I know, but it is stupid that it even exists.

Damn, we really be reaching for the stars with this one. Removing all the tech's in this game really gonna kill it for old players even more than it is now lmfao. Idk how you have issues with this when you can literally hear footsteps, see scratch marks, and look the other direction to see if they did or not.
Legit if you are still falling for this in 2019 maybe you just aren't that good at the video game and need to get better. If the killer knows you'll do this it's a free hit for them.
I am not falling for this, I never said that or mentioned anything related.
I'm just saying that it is a game flaw that survivors are able to do that and new killers will fall for it without a good reason for it to exist.
-
@arslaN said:
I don't have any problems with it. It is super easy to avoid as killer if you have ears. If you keep falling for it over and over it is your fault.
I've never fell for it, at least, as i can remember everyone that tried or got stuck with me or i could hear them vaulting or walking and then a free hit.
That's not the point, the point is that there are many mechanics like these that favour survivors a lot like the hook tech also. The survivor on the hook is immortal and can be your shield and then use borrowed time.
It shouldn't exist, even tho it is easy to counter or avoid, thats the point.

I personally just kind of dislike how EVERY action seems to lock the camera in place for the killer.
I'm stepping over a low window ledge, I can do that very easily while turning my head to the left or the right rather than stare straight forward.
And yet survivors can do a full parkour movement over the same ledge, and have their neck wrenched 180 like an owl to watch the killer's movements. Yes, there's a third person camera vs first person, but the first person camera doesn't need to be so goddamn locked half the game to FORCE you to lose sight of people.
Never thought about it, but now that it is mentioned, you're right. BUT on the other hand it is needed for balance purposes. They just need to fix the survivor's and killer's hitboxes and simple mechanics like having no collision while vaulting.
For a better vision, I would recommend making shadowborn tier 3 base and rework the perk completely.
-
It happens not just with survivors, but with killers too.
Just don't insult the devs in the forums if you don't want to be banned by a mod. Give constructive criticism. They mess up a lot of times, but don't insult them, at least not that much xD
This comes from a person who mains legion and waited 7 months for a change after what they did to that character.

@concious_consumer said:
LMAO. And why being hit 2 miles from window or pallet is a thing? Get tech'd while I'm getting dedicated'd
Killers also get dedicated serverd and have to deal with autoaim and hitboxes too.
In the killer vision, he hitted you and your vision is very very slightly after the killer's so that is why you get those hits.
Now, lag and a slight delay will ALWAYS happen in all online games, deal with it. But not having collision while vaulting is a game flaw.

Jesus Christ. Imagine complaining about Window tech, That ######### doesn't work on good killers.
Only tech that needs to go is the new Hook tech. I'm a survivor main and that's completely BS, If I didn't know about this I would have lunged normally as a killer because I know they took out the hitbox for hooked survivors but apparently not.
I, personally, never been juked by it, so my opinion on this thread is based on this video.
Put it at 0:45 and you will see why i'm bragging about it. I don't know if they patched it because a friend of mine tried to do it yesterday and it didn't work at any time. Maybe he was doing it wrong? Again, he was practising.

@oxygen said:
I see your point but I gotta disagree, to me it's in the category as a killer hiding their red light and stuff like that. It's a trick that makes chases more interesting, and it only takes a moment to check if they did it to you if you're unsure (I guess on consoles doing the turn might not be as instant as on PC though?).
It's really not something that should work consistently against a killer, if a survivor does it once the killer should be on the lookout for it and it inherently makes the survivor gain less distance than if they just ran normally after vaulting.
The problem is that veing juked by a window tech doesnt leave feedback for you to know that they have that gamestyle.
Its the opposite of hiding your red stain because it makes part of mindgames and has counterplay but if you window tech and tou are good at it, it will give you a free health state each match because there is no way for a killer to tell where tou went.
Also, it doeant make sense for you to become immaterial when vaulting. Why do you become immaterial, in the first place?

