I mean, you could also just look for a killer.
See a 7ft dude with a red light coming out of his face chilling at the hook? Don't go for the save.
Hear a terror radius as you get close? Don't go for the save
Did Bubba or Trapper take that fool to the basement?
Don't go for the save.
Unless its a stealth killer these tricks can help you avoid running into a camping trip unprepared.
Look twice, save a life.
Bonus round: if its a Hag or a Spirit they're coming back to the hook, you need to get out of there ASAP.
-
I played a whole lot the past few days, here is my experience:
1) I've run into more chill killers than normal. There still are some sweaty ones, but I've encountered less than I would normally expect (in high purple- low red ranks).
2) I've encountered more chill survivors than normal (in red ranks)
3) I've encountered more super sweaty SWFs than normal
4) I've reported more survivors for coms abuse than I would normally see in a couple of months. Seriously, EGC has been bad, people have resorted to "creative" spelling to dodge the chat filter. No killers have been reported so far.
5) Matchmaking has been more consistent with ranks being in/near the same color groups.

Undying is literally a Blight Teachable, Ruin or Devour are really the only hexes worth protecting with Undying so it makes sense you'll see one or both of them if an Undying is in play.
Tinkerer is a great perk, doubly so on high mobility killers. Factor in Ruin, and you can actually keep that generator from being finished.
Bbq is just nice, it gives direction after a hook and gives bonus BP.
I can't think of any other perks that I would run on Blight. He doesn't really synergize well with other perks.

if(killer=="Trickster"){
Tbag();
Gen_Rush();
}

1.) Bill is from Left For Dead, and Ash is from the Evil Dead franchise. They are not original to DBD, so they cannot get Crowns.
2. Not that I know of.
3. Pretty sure that charm was limited time to the Lunar New Year Event.
-
People get real salty when they lose... I don't want that negativity in my life, so I made my profile private
-
I had a similar issue on PC.
-
You could always run Ruin/Pop. Use the Ruin in the early game, and Pop when Ruin is eventually cleansed.
-
Oni can also give a good facecamp if you have his power up. Huntress as well if you have hatchets, you can hatchet people when they enter your sight lines, or deny your prey from escaping if they get the save off.
-
For the most part only Spirits (or adept Nurses) run Stridor. Removing the Nurses running it for adept reasons, you are pretty much left with Spirits.
Spirit is heavily dependant on sound cues and scratch marks while phasing, because she doesn't have the ability to physically see the survivor nor follow blood trails. Iron Will creates a possible case where a perk could neutralize a killer's power passively.
Possible solutions to the issue of Stridor:
Rework Spirit so she is no longer dependant on sounds, or have her passively negate Iron Will
Rework Iron Will so it doesn't negate all groans of pain.
Both of these cases would remove the primary use of Stridor, rendering it to the realm of mostly-useless perks.
Tl;dr: Iron Will shouldn't be a hard counter to Spirit, and then Stridor wouldn't need to be a counter to Iron Will. Either change Iron Will or Spirit, then change Stridor to give it some new purpose.

There is a Feedback and Suggestions part of the forum, I'd post it there

When tunneling comes up, people make the mistake of thinking that all chases are of equal value, they're not.
An injured survivor is more valuable to chase than a healthy survivor and a survivor who has been hooked before is more valuable than a never-hooked survivor.
-
Its a tutorial, its intended for people who are brand new to the game, they likely didn't test to see what would happen to perks and cosmetics, because new people don't have them set up yet. To someone literally brand new, they wouldn't notice the bug
-
Why play any differently than you were originally planning? Do you play differently if you play a Survivor Pudding or Escape Cake?
Because I sure don't.
-
I run small game as a survivor, I've not seen a game where all 5 totems were cleansed in probably a dozen games today, regardless of whether or not my teammates had Counterforce.
-
There is a Feedback/Suggestions part of the forum. I can't promise what they'll do with it, but someone will read it.
-
You can't slug me. I'm a killer.
-
I disagree with most of this.
Long queues depend on other factors, like time of day.
You can have perk variety if you are good at ending chases quickly, or your killer is good at making the survivors do other things. Like Pig's traps, or Legion making people mend.
3,6,and 9 are pretty much the same point, people are going to be toxic. Either ignore it or play dirty right back. Ignore post game chat, its not worth opening.
Voice coms make some things more difficult, but it be like that. People like playing with their friends, its probably here to stay.
Keys are a little busted atm, but if you kill the person with the key there is a 50/50 that they brought an add-on to keep the key on death, and the key is removed from the game.
What normal killer can't patrol gens well? Protect the gens that are close together, let them do the gens that are far apart.
Bugs are a thing, they'll get fixed eventually...
Stretched res is dumb, but it can't really be fixed. So you just have to deal with it.

