@Aven_Fallen Killing survivors equals to being an "xxxhole"? A Nurse doesn't have to tunnel, but take a look at the weaker killers. If the killer doesn't play strict + hard, he has no chance in winning. So Leatherface and Doc should just simply accept that everyone is going to escape? The only important thing is that the survivors had a "fun" game?
-
Yes, the exclusive skin is a glove that looks similar to the default one.

Because the killer is the main factor whether or not the game is enjoyable for the survivors?
Have you ever played as a survivor and gotten tunneled three games in a row? Playing survivor is unlike playing killer where you just can equip smth clutch and win the next game garanteed to relieve stress.
@PunL So killer is the role of "fun provider" for survivors? Helplessness against genrush, teabagging, flashlight clicki clicki - everything is fine as long as the survivors have fun?

MoM has so many counters that you can’t even call it OP. Flip flop will be abused by SWF but THAT group will abuse anything.
@TreemanXD There are real counters? Chainsaws, hatchets, moris, not hitting the surv so the perk doesn't activate? 😶
-
@Nickenzie We haven't seen the match. As long as the survivors make enough mistakes, they can bring even 4 insta-heals with all the perks they want and the killer still gets a 4k.
The problem is: It's all about the survivors making mistakes.
Another example: When I 2k with Freddy, that doesn't mean that Freddy is in a good spot and perfectly balanced. It just means that the survivors didn't play well.
-
@pyrosis I get almost instant lobbies when I play solo surv (or yesterday with only one other player in a 2-man-SWF). I'm also on PS4. May I ask which region and rank you are?
-
I'm also on PS4. Solo surv. No problem getting lobbies.
-
You are not. MoM wasn't a good idea. Combined with other perks, in the hands of a coordinated SWF, I also feel these are too many second chances.
-
It's sad to see these kind of posts. Not full of insults, just a respectful statement from a player who doesn't like playing the game anymore. And in most cases, it seems, these posts are made by killer mains.
I really hope things change and those players will come back to DbD.
-
@Delfador Ash is an exception, but in general dlc exclusives should be an incentive to actually buy the dlc instead of unlocking the characters with shards. So the dlc should come with a nice skin that you can't get any other way.
-
@Nickenzie The problem is the unbalanced state of the game. If the survivors play well, you can only win with Nurse (or maybe Billy). If I get a 3k or a 4k, it's simply because the survivors made big mistakes.
And now, instead of buffing killers, perks like MoM get released. I totally understand the frustration of killer mains.
-
I agree. The dlc exclusive skins are supposed to be an incentive to buy the dlc, so I'd like to see something nice. (Of course, it doesn't have to be on the same level as the skins that the devs sell for the highest amount of auric cells.)
-
The question always is: Is the playerbase big enough for a ranked and a casual mode?
-
@TatsuiChiyo Stealth is not the way to play against Freddy, you don't even know where he is coming from. Survivors should simply split up (similar to Legion) and push gens.
-
@Pizzaman Yeah, reminds one of the old DS, doesn't it?
-
I'm not a fan of the Emblem system. What I'd prefer is to make pipping bloodpoint-related again. And for that to work properly, remove the 8k bp cap per category.
(A killer could also pip that way in a fast game as long as there is a reasonable "all survs killed" bonus.)
-
@PunL said:
Thats the same issue for survivors, if you´re to fast you blackpip. It is one of my top critics on the ranking system too.
@PunL You also don't pip as surv when your teammates are doing their job. You need at least one surv who isn't working properly so that you can do their work as well and get the necessary Emblem points.

@IronKnight55 said:
I recently purchased Legion and at least one person disconnects almost every game (I'm not even exaggerating).
@IronKnight55 It's insane. This "dc mentality" needs to stop. The dc function is only for exceptional cases and not to be used everytime when a player doesn't like how the match is going.
-
Yes, that's one of the issues we are talking about in the ranking system threads.
I don't think it's that big of a problem when a killer doesn't pip in a match when an ebony mori is used, but there are other examples of fast games when the killer also doesn't pip.
-
"Working together" is something different. It's a survivor (repeatedly) telling the other survs' whereabouts to the killer and the killer rewarding the "traitor". Or a survivor sandbagging the others so that the killer can get easy hits, for example.
You are the killer. You can decide that you want to let one person live. If you see that somebody tries to repair gens and the other surv isn't doing anything (and probably waiting at the hatch for the other surv to die), you are allowed to look for the hatch camper, hook them and let the other person live.
From a survivor's perspective, for example, it's also allowed to use Bond in a chase and try to "wipe off" the killer on another surv to save their own skin.
-
Usually you can tell if a dc is intented or caused by a bug. Just take a look in which situation the dc occurs.
Unfortunately, I have a lot of survivors (and not so often killers) dc'ing in my matches and it seems clear that the majority are intended dc's.
For me, it's what kills fun the most. I really hope the devs take measures soon. I don't think this can wait until we have dedicated servers.

