Not sure how this is because I have played and very well for months and can't get past level 10. We are surviving longer than level 3-8 even in games.
This was from November 2019..

I was playing the new killer....
Trickster is a 110% movement speed killer, so he's slow like Hag and Huntress. Depending on which Coldwind map you got, some of them have some really nasty jungle gym/pallet setups that could cause you grief.
-
DemoPls indeed.
-
I'm going to take a different approach here, why can I not pay money to get more bloodpoints? I have all the characters unlocked but I want to get all the perks on all of my characters at p3. I am at 600 hours and I still have a long way to go.
-
How 'bout we buff SWF, give all solo queues a key and give Demo a shotgun. Everyone wins.
Edit: Demo also needs a cowboy hat
-
Entity Dating Simulator, I'd be interested for scientific purposes.

Oh ok. So how do we know when it's real? Lol. Being level 11 now, I thought 16 and lower no longer got safety pips, has this changed? I thought you either lost, gained or didn't gain or lose.
Last night I was 10 then after one match I got 0 and it changed me to 11 yet I didn't lose any, the points were correct 7 or 8 points so I should not have lost a pip and lost rank. But that's where I have stayed ugh, since this I lost all my pips then gained one so I'm 11 with one pip.
As far as I know, the progress bar thing that shows the pips earned is accurate, its just the number that says +/- that can bug out.
(I'm referring to the black pip as a safety pip, so you neither gained nor lost anything.)
I mean, I suppose its possible that pipping has become bugged, but I've not heard of it, you could make a post (or comment on a relevant post) in the bug report section of the forums to be on the safe side.
-
Also Huntress's hatchet hitbox is fine, the issue comes from latency, as I understand it, your position has changed on your screen, but that information hasn't reached the server yet. So to you you've turned the corner, the server thinks you haven't yet, and the killer sees you before the corner. The hatchet is thrown and the server decides if your position and the position of the thrown hatchet meet, and this decides a hit. So what looks like a bad hit to you, looks good from the killer end, who gets their information on your position from the server.

Hahaha. I actually have the availability to Play when he doesn't haha. He works I stay home with kids. We play in our living room on two different tv, he has no where else to play haha. But I died laughing at this though haha I figured you're joking. Thanks for the rank info.
I noticed this week we lost pips and rank although it said after a match we got 0. Then at times it will say +37 or some crazy number haha and of course we don't get those pips haha. Have y'all had this issue?
Its a visual bug, it doesn't affect your actual pips. There is also a visual bug that says you de-pipped when you safety pipped.

I hate BT with a passion, but I recognize that they are getting rid of special cases that make BT useless. Fine, I guess.
OoO is probably okay. Let's be real people only run bbq over Thrilling Tremors for the bloodpoints. Stealth killers are the only ones that do really well with Nurses. Only a cross map Huntress or someone with no perks uses Bitter murmur. Most aura reading perks just aren't as good as other info perks.
Demo got an add-on pass too, and he got half of Rat Liver added to his base kit. Demo's Black Heart and Barbs Glasses improve his Shred massively, his Iri add-ons are significantly better and the Lifeguard whistle looks great for a totem or gen warning system.
As a person who plays Freddy a lot, Freddy changes were needed. Getting rid of the slowdown add-ons is a good start, and nerfing the bloodpools was needed too, since they could just be spammed at a loop to render it unusable with no downsides. Clocks feel overbuffed, but I need to really test that. Black Box needs a buff, its just a really weak blood warden.
Iri head just can't be combo-ed with any add-on to give more hatchets, its fine. It just rewards good accuracy, if you miss a lot, don't run it.
Honestly, I don't care about the Twins changes.
-
Also how would this actually fix solo queue? This really sounds more like a SWF based mechanic than one centered around solo queue players. Having guilds sounds like it would be more beneficial to SWFs, thereby increasing the number of SWFs and decreasing the number of solo players respectively.
Solo queue's problem isn't "people not trying to get the most points possible", its, firstly, that the emblem based matchmaking doesn't accurately represent skill at the game. Secondly, solo queue players lack the inherent communication advantage that a SWF potentially has. If you want to fix solo queue, fix the matchmaking, and give some QoL changes to survivors to lessen the SWF advantage and buff killers so that they remain competitive with the improved survivor kit.

