How many shards does it take? I've always bought the DLCs with money.

Farming as either doctor or legion as well as trying to farm while playing survivor.
I found farming as a survivor to be unreliable at best. I still play it just for the thrill, but not to farm.

Just try to think of it as infected water (which is pretty accurate).

LOL this isn't a horror movie. If it was then 95% of matches would end with 1 survivor alive at most. That would be so much fun!
If each round were full of jumpscares and lasted 10-ish minutes, I'd probably play survivor more than killer, but I know I'm in the minority.

yeah I mean, if no one acted like a complete ######### it's always good to leave a GG in there, it just makes things better. I am guilty of being a little bit salty from time to time (cause I am human being) with people that decided to be the most toxic they can be, but I just can't understand people that insults others for free.
I get salty from time to time as well. As you said, we're only human. Toxic people, though, people who go out of their way to make everyone else's game as miserable as possible, I just don't understand.

It's obviously a troll comment.
Possible rework:
Your aura is revealed to the killer at all times while you're within their TR. The killer's aura is only revealed to you if you're both looking in the other's direction and while you're outside the killer's TR. This introduces counterplay to the perk and carries an actual risk.
New rework:
The killer sees your aura if they look in your direction while you're outside their TR, you see the killer's aura if both of you are looking at each other while outside the killer's TR, and nothing happens otherwise.

Story time.
A couple days ago I had a Mori daily with the hag. While in the lobby i got 4 SWF and two survivor last second switched to bring two flashlights. I'm pretty confident with my Hag so I was not that scared. During the match a feng tried to bully me and flicked her flashlight at me so many times but she didn't play that good so i hooked her and then later downed her again. I'm usually a super mega friendly good guy [ :---------------------) ] while playing but this guy was so toxic I had to do something. I never did that before, but i spammed the mori animation on him and he DC'd in just a few seconds. No big deal. The other survivors ######### up so bad in the end game and I managed to kill them all. That toxic guy waited me in the post game chat and called me an idiot, he said I needed to git gud, I was bad at the game and continued to insult me.
Guys don't be toxic, respect other people, be friendly and don't take revenge on stupid toxic players like I did. ( but you know, try to let them understand)
I always say "gg" in the post-game chat, no matter if I escaped, died, killed everyone, or killed no one. However, I rarely encounter trials where survivors are not toxic to the killer in the post-game chat.

But if you just happen to look in the killers direction whilst they're looking into yours, it's pretty much game over. Especially against Billy as he'll be in your terror radius within seconds. I honestly think this perk is already very risky and I hardly see anybody use it. I just don't see the point of reworking it. It isn't needed.
The point is to stop giving SWF literal wallhacks. I'll make another version once I've eaten.

There's a difference between adding a level of risk and making a perk completely useless. No Mither adds risk as you're constantly open to being one-hit downed, but a change like this would just be ridiculous and I don't understand why anybody would ever use it. Unless the killer was seriously lacking in the brain department, how could you ever successfully escape a chase? They'd literally see you wherever you went.
ALSO TO ADD: How is this perk not already risky? The killer can see your aura too?
The idea is to use it as a mind-gaming perk to avoid getting in the killer's TR in the first place. Besides, you can always just loop and delay getting caught.

I love when people say, "Wow, you had to use NOED on (currently using Freddy/Legion)," when they never even finished 5 Gens.
Yeah, bro, game ended with less than 5 Gens done, and you lost to a trash tier killer running 3 perks.
Got me.
Survivors sure are funny. I was accused of "camping at a distance" as the Doctor because I went to check generators, realized they weren't working on any generators, then came back to the hook (which is where they obviously were, since all the generators were at 0%). Apparently, they believed I was going to send out a shock from 40 m away and up a hill (because everyone knows the Doctor's shock therapy hits survivors on different floors), then switch to punishment, hit them instantly, and stop them from unhooking.

It's meant to add a level of risk to the perk.

The devs should lock out OoO for SWF, only solos should be able to use it.
Then they'd just lobby dodge until they got into a lobby with their friends to troll the killer. Hell, with the new matchmaker, you probably wouldn't even need to dodge, just queue up at the same time.

