I can't stand players that do that all game even though they did ready-up in the lobby and then are AFK just as the trail starts and remain so. I usually kill them and let the others go or just hook all of them twice and then call it a day.
However, I did have an instance myself that I had to AFK mid-game, because I was getting attacked by a wasp π tho afterwards I apologised/explained in end-game chat, and they were all good sports luckily. Sometimes irl things happen lol
-
I started playing as Wraith because he's very fast, and that was great since I didn't have Corrupt or any other gen-related perks yet. But after having more perks I switched to Spirit and Nemi.
I switch survivors after some time because I get tired of all the sounds they make or when I wanna play on a different MMR lol.

The main problem about tunneling is that either the killer's new or they had enough with survivors that bully in the game to make the killer so pissed off.
If you are playing as survivors and then you see the killer tunneling then use a flashlight save.
I have seen plenty of killers tunnel from the get-go without anyone being toxic towards them or being "bullied". Some people are just utterly childish and take out everything bad that has happened to them out on others in a video game.
To your point of using a flashlight save, there are many that have blinders on, and regardless of what you do they will tunnel no matter what.

I loved the atmosphere much more back then, but the new maps are promising
still, i hope they tweak a little bit more on the recently reworked ones, they are way too bright and boring, compared to how they looked back then =) earlier today I watched some old TydeTyme YT videos, THAT gave me Nostalgia, I just loved how the maps felt back then
It looks atmospheric, albeit a bit outdated as well. But I think killers would have a harder time finding survivors on those maps. Maybe they could have kept the colours the same.
I can't imagine how it must feel for Billy's, with the number of trees in their way.

Another gigantic bug affecting killers... what a shame. At least it's kill switched, we wouldn't want sabo squads sending killers to coal tower and forcing the killer to only have basement hooks now would we. Then we'd have to punish killers if they decided to DC or be toxic if they managed to slug...That being said, when are we KILLSWITCHING Nurse for making every other killer weak? When are we killswitching Garden of Joy?
How dramatic can you be? π

IW will be utterly useless with the Exhausted condition bs that's going to make it stop working.
Let's say you get unhooked and you have IW and SB, in that scenario you either die because you're saving SB or just waste a perk slot because IW isn't going to work anyways. The same goes for having IW and getting hit whilst suffering from Fearmonger/Blood Echo. It won't work with Overcome either.
So unless you're going to play like a Blendette and just hide in the bushes all game until healed up, it's truly a waste of a perkslot. Idk how you can make a perk worse than No Mither, but BHVR has proven it's possible.
-
Some of my friends that play this game live in certain countries whereby they need to use VPN to be able to play this game. But this is just something else.
Did you have green ping in the lobby and your usual after you had loaded into the game?

Fearmonger is great for stealth killers! Combined with other exhaustion perks it can be quite oppressive against survivors.

Or they could just bring it back to 100%. Iron Will was for many people -including myself- a huge QoL improvement. A lot of people find the constant grunting of their character to be unbearably annoying, we just don't wanna hear it.
This indeed!
I don't play certain killers either, because can you imagine having to listen to Bird Ladies' shrieks the entire match? Or the Plague's "whispers" being so loud you can't sometimes hear survivors without IW.
Can they all take notes from Ghostface and Michael on how to be less loud, pls and ty π

And yes, I know that you can track Survivors even if they only have 25% sound while injured. The Perk is gone, it is just dead.
notOtzdarva has some great videos for both player sides! I'd definitely look at some of those if you have the time/would like to π

balancing the game around 2 survivors escaping is just going to piss off killer and survivor and make the game unfun. Adding game mechanics that force killers to play a certain way is bad, insecure, lazy game design - if all you are concerned about is the survivor experience then hire a team to create a decent killer AI that plays exactly how you want them to.
When did this game become hide and seek instead of a horror game?
If people are so upset that they're being camped or tunneled as a survivor then the real problem is that person is more concerned about continuing to play hide and seek than they are about actually "beating" the killer and getting the win for their team. This is very obviously the real problem here - even though survivors have the advantage in 4 swf (even without perks) they are only happy if they get to ######### on the killer instead of managing to get their team out alive.
Maybe solve that problem before buffing body blocking and adding more survivor perks that let them get right in the killers face and ######### on them
Do you really have the audacity to say the devs have a lazy game design because they change their game and the QoL of it in the ways they see fit (mind you based on the stats they have)?
This is their game and they can change it however they want without having to take anything their community says into account, yet they do. Since when is looping a killer playing a game of hide-and-seeking? Like what are you even on about? There is no "beating the killer" other than looping them and the others doing gens to escape.
Every match is called a 'trail', not a camping ground. Speaking of being lazy.