I mean, if you like taking way too long to heal and wasting precious objective time when your teammates could heal you twice as fast, then sure.
Except you are wasting another persons time too, the amount of time wasted remains the same.
-
Just speed run the trial and report them on the end game screen.

Well as I’ve said I’ve been playing for 3 years since ghostface dropped and I have 3600+ Hours. Tunneling in my experience is when you’re unhooked and the killer is back at the hook and going for you even through bt and ds. You may have a different definition. Yes this happened to me quite a lot of consecutive games yesterday and made me switch to killer and be just as toxic but then I felt bad and started giving mercy hatches because killer is so easy to me that I really don’t ever see myself having to play that way to have fun or get points.
Objectively speaking, if you hit a survivor with BT or get DS'ed there really isn't a good reason to not continue to chase them down. (Unless they're running somewhere safe):
They're injured, another hook state will either kill them or put them in danger of being killed, DS only works once/Deep Wounds puts them on a clock, and if people bodyblock for them it creates split pressure. Plus you can always slug them.
The only reason to not tunnel, in most cases, is good manners. Because strategically speaking, unless the unhooker is a better target, (e.g. injured and on at least 2nd hook, or injured and running to a dead zone), you will get more value for your time out of the unhooked person.
-
This game is crow sided. They just sit there, judging you. Then when you get to close the scream out your location to their friends and fly away.
-
I like watching people fight on the internet.
-
Wraith and Doctor are BP machines.
I usually use BBQ and Surge (to hit gens for extra brutality), then 2 other perks depending on which killer is being used.
-
I wondered how this would work, both of you get an upvote for your efforts!
-
I can see Lethal Pursuer on some killers:
The high mobility Killers: Nurse, Spirit, Blight, Hillbilly (if anyone plays him)
The Early Game Matters Killers: Ghostface, Myers, Legion, Pig, Oni, Doctor
Bonus Round: Huntress for a start game cross-map hatchet
-
Generally I advise ignoring the chat. It feels tempting to drop a gg to be a good sport, but the amount of negativity I've encountered for having the audacity to say gg....
-
All of Freddy's, Wraith's, and Huntress' perks. Third Seal, Hangman's Trick, Cruel Limits and Mindbreaker (again). Monsterous Shrine.
Steve and Ash's perks, Better Together buff, Prove Thyself (slight buff), Left Behind buff, Any Means Nessecary buff...
So many perks could use a buff. I just want to buff perks to make all perks viable in most levels of gameplay.
Also make Windows of Oppertunity and Technician non-teachables and give them to new players. Give Feng and Kate a new perk in exchange.
-
If the killer did have Trail of Torment, its advantageous to go and tap the gen to stop Trail.
However it is more efficient to split up, it makes things harder for the killer and doesn't trigger Discordance
-
Why would a hacker deploy their hacks after they died and make it that obvious? I wish you had it recorded.
-
No. The reason you need to pay real money for certain killers and survivors is probably due to paying the intellectual property owners for the rights to use the characters. There might be rules in their contract that require the real world price tag.

I'm thinking in such a gamemode, it would be most balanced if no perks are available. The perk stacks would be a little too much. Like as you said imagine 2 Thanas with 2 Dying Light.. forget about doing gens.
No perks ruins part of the fun of the game, who doesn't chuckle when you Head On someone, or when a survivor hits you with a pallet just to find out that you have Spirit Fury.
-
As mentioned a 2v8 mode would require new maps, with more generators and more totems and pallets, then you'd have to deal with odd perk builds for killers, would thana decrease gens out to 40%, would that stack if they both had thana? How would Devour Hope work with 2 killers?
Killers stacking perks is not a problem that normally exists, so this would require a whole lot of new code to either make restrictions, or they will heavily unbalance the game.
-
Nope, I don't like talking in the endgame chat, I usually drop a gg then dip
-
Also because you are sacrificing a perk slot for most of the trial, just to try to use NOED. If you equip something more useful, the survivors might not be able to repair all the generators.
-
Thats not the worst matchmaking I've witnessed. One of my friends is a green ranked killer who got matcged with 4 red ranks, possibly a 3-man. You at least got 2 purples.
Side note: Corrupt Intervention and Ruin are a terrible combo. Corrupt (generally) makes survivors leave the generators they spawned on, which increases the likelyhood they spot ruin as they move to a new gen.
Side note 2: NOED is kinda silly on Bubba, you already have an insta-down.
-
I think he's the weakest killer in the game, but he's still viable enough with good perks. His power works pretty well around short (vertically) loops and window vaults, and a main event can absolutely shred multiple survivors if they're caught out in the open.
I don't think he needs a Freddy level re-work, I think with some more minor tweaks he could be a bit better off. So a Demogorgon sized rework.
Maybe reduce the base knives needed to injure down to 6, from 8, change his Iri add-ons, maybe a single bounce from a knife by default and make the add-on give 3 bounces.
-
I'd double the BP cap per trial, then double (or maybe 2.5x) the amount of bloodpoints gained per trial.
Everyone gets more bloodpoints. Everyone loves bloodpoints.