Personally, I'd hate to see all the little pieces of "tech" removed from the game, I think little things like this make the game more fun and enjoyable...same as the harvester tech which just got restored.
I play both sides(im a killer main tho so im kinda biased, i guess...?) and that friend of mine that i talked before loves to do these things, he likes to hummiliate killers but i feel bad for those poor guys that get really trolled sometimes.
Im a red rank killer so i know how unfun it is to face it. Its fun for survivors, not for killers BUT i would feel ok with this if killers had things like these too.
Ex: juggling people to avoid ds, hillbilly doing drifts to go up some walls (looking at you, bloodlodge), etc.
I still think that these are cheap things that make killer even more stressing rhan it already is.

Omg this needs to be done to legion ASAP lol. I agree with ppl that have AMAZING BIG BRAIN buffs and reworks for legion. Like idk why the devs have legion tied up . Like the potential they can have is pretty big.
The devs are too scared of making changes to the legion because the killer can become too overpowered/underpowered with a slight change.
Legion is in that edge unfortunately and the DBD devs don't test that much so we have a big problem here.
I hope they change legion in the next patch or im out for good.

That or they're even more disconnected from the community than even I have thought.

They could delete/disable Haddonfield and that in itself would be an improvement.
My bet is on Sheltered Woods, though. Which wouldn't be bad either, and is probably one of the easier maps to give much needed TLC to.
What do you mean? Haddonfield got reworked this patch (3.4.0).

The Legion feels nice now. I don't really like a couple of these suggestions. You want to add more work for the survivors to do while you take away the effort from the Legion. Adding skillschecks while the Legion can miss FF and still continue to run sounds like that to me and it is a really bad suggestion. There has to be some skill to play a better killer. If you miss an atack while u use your power at faster movement speed you should definitely get punished at max. Imagine wraith missing his initial sneak atack and he gets another speed up for the lulz. After all the Frenzy not only damages you with one atack, you get to run again, but the surivivor also have to mend.
The Deep wounds changes also I don't like. You literally contradict yourself in p.1 and p.2. I am not sure even if you have noticed ? "While suffering from deep wounds survivors cannot heal" -> " Mending is now considered a healing action" So survivor cannot heal but they have to since mending is healing now ? So how do we do that good sir ? Anyway that is a bad idea again as the dev said because of Nurses and and trillion of others perks that reduce healing speed, same for gens /everyone hates that about current so called forever Freddy/ so it is a big NO from me. It is just a way too easy power to apply to add anything beneficial to it

That is too much overthinking because survivors cannot heal, they must mend which is something really similar to healing. They just can't heal others, that's the point.
Legion has too much punishment for very little mistakes and survivors have a very easy time to counter his power by multiple ways. Decreasing that gap seems the good way to me, not the bad one.

I have actually proposed a simular thing in my Legion Rework suggestion post
You can look at it if you are interested
I like some parts of your idea but there are things missing like QoL changes and other things that i wouldn't add. Like the deep wounds changes except for the one that reduces the mend time from 15 to 12 seconds, but it would only be good if feral frenzy got any buffs and lethality.
It's a good mindset, but numbers and stuff are a bit away from my liking.
After all, it's only my opinion so they can be good and i'm not seeing it.

Though I will say I like the Tier 3 madness version of DW better than what we have now. So I disagree with this part. I like the changes they put in for it... THOUGH, I'm still of the mind that Deep Wounds should be removed from Legion completely as it's tied to Borrowed Time and makes everything a huge mess. Why they tied those two together and thought it was a good idea is beyond me.
I thought about making deep wounds like that before but it becomes too similar with t3 madness and makes it too obnoxious to play against.
It's very boring to be in t3 madness and doctor has a bad time putting survivors on it. Legion with the new speed can make survivors deep wounded much more easier than doctor can put survivors at tier 3.
It would be too consistent and people would dc even with the punishments now.
That's my way to see it.
-
I forgot to say this.
"Hitting a survivor who is already afflicted with deep wounds will significantly shorten The Legion's fatuige"
This encourages tunnel and not spreading hits since deep wounds is almost meaningless now, so i propose this:
Hitting a survivor who is already afflicted with deep wounds will significantly shorten The Legion's fatigue for each survivor put in deep wounds by this feral frenzy.
-
I love all the changes done except the ones to deep wounds.
Scrap all those ideas that you posted about deep wounds and make it so deep wounds bar doesn't reduce within a 20 meter fixed radius. And maintain the skillchecks on it.