With the changes, killers will become more weaker than they already are. All Slowdown-Perks are getting nerfed, while gens become more boring for the survivor-side. These 10secs mean nothing.
So its time to use STBFL and CAMP every hook u get.
This will be pure fun, long have we waited. Come to the hook, give me all my wonderful stacks and then its time to camp the hook + 1 on the ground.
Well... at least this will become the new Meta, I guarantee you. Is this an enjoyable Gameplay? Maybe not, but leaving and running around is not the way (as M1).
And finally: Corrupt and Ruin will PUNISH killers when they do their objective. Fun, right? You have to down and kill survs, but instead of gettint benefits for doing a good job, u get punishes. This is so hilarious, i cant even tell my frustration about this "reward system".
Lmao I didn't know there were comedians on here!!! I'd have brought snacks! π
I have zero issues getting at least 3k and usually 4k, but I always give hatch with my Wraithy <3 IDK what you're doing with your in-game time, but doesn't sound like a lot, and by the sounds of it it's going to be even less LOL.

Or they wanted to give hit for extra BP, but they instead wait there till I get close on then leave in my face.
They are not toxic in endgame chat, or during the game.
It's understandable if someone is not safe and they want to waste my time to help them, but when everyone is fine, it just doesn't make sense to me.
Ah the classic watch me leave move.

Yesterday had a game where I just hooked everyone twice. I even stood there and let them open the gate. I saw one was a TTV so I went on their stream after to say hello. I wrote that I wasn't going to kill anyone and they were surprised. I didn't say it but was thinking "Why in the hell do you think I was standing there letting you open the gate while two of you were injured?"
Some killers can never be trusted. I had a Legion carry me around the entire map in "search" of the hatch on Swamp and it was on the staircase underneath main, and they walked by it and hooked me in basement, mind you after 3 min of looking for the hatch. Idgaf if you hook or give hatch, but don't waste my time like that.

I think the only character I might find it hard to kill is Dwight, but only if the player seems a bit new and doesn't use cosmetics I find ugly.
When I decide to spare specific Survivors, it's mainly based on their gameplay. If someone is injured and on death hook, but still decides to bodyblock and go down for their teammate who is in the same position, essentially dying for their teammate, there is no way I can kill them.
I might also let a Survivor go if we've had a funny moment together earlier in the game. If I for example manage to block someone in a corner, and we just kinda stare at each other and they crouch, or if I see/hear them go into a locker and I stop in front of it and slowly turn towards them. That kind of thing is way too funny to me, and might stop me from actually killing that Survivor later.
I love that! Those kinds of moments make the game so much more fun!
Glad to know I'm not the only one! π

There is literally no players who decimate full tourney level SWFs with low tier killers, literally none.
I think better not tell blatant lies to people.
Who cares? How often do you personally go against a tourney-level SWF that you're stressing about this matter? π€£ And also, yes there are low-tier killers that can do that, search youtube a bit longer maybe?
I'm going to cover my poor Wraith's and Nemi's ears so they don't have to hear those insults! They can absolutely destroy S.T.A.R.S π€!

It's no secret that the least fun part of DbD is going around and kicking every possible gen, and that achieving true pressure with most Killers that don't have a trap like ability like PH, Trapper, Hag etc. or ranged abilities like Huntress and similar Killers is nearly impossible especially with a slightly coordinated team.
Not only is it the least fun thing but genrushing can happen EXTREMELY fast and you lack any decent information to tell you where you're wasting time, survivors can quite easily get a lucky spawn and rush the first gen in 45 seconds if they really put the effort in.
Well, Wraith has an add-on (All-seeing - Spirit) that lets you know the progression of each gen, which is truly great if you combine it with POP. You could also use Corrupt. I think there's another killer that has such an add-on as well.
Nemi's zombies can be amazing as well. Not only do they keep survivors from certain gens, but they also give you info as to where a survivor is.

that's full of fun and entertaining
You do realise that the Archives, the tome, and the Masquerade event all have gen-related challenges atm, right?
Aside from that most killers are running Corrupt, DMS and Pain Res. So yes, survivors should do their gens in order to survive, that's the whole point of the game?! To stare at a progression bar whilst 1 or 2 loop the killer.