Its is an ad hominem because he is ignoring the argument and instead is mocking his grammar. Perfect example of how to dodge debates - he has been in Arroz's shoes and is mocking him as if he was anyway special or different. If its not RSB's first language, then he of all people should know how hard it is to learn new languages. Is English your first language?
It's not my first language either, and it was easier to learn than my own native tongue. English is an extremely simple language.

For your information I dont rely on noed cos the the other half of the time I don't need to use noed so don't say we are all noed reliant. I have seen noed reliant killers but not all killers are.
Not yellow rank either, and I don't rely on NOED. I use it on, like, two killers, on the off-chance that we make it to the end-game. I'm not going to deprive myself of a possible advantage just because survivors believe they should be exempt from both countering a perk and dealing with its effects.
-
@Sharmarko said:
Hey buddy, just stop.
Correcting others grammar is a form of ad hominem. It is not a counterargument and just portrays that you cannot think of a defence.
I'm assuming you only know 1 language, and you're not even a literary expert in it. Do you write books? Are you a renowned author?
The average person in this world speaks more than one language. Do you know the time, skill, and effort it takes to do this? @Arroz speaks Spanish AND English, maybe even something else. What do you speak? Just English? And you have the audacity to say he can't speak properly? The ignorance here is incredible. You literally cannot complain about his grammar when he knows more about language than you. This is not an opinion but a simple fact.
Correcting grammar is not a form of ad hominem, FFS. Ad hominem is about attacking the person instead of the argument. RSB simply chose to step down from the argument. There's a big difference.
English is an extremely easy language to pick up, so don't make it look like it's a big deal. Oh, and it's not RSB's native language either, so your ad hominem rings hollow (well, more so than a generic ad hominem).

It's obviously a troll comment.

Report them in the score screen. That part is necessary. You can also record the match and send it to BHVR in a support ticket to further prove your point, but I don't have the link with me. Again, note that reporting them in-game is necessary.

It's an optional second objective, and a boring one aswell (just holding M1).
The real second objective this game needs should be something you HAVE to do as survivor in order to work on gens/open the gates.
Yes, that's what "secondary objective" means. It's like a side-quest or optional goals in main quests. Not to be confused with "second objective", which is literally a second main (required) objective. Regardless, if NOED complaint threads are to be believed, then killers regularly go from 0k to 4k solely due to NOED, and therefore breaking the totems is required to escape.

i disagree. They are mentioned in the game as cratures of the entity, but not THE entity.

But the devs confirmed that besides the things I mentioned, everything else is made of Entity. She is the very world the trials take place in.

1) Dude survivors screw each other all the time. Just look at hatch and how often 1 survivor will let another die so they can hatch. Survivors are jerks, period. You will see benefit from this as killer so long as you aren't foolish with who you give the deal. You have WAY too much faith that survivors will be loyal to each other. SWF will totally have a ball with this perk because some groups just love to screw over their friends.
2) How is this different that any other Hex totem? Or something like Remember Me or Blood Warden where the gates never get powered?
You are grasping at straws here. You just want to ######### on the idea because you don't like to think outside the box.
- That almost never happens in my trials, and when it does, it's always intentionally done by the person who dies. And, again, you can't know who you're offering the deal to, because you can't know any of the survivors. You're rolling the dice, nothing more.
- Good analogy with the hex perks, with one exception: hex perks don't benefit survivors. The other perks you mentioned are just insurance.
I'm saying this idea is bad because I think it's bad. If you didn't want opinions, you shouldn't have posted this on an open forum.

1) Survivors would indeed screw each other over. You are given them too much credit. They already do this without the need to benefit them.
2) See the last rule. Killer makes the deal and guarantees at least 1 kill now.
- Not nearly enough for this to be useful.
- Which would only be relevant if any of the four survivors take the deal. If they all reject it, then the killer wasted a perk slot for nothing.
-
@GrootDude said:
@Orion all that you have been saying is that if survivors had their way then all killers would be nerfed and yet you only speak of the biased survivors.