I'm tired of seeing the "Key has no counter play" argument. It surely does. I rarely see keys actually get used while playing survivor, since the majority of games the killer camps or hard tunnels off the hook. well over 80% of my games end with the hatch or it being closed and the last survivor dying. Just because you don't want to use the counter-play to it, doesn't mean there isn't one.
However, Mori's have no counter play, other than usual "don't get caught git gud huehue" argument. Same can be said about keys. But... Without keys, the further dwindling survivor pbase is going to drop more. Why? Per game survival % is already low. They took away insta heals, gave us a pocket BT which is pretty trash. Literally, the only thing OP about Survivors at all, is SWF and voice comms.
Its not even about pipping. Its the quality of games. Now we wait ages on both sides just to get a face full of BM. Meanwhile people are throwing money at the dev for trashy cosmetics... and they will continue because people are ducks.
I've never talked about moris and i don't like them because they are too good for what they should do. I just use them when i have a series of 10+ really frustrating games.
Anyways tell me the counter to keys because i really want to know.
If it is like you are saying and the killer is tunneling and camping, you have plenty of time to do gens and then escape through the hatch with a key.
Survival rate doesn't mean much, pretty much like having a 4k at red ranks. There are many factors that affect that, also, i don't know where you're getting that "survival rate is already low" because devs only posted graphics on killing % on all platforms and they seem that every killer has the 2k per game as intended (except freddy that has more and nurse that has less).

That right there would be a non sequitur. Just because one system is not so friendly to new players at the moment doesn't mean that we don't care about new players when we try to make something else more intuitive. What we're aiming to eliminate is the question of, "Does X work with Y?" Like the example given, why does Sloppy Butcher work with Frenzy while NOED does not? Both activate on basic attacks, so why are they different? Having each power work on a case by case basis would mean you'd either have to look it up or test it out for each killer.
So then why not give legion buffs that actually make up for it?
Like a reduced fatigue from 4 to 3, a reduced cooldown from 24 to 15, or let it be used at X amount of bar, or remove the thing that drops the power when you basic attack, or making it lethal in a way that has counterplay?
A slightly increased movement speed that doesn't hurt anyone making them need only 12 seconds to mend and a vault buff isn't gonna make for it. And his power basically has no sinergy with almost any perk.
Why isn't the consistency based around power hits too? Making a good description to ensure that the legion's attacks don't apply exposed. I'm not talking just for legion, but for all killers in general.

If they revert everything without the moonwalking exploit, believe me he will be viable qt red ranks. I was a legion main before his rework and I know his potential.
Along with what you said, missing a hit would drop the power and put you to fatigue and increase the duration from 6 to 8 seconds and he would be mid tier i think.
Why stop the power when missing a hit? It's the only way survivors have to counter him if he vaults windows and pallets. Also removing aim assist while in Feral Frenzy would be good to help with the counter.
This would be a really easy fix instead of what they did to him.
For deep wounds, it should only go down when within a 20 meter FIXED radius or while mending.

Yeah, I've also fought against the nerfs and gave them good ideas on how to fix the legion from the beggining, when the update happened.
Yeah, you've made a giant discussion with people's ideas.

Not like those guys that think that 4ks will make a killer good. It doesn't matter at all.

I'm just waiting for the hotfix/mid-chapter patch to take my final word on DBD, being a legion main that waited too long for a change that got me stunned of how... (idk i can't describe it) it was.
I feel like i got slapped in the face by behaviour.
I played a few games with legion now, even tho they feel better to use, you have no stall potential and the punishment that comes in the end or if you miss a hit is very frustrating. These factors completely overdue the buffs that they gave to make them feel better to use.
The power is just useless for everything.
If they don't change anything for the better, it's the final gg from me in dbd.