Because I don't agree with that assessment in the least, lol?
The game's not in nearly as bad a state as some make it out to be. It has frustrations, but it's still fundamentally a very fun and well designed game.
Second this.
Also, people tend to remember the games as they do with any negative thing that happens to them, they remember the bad games way longer than the good/fun ones and want to stew in those for whatever reason. If I'm having a bad time after more than 2 games I take a break or switch sides. Same with when a game is insanely fun, I call it a night and end it on a good note. βοΈ

Genuinely love how now that DH has been dealt with, people are immediately on top of another survivor perk without having gone against it lol.
So if OtR gets dealt with, which perk are you going to complain about next?

Often times I stun them with pallet but get hit AND they end up on my side of the pallet while stunned by it? That shouldnt be possible anymore.
I really question the distance every chase now cause what the game is showing me on screen, cannot be trusted.
Or is that the rubber banding people are talking about?
The pallet thing has gotten worse. I had a match recently with the killer chasing an injured survivor and I was going to take a hit for them, got the opportunity to stun the killer and somehow all 3 of us got teleported to the other side of the pallet, killer got stunned and I got injured anyways... like what? π€¨

Not just on your end, rubberbanding has been happening for +/- 2 months now.
-
They should remove hook grabs. The killer then has less incentive to stay around and if they do, they'd have to down the rescuer. But at least that way the one on the hook actually has a chance to get unhooked.
Hook grabs = incentive to face-camp.

Why do you think Iron Will is "fine and fun to play" ?
I don't really understand some people's issue with IW as it is atm. When I play killer I don't just rely on the "grunts of pain" to find the survivor when in a chase. Like I still have my eyes lol. I still see a crow fly away, scratchmarks, grass movement, and when they're still close I can hear their footsteps, so IW or not it doesn't hinder me as much as a killer.
If I still lose a survivor with all of that info at my disposal then good on them! They out-played me and rightfully so, and that's a learning moment right there π€
-
Do you reckon the devs were playing a drinking game and took a shot for every time the killers whined about something, got too drunk and came up with these changes?
Like IDC about DH/DS changes but IW was the only thing that allowed you to mindgame a god nurse with her million blinks. Do they know how much louder some survivors are?!

I want to know why they didn't acknowledge it. That would've been a good change, but oh well SMH.
They don't care or otherwise would have. They're making enough money to not give an F. And hey if they lose some of their player base, it'll become free on Steam/Epic games again so they can fool others into wasting their time on this game.

Yeah Peanits go and tell to the nurse player using double range which allows her to move at around 499% what damage 7% of speed is gonna do, i don't really think you realize that all this update does is make camping and tunneling even more stornger, but hey can u guys give us 100k bloodpoints i'd really need that ty <3
Not only that, but let's pretend you'll always get hooked near a pallet within 5 seconds of reach and can "hide" to heal or whatever, with the nerf to Iron Will, which now is worse than No Mither, it's going to be useless against Nurse, Spirit, and maybe even Wraith who is fast as hell anyways.
-
It is a big FU to Solo and I'm not going to play it any longer. I'd rather play Cyberpunk than DBD which somehow has MORE bugs than CB.
BT is supposed to help against tunneling, kinda? How is it ever going to help you against a face-camper, like what?! You'd need to be unhooked first, and we all know most won't go for a save against a boring Bubba being allergic to walking.
Spinechill was an amazing perk for beginners and now it's useless.

I'd love it. Though they'd have to perform better than the zombies do. It would be well-implemented if the AI was able to adapt/counter the playstyles throughout the trail.

Perk names, survivor/killer names, and random words are filtered now I've noticed.

Why is this entire forum filled with posts on changing survivor perks because they're "too" OP even though they're working as they're supposed to?

