I think you’re probably not as good as you think you are.

Rather than casting the blame upon yourself, you take the easier route and blame it on the game.

I can guarantee you one thing, crying on the forums won’t stop you being gen rushed. Instead maybe playing the game might.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/905/2I8SX48OM8I7.jpeg

My first Killer game this season after not playing DBD period for almost 9 months. Wow. No gen stopping perks and I let the Nea go 🙊

I'm not indicated that I'm bad or good, most of the time I'll get some decent kills, BP... But the one time you lose to gen rush, that's frustrating. What make you think this forum is for baby to cry on? I'm trying to notice what people usually ignore because it's out of their hands.

Well I could show you proof obviously, but what would that accomplish?

And I’m not sure how you get that from what I said about taking blame from ones own mistakes... Gen rushing is always on you, so I guess I should’ve clarified that. There’s other mechanics in the game though, ya know?

I don't care much about that.

Killers like me, even the best one can make mistakes, that's inevitable. But the whole thing is when you're not making such mistakes and you don't get what you're paying for, that's frustrating. I'm fine if everything in this game is player skill based (for example playing as a survivor if I die, that's either killer is better than me or my bad/my teammate bad, can't complain about that).

But that one gen rush problem is unacceptable, like chasing people, down them, hook them and it keeps going like that the whole match, 0 time to breath, not camping, not tunneling. And the entity displeased after all of that... I win sometimes, lose sometimes that's all right, but it's sure annoying when it comes to gen rush and when you do the best you could (map pressure, multi-target, slugging...), it's still never enough. Like how is that all on the killer shoulder?

You need to add context to what you’re saying/replying to, because I have no idea what you’re on about. You basically ignore what most people say and just focus what YOU want to reply to.

Sure, "I’m a consistent rank one killer my entitled friend. I play killer 70/30 compared to survivor." - "Probably, probably not."

"You can’t always blame the game for mistakes you make." - "You see, even the best killer can always lose to a gen rushing game like that."

And my context is the thread above

  • @Acesthetiic said:

I’m a consistent rank one killer my entitled friend. I play killer 70/30 compared to survivor. I just think a lot of people of this forum don’t hold themselves accountable for a loss when they should. You can’t always blame the game for mistakes you make. You’ll never improve if you do. Stay humble, don’t let EGO get in the way.

Probably, probably not. You see, even the best killer can always lose to a gen rushing game like that.

  • Problem is that the players skill gap is huge. When someone at one end say something true on their sides, not all the people at the other end agree with that.

Just sounds like you need to “git gud” as @Aven_Fallen stated. Doesn’t seem like you want to get better with this answer.

I don't know, I already did the best I could, 0 time wasted, perhaps you need to play killers at high rank and see it for yourself. You only see it survivor sided.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/702769#Comment_702769

    Wow becoming your own enemy

If there is no counter, then, how has it been the same for 3 years and some matches end with no gens done?

Yeah why not exploiting it, it's fun for survivors anyway, I play both sides, but yes it's kinda unfair for killers.

Try get on to red rank and you'll see, I don't need to say much about it, just hope this post get noticed by BHVR.

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

I mean that discussion came up countless times before. Against solos, most killers are ok, against decent swf nurse and rin. Period.

And yet BHVR does nothing about it...

...So that’s all you got from what you read of mine? You picked out the “3 gen strategy” and threw the rest of what I said to the trash. And not sure why you would state a 3 gen strategy as toxic, unless you are purposely stalling the game.. And you can easy get maximum bloodpoints from this lol, it’s not like you literally camp 3 close gens the ENTIRE game.

    Easy said than done

  • @GrootDude said:

Only true if the survivors are better than you.

True, player skill gap is huge, but 4 of them, you can hook once or twice but they gonna get the exit gate before you can kill one

  • @Aven_Fallen that's a fact, if your rank is not red or purple rank, I don't think that would be the case

  • @Acesthetiic said:

Perks, intuition, killer powers (more or less on your skill), 3 gen strategy...

I could be that toxic doctor camping 3 gen and make the game last 1 hour but Im not that kind of player, also I need maximum BP so that's not my style

  • @Aven_Fallen

I would love to see how good you are when I gen rush you

  • Welp, gonna use it but you said so it's trash now

  • @GiveTrapper2Traps said:

My reason is because I keep getting someone with decisive strike.

    I don't like decisive strike.

Good one, I don't like DS either when there's noone around to chase besides the one with DS, but that would be a good excuse for slugging.

  • @ABannedCat said:

    Cheats with Friends.

    good one :>

  • @Milo But it feels like they're releasing those DLC perks for a certain purpose.