If you're being facecamped, your team has a better chance of survival if you stay on the hook as long as possible. Hook suicide means that killer will find and facecamp another person, effectively removing them from the game.
If you give up, the killer wins. Don't give them wins, that just encourages them to keep doing it "Because it works".
-
Nope. More often than not, I drop a gg and leave immediately. Its better for the mental wellbeing.

Thanks for the tips...is tinkerer that effective for a 110 killer though
I tried running it for a few games and frequently the gen popped before I could get there to stop them. Its why I switched over to Surveillance, so I know when a generator is regressing and when it stops regressing. It pairs better with Ruin, IMHO.
-
@latinfla4 said:

I do that but feel I waste too much time injuring them usually a gen pops by the time I can apply pressure
Thats another thing, you're going to have to selectively give up gens that are far away from each other. Trickster doesn't have the mobility to patrol gens that are long distance from each other. Discordance might also be worth it, so you can aim to bother 2 people at a time.
-
@latinfla4 said:
Oh yeah I use corrupt ruin sloppy butcher and bbq for my perks
I'd ditch sloppy butcher, unless you are intending to m1 everyone.
Corrupt Intervention and Ruin are a risky combo, because survivors moving from the corrupted area might stumble upon your totem as they migrate to available gens.
Personally, I run BBQ, Ruin, Undying and Surveillance. Some people might suggest Pop instead of Undying or Tinkerer over Surveillance.

No, these things happen from time to time.

A stick to poke the killer with. Poke the killer to get 25% more bloodpoints awarded if you survive the trial, stacks up to 4 times. Also awards 250 boldness points.
-
I take a break from killer probably every two weeks. It be like that, some days you eat bear, some days the bear eats you.
-
To OP, thats gonna be a no for me dude. Don't go out of the way to ruin others gameplay, just play nicer make the survivors feel bad for bullying you.
I'm down for a thread about doughnuts instead
-
Also to participate in the conversation, I think Deep Wounds from BT should either be more dangerous, or should have some additional downside to reduce the aggressive BT bodyblocks. (Same with styptic agent, but I don't want to just add it to Legion or Deathslinger's basekit without some research)
-
@DragonMasterDarren said:
Honestly the buff could have just been "is not affected by Oblivious or Undetectable" and it would have meant the exact same thing in most scenarios, the only situation i think it could be a problem is if you are just far away enough where you can't hit the person who's unhooking but even then, not that much of a deal
Huntress with a cross map hatchet, Deathslinger with Monitor and abuse
T2 Michael with Monitor and dead rabbit.
Hag, Nurse, Freddy or Demo teleporting in after the unhook is completed
The way they did it just catches some more cases where you may not have been in Terror radius when you unhooked, but the situation changed rapidly

Okay so I know this may sound silly but I was just in a match on grim pantry as The Trickster. A survivor got hit, through a pallet under little pantry and got stuck in a corner, I was able to go up to her and trap her in the corner so I immediately downed her with my knives and hooked her. At the end of the match she basically went on and on about how she’s reporting me for body blocking, which is reportable; however, isn’t that if you’re just body blocking a survivor once hatch has spawned or something so that they literally can’t do anything? Or otherwise body block so a survivor and other survivors can’t do anything to free them? I’ve played for awhile now but I just wanted to clear it up so whatever crazy report she just wrote doesn’t get me banned.
You're fine. The body blocking they're referring to is if you just decided to stand there and keep her trapped in that corner for a significant amount of time.

It takes 8 knives to change health states basekit. 7 with the green add-on.