You came off condescending of course I'm going to take it the way I did. I tend to be more optimistic and hope that talking on here will help people playing the blame game one here understand the other side better. I'm not some doe eyed idiot who thinks this community will grow up. I couldnt be bothered originally with your question because of the way you phrased your post. The individual aspects of the match were not the point, but if you actually want to know how the match went down here you go.
Playing plague no add ons build is pwyf stbfl bbq and Lethal pursuer. I play builds like this because I dont like playing into the gen def typical killer build. I find it boring and i like going for chases. The all played flans so I decide that I'm going to play a chill match. I usually 2 hook everyone then let everyone get their bp and get out.
Start of the match i find someone early and get them sick and leave them for the other 3 on the other side. I find someone out positioned and I'm able to get them sick and 2 hit them for stbfl about when 1 gen pops maybe around 40 sec in? I leave her to go after the jake i got sick earlier. Who was a way better looper. It took about twice the time to down him. by the time I hooked him 3 more gens pop. So with 2 hooks in with 1 gen left i decide that they arnt playing for easy bp. So I switch gears and try to play into their altruism and i camp him. They dont finish the last gen for some bizarre reason and all come for the save. In the scramble i down 2 including the jake and chase a thrid to the gen 99ed which they pop. I go back to the jake kill him and go to hook a fourth. I catch them coming for the save from an awkward angle with my red puke and down one. The other panics and i play goal keeper to the hooked survivor and the slug. Eventually the other is in a position where I know she cant get the save in time for me to hook the other. So with 2 hooked the last one breaks for the gate.
If I remember right 2 didnt get passed 10k and one was at 12 then the one who escaped was at 16k. I made it out with 24k. All in all not a bad result considering.
I'm responsible for what I say/type, not for how you interpret it. I was genuinely curious about what had happened during your match, and ended my post with a joke, to keep the mood light. That being said, my point was that both sides have their valid and invalid points, and both shouldn't be disregarded.
You come across as frustrated or misunderstood, and that makes it seem like you're perhaps taking things differently than they are, depending on your mindset. Because your responses to me come across in the same manner. And to be very clear, I don't mean to upset or frustrate you. Was just responding to what you had said.

When you say not working do you mean literally you push the button and nothing happens at all? Or do you mean it activates but you used it to try and dodge an attack but got hit anyway? The former would be either a bug or a problem on your PC maybe, the latter would be an issue with you trying to use the perk too late or not saving it enough to use it for extra distance.
The former yes. I'll try changing it to a diff button. I don't have any issues with other perks using E or in other games, hence my question.

To preface this post because people are confused: camping and tunneling, rushing and bullying all suck.
This community needs to stop complaining. You do it to yourselves. You guys would complain about killers camping and tunneling then rush all the gens on chill killer with 5 flan in play. You wonder why people play like this, the tunnel camp and rushing, then complain on here without the foresight that maybe they are dealing with the same bs from the other side.
The game that made me make this was a 3k with 5 hooks because i ran a chill build and was down to play nice, but the gens were practically done in less then 3-4 mins. I didnt count so it could be hyperbole but 4 were done at my second hook which were fast downs. So then i have to play mean or i dont get anything out it. What do they get for the rush? Less points and a short match. Just as bad as the slugging nurse or 4 man bully squad.
I dont have a fix for this I'm just venting at this point. The devs incentivize this playstyle with the way mmr is built, and to me that vicious cycle. Now because of that match. I'm done with the chill builds and nice playstyle. Theres just no point with all the sweats out during this event.
Okay calm down, my post wasn't an attack on you, I just literally took your word for it:
"The game that made me make this was a 3k with 5 hooks because i ran a chill build and was down to play nice, but the gens were practically done in less then 3-4 mins."You surely understand that there is no way to have the number of players worldwide all to see eye-to-eye every game/with every single player and their playstyle. That would be utopic lol. I didn't disregard your points, valid or not. I even asked you a question, but you couldn't be bothered to answer. But you do you, GL and HF in your games βοΈ
-
Hmm okay, appreciate all your responses! With its current state for me, I don't think it'll get more nerfed than it is right now lmao
-
I don't understand the need for a post like this based on one game. If you had several of such games in a row on multiple days then yes, you'd be right. But right now you're complaining about other people complaining, bit of pot calling kettle...
I don't think it is a vicious cycle necessarily so much as one's mindset. If you see it as a cycle, then regardless of what happens during each game you'll end up thinking 'ah see, there they go genrushing again, now I have to tunnel/camp to win, and now people are going to complain about it.'
Most games go on for +/- 7-10min. What were you doing during that time when they were doing gens? (Did you get distracted looking at Leon? Or got spooked by a wild Nea? π)

If dead hard gets nerfed to the ground I'm expecting a lot of 3000 hours survivors not being able tu survive for a while, which will make them create a thousand of posts saying "please nerf killers" and eventually they will nerf killers somehow.
You can still greed pallets with many other exhaustion perks.