I quit today too. I just no longer have any faith in BHVR.
I'm thinking about the same after seeing what they did to legion again. When was it a good idea to make the mend not stop while sprinting?
- Gen rushing isn't fixed. I don't understand why the generators don't start the match blocked for 1 minute so the killer can find someone and start the chase with it.
- Looping is stupid because survivors don't bump when running into a wall when facing another direction.
- Tunneling.
- Camping.
- What they did to legion...again.
- Decisive strike isn't fixed yet, making it disable when another survivor is hooked/downed idk one of these.
- Dead hard shouldn't make you avoid basic attacks.
- Too many useless perks for both sides.
- Too many horrible maps for killer and some for survivor.
- Destroying nurse's fun and add-ons.
- Borrowed time getting buffs almost every patch.
- Hex:Ruin is a must if you want to have fun but that perk is not interactive for a killer.
- No variety of killer builds because you need slowdown perks if you want to have time to play.
- Bad hitboxes, bad mechanics (like grabbing that get stopped in the middle of the animation)
- Survivor perks rewarding bad play
- SWF nightmare
- Overall very stressing game for both sides (mainly killer, but survivor isn't that far)
- Game's scary identity is gone, now its more of a cat and mouse BM each other type of game that lasts 5 minutes
- Horrible rank system
- Horrible emblem system
- The best feedback is ignored
- Every patch 20+ bugs, being very generous
- Taking too much time to make changes
- Band-aid fixes that lead to even more problems
- Fix the FOV, make shadowborn permanent and rework the perk
- Increase the distance between lockers and windows so the survivors don't jump into it instead of vaulting, causing them a hook state
- Fix ace's no grunts of pain sound
- After waiting 7 months for changes this is what we get as legion mains
- Totems spawning in the middle of the survivors
- Prove thyself
- Toolboxes
- Sabotage mechanic is useless
- No secondary objective
- Keys have no counterplay
I've lost faith in BHVR too.

"Deep Wound timer will no longer go down when Sprinting"
I need help to understand this change as I don't play Legion and havent played since the patch.
Does this means a deep wounded survivor can run infinitely without going down? Isn't this... Broken?
Now as a survivor you can control when you go down, like I get deep wounded, sprint until I find someone else and then let go and get recover pretty fast, obviously waiting for the killer to be far or busy with someone else.
This sounds like a big nerf to the Legion.
Again, I do not play Legion and I have not played the last patch. So if anyone could confirm/deny my post I'd be grateful.

I think annoying is the more accurate word. Constant max volume heartbeat, screaming periodically (that can interrupt your vault), spark static effects all over your screen, skillchecks in random places, constant red stain on your back, and the odd hostage Doc strat.
These are the kind of things that make him annoying, not strong. Like someone else said they probably want to tone this down, and buff his actual strength.
I agree with that. But i saw peanits answer on a discussion to someone or a dev Q&A on the forums saying that they don't plan on buffing him.
Of course they can change that idea because it was a while ago. But still, it's a possibility.

Whats wrong with that?
Adding cooldowns to a power that is a big part of the identity of a killer is basically denying them their use so it is not fun. I'm playing that killer, so using their power is why i played that killer. The killer's gamestyles change around that.

They just got a huge buff recently, BHVR even listened to your feedback by making the button add-ons better. 😁
Removing the stall potential and a variety of builds(decreases the fun by a MILE) for a slight ms buff? Wut?
Also, making 3 add-ons better and the power worse makes 2.5 problems:
- Makes the killer more add-ons dependant.
- Changes nothing to add-on less players like me 90% of the time.
0.5- Maintains the fact that most of their add-ons are useless/do almost nothing or actually harm you.
I'm not complaining about the buffs, i'm complaining about the unnecessary nerfs that were not needed.
I don't think that removing the on-hit effects is consistency because feral frenzy makes legion run faster and ADDS a status effect to their basic attacks. "But basic attacks can down someone and feral frenzy can't" -> another problem of the "rework" done in the patch 2.7.0.
The pig's dash completely changes things even tho it's power related because she crouches and has a charge time to make a dash that covers a gigantic amount of distance.
Legion just lunges. This would be justified if wraith also didn't apply on-hit effects when coming out of the power, spirit is the same, nurse is the same, tier 3 myers is the same ( "the attacks apply the exposed status effect so they are not basic attacks" -> bhvr logic with the legion changes), etc etc
Because they are "power based" just like legion ones are.