  • @Mooks said:

Well many killers complain about gen-rushing and many survivors complain about ruin so in a way the devs listen to the community with perks that try to deal with with, don’t they?

and I would like to see a better alternative to ruin, because that perk is way too overused and sometimes it gets really boring

Yea, but they need to do something about generator system, they did put them into new perks but all those perks are not useful at all and if it does, it's only a short term solution, not all people who play DBD gonna buy DLC(s) to get those perks.

Ruin is fine to me, it's unique, that's why not many relevant generator perks can compare with it. Maybe Pop will serve better than Ruin for a few killers that have mobility and map teleportation, besides those 2, I don't think the other ones worth to replace them.

  • @Milo said:

new anti-meta gen rushing DLC perks

Where did you get that assumption?

Also these perks are unique in their own way tho.

I have all the right to make an assumption since 3 perks are all about gens. Like Ruin, Thana, Dying light, Corrupt Int, Pop... aren't enough to control generators.

  • Since no one knows and I did the achievement, it's the room with 1 person-generator on the top floor. It's weird since the picture of the achievement is the room with the tree roots on the wall though.

  • @ASurvkillivorer said:

So if it shows 4 perks. Does that mean we get to pick 2 perks now?

Probably 3 if you're lucky at lv50 but 100% you will get 2 perks

  • @TAG

Too bad rank doesn't represent the players skills, I mean it does for those who take seasonal rank seriously and get sweat in the game but even that some of them can't get a decent chase for more than 1 minute and become the burden to the team. (yes solo queue).

I can't even count how many matches I played on purple and red rank as survivors that had people did nothing to help the team and crouch-walking everywhere, or farming hook saves without BT, even some can't do gen when ruin is up and have to run around like an idiot to find the totem.

  • @FancyMrB It doesn't come with many definition depends on how people tolerate it. I had a swf game with my little brother, he's new to the game, he got caught first and the killer straight camped him, like what did he do to you, is this how they get kills? That didn't frustrate me much but for him, a lot. Imagine you're the one getting camped the first hook and did nothing offensive to him/her, or in a killer match, a group of survivors keep spaming the sh!t out of pallets and closets to you, it's so obnoxious and annoying at the same time then how would you feel?

And I didn't say body block is bad manner or to punish tryhard people, what I mean is to make the ranking less tryhard style, like the previous ranking system, you only need some certain points to rank up. Sure it was fun back then but that didn't change people behavior toward the game untill this current ranking system came out, but the current one somehow requires too much from players. What I want is a new ranking system that inherits both of these factors: ensure that people are having fun their own ways and change their behavior toward the better side.

  • @TAG said:

No thank you. The current ranking system already has issues with rewarding/punishing people who do/do not play a certain play pattern. This would magnify that problem in my eyes.

That's why I said NEW, not to improve the current ranking.

  • @Ksoni said:

    Slightly = 10%

    Moderatly = 15%

    Considerably = 20%

    Termodusly = 25%

Hmm I think that's kinda true, I feel like when you stack slightly with moderately it's faster than considerably a bit.

  • @Decarcassor said:

Slightly, moderatly, considerably and tremendously just don't translate to any particular values. It will vary add-on to add-on with no consistency whatsoever.

For some reason the devs seem to think that this makes add-ons easier to understand than giving us straight numbers. I disagree.

This "natural langage" format is just vague and misleading. In some cases it just hide how pointless some add-ons truly are.

I mean with the same addon/offering when they stack up

  • Nvm I got to heal people alone, it doesn't count when healing with others. Done

  • @FireHazard said:

I agree, some offerings like the one to separate all Survivors actually benefits them more than it helps the Killer...

You want Survivors to be together in a group to keep them from doing gens, not be separated doing gens while you chase one person, even if its the shortest chase in the world...

Mori's are kinda the lazy mans way of getting revenge of a certain Survivor, or just a lazy mans way of playing a Trial in-general (Unless you wanna just have some quick fun if you're not being """competitive""")

Also, the branch offering barely does anything... I mean it never did in the first place, but tbh I see no difference when using it. And might I add, why would the Killer want the map to be darker with the fog offering? Doesn't that help the Survivors more than the Killer when it comes to finding them...

Yea, like seperate 4 survivors, 3 doing gens, and you chase 1. This is not benefit for killers at all lol

  • @thedevalex said:

I have fps drops in all the badham basements

Hmm, I guess that's the case, cause sometimes I don't even notice if it was 1 2 or 3 4 5. All other maps are fine!

  • @YaiPa said:

That's why corrupt intervention is highly suggested. That's why enduring+spirit fury or stbfl are a must to help him on loops were you haven't placed traps.

