Giving up is the best option right now to not get frustrated any further in detrimental matches.
Wrong. If you go into games with such a bad attitude, you might as well play something else

Not respecting the killer is still the best strategy for survivors maybe moreso with all that slowdown. Trade a gen for a health state or even a hook state ten times out of ten. That's how I get beat now, and pretty much the only ones who do beat me.

there is no good experience if you play survivor. and the thing is: even though they have data, they dont understand anything about cause and effect of this data. as perfectly shown with this latest patch.

It seems since the patch a number of survivor mains have been screaming at the top of thier lungs that it is now impossible to escape. As a person who is usually killer but has been playing more Survivor since the map, and never having used DH whenever I did play before this patch, it seems fine. You just have to work now. I agree solo q is rougher, but its not as bad as people seem to think. Out of the about 20 games I've played since the patch has been out as Survivor, I would say I've escaped close to half the time, and pipped about 90% of the time. Maybe thats not the same for everyone, but it goes to show its still quite possible to do fine as a Survivor after the patch. Adjust your builds, learn to loop and juke, and learn to weigh the risks and rewards of various strategies. Think like a Killer has had to for years, and you too can do great as Survivor.
agree <3 i also have fun solo q more than before the patch

Devs won't do anything until 2025, just like how they left Clown in an awful state for years - and then when they buff her it still won't be enough, just like the "rework" to Clown didn't do much for him.
My advice, just give up on Sadako. Devs won't fix it, never have, never will.

I'm not saying don't express them, I'm just saying I'm not interested in your opinion (Badmouth the Solo Q) on the subject.
That is a difference

My history: I usually end up rank 1 in both Survivor and Killer, I play survivor just a tad more. I’ve been playing the past 5 years.
I dont think I have ever seen so many people upset about how “Unfair” solo queue is. I will occasionally have a game with a bad teammate or two but not once have I ever thought, Solo Queue is garbage. When I play SWF its a curb-stomp to new-ish killers, which in my opinion Isn’t that fun or sportsman like so I tend to not SWF. That being said, I firmly believe Solo is the way to play. Even lore-wise with the game. No-one in the game knows each other except maybe Steve and Nancy but yet they try to work together anyways.
If you can’t adjust your play style for a teammate thats not doing anything then you are practically giving up. If noones doing anything, try to be the last one alive. And to be quite frank It doesnt even matter if you die or not. You dont lose your grade, you still get BP and you can just go into another game. Its entirely a mindset thing that I see a lot with incredibly entitled people who think the game is “Killer Sided” when in reality its Map Sided, which is balanced in my opinion.
I have the most fun solo queueing because its a cosmic gumbo of casual play and risky play. Its easily the most tense way to play the game which is something that I desperately strive for and hold on to deeply in DBD. Nothing feels better than a tense match that you just barely escaped or killed everyone.
Furthermore, I just want to say I care a lot about sportsmanship in DBD because i want more people to get into the game and I think a lot of new people will be put off by the toxicity of entitled players who demand the best of the best which is SWF and just want everything to be the way they want it.
Noone asked but literally the only thing i would change is adding a Wave Hi and/or a STOP emote (like you’re about to get hit by a car). Just something to add a tiny bit of communication using body language.absl. agree and thank you. You made my day

The killers they play against adapt over time.

It's called their opinion.
I don't care if there are other opinions on the subject. It just scares off new players and it doesn't have to be that Solo Q gets such a bad reputation just because it doesn't work for some people. Solo Q as a survivor is currently much more fun than it was before the patch.
HAVE FUN ❤️

I just want to say.. thank you, BHVR. You finally released the perfect patch. You nuked all the crutch Survivor perks and now they have to rely on SKILL instead of broken, billionth chance perks.
I've been playing solo queue ever since the patch released and i'm glad to finally have some kind of a challenge! Before this it was just way too brainless and easy, I was just finishing my 419th No Mither only Solo Queue escape in a row when the patch finally dropped. All of a sudden, the atrophied, decayed husk that was the Trapper sitting in the corner suddenly came to life, swinging and downing and all of a sudden, I taste my first defeat in hundreds of games. It was REFRESHING.
And all these survivors complaining about how bad solo queue is now, all these STUPID BABY survivors, have you ever tried.. I dunno, getting good? Maybe stop relying on your crutch zillionth chance perks like Self Care and Spine Chill?
Just adapt, bro. If you can't win a perkless 1v1 with No Mither, then why are you even playing? You've had it so easy, and now you have to step up.. and you're just complaining about "too hard" or "horrible teammates" or "literally numerically impossible to win". Maybe try killer for a change?
50/50 survivor killer btw
I can absolutely agree with that. People should finally stop badmouthing the Solo Q.
It's just fun to play as a survivor and killer right now.
thx BHVR <3