Why do they get the softball version of Concede? Killers have to open the gates and let Survivors leave to concede and take the loss while the Survivors get full points.
If you make it a DC penalty why would they not choose to just DC normally, where the killer gets some pity points but thats it. Why would they choose to not spite the killer by forcing them the less rewarding option?
What I proposed would be less punishing, but not an instant death. Which would give you time to pick up a survivor if you want, or to slug for the 4k, but at the same time would work to discourage mass slugging or slugging survivors to death.
I think we need balance, slugging is a valid tactic that is frequently essential in high level play, but at the same time slugging en masse and leaving all the survivors to bleed out is unneeded BM. So, I think we need to still allow the good slugging while finding ways to deincentivize the bad.

Give them a concede button that works any time! But when they use it, they get a 30 minute DC penalty, lose a pip and the Killer gets the sacrifice plus points in the other categories to reflect what they would have gotten from chasing that Survivor.
I disagree with the DC penalty, at that point they could have just DCed and it would be the same result for them, but less beneficial for the killer.
I'd have the concede button speed up the rate at which the survivor bleeds out, where the bleed out rate accelerates until they die. That way a killer could still slug in game, slug for a 4k if they find the 4th person quickly, but reduce the boring-ness of a 3/4-man slugfest.

So how have things changed since you started paying killer?😎
I mean when I started playing killer, I faced new players, then somewhere around green ranks I started seeing red ranks. As people get more confident, they get more arrogant.
Heres a red rank killer secret: ignore the person teabagging, or clicking their flashlight at you, or whatever is making you salty. They want your attention, don't give it to them. Its bait, don't go for the bait.
-
Prove Thyself saves around 8 seconds if two survivors are working together on a gen? If those 8 seconds are making that big of a difference theres another issue at play.
Also they nerfed toolboxes over the past year, so gens are about as slow as they've ever been. Unless you relied on old Ruin to carry you.
-
I have never heard of this supposed rule before. Also I would think that the honorable thing would be the last survivor gives themselves up as a consolation prize.

Yes it is therapeutic and I have to get rid of these keys and hatch offerings. Less killers stick around or switch to survivor which leads to longer survivor lobbies it's beautiful...maybe the swf get introspective of I shouldn't bully to run killers away or maybe they don't...have you treated your killers in a non toxic manner today?😏
People don't introspect from a large problem. The survivors that bully aren't going to stop and wonder if they are, in part, the reason that their lobbies take 15 minutes. They'll just blame something else and move on with their lives.
You're just trying to rationalize your petty retribution that you enact on players who did nothing to you. What you speak of is not justice or Karma, its a temper tantrum.
Finally, no I haven't treated my killers in a non-toxic way today, because I was the killer.
-
I'm not sure, but I'd wager at least 6.
-
I want silly outfits for killers. Like the Rabbit costumes for Legion. (I know they're from Silent Hill, but it doesn't make them less silly to me)
-
I follow Paulie Esther on Youtube, he usually posts something whenever a new code is released.

I don't DC all the time but when I do it's because I'm either really mad or just want to get out of the game. I have had killer games where the game lasts for more than 20 minutes and I just want to DC and get into another game. You cant exit the game like survivors can. So you just take the penalty or stand in the corner of the map and go AFK.
Then on survivor, I get tunneled and slugged for 5 minutes and I can't do anything, I don't want to be forced to stay in a game because of a penalty. And sometimes I just want to rage quit and just go into another game, I don't mind getting punished for rage quitting, but it gets really annoying and needs to be changed
Please either remove it or make it better so it doesn't punish people that much for DC'ing
Its doing its job, its punishing you for DCing. You're (generally) not supposed to like getting punished.

I personally think if you can see through walls there should be some sort of drawback. I get those two are bad but it’s for a reason
I disagree, I think add-ons should not come with a major downside, unless they severely alter how the game is played. Such as the infinite tier 3 myers or the tombstone that lets him insta-kill a survivor.
