I was going to make a joke, but I think imma just head out.

Cheaters are a thing, when they figure out how the cheaters get access to be able to cheat, they block it. Then *real* hackers spend time to find a new way to do it, then sell it to people who want to cheat at video games.
Welcome to the world of Cybersecurity. A never ending cycle of patching exploits and then finding out that the bad guys found a new one.

My survivor games feel about right, but I might be escaping more than I should...
Killer games are tough, my survivors are generally pretty good. My normal gen regression/delay perk is Surge, and more often than not 4 or 5 gens get done.
-
Starstruck also discourages attempts to Sabotage, Flashlight save, Pallet save and body blocking. Starstruck doesn't encourage proxy camping, it only lasts 30 seconds after hooking. If you don't rush the hook, you can just wait out the Starstruck with plenty of time to spare before the hooked person moves onto the next hook state.
Also gonna be that guy: MYC encourages you to go after the unhooker. It promotes not tunneling.
-
I thought they fixed that last week, like 6 hours after release
-
From my experience Chains spawn in waves, solve the box between the waves

I just ran plunderer's instinct and appraisal for a few games. As a killer main, I know I'm less likely to worry about an item that was looted.
-
How about we just make a legendary skin for Oni that is Nemesis. We make the kenobo a rocket launcher, that you can beat them down with. You get your running, you got your rocket launcher, and BHVR gets a cosmetic to sell. We all win.

One of the challenges is 4 obsession hooks in a game. So yes you need to tunnel 1 person then hope someone else becomes it.
Furtive Chase, when the obsession is unhooked the unhooker becomes the Obsession, Nemesis when you get stunned or blinded that survivor becomes your obsession.
Or you can tunnel and eat a DS, or hope for a For The People.

It takes too long to complete the challenge if I play like that.
At the end of the game I will still focus on the obsession because the challenge told me to.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2492335#Comment_2492335
I just tried to say these challenges are toxic for the game, for both sides.
If you want efficiency, turbo-tunnel any survivor and when they DS you, they become the obsession, then kill them. Repeat and you can burn though 3 obsessions in one match. (You could also run the perk Nemesis to force an obsession change with a blind or pallet stun).
-
You don't need to camp and/or tunnel the obsession. Just play the game, and kill the obsession like you would any other survivor.
-
My killer queues have been longer than normal, but probably like 2 to 3 minutes. (Playing in the evening/night). My afternoon survivor queues are instant.
-
All killers have a different MMR, but imagine how silly it would be to put a 2000 hour killer against 2 hour survivors just because a new killer was released.
So, I propose that there is some baseline MMR that looks at your MMR across all killers. It might look at your highest MMR killer, it might factor in the MMR across all killers, or maybe something else.
Pinhead started at this baseline and cannot drop below it. The way to drop below it would be to lose significant MMR on the other killers.
This could be easily implemented and would stop someone from repeatedly throwing games with one killer to try to go Noob Stomping.

Endgame camping isn't the point I'm making - it's endgame camping right now where there is no chance of de-pip but every chance of losing points.
They're not losing any points, blood points don't get removed for camping. They are choosing the safer gamble than running off to try to find someone else.
In this case 1 of 3 things can happen:
1) The camped person dies, the rest of the survivors escape
2) Survivors try to save the camped one and succeed.
3) Survivors try to save the Camped One and fail
In cases 1 and 3 the killer ends up securing the kill, and case 3 offers the potential for another survivor to have gone down.
Just because you can't de-pip doesn't mean you can't to try to win.

I think they meant Lament Configuration, but a similar puzzelbox was called a Lexicon in Skyrim.
-
No Mither, Self Care, For The People, Solidarity.
I've witnessed this atrocity. I don't know why they did it, but I admire their memeability.
-
Wait, did you actually think that you could get this stuff for free?
-
When on a generator, try to pick a side where you have the best lines of sight.
Keep your head on a swivel, looking around for the killer.
If the terror radius is getting really loud, and you don't see the killer while looking all the way around. Try staying still until you can determine the killers location.