@Mat_Sella said:
Survivor-side chase music isnt' any quieter, it's far louder than the hatch and any other important noise queue
@Mat_Sella Yes, it's a problem for both sides. There are so many players complaining about the chase music being too loud, I hope the devs recognize that this really is a problem.

Killers should get buffed so that they have a fair chance winning against a full SWF group.
Then there wouldn't be a reason for dodging SWF.
(And solos should get more information so that they can be brought closer to SWF-level.)
-
100% agree with the op.
I'd also like to see a 2nd good locking male surv. I can't play Quentin every match.
-
Or prepone rank reset. Should also be an easy thing to do from a technical perspective.
-
Alternatively, the pipping system could get adjusted a bit. That wouldn't take as much time as reworking the matchmaking.
-
@thesuicidefox Look at my posts. I'm talking about my preferences. My personal taste, what I prefer to play against.
You prefer to adapt to a limited field of view instead of Doc's brizzles zapps. That's fine. I prefer it the other way around. That's also fine.
There is no right or wrong when it comes to personal taste.
-
@thesuicidefox You can't be aware of your surroundings if you don't see them. Less screen = less information
-
@thesuicidefox If I play against a Doc, I know that I have to change how I loop a bit, for example. I prefer to deal with that instead of seeing something important too late. I could also argue that there's no counter to only seeing half of what is going on.
-
@thesuicidefox It's probably personal taste what each person finds more "bearable".
-
@thesuicidefox Oh god please no. I hate it when I have VFX covering my screen. I'd rather have another mechanic limiting my actions instead of getting hit simply because I can't see properly. :(
-
The biggest problem is probably the latency which leads to survs simply being grabbed out of the locker. Compare it to Dead Hard: If the latency is bad, you don't get the Dead Hard and get hit instead, despite having smashed the DH button 2 seconds earlier.
-
@Reiverdemon said:
Does mashing your buttons faster, actually makes the wiggle bar go faster?
@Reiverdemon No.

@HURRI_KAIN said:
Shouldn't be able to see each other from across the map, that's all i'm saying.
You can bring a fog offering. There are so many in bloodwebs that you can bring them regularly.
-
Sorry, I don't feel that portals would be a good match to DbD's gameplay, style, atmosphere. :(
I'd prefer to give the survivors a 2nd objective and buff killers individually.
-
I'll buy him. Not sure about the Ashy Slashy hand. Maybe I'll prestige him. Going to try out MoM for sure.
-
What I dislike most about the struggling is how it is programmed. If there is a lag while you struggle, you die - despite continuesly smashing the button.
-
It's not that Adrenaline is too powerful. Billy is simply the only balanced killer. Everyone else - except for Nurse - would need a buff.
-
This has too much potential to not work as intended.
I'd prefer to give each killer an individual buff, concerning their special ability.
-
Seriously, these april fools threads become too many.
-
Agree 100% with the op.
-
In short: Currently, the old matchmaking is active. This system tries to match you with rank 1 survivors. Since the new pipping system has been released, there is only a very small amount of rank 1 survivors. Therefore, waiting times for rank 1 killers are very long.
-
How often do you play killer?
-
@Aven_Fallen Let's word it differently then: You are allowed to bring it, the killer is allowed to decline.
It's annoying but I absolutely understand when I get dodged when I'm in a lobby with several toolboxes. The game simply isn't balanced for these things.
-
@Nick What I wrote above: The goal of DbD is not to lose a killer in a chase or to not get found, the goal is to survive. How players achieve this goal should be up to them. If keeping the killer busy the entire game while the others do gens is the key to success, then the player should be rewarded for having success.
-
@Aven_Fallen It's in the game, you are allowed to use it. My point is: When survivors bring several toolboxes or insta-heals, it's because they want to have an easier game. Claiming that the killer dodges because "he wants an easy game" is insincere.
-
Isn't it ironic when survivors bring several toolboxes to the match and then complain when the lobby gets dodged that "the killer wants an easy game"?
-
@Tydie Isn't everybody allowed to participate in tournaments?