So the main bug I want to address, and I know a lot of people have probably had this happen to them, is that for some reason pallets in the game just stopped working. I have noticed this from the survivor and killer side of things. there has been many a time where i will through down a pallet to stun the killer and not only do I not stun him but he hits me even though the pallet is all the way down and my hand are off of it. most of the time though it's just the pallet not stunning the killer. This has happened to me many of times as a killer when I will go for a hit that I should not have got off but somehow I hit through the pallet. Or I just don't get stunned by the pallet. This has just recently been happening ever since the trickster came out. IDK if it is because I am on a console/PS4 but please address this so I can feel safe using the pallets without getting hit.
Its not just you, its a known bug, and they're working on it. Also bug reports should go in the Bug Report part of the forums, that ay the appropriate people can find the information easier.
-
I usually take the bullet, so some other killer doesn't have to. Same with keys.
-
Adding the Luck really wouldn't hurt anything but also wouldn't do much, because your default odds of Kobe'ing is like 4% per attempt, making that 9% (when a killer is within 3 meters) will still probably result in hitting the struggle phase. And a killer would only need to take like 4 or 5 steps back and the luck goes away.
The 2nd idea is really bad, 2 minutes is a long time in game, since in that time you could get hit, run away, selfcare (32 seconds), do a full generator (80 seconds), then get hit again and still get the bonus speed boost.
-
Theres a lot to unpack here,
1) One hit downs come with some condition to them to make them work
1b) Michael is probably the worst killer to use as an example, Bubba is way worse
2) The only perk they nerfed recently (that I can think of) was DS, which has the same core functionality but is less exploitable
3) They partially fixed the pallet bug, but alas they didn't get the whole issue, they're working on it
4) Falling while dying seems like it would be actually worse for your health, so that sounds a little silly, and would be useless on certain maps that don't have a lot of elevation changes.
5) Fixing matchmaking is also a Work In Progress with their fancy MMR system, hopefully we'll know more about that soon.
6) If you are last alive, never been hooked and saving everyone and still losing rank you either need to last longer in chase or work on more generators. So you get those Evader and Lightbringer emblems up. (Since you should have good Altruism and Unbroken Emblems)
7) Sometimes you just hit an unlucky streak. Bad teammates, better killers, bad RNG, bugs... It happens to all of us. Improvise, Adapt, Overcome.
-
Probably not enough altruism points to get an emblem. Look up how the emblems work, (i only have a few seconds before my game starts)

survivors shouldn't hv to do 5 totems just to get rid of one perk
You don't have to do 5, you just need to wait for it to activate and do the one Hex totem, or you can cleanse all 5 totems before the perk activates, or you could just leave the person who got hit with NOED to die. New Small Game should make it easier for a team of randoms to come together and get rid of NOED before it ever activates.
-
The new Demo changes might make him a little bit more viable. His Iri add-ons are not trash anymore, Lifeguard whistle might be good, Barbs Glasses and Black Heart look like a decent everygame load out, since they're uncommon and common respectively.
Besides we might see more changes to the goodest boy of DBD following the feedback from the PTB.

I just don't want to play this game anymore. every game is 4 man SWF and I'm not even sure my MMR is that high. Even with the strongest killers, 3 anti-generator perks, slugging/injury tagging, their perks/items are just too good and communication too strong. I'm not talking every third game is like this. IT'S EVERY GAME. Past a certain point this game is no longer rewarding to play with MMR (at least as killer) I assume high MMR SWF's crush every match even against god tier killers. the first 3 generators go in like 2 minutes. This isn't fun. Revert old ruin to be useful against gen rushing? Make injured survivors do things 25% slower? Make SWF 2 man max? I don't know. This is just too ridiculous and un-fun to fight. That's all I wanted to say.
MMR isn't active right now. So its good old emblem based matchmaking right now,

I get time to play 2 games before work. Almost every single day for weeks now a user who is a afk Freddy has been afk farming.
Literally weeks now and I report him everytime. I get they get lots of reports but how does dozens of reports not flag a user I imagine many others are doing it to him also. So it might be in the hundreds.
Would it be better if I put his name here for mods or something?
Putting his name here would be against forum rules. No naming and shaming.
Do you record your games and upload the video with the report ticket, or just use the in game report option?