I just want you to explain how did the changes to legion and nurse make them more fun playing as.
If you want me to be honest, I wouldn't say the change made him more fun to play as but more fun to play against.
You see, old Legion had a lot wrong with him, and survivors had no counterplay. Every chase against a Legion puts a survivor on a timer that they cannot control with their skill — they would eventually go down due to FF hits.
Who thinks facing an opponent that renders your skill useless is fun? I certainly don't.
However, BHVR needed a quick solution, and they had to sacrifice some of the killer's fun for make playing against more enjoyable. Admittedly, they should've taken more time to finish the job rather than leaving them like that for a while, but I will assume they were short on time and needed a temporary solution.
Now, with the current buffs on the PTB, he's fun to play as and against — that's BHVR's goal. Sure, it's not perfect, but they are a lot better than before. 😁🤗
Now, Nurse and this is great for me because I actually main her — I can give you a 100% unbiased opinion.
The cool-down on her blinks make landing her blinks feel more rewarding because you have to use them sparingly, you can't use them mindlessly and expect good results.
I can understand how waiting to use your blinks is really lame because you're just sitting there waiting for your blink to recharge. However, it would either be this or longer fatigue, according to the developers — adding a cool-down is definitely preferable for the majority.
Lastly, her add-ons are pretty unique and offer more fun combos to her — they are easier to use unlike before. Sure, some add-ons are terrible and need desperate changes, I'm not going to sugar coat it, but all in all, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives with Nurse. 🤗😁
They wanted to get rid of that thing that makes survivors on a timer and then they introduce nemesis and BoP with undetectable.
Why not make nurse just have a cooldown when they successfully hit someone instead of everytime you blink? They made the cooldown change with the intention to disable nurse hitting someone instantly twice. This change that i propose solves a lot of problems.
Its not cool when only 3 or4 combinations of add-ons are useable, they should be ALL useable and not ultra rare that harm you more than help.
About Legion again:
The thing that makes killers unique is their power, and its the reason why you choose that killer to play.
If you are going to nerf a power to make it useable 3 times in a match where you can get a benefit from it (in the case of legion is injuring someone and apply deep wounds to another person, at least). The power is only used in very specific situations and the remaining of the match he is a pure m1 killer. You might as well play clown (an m1 killer that at least has bottles that you can use whenever you want) and is one of the worst killers in the game.
I don't know how you find it fun to use your power 3 or 4 times a match but, after all, it's your opinion and i respect that. I just don't understand it.

Legion got nerfed. Making his mostly useless power slightly better, but taking away any synergy, is not a buff.
The Freddy rework was very good.
The Nurse changes were awful. Nobody asked for a basekit nerf and she feels miserable to play.
Spirit changes are weird, they are all fine, but I don't get the changes to the Amulet or her post-phase speed.
The post phase speed was because she would travel gigantic distances with it.
With the 2 add ons that increase it, she would lunge by the range of a hill.

People exaggerate Legion, Nurse, and Spirit changes, then assume BHVR is going to gut any killer they say are going to rework or is over performing.
In reality, BHVR doesn't always gut killers, and when they do, gutting is exaggerating what exactly they did to that killer. Most changes BHVR made towards killers is for making things balanced and fun for everyone. They just buffed Legion and made Freddy a beast a while ago — Ghostface got a significant buff too. The community, not everyone, tends to only see the bad of BHVR more than the good because it's easier to look at someone's mistakes than look at their success.
I said too much, bracing for impact! 😕
They thing about fun is subjective, with the exception when you just add cooldowns to a killer like the nurse.
I understand the spirit changes (with the exception of the yakuyoke amulet one) but overall i like these changes and the freddy ones and I, personally, think he needs a nerf since 1 month after his release.
I don't understand when you say "Most changes BHVR made towards killers is for making things balanced and fun for everyone.". Since when making a killer's power rendered to very niche situations is fun? Like making 15 drawbacks for some reward. AKA Legion.
And there are a lot of people that play nurse that stopped playing her. Nominately a guy that had around 5k hours on nurse stopped playing her and, frankly, her add-ons didn't have that much thought into it.
I agree when you say that spirit, freddy and ghostface got better. 100%
I just want you to explain how did the changes to legion and nurse make them more fun playing as.

