Yes, as long as my teammates don't immediately give up upon seeing her. Then again, that's a problem with the teammates, not the character.

That's the official DEVs stats picture from 2018, look at the bottom right corner. After the first release of escape stats DEVs were criticized because they didn't filter out DCs, after that all escape stats were without DCs, although DEVs stated that including or excluding DC didn't really change much.
Are those the most recent stats, though?

Thing is the AI sucks. Thats why 2 feels like useless although 3 or more with the same AI won't change much. Its the AI what need to be tweaked. Zombies don't really help right now even if you buff them with addons.
Just look at this pic from one of my games:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/I4OPEQO7GGOE/inked20210618212751-1-li.jpg
They get stuck everywhere and suffer from an attention deficit.. shes there like "Hey pal finish that gen already, i'll warn you if the killer is coming.." 😂
The AI needs improvement, true, but consider the following:
At best, Nemesis is a killer whose zombies can keep 2 survivors preoccupied. With Nemesis himself, that means 3/4 survivors are busy doing something other than generators.
At worst, Nemesis is chasing survivors alone, with his ranged attack (that, admittedly, could use improvements) that improves the more he uses it.
More than 2 zombies would increase his power too much. AI improvements is a whole different thing.

Yup, this was brought up in another thread. It's probably a Google thing.

@Kalinikta Slugging is only toxic when you do it at 5 gens. You gain nothing, and the survivors gain nothing. Tunneling is always toxic unless you have one gen left and two survivors. It's not "get good", it's "do better". Learn from mistakes made.
When I said that camping and tunneling won't make up for previous mistakes, I meant that you won't learn how to avoid those mistakes to begin with. You'll repeat the process, and when faced with an efficient team of survivors you just end up costing yourself the game.
You don't learn anything from camping and tunneling, nor do you get better at the game. Sure, really good survivors can get a teammate out of a face camp or even take aggro to deter tunneling, but that rarely stops someone who wants to do these things.
You can get a 4k without tunneling or camping. Tunneling and camping makes the game significantly less fun for the survivors, and at the end of the day they're trying to have fun and enjoy the game just like you. There's nothing wrong with trying to win, but at the end of the day, it's important that both sides have fun.
The more toxicity, the less players. The less players, the longer the queue times.
There's nothing wrong with trying to win, but at the end of the day, it's important that both sides have fun.
What if the killer's fun is in winning as efficiently as possible?
The more toxicity, the less players. The less players, the longer the queue times.
Killer queues are fine, while survivor queues are long as hell, By your own logic, the problem must be survivor toxicity.
-
Yes, which has been explained many times. However, if you're looking for a fool-proof strategy to win a chase against her, then no. No killer should have that anyway.

Timer once went from 45 to 60 seconds, if a killer camped they had no way to win unless they were good or above.
The change to 60 seconds was the worst thing they did since it took away pressure since they had 15 extra seconds to do gens, I believe it was before ruin was even a thing.
That person said abused but it wasn't really abused it only took away pressure.
Since you are new I assume your teammates are usually hiding and not punishing the killer for camping, when you rank up you will find players who are really good, that will punish killers for doing stuff like that.
Anyways, abusing stuff is something both sides were doing, I remember the exhaustion bug (after the exhaustion change) while I wasn't a player I was a viewer back then but survivors abused bugs pretty often examples were well perk bugs, there was a bug that allowed you to do everything 15% faster if you had wake up for example, killers abused the recently hill bug and no stun bug.
Unless I'm misremembering, the hook timer was never 45 seconds, unless you mean it was 45 seconds per phase (so 90 seconds total).

my suggestion is to simply fix the camping issue. as a new player, I can tell when someone is camping, and camping honestly is fun to no one but the killer.
There is no camping issue. Losing isn't supposed to be fun, and putting killers in a situation where a single survivor is equal to (or stronger than) them is just poor balance. That's how asymmetrical games die, when the 1 in the 4v1 is equal to each individual survivor.
Camping is only fun for one type of player: trolls. They are not killer mains, they're trolls. Their "fun" is in seeing threads like this.
Again, you're still new. I can escape despite camping, and so can other survivors.