People say it's faster to get a game in the evening as Killer but for me, it doesn't matter the time of day.
I've been waiting 20+ Mins for every one of my Killer games since SBMM was enabled.
Fun.
Its because they released only a new killer, so more people are playing killer to play him and use his perks on other killers. I'd give it a week and killer queues should be shorter at night again. Pretty much every chapter is like this.
-
Oni was a Samurai. He has training and actual combat experience. I think Oni could win without the blood fury.
-
Most of the killers are "anti-loop" killers, or have powers that lend themselves to ending loops sooner. Lets visit some you chose not to mention.
Billy, Bubba, and Oni force you to drop the pallet or go down, then they insta-break the pallet.
Pig has her ambush, which stops a loop if she takes the pallet, and it usually end in a hit.
Nurse doesn't care about your loop.
Spirit can phase and move fast enough to hit you on any side of the loop.
Blight can bonk his way around a lot of loops at high speed.
Twins: Victor runs real fast, can jump over pallets and through windows to get a hit.
Only exceptions I can think of are Ghostface, Myers, and Legion. Except Ghostie or Myers might down you before you can get to a loop, since they have stealth potential and an insta-down.
-
Its a bug. The Devs don't shadow-nerf things. If it were intentional, it would be in the patch notes.
-
I hope for a rework of Haddonfield for Halloween. Hopefully with more Halloween decorations. That and make it less unpleasant as killer.

I checking on my Killer Rank, and all my killer have the same rank but this news make me confused.
I think the news source is confusing grade with MMR. Each killer has a different MMR, your grade is the same across all killers.

What few bugs there are are very frustrating ones though. Pinheads lunge is nonfunctional, my first 20 or so games as him crashed literally every time, SBMM makes matches as him super miserable, and some maps have completely unbreakable pallets. Obviously this isn't a binding of kin level patch where the game is literally unplayable, its just super unfun. Oh and they removed his lines, that wasn't very cool.
They fixed the disconnection thing a few hours after release. Pinhead's lunge being bugged is a little annoying, but he is still playable. And a few maps being bugged is pretty normal. Honestly, I'm pretty happy with how the update went.
-
Honestly, by way of updates, this one isn't bad. Unless there is some major issue I'm unaware of, this release is pretty tame by way of bugs.
-
Blight has been Meta since they made him tall, I think that was around the Twins chapter?
-
Killer- 3k with 8+ hooks, or a 2k where there was a good battle over the final gens.
Survivor- All gens finished and I escape (I'm usually solo queue)
-
It depends on what SBMM actually accounts for when it creates/changes your MMR. Kills/escapes are probably part of the equation, but does it factor in how long chases are? How many hooks are gotten in the trial? Pallet stuns versus pallets dropped? How well you can hide from the killer?
In short, maybe it will account for you getting tunneled if you played well and add to your MMR. Maybe it won't.
-
Information perk. It gives me information about the state of the generator. I specicify this because I think a tracking perk gives more information about the survivor(s).
E.g
BBQ, tracking perk.
Thrilling Tremors, information perk.
-
When I play Pig, I'll slug a survivor who has an active trap if its convenient. I'll also interrupt people trying to get their traps off, if I happen to be nearby.
-
Why did you trust a killer who started off trying to kill you, then appeared to want to farm in the late game?
As a mainly killer player, if I intend to farm, I start making it clear from the start, and its usually because a survivor rage quit early on. So, I let the others get some points in.
A notable exception was when the Gnome was in the EGC. I'd get all my survivors 2 hooked, making it very clear I was winning, then make it clear that I was letting them finish the gens. Then I'd hunt the Gnome, and they'd usually stay late in the EGC. I think we came to an understanding.
In short: if a killer doesn't start off farming, don't trust them.
-
Okay
-
Hard disagree. I don't think we want to make the top players sweat, I think we want the players to play like they want. Let the sweaty people be sweaty. Don't let the MMR info influence their thoughts into how they play.
Lets end the Survivor-Killer arms race of sweat.
-
If you don't want the killer to be able to check your profile, set it to private.
I think offerings should be seen on the lobby screen.
I also think survivors should not be able to last second switch to bring in different items/offerings/survivors.
-
I'd like to have access to more stats, too. As a killer I'd like to know how much gen progress was lost to my regression perks/kicks, how much time did Sloppy Butcher waste, or even how many hooks did I get in that trial?
-
I mean, a man with a mask, a machete, and paranormal strength.
Does Jason have anything that Trapper doesn't have?
-
It sounds like the sound cue when you drop an item. From my observations it also doesn't do it every match. So my guess is its a bug.