Hag is free, doc is free, hillbilly is free. Plus, you don't even need them if you play right
Free-ish. You can buy them with Iri shards (except hillbilly, he comes base with the game). You could also use the iri shards to get clown and Pop Goes The Weasel.
-
Demogorgon needs a big re-work, but he's next on the list for changes if I remember a dev stream correctly.
Huntress and Myers need add-on changes to be standardized like every other killer.
Freddy changes are coming at some point.
Pig's ambush and stealth could use a buff.
Twins might need looked at too.
-
Sloppy Butcher, Devour Hope or Make Your Choice could add lethality.
Discordance or survailance for information
Corrupt intervention to ease the early game.
Surge or Ruin, if you really hate generators.
Enduring or spirit fury if you play aggressively at pallets.
Monsterous Shrine if you like memes.
You got choices, Freddy can make most perks work.

Deathslinger and pyramid head is okay but Huntress not ? his hatch hit behind the walls why?
Latency.
On your screen you moved behind the wall, but the server hasn't updated your position. Its a fraction of a second discrepancy between what you think your location is and what the server thinks your location is. All multiplayer games have some latency weirdness that happens.
-
DCing is against the rules.
Did they play super sweaty? Yes.
Did they break the rules? No.
Personally I would have rode it out, maybe facecamp the key person. You know, just killer things.
-
They probably brought NOED as a pocket trump card. If they get into a situation where all of the gens are finished they have a chance to stage a comeback.
Also at low levels they probably do not have all the perks unlocked, so they just took one that might help them.

So, this is what's happening to me from the moment i started to play DBD.
I have ~70 hours in game, 50/50 as killer and surv, rank 10 surv, rank 11 killer, so looks like i'm not quite new to the game. But still, when I'm thinking of playing the killer I literally get goosebumps. Before entering the game as the killer I would do anything to postpone that. I can open the game and then minimize it and go to youtube or twitch to watch some dbd videos like it will help me to play better soon, or I can explore dbd forum, fandom, even in-game store, but not enter the lobby.
I'M AFRAID OF PLAYING KILLER :D
Everytime I have thoughts that the next game is the game when I'll get destroyed, when I'll do 0-1 kills, when I will be deranked and when survs will write in the chat that I'm noob. Well, I know that I actually am, but to get better you have to play instantly, and I hardly forcing myself to do this.
Btw, playing as surv I will doubtfully sit to the gen if there's already someone else, just not to put him at risk if I'll miss the skil check. It already happened few times and I felt terrible :D
Has anyone expirienced the same feelings when started to play?
I have 600 hours, most of them in killer and I'm frequently afraid I'll get destroyed. Sometimes I do get destroyed, sometimes I destroy them and sometimes its a nice balanced match.
At the end of any match, ask yourself "What can I do better?", then move on to the next one.
Also ignore endgame chat, just drop a gg and go.
-
Perhaps you don't choose to self-care until you are reasonably sure that the killer is doing something else.
Run spine chill to know if they're looking at you, or Alert to see if they're breaking pallets or gens. Your problem is that you're acting without adequate information.

I think my title says it all. Plague is absolute trash, how am I supposed to farm benevolence on my weaker teammates when there is this awful killer who denies that? On top of that it's probably the laziest killer where you just puke on people and watch them go down to a broken status. Lazy design trash tier 100%
False. The laziest killer is Legion, he stabs you and then his power is to stab you, but at a faster speed.
Also just rush unhooks like a solo queue Bill.

One of them was an easier fix than the other. Patience, they'll figure it out eventually.
-
As a killer main, can we not agree on the fact that 1 hook moris were too powerful? Keys are problematic, but that isn't as simple as just changing the hook requirement for moris.
The devs aren't playing favorites.
-
As a PC killer, I like console players, they're never toxic in the end game chat. I'm aware they don't have a choice, but I choose to believe they're taking the high road.