Yes, because it's hard to add line to the code "if another survivor close to the hook proceed sacrifice in normal speed". Amazing solution, pay me 1000$ a week bhvr.
As for esport paet, yep, some people take this game WAYYYYY to seriously. Bringing stuff that's in the game like keys considered as biggest insult to them, pressing crouch button multiple times is a sin and you deserved to burn in hell. Playing certain killers which are "not fun", or in other words can't be easily looped and bullied is insult to survivor because you ruin their "fun". I'm not a clown and not here to entertain you, even if I actually play clown.
As for damaged part, I don't what you talking about, you wrong about slowing down part, you actually get boost. Unless you played againts clown and was in his gas cloud or played against freddy and walked into his puddle. Two damage state is good system, killers complain about second chance perks, but personally I hate with passion insta down perks and killers, robs you of a chase, the most interesting part of a game, if you make slightest mistake, like getting stuck for second somewhere againts leatherface.
Yes, because it's hard to add line to the code "if another survivor close to the hook proceed sacrifice in normal speed". Amazing solution, pay me 1000$ a week bhvr.
And now killer camp more, because as everyone knows, most survivors immediately start approaching the hook as soon as someone is hooked, and you've just given the killer an indication of when someone's coming for the rescue.

how did they abuse it exactly? I see no such real way unless poorly coded an anti-camping method can be abused by people who can literally do no damage
You know the reason why you want it to be a thing? Yeah, that's what the devs considered "abusing".
By your own admission, you are new at the game. If other, more experienced survivors can easily escape without any of this, the reason why you can't is probably because you're new. Read some guides, watch some gameplay, learn the game better. This suggestion won't work. Never has, never will. Neither will shaming killers for trying to win while you're literally doing the same thing.

Well while I understand that demanding something can be tried some but again we pay for everything to play the game and yes I know they have to pay their workers and licenses. But again I just feel that we should at the very least be given something. I mean sometimes we have to feel entitled to get what we want after all we again pay for everything in the game and also help pay the workers.
300k BP. That's what we got.
-
No, and I think this trend to constantly demand more of something we're not entitled to is just going to result in the devs giving us nothing.

This was never meant to be a discussion about whether or not the dc penalty is needed or not as a whole. I love the dc penalty and avocated for them to implement it but i think timing out players because your game is broken is bs. I never once said that it should be removed completely. You can put down your pitchfork
I apologize for going a bit off-topic. However:
- The penalty has already been disabled, so this thread has been "concluded", so to speak
- My reply was not directed at you, it was for @Nehalennya
-
When you injure a survivor, your collision is temporarily turned off. My guess is, it was a combination of high ping and the survivor running into you.
-
@Nehalennya said:

I totally agree. But lots of times someone is just dct because the game crashed. would say 50/50 of dc by user and dc by crash or sth similar.
I guarantee you that most DCs are intentional, with the DC penalty preventing an even bigger number of DCs.
How do I know the penalty works well? Besides the fact that there's a noticeable drop in DCs when the penalty is up, it's because people who DC regularly come to the forum to try to convince everyone that the penalty doesn't do anything and therefore the devs should remove it. They wouldn't bother if it was actually irrelevant.

If it crashes and theres no penalty i will hop back on if i want to keep playing. I cant do that if theres a penalty. You can not play. Crashing wont diswade me unless theres a crash every game. The issue is the concept of punishing the players not the crash.
Well, the penalty is gone, so go ahead and play to your heart's content. I'll wait until it's fixed and the penalty enabled, so I can actually play without my teammates DCing because the killer did basically anything.
PS: Yes, killers DC too, but nowhere near as much, in my experience.

A great way to make it a problem not for some but all together.
Yup. Honestly, if a game crashes a lot, I just stop playing it. I don't keep doing something that I know is going to fail and then demand that any existing DC penalties be lifted (which screws over everyone) just so it can continue to crash.

