It hit the hitbox. The problem is that the hitbox doesn't match the character model.

@Orion That’s so stupid! It’s to help game improvement! people find a way to complain about anything!
@PinkEricka Welcome to the life of a DbD developer, where practically every decision you have is catch-22.

Naturally, even if there were, we wouldn't be able to say. We can't announce stuff until it's ready to be announced, and saying, "Yep, there's a trap killer coming" would spill the beans.
But that aside, we haven't abandoned the idea trap/setup based killers just because there hasn't been one in a while. There could always be one in the future.
"Yup, there's a trap killer coming"
-Peanits
Trap killer confirmed, everyone.
-
Because when they were hotfixing stuff, people started complaining that there were too many updates.

I don't know why would any sane person vote down what you said, but thank you for supporting this thread !
Probably a hater.
-
Yes, it's possible, and the devs have done it before. It wouldn't surprise me if they did it this time as well. @Peanits @not_Queen Can you please bring this up with the rest of the team?

"An eye for an eye just leaves the world blind."
@Peasant And letting people kick you in the balls without repercussions accomplishes nothing.
-
And false. In-game reports have been a thing for a long time.
-
"No" as in "No, legacy is not coming back, ever, stop asking".
-
No.
-
@thrawn3054 That's a player problem.
-
@WaffleFalafel Well, yeah, that's synergy.
-
You know how Deep Wound and RBTs, to name a few, aren't actually dangerous unless the survivors ignore them completely? Wiggling is the same way, but for killers.
-
In my experience, people who insist their internet is "just fine" are almost always wrong.
-
@thrawn3054 How so? Camping is the most inefficient way to get kills. You spend 120 seconds at a time doing absolutely nothing while the survivors can do whatever they want. Unless they feed, because then camping is something you would've done anyway since they're rewarding it.
-
@Waiting Doesn't separate them across ranks. You might as well say that the average income of an Amazon employee is 100k because Jeff Bezos earns millions. It might technically be true, but it's also completely irrelevant if you want to determine if Amazon's employees are paid enough.
-
You can probably swap out STBFL for Surveillance, to try it out. The Spirit should be able to catch up to survivors with her power alone, without needing the decreased cooldown.
-
@CallMeSpidey The perk says "regressing", not "regressed". And there are differences between a missed skill check and a regressing generator, even if you want to pretend they're the same.
-
@CallMeSpidey That's not the same thing and you know it. A regressing generator is a generator that was damaged by the killer and is slowly having its progress reverted.
-
True. At its core, it's just extremely harmonious music, which is always pleasant.
-
@Hoodedfengm1n Honestly, I have no idea what the difference between a cantata and an opera is. They're supposed to be different, somehow, but I get the feeling it's like two groups that hate each other for no reason and try to distance themselves from one another even though they look and sound identical to everyone else.
-
Too expensive to go to a "pure" opera. I did go to an open air concert where they performed Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, though. It's a cantata, so it's not technically an opera, but close enough.
-
@Guertena Dedicated translators. As in staff whose only job is to translate. They contribute nothing to help with the real problems of the game (stability, balance, map design, just to name a few) and still continue to draw a salary, despite only having to work once per update.
So, the devs have to either hire about a dozen people every month for a few days' work (costs money that could be better spent on important things, like programmers), or try to hire people who can translate and actually help with the real problems of the game.
-
@MegMain98 Other than the obvious differences between a mouse and a joystick, that's because those kill rates aren't separated by rank. Obviously we need to look at rank 1-5 data only.
-
@ABannedCat My guess is that they lack the budget for dedicated translators, so any translators they do have also need to be able to program or whatever, which naturally leads to a delay since translations aren't exactly a top priority.
-
I wouldn't call what PC has a translation. They put text in an online translator and called it a day.
As for your question, consider this: why do you want that in the first place? Right, because many people in Brazil have trouble reading English. So how do you expect them to find translators if very few people speak both languages?