By doing this, you either have time to set traps in a particular zone, or down fastly a survivor luckily bring him in the basement and trap all around (and kinda proxy camp).

Of course enduring + spirit fury are good if you get unexperienced survivors and they keep throwing pallets all the time. I think CI is a waste too, as soon as good survivors notice it's a trapper, they're not shy to repair middle gens and get some attention.

  • @Boss said:

Whenever i faced a Trapper, i could never resist just following him around and disabling Bear Traps, then hide.

It works better than you'd think, it's wasting so much of their time.

Granted, i'm not helping all that much with progress myself, but at least i'm not gathering Crows.

ikr, in my case I just getting some attention, and then when he's not chasing me, Im back to gen repair and just escape afterward.

I mean, the Demogorgon is a monster, while the rest are (bately) human.

And they don't have an option to make a sound?

  • @Raven014 said:

Those are very specific things... there already is a few that I can think of, a trap going off in the distance, wraith's bell, chainsaws...

They already have distinct hit sounds for each killer weapon, so I'm not sure what the issue is...

What I mean is the sound when they HIT them just like demodaddy rather than silently wipe the blood out of their weapons.

  • If they intended to do so, why don't they just delete all killers vault animations, that would be cool to mindgame survivors?

  • It doesn't in KYF too right?

  • Rip, just got 1M BP today, probably won't have that much in the PTB

  • Meh, devs need to fix it, I try and blind her HAIRS and it works...

  • I know she can be blinded but when she vault the windows, light beam doesn't tighten at all.

  • @thrawn3054 said:

Basically what has already been said. Don't tbag, flashlight click, or be rude in end game chat/send rude messages.

@thrawn3054 no I never do that, but still I feel myself toxic when playing as survivors (they mostly hit me when I'm hooked so that's why I feel so). Usually I manage to loop the killer for 2-3 gens per game cause I'm solo and need some attention for teammates for not being immersed and get us all kill. It's not that I'm a professional survivor but imagine a 4 SWF doing that...

  • @drunky26 said:

Just don't taunt the killer (teabag, flashlight click etc) and you're good.

@drunky26 I usually do some circling around the pallets before and after threw it down, some pointings, wavings... but somehow I feel like I'm toxic

  • Theoretically, Billy is stronger, since he can counter MoM, but playing him you need to have bamboozle to block windows, and then just M2 all the way.

Spirit however, is not pretty good when versus survivors with Iron Will and MoM.

  • ABSOLUTELY AGREE!

I was about to start a new thread about this topic but you said my mind.

    @Poweas

She doesn't need perks, you're right. In fact, when I was learning Nurse, I didn't use any add-ons or perks to help me learn her (except I would occasionally use Fragile Wheeze or Metal Spoon + Dull Bracelet). I love Nurse because she let's me give survivors what they want while I can have fun. It's a win-win. :)

I don't tunnel because she's really strong (and if I accidentally do, I'll just slug them so I have some momentum).

I don't camp because she is strong enough to give every survivor their 3 hook states (but if I see a survivor near the hook, I'm not just going to give the unhook to them. They need to respect my presence or else your not going to be unhooking anyone).

Finally, I don't know if it's just me, but I will always give the last survivor either the exit gates/hatch because I love giving mercy to the survivors for some reason! 🙂

@PoweasCan you give me some tips to find urban evading survivors?

All the time my BBQ doesn't show up and I know someone would be close but can't find them, nurse is slow as well, as soon as I blink away, they got the rescue and the rescuer hiding again, I hate tunnel but what can I do when I only see the hooked one.

  • Thank u guys, just bought Spirit.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/64725/shadowborn-for-nurse

Shadowborn is pretty decent, but since the Doctor's launch, M&A got its place. Here is the new build after the End Game Collapse update. (Whispers is no longer needed).

Ruin, Nurses Calling, Monitor and Abuse, BBQ.

I've played with Shadowborn for a looong time and tested it on hundreds of matches with and without its changes, but in the end, the results showed that my matches were MUCH easier when i was using M&A.

Having a reduced TR helps a lot when you are using Nurses Calling, you can also blink on top of survivors before they even have the time to start running because of that reduced TR and dont forget that everytime you go on fatigue the sounds for survivors gets REALLY messed up making them confused which leads for several mistakes on most cases.

If your are wondering, Nurse is the reason for me to still playing this game until nowdays, im a Legacy 3 Nurse main and probably has about 50-60% of my total playtime being only Nurse, Nurse and more PAIN! (2k+ hours)

Nice, less 5 degree than shadowborn but the TR is worth more than that. I hate it when people keep hiding when I'm playing her
