They are punishing themselves by Gen Tapping trust me.It's much faster to simply power through the ruin, than tap even if you can't get hit those hex skill checks.
I just started using gen tapping- it works way better than powering through.
Practice Great Skill Checks. If you can hit Great Skill Checks every time, generators will take 80 seconds. If you tap, however, there's a short period where you can't interact with the generator every single time, and it quickly adds up.

Can't name and shame.

I used to encounter stuff like this back in the early days of DbD. I rarely reported it because I wasn't sure if they were better than me as Killer or if they were hacking.
If you weren't livestreaming, sprinting, vaulting, etc., I suggest you report it, just in case. -

I didn't mention gen rush and I'm not a Killer main, so we're off to a half-decent start. Now you just need to stop being so hostile toward people who disagree with you and you'll be on your way to a conversation instead of an echo chamber.

Give killers an alternative style instead of camping and they will commit to it.
But players will always play the easier way.Indeed, this is just common sense. If you have two ways to do something - one requires you to jump through hoops and purposefully handicap yourself, the other is easy and straightforward - but both yield the same result, only a masochist wouldn't go for the easier one.

I don't think survivor is coddled the way you think it is, but I do think you feel that way as a killer main who would like easy kills.Well, that's just your opinion.

People think it takes 2 minutes to do a gen with 3 survivors while also knowing right off the bat that a killer is camping.I agree, the killers should be punished for this behavior. Theres other toxic things killers do, but this one right here, if you play more than just killer, know that it ruins the game for everyone else. As much as people want to cry 'counter it' they're not the ones in these games that have to experience it.
I personally (even when I lose) thank the killer for not camping (if they don't) and they tell me "NP, I never camp, I also play survivor" If that doesn't speak volumes then nothing will.
Killers should not be punished for not providing free unhooks.
You can keep calling it 'free unhooks' but if thats how you view it you suck as killer. You're supposed to hook people multiple times, you get way more points than if you just hook everyone once, thanks for your opinion though.
What would you call an unhook that takes no skill and carries no risk? I call it "free", but maybe you use another expression for it. Handed on a silver platter? Given, not earned? Skill-less? The possibilities are endless.
Again, you can call it whatever you want. If the objective was to hook people once and be done, you'd be getting all the points for it, but you don't. Hooking people once and every one dying gets you ######### for points vs chase, and multiple hooks- even if no one dies you get way more points. And again, if you actually played survivor you'd understand. But very very clearly you don't.
I do play Survivor. Difference is, I don't complain about hooks being dangerous, or not getting free unhooks, or not being saved. Because I recognize that Survivor is the weak role and isn't supposed to have nearly as many safety nets as it does.

I'd like to think the majority doesn't like camping but if it's an issue than clearly not enough people dislike it. I don't have any statistics on this, so I'll have to take your word for it.
How is my suggestion not a solution?
Your suggestion is not a solution because:
- Camping should always be an option for the Killer. Forcing the Killer to give free unhooks only makes hooks even less relevant than they already are.
- Camping is inherently bad for the Killer, regardless of your excuses that "not everyone plays SWF". Your opponent is doing nothing for two full minutes.
- It was already tried in the PTB and Survivors abused it.
- Camping is a symptom; not a problem. Giving a blood transfusion to someone with a severed femoral artery and ignoring the wound is not a solution.
- Camping is a Survivor-created problem with a Survivor-side solution. Like it or not, camping became widespread due to Survivors rewarding it.
Genuinely I feel like you all 3 are just killer mains. I get that survivors abused a system that attempted to thwart people who use camping.
That's all you needed to say.I don't agree with you on your other_ opinions_.
The last part, at the very least, is not an opinion. It's a documented fact that anyone who's played the game since release can tell you. Back in the beginning, Survivors knew to rush gens when the Killer was camping. Nowadays, they want to force free unhooks.
By the way, even if the rest are opinions doesn't mean pointing that out makes them invalid. This entire thread is your opinion, but you don't see anyone dismissing it out of hand because of it.
lol. you came here to tell me my suggestion isn't a solution because of a slew of opinions, and one fact.
The whole "handing out free unhooks" I don't hear that from people who play killer and survivor. Just killer mains. "Gen rush" okay okay okay. So survivors do 3 things. They unhook, they heal, the only way they can leave is doing gens. They can't block the gens, they can't do anything other than use tool boxes to do the gens. Gen rush isn't a thing. That's not an opinion, that's just fact.Killers need to get hooks, you lose points if you hang around someone who is hooked because it's discouraged. It's not acceptable behavior. That's a fact.
Your opinion is not a fact either, so I'm not sure why you expect me - or anyone else - to come in here with objective truths when you come to us with opinions.

Survivors get sacrificed all the time; it's what they're there for. They always go back to the campfire.
The devs confirmed that Vigo is no longer a Survivor, but we've no idea where he is now. -

The Entity thrives off of violence and sacrifice of the innocent to feed it.It thrives off the hope of the survivors, the hope they'll one day escape and return home. And once you're out of hope you become a killer. as it seems Benedict baker may have become one.
The Entity thrives off of strong emotions. Survivors who stop having strong emotional reactions are tossed into the Void. Benedict is still a Survivor; it's Vigo who is no longer a Survivor (which is not to say that he's now a Killer).

Camping is counterable. If the Killer camps and ends up with more than one kill, that's on the Survivors who fed him.

Harder to protect for sure, but still good spots. Also probably adding more dull totems would be good too with that change, even though that be a buff for noed and thrill of the hunt.Too true. The only time I managed to get 5 tokens on DH is when it spawned on a random corner on the Swamp, far from generators and literally everything else.

While other Killers can't be hit by their own power they all have negatives. Isn't that enough of a negative?

However, I do so to prepare, rather than to dodge.

It is still kind of hard to guess whether your game will be fun or not only by guessing people at the lobby are SWF.I play on PS4, I had to start playing killer more because survivor wait time is ridiculous. I’ve had over 30 minutes of waiting for a game that gets dodged right as I join.
Any Killer will tell you that SWF make trials unfun more often than not. It's not a certainty, but if the majority of trials with SWF are unfun because said SWF are actively trying to be toxic, dodging ALL SWF is simply the natural result.

Some people perceive anything that isn't total support of their PoV to be opposition to their PoV. If you point out anything wrong that they said, they turn hostile and perceive you as an enemy.
In this case, if anything is seen as unflattering, they decry it as being a mockery of their beliefs and call for censure. Hell, for some groups, just depicting something that is loosely based on their beliefs is enough to trigger them, because it'll never be accurate (never mind the fact that every religion has a metric ton of denominations).
Unfortunately for those of us who just want good entertainment and don't mind if the entertainment is satirical or doesn't accurately portray religious beliefs, these groups sometimes hold positions of power; either directly by literally being the ruling class, or indirectly by having great numbers. Thus, they can have good entertainment pulled just because they didn't like it by creating a major shitstorm. It's happened many times this century, primarily with TV series and movies, but also in the form of book burnings. So true!
