge hitboxes being overly intrusive, lost track of the number of times I've dead harded or juked at a pallet and were both literally touching the pallet standing next to it and I can't interact with it because the devs decided that's how the mechanics should work. A brilliant idea when survivors are struggling to loop a power role that is faster and has better tools in the chase.

It baffles me how you are literally doing just the thing you complained at me for doing. It's like fighting a team in Team Fortress 2 with SIX engineers and FOUR SNIPERS. Sure! It's in the game, it sure is a part of the game to not have class limits.
.........Does that mean it is fun and fair though. Does that mean that this is an INTENDED DESIGN and not more likely developer oversight, that an inattentive dev team failed to address and in the case of BHVR, is intentionally taking as much time as possible to address because they fear if they acted quickly, they would instantly get backlash and people would start quitting the game and playing it a lot less? Sure, for a very low MMR like yours where you said yourself that you don't care much about being outplayed, these balance issues never really become a big, sore problem. For higher MMRs where I'm currently playing though, you will find that it literally physically becomes UNWINNABLE UNLESS YOU run annoying builds that you would never wanna fight and use Killers with either good anti-looping, very good gen pressure, a ranged ability or an instadown. Let's call this the Killer Formula.
Notice how I never complained about Dead Hard btw. Dead Hard was never a deciding factor in a game between me completely losing and completely winning, but Boon: Circle of Healing for example is a whole different story. Can completely delete any progress I achieve, which can take up to 2 minutes sometimes, of wounding all 4 Survivors. VERY important, decisive perk choice that can destroy any Killer that isn't using the Killer Formula and just wants to have fun.
You're like a parrot, just repeating what I'm saying to you but still somehow missing my point time and time again. It's like talking to a wall. Love how you just assumed my MMR, the killers I play and whether they have anti-looping/gen-pressure or not, and took the 1 perk I gave as an example for a spin LOL. You're arguing for the sake of arguing.
How are you losing that often then with such a "high" mmr? <- That's rhetorical btw, don't @ me anymore I have more important things going on in my life than popping off about a video game π

It took devs OVER 3 YEARS to address the unintentional buff of Decisive when Enduring didn't affect its timer. Only NOW did they nerf the stun timer back to 3 seconds as it used to be for a while. After nerfing Enduring, they never buffed it again. Now it's literally the most useless, niche perk in the game when it used to have a lot of potential to reduce the most unfun aspect of the game being all the possible stunlock situations Survivors could cause for a Killer.
Devs don't care though, only now a little bit to "shake up the meta." I'm happy they are but it's all a little too late isn't it?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3041098#Comment_3041098
"It couldn't possibly be you, blame them!"- you are literally doing that which the Killer is supposedly doing here, without trying to understand why it could be frustrating or how it might have been a bad idea to use a build like that if you wanna look casual.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3041096#Comment_3041096
Pretty much, you can just ask people who play a lot of Killer (me personally I play both Survivor and Killer for fun and as Survivor I literally opt out of using some builds and items just because of how ridiculous they are and how unfun they are to play against as Killer, yet I still have a lot of fun.)
It baffles me how some people on here just read what they WANT to read, instead of what others are actually saying. What I said comes from a place of understanding, because that type of response to such a match is human behaviour.
I play both sides 50/50 and I don't worry about anyone's build, IDGAF. Just because they have DH doesn't mean that they don't DH into a wall. Or any other perk, and if they are truly skillful at using their perks and outplay me, good on them.
-
They're probably upset about their own gameplay and are taking it out on you guys. Just childish behaviour.

The only way I probably survive is because Every once and a while I have a pretty cool team that help out which is really nice
I loop him the same way I do Nurse. Break LOS and be unpredictable because of his anti-looping skills. Though I do have WoO chronically in my perks, I just can't go without it anymore. But I reckon it's a bit harder to vs him without.

I was wondering why most dbd Streamers fit into those two categorys
(I am Talking about those who I know)
most Killer Mains :
Informative, mostly Calm, funny, respectfull vs survivors who don't act like A#@hats
most Survivor Mains :
"Funny" Sounds, Children's Music, weird cuts, effects, talking like a clown, "oink oink" downtalking the baby killers, making fun of them when they miss a hit, bulling new or bad killers until they quit etc.
I have the feeling generally Killer Streamers are more mature and are playing a Game, trying out good perks combos etc (of course there are exceptions) and an awful lot of Survivor Streamer main content is bulling Killers and making them look bad. it's not about how they can win the game its about how to ruin the game for the killer player, completly smash his ego while making "funny" jokes
I'm quite curious who they are then, because the streamers I watch regardless of the role they're maining, are respectful. Do they get frustrated or cuss at some times? Yes, but overall they're mostly wholesome.