People will still DC or suicide on hook regardless. So why punish honest people, who wanted to play the round anyway.
Why make it easier for those who want to abuse the lack of DC penalty?
If you wanted to play the round, you wouldn't do so while you know the game is crashing. That doesn't make sense, because the crashes keep you from playing the round.
@CaenumPlays_ said:

The issue is more the accumulative ban time when the crash does eventually happen.
I played with a friend on PS4 on Tuesday for about 3 hours. It crashed 3 times, so it didn’t ruin much however they ended up with a 30 minute ban so we stopped.
Then I played with them yesterday and in 6 games it crashed twice which lead to a one hour ban then when we played later on after a break the next crash (after about 8 games) gave them a 6 hour ban.
So yes they can still play when it doesn’t crash but when we next play it will eventually crash at some point and they’ll end up with a 24 hour ban, then a 72 hour ban etc which means they can’t play.
So the game has a 1/3 chance of crashing for you, with ever-increasing penalties, and you still try to play it? Why?
-
@SloppyVoldemort said:
And if it wasn't crashing to begin with, you're playing.
And removing the DC penalty won't make it crash less, so if you're crashing so often that you can't play, then the DC penalty is irrelevant to your situation. Removing it will only benefit people who like to DC at the drop of a hat.

Why even play the game you ask?
If someone likes the game or has nothing else to play/wants to play, you can't let people not play it tbh. It's the devs their fault people crash, not the people who play the game.
That's the thing: if it's crashing, you're not playing.

Its salt on the wound that their dc penalty system punishes the players for their game crashing by timing them out. That is the issue not the crash itself. DBD goes through periods of it crashing randomly but the dc timer after is just BS
Why are you even trying to play the game if you know it's going to crash? That doesn't seem logical.
@Miles said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2281633#Comment_2281633
i think it will so you dont get banned for a week because of that. other than that yeah i dont think people should play at all rn.
That still doesn't help with the crashing. The crashes will continue at the same rate, which is apparently so high that it renders the game unplayable.
-
@SloppyVoldemort said:
100% agree.
And before people say: people will just DC every round... like that stopped them before anyway lol.
Removing the penalty isn't going to help with the crashing, though. The game will continue to crash at the same rate and you will have the same problem. The only people it'll benefit are the ones who DC at the drop of a hat.
-
If the game is crashing so often, just wait until it's fixed. I wouldn't try to play a game that constantly crashes because I'd literally be wasting my time.
-
IIRC, the only nerf was in the zombie respawn timer (which is fair, IMO, it definitely felt like they respawned too quickly). Every other change was a buff. What nerfs are you talking about?

Actually no its not. Its rare but it does happen. A co worker of my husbands was playing as a survivor and his son was a killer and they accidently got in same match. When they both seen it they immediately left the game because they knew that could be classified as working together. Also if its not possible then why would Behavior even have it down as a bannable offense?

Yes, that's what "extremely unlikely" means.
A co worker of my husbands was playing as a survivor and his son was a killer and they accidently got in same match. When they both seen it they immediately left the game because they knew that could be classified as working together.
It can't, unless they actually work together by, for example, the survivor leading the killer to other survivors and the killer allowing that survivor to farm other survivors. If they played normally, nothing would happen.
Also if its not possible then why would Behavior even have it down as a bannable offense?
Working together is a bannable offense. Happening to get into the same lobby is not.

What are you talking about??? You white knight so hard for BHVR it makes you look silly. None of those games you mentioned fit the criteria for what I'm speaking of. I've already conceded it's ok if it's a global sale. If you really don't see how releasing on sale is dishonest, then as I said nothing else needs to be explained, cause you can't or won't take the time to understand.
The image I linked you to was taken on the day those games were released. You'd know that if you'd clicked on it. Note that all of them are being sold at a discount.

I'm assuming they will raise the price. It won't stop me from being annoyed and perturbed about a company I care about using scummy sales tactics.
Say what? Why would they raise the price while it's on sale?