I can translate into European Portuguese because I actually speak it, but the difference is that most people in Portugal can read English fairly well, making my skill irrelevant. Brazilian Portuguese is so different from European Portuguese in vocabulary and grammar that it might as well be a different language altogether.
-
@Kilmeran Regardless of whatever "mental age" you believe you have, recording your own gameplay is just being pragmatic. Blizzard has a much bigger budget and a much greater number of staff members at their disposal than BHVR, by far. So yeah, they can afford servers that record everything and the staff to go through all those events to ascertain if reports are accurate or not.
However, automated messages don't prove anything. Steam sends me those as well, even if nothing has been done.
-
@Kilmeran People don't have dash cams so they can upload "funny" car crashes onto YouTube. They have them for insurance purposes. Recording your own gameplay is based on the same principle, so you can stop with the ageism.
-
@Ash_Housewares Not enough killers at high ranks. Seems like what you'd expect.
-
This is why I don't usually play PvP games. Most people seem to confuse "being an #########" with "being competitive".
-
@BlazeNightash But the only hard data we have that's of any use comes from the developers. Self-reported stats are a drop in the ocean.
-
@BlazeNightash So he had access to the hard data that the devs recently gave us before the data was made available?
-
@BlazeNightash Hard data is more accurate than any one player's opinion.
-
@NuclearBurrito Even the game length isn't that significant due to hatch standoffs and farming matches (which most often occur when one or more survivors don't make it into the trial and when one or more survivors disconnect).
-
@Saekuura Playing to win is not a negative trait. It's the foundation of PvP games as a whole - someone has to win and someone has to lose. If you didn't mind being in the latter group, you wouldn't be chastising the former.
-
@Swiftblade131 No, but since you either refuse to or can't have a conversation on the subject without resorting to insults and dodges, this is pointless.
-
@Swiftblade131 If you wanted to leave the discussion, you could've just stopped replying.
-
@Swiftblade131 Same principle - why should people stop complaining if their grievances not only have been ignored, but have actually gotten worse over time?
-
@Swiftblade131 "The fire has been burning for 12 hours and you're still complaining? Just let the entire forest burn already."
-
@Warlock_2020 Wrong. At least on PC, it has almost always been the case that survivor queues are long and killer queues are short, if there's a disruption in the queues. Exceptions include the period after a rank reset and certain events.
-
Two different statistics from two different time periods? Is it that odd that things change?
-
@WaffleFalafel Are you saying killers should have absolutely no synergy with the perks they pick?
-
@Galklife That's not how it works. 3-man SWF must necessarily be accompanied by one solo survivor. This means that for every 3-man SWF lobby there's one solo survivor, meaning that the MAXIMUM POSSIBLE number of lobbies containing just solo survivors is roughly 40%.
Furthermore, assuming the game doesn't discriminate between 2-man SWF and two solo survivors when it comes to queues, this means that roughly half of each group will be paired together. Since 28,62% of all lobbies have 2-man SWF, this means about 14% of all lobbies will be 2-man SWF+2-man SWF, with the other 14% being 2-man SWF+solo, which brings the total number of SOLO ONLY lobbies down to 25%, give or take.
-
@drunky26 Survivors cared when some people dared to even hint that the devs consider the possibility of SWF being removed, claiming that the Four Horsemen would show up and wipe out the game. Now that the stats show survival rates are above 50% for the best survivors and that SWF is being played less, suddenly, it's "who cares?".
-
No, and no.
-
@Delfador Zero, on both sides. I play for kills/escapes, not BP.
EDIT: Also, I never said it was likely or realistic. In fact, I said the fact that it was hard to do was only logical, since you can't heal unless you lose chases.
-
@Delfador 3 hooks per kill, not 3 hooks total, as well as hooking every survivor once. Since that's the killer's objective, I'd say maxing out points in this manner should be easier than maxing out points for failing to win chases.
-
5 BPS, gen rush.
It works both ways.
-
Takes 14 seconds to cleanse. The time it takes to find is smaller than the time it takes for the killer to find, down, and hook a survivor.
-
@CallMeSpidey You need more than two full minutes, not to mention the time it took the killer to find, down, and hook the survivor? Generators take 80 seconds, max.