I don't want to be lowering my MMR when I go into games with the intention of just messing around. By messing around I mean just going for flashlight saves, different techs etc. Due to the way DBD is designed, I don't have the incentive to tryhard and escape all my matches, and because I play solo 90% of the time you never know how good your teammates are going to be either.
If I'm in a mood to try my best to get all the gens done and help everyone escape, I will play SBMM mode. However if I just want to chill and have some fun with the killer, I don't want my MMR to be changed by those matches, because I am playing much more risky and likely to get killed.
Can I ask the obvious question?
Why do you care if your MMR gets lowered when you're doing wacky things to have fun?
A high MMR doesn't give you anything and its not a visible stat.
Goof off, lose some MMR, then when you get back to playing normally you should gain it back.
-
I haven't spent money since the Resident Evil Chapter and I won't spend more money until they add Pinhead to the game!
Wait a minute....
-
Just gonna say, Cookie Clicker just hit Steam yesterday. I for one, played it earlier to decompress from some bad killer games.
When you get tilted: finish the trial, then take a break. Decompress and comeback later. Playing while tilted isn't going to make you less tilted, in fact you'll probably psych yourself out.
-
In the dev update, the commentary about the top 5% was given as an example of how they might use the data generated by the SBMM.
-
Its probably not too many packets. Its probably non-ideal optimized code on machines with outdated hardware that doesn't perform at peak specifications any more.
-
I think Bloody Party Streamers should be more common than they are.
Delete map offerings, or just make it so there is a one map offering that just lets you pick what realm you want to go to. Also drop the envelope and hollow shell offerings down a level respectively.
With just these simple steps we can free up so much rare rarity real estate in the bloodweb.
-
Maximize your hooks. Try to get 10+ hooks a game, and hook all survivors at least once.
You also want to prevent survivors from completing all the generators and opening the exit gate. That would lower your Gatekeeper emblem.
I like Wraith and Doctor for pipping up. (If I ever actually wanted to pip up)
-
No. As dumb as insidious is as a perk, we should not make survivor perks supercede killer perks or powers.
Kindred with Open Handed can cover a pretty large area, if you mix that with a map like Midwich or the Game, that could really hinder normal stealth killers who aren't camping the hook, but close enough because you hooked the person in a central area.
-
You'd need to create custom maps for this gamemode. You'd need double the pallets, generators and totems. Then you'd have to look at how killer perks would work if both killers brought it.
Hex perks would be a major weird point.
Would Huntress' Lullaby only count on the hooks by the killer that brought it?
What would 2 Ruins do?
Haunted Grounds, Devour Hope and NOED all make the survivors exposed, does this mean that both killers could insta-down with an m1 since exposed is a survivor status effect?
Also would both killers have to be away from the hook for Devour Hope or Make Your Choice to work?

Probably the "Long 'T' Walls" ?
I guess there is a LT Wall scheme's here: https://youtu.be/7MoWjxjEAbM?t=40
LT walls, is the common tile that has 2 windows. One of the walls with a window is L shaped, the other is T shaped.
There is frequently a fire barrel chilling between the walls.
Sometimes called TL walls or L wall T walls.

That would essentially mean you need to redesign him from the ground up, addons and all.