Forums aren't quite a representation of the games population. Also, whether or not NOED is or is not an issue has little to do with it being deemed an "objective".
Totems are the objective. NOED is simply the thing that doing all the objectives will prevent.

@Eveline said:
Why is it so common?
It shouldn't be, but maybe keys are more common than we thought.
-
You don't. It's like someone drawing Exodia on their first turn, it's just uncounterable.
-
Here's the thing: if this perk worked the way you imagine it did, it would benefit both the killer and the survivor. If this perk worked the way everyone knows it would, it would only benefit the survivor. In other words, this perk is guaranteed to benefit the survivor, but will almost never benefit the killer. It's useless.

You didnt have to mention the actual minority for it to be used. You mentioned "a minority" and I mentioned the minority.
You mentioned that solo was a minority, and then asked someone if they felt we should balance the game based on the minority.
So I posed the fact that solo is less of a minority than 4 man swf actually is.
I also asked if we should balance it for them, as then being a minority, from what you said, I gathered that we shouldnt.
So, should we really balance the game on the fabled 4 man, seeing as they're the minority?
I mentioned solo was a minority to get The Crusader's opinion on how the game should be balanced. It wasn't an argument, it was a question to better understand their PoV.
I think the game should be balanced at the top, like all games should. SWF or not.

Not as much of a minority as the 4 man swf which was what, less than 9%? But people always bring them up as the normal, and not the rare exception.
So since 4 man swf is in fact a minority, we shouldnt balance it around them, correct?
I didn't say 4-man SWF, did I? Nor did I share my view on how the game should be balanced.

@thesuicidefox said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/369305#Comment_369305
Yea it's called "calculated risk". If you make the Deal and the Traitor takes advantage of you then you got suckered.
It's not a calculated risk at all, it's just being stupid and trusting the opponent, like survivors did with the Wraith back when NOED wasn't a hex.
-
@thesuicidefox said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/369294#Comment_369294
Then the killer is a fool for making the Deal.
Also I can guarantee you the some SWF groups will troll their friends by destroying the totem and killing them.
Numbers can be adjusted to benefit the killer better. Obviously it needs play testing, you are nitpicking the specifics too much here.
How is the killer to know if it's SWF or not, if the survivor will play their part or not, or anything, really? They can't, it's not possible unless they know the survivor personally.
It's not about numbers, the entire concept is bad.
-
@GrootDude said:
@Orion the game would not be balanced if I just said ideas for killer buffs and only used killer sides complaints then that would be balanced? @orion balance requires both sides not just killers(who are indeed the weaker role right now) but you are not looking at the survivors POV you are just thinking for killers.
I'm thinking of both sides. If one side is weaker, then buffing that side is the way to achieve balance. You don't balance a scale by adding weight on both sides, do you?

Well, it's free aura reading for the killer which is really strong!
Within 8 meters of an entity with full control of its movements, for 10 seconds every 40 seconds (at best).
@thesuicidefox said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/369286#Comment_369286
The Traitor is immune to being killed, but can still be hit/downed/hooked (as to make it seem like there was no Deal). In return, the Traitor can rat out other survivors for the killer. However, other survivors can kill the Traitor by destroying the totem.
So while the killer themselves cannot kill the Traitor, other survivors can. It turns them against each other. It's a means of disrupting the natural dynamics of the game such that survivors don't trust each other which will ultimately benefit the killer.
SWF and plain common sense completely ######### on this idea. Just because the traitor is, well, a traitor, doesn't mean they have to betray the other survivors. They can just stay away, since the aura reading has such a short radius, and they're effectively invincible.
-
@GrootDude said:
@Orion you can’t have a balance discussion without including both sides. I did not just gather the whiny complaints I gathered some of the opinions of people who aren’t biased towards one side.
You can, actually, because one has nothing to do with the other. We can have conversations about one subject without bringing in another 30. False equivalency is a fallacy.
-

Same thing as always. People like you want to keep solo survivors weak and gleefully dodge swf anyway.
Nothing like an easy game eh?
I just asked you a question to understand if you're one of the people who thinks the game should be balanced for a majority or for a minority, so that we can continue the conversation. If you don't want to answer, that's fine.