In conclusion everything is fine so far. Is subject to change though.
I'm soloing Q and my Survivor games are going well so far. Finally you can try new things

It's not that hard to get the whole team infected as plague if you have a bit of game sense
Plus it's not like the perk only works when 4 people are injured, it continually ramps up. It essentially punishes everyone passively
But this is nothing new and already existed before the update ?
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:
Why are you even defending this.
Under NO circumstances should generators take over 164 seconds.
Honestly don't blame anyone who DCs against this, it's absolutely miserable.
Roughly speaking, to achieve this (in the worst case), no toolbox may be used and all 4 survivors must be injured at the same time.
A killer has to achieve that first and it cost also time and many forget that. (just saying)

Not really?
You're essentially saying: "Thana is fine because BNPs and prove thyself exist" Right?
It's the same logic and it works both ways.
"Well BNPS and prove are fine because thana exists"
Just to be clear. I did not say thana is fine. I said that Thana is a good answer and that is a difference

This isn't a war
We shouldn't go
"Well such and such is fine because xyz on the other side exists"
Like, by that logic you could go "Well SWF is okay because Nurse exists, therefore SWF is fine."
It's circular logic my guy.
a poor example mate. Why not say black and white ?
-
@Brokenbones said:
It's not as black and white as that
Personally speaking I'm not frustrated, I just don't think having two killers who 'force' you to be injured all game (Which in of itself could be considered slowdown since faster chases, esp without DH) should also have the ability to make generators take upwards of 115 to 130+ seconds.
I say 'force' because you CAN heal, but it wastes even more time/gives them a super oppressive power
And yeah I could dedicate my build to gen repair speed, but that's equally as boring is it not? Faster gens = More boring game for the killer. Are you sure you want to encourage people to do that?
As I wrote in another post. Is thanataphobia a good antidote to other survival benefits.....
Oh, and I haven't mentioned BNP's and toolkits yet...

Are you seriously asking why Forever Legion/Plague need to go?
With the right build, gen times are over 160 seconds. It's shambolic.
Are you serious? Every killer has advantages and disadvantages in terms of certain perks and combos. But I don't want to get off topic here. We should all be thankful that DH is finally broken.

Flashlight clicking and tbagging msut never be removed, its part of the basic framework.
Every day i see posts complaining about tbagging or flashlight clicking. Well ...
Even if it seems nerdy, tbagging and flashlight clicking is a mechanic that should never be revised or removed. That would simply be too much of an intrusion into the role of the survivor game.
Yes, it can be frustrating. But there are many situations where you just don't have a choice, and it doesn't matter if it's a semi-clicking or not. That's the way I look at it.
One has nothing to do with the other, and instead of reacting superficially, you should try to write something constructive about it and not just twist my sentences. Thank you

Id just say make hook progress take longer when within 4m of a hooked survivor
That would be an idea, but would it change anything?
@Crowman said:
Camping is one of those things that if the devs were to ever seriously try to make it impossible to camp, survivors would just have an abuseable form of immunity. And that's far worse for the game than camping.
Unfornately this also means that facecamping which I think should be dealt with compared to zone defense around a hook is hard to adjust. Since any changes to make facecamping less viable hurts normal killer gameplay around a hook.
that´s true
-
@TheArbiter said:
The only problem i have with camping is Bubba, because he is the only killer in the game where it is almost objectively impossible to prevent someone from getting downed when going for the save
it is frustrating i know but, what do you want to change? Do you want to take away his chainsaw while camping? ....That would just be too much of a good thing. You know what I mean?
-
@Mister_xD said:
It is impossible to remove camping.
That doesn't mean that we couldn't (and shouldn't) make it less effective.
Ideally, no Killer should ever feel the need to camp anyone out (ignoring certain nieche scenarios such as an open exit gate right next to the hook ofc). Camping should not be the best strategy available - that means we need to both make it less effective while simultaneously making other strategies more effective.
That is absolutely right and I agree with that.
-
@Sadako_Best_Girl said:
It's a core issue, I don't think they will be able to fix unless they completely revamp the design of their game.
I think you have not understood. Camping is NOT a CORE problem. It is simply a part of the Game and many players forget that.
@konchok said:
Many killer powers already deactivate when near the hook. For example the Dredge cannot teleport to lockers near hooked survivors. Or do you mean that base mechanic cannot be changed, in which case, I hate to break it to you but BT was made basekit specifically to help with camping situations. And if BHVR finds other ways to reduce camping they can and will.
BT is good as it is. I'm simply talking about the basic mechanics.

I don't understand why people on this forum are crying so much for a stupid reward. Find joy in playing the game instead of comparing dick sizes. It's so pathetic and immature to feel so entitled to a reward simply to show off. How much attention do you seriously crave? You didn't cure cancer ffs, you literally played a video game.
I don't think you would have written such sentences in 2016, when the Legacy Grind was still active.