Where/when did they say all of this? I'm curious to see it.
It was when people asked which killers were going to be touched next to freddy. It was before the nurse update and after the freddy's update. I don't remember the exact date. Search for it and ill do it too.

Why do people think Doctor's getting nerfed.
Because they said that they would make him less frustrating to play against and that means cooldowns like the legion and the nurse updates. Also, they said that they WILL NOT buff him. They made it really clear.
EDIT: Not buffing doesn't mean nerfing.

I PARTIALLY agree with you.
I am also really stunned about all the stupidity and whining in the forums. Devs change the challenges to be more casualfriendly, people complain that they made the challenges easier and it takes out the fun. I mean... what?
The challenges took a lot of time and were almost impossible for solos to finish, also, some of them pushed very repetitive gameplay for 5+ consecutive games. Devs did a really good change as people complained about the challenges being too hard, but they got proof and devs found it a good feedback.
If devs know how to separate good from bad feedback, they are ok. They should listen to the community, but just the good part of it. Also, any changes that make it into the game need to be done by the devs so they also like the changes/feel that they are in the good way.
On the other hand, I think that it is the opposite of what you said, but the devs are improving on listening more to the community. I mean, the good part i think.
I, personally don't agree with the legion changes that are coming and also made a pretty easy way to fix the nemesis/BoP interaction with deep wounds broken sinergy but we haven't seen any changes yet. I'm not talking by myself only, it's for all the people that give good ideas that actually can make it into the game without problem.
It's this part that they need to improve a little bit more imo.
I disagree that the devs should have such a radical change in their interaction with the community because if the most part of it feels like they haven't been listened to they will leave the game.
This is my way to see these things. AKA my opinion.

Then why is TRAPper the most-picked killer?
I think that that is because he is free and he is the image of dbd. Also, the tomes are now pushing trapper gameplay.
New people will pick trapper, at least once to try the "image of dbd" killer.

Even more than I listed... That just further cements how terrible of a state legion is in damn...
Yeah, the killer has potential but no power.

- Pros: Can get a first hit easily
- Can possibly chain hits depending on the situation
- Gives the mend status effect for 12 seconds (if PTB changes for legion stay the same)
- Can vault stuff I guess...
Cons:
- A 4 second stun at the end of using his power no matter what
- Loses the ability to track scratch marks when they use his power
- Easy to counter power, his main goal is to chain hits but survivors literally just need to spread out which is already a very good thing for survivors to do.
- Has no power for the second hit making him a straight up m1 killer
- Current meta has people who don't heal because of adrenaline meaning that the free hits the legion gets are useless
- The mend timer is supposed to slow the game down but it is very convenient to when the survivor decides they want to mend, this contrasts to The Pig's RBT traps because the killer can still be around you for the power to work and pressures you more into actually taking off the RBT where as survivors can mend whenever they feel like they want to
- Loses the ability to see blood
- Punished heavily by framerate at times as well as being punished heavily for minor mistakes when you have a Non Lethal power via getting a 4 second stun for missing a swing
This is the reason I say Legion has no power way too many cons for a power that is in itself a Non Lethal power with a mend timer that the survivor can delay as long as they want because the Legion doesn't have a small TR and the mend timer is quite forgiving in itself as well as not providing an efficient slow down
Im on the phone so i cant show you, but go to my prifile and see the "a cool list about feral frenzy" discussion.
There are more that you didnt mention but you are quite accurate. Also, i need to implement the ptb changes.