Well when a rescue is made, I go back to the hook, the rescuer creeped away and all I see is a blood trail explain what you think I should do? Leave that person alone because they were just hooked? I'm not going to pass up the opportunity to get another hook because your teammate screwed you over. Who else am I going to chase if all I see is the injured survivor? How is that concept so foreign for so many survivors?!
Early game I do that many times as a killer and have no problem with it. If I don't see the unhooker I just slug the one that got unhooked IF they're so in my face about it, but I don't hook them again. I give them a final chance and at the same time a warning to do a better job of getting away. Then I go for the gen-jockey's instead.

How about, no, I'm not tunneling. I am trying to get the unhooker, then the guy he JUST unhooked is bodyblocking for that guy. It can even be worse than that, the guy who gets unhooked can later bodyblock the hook I try to take.
That's a diff scenario. If a survivor chooses to body-block with OTR and goes for taking hits instead of getting away, then yes, all bets are off.
@Firellius said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3037737#Comment_3037737
The problem is that, in end-game, the killer doesn't really have much of a choice, they have to take what they can get.
So the EGC nerf is fine. Hell, it should break on fifth gen completion, IMO. But the stun nerf is just to drop the perk out of the game so the devs can say 'we shook up the meta'.
DS should've been baselined after the end-game nerf.
I agree. I never stated anything about the end-game. From my perspective, after the first 2 gens are done, tunneling/camping is a strat. I don't mind that no matter which role I'm playing.
-
@Laluzi said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3037152#Comment_3037152
To be honest, the only way I can rationalize the stun nerf was that they wanted people to stop running the perk. Same with Self-Care. It feels more like trying to force perk variety than a nerf as a result of the perk's strength or how it was used.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3037737#Comment_3037737
Ironically, Off The Record is more dangerous for killers that don't tunnel. Both DS and OTR could be used aggressively, but OTR lets you bodyblock and take hits for other people the killer is trying to chase.
I almost never tunneled before, and I dislike the strength and prevalence of tunneling as a strat, but now I'm going to whack everyone I can right off hook just to stop this nonsense from unfolding.
That's assuming it goes live as it is in PTB. Let's cross that bridge when we get to it then, shall we?

maybe it should only happen when all generators are done and there is only one survivor then, now it's actually "fair" as in at least survivors worked for it.
That's quite a subjective pov though. Most killers nowadays tend to stack gen-regression perks so if you don't have decent teammates that can multi-task, it's going to be rough to finish all 5. Also when they do manage to do to all 5 there is no reason that 3 of them should suddenly die lol.
Remember hatch doesn't count as a win for a surv nor does it count as a loss for a killer.

I mean why survivors suddenly deserves to have a chance for escape literally handed for free in already lost game? killers don't have anything like that as a basekit.
I just don't get it, when survivors are winning they deserves to escape with four without any consequence, but when killer is winning there is still 50/50 RNG factor for 4k?
Getting hatch is not always due to a lost game though. Sometimes people just leave and leave their teammates behind. Or let's say you have Pig's RBT on and no time to go through all the boxes then hatch is your best shot. The last one was definitely the to-go strat against AFK Pig.

An easy solution would be to either make Endurance proc Deep Wound, and you cannot use another Endurance effect until Deep Wound is mended, or have a debuff like Exhaustion so you can't use two Endurance effects in a row.
This would be a nightmare against Thana,
I mean Legionand Deathslinger. I think it should remain as an anti-tunneling perk.I really think that if it makes you go through everyone, it would be fair to both sides.
-
If we're being honest most killers and survivors are probably less skilled and knowledgeable in comparison to these guys. Considering they have many thousands of hours on it and make some sort of living off of playing this game. Whereas the average player just plays it for the fun of it.
So I think most games will be okay. Maybe they can make OTR so that it stops working once a survivor is fully healed OR cannot body-block, similar to forced penance. Like if they do, fine, but then its entire duration is wasted. Or it simply makes them go through the killer/other survivors. That way they can't be tunneled but can't body-block either!
