  • Hillbilly because people super potato and super hook swarm when facing one.

Sometimes Spirit as people potato VS her too...but mostly Hillbilly with latency issues and hitboxes with an easy Insta Down = unfun matches

So sad. I liked having to find the plants and collect the goo. RIP goo plants....

I know some matches had really crappy outcomes/players with regards to 2nd Objective events...but I enjoyed having something else to do/look out for. Was a nice change of pace and added to the intensity of matches. I wish BHVR would jus balance and tweak things instead of outright removing things. A special Gen/Hook is...boring.

  • All I want is for Trapper to start with 3-5 Traps, needing Add-ons to pick up n carry that many after placing the initial ones down....

  • Decisive Strike is a non-issue nowadays.....The way it was before......now THAT was a problem. Mah, the change it received so long ago put it it in a spot where it can be useful & strong, but it's not a guarantee use....depending on how the Killer plays.

  • @Xboned said:

Probably the Asylum just for the sheer creep factor. I also play a lot of Doctor, so it's fun to get that map with him. Feels almost like something out of Silent Hill until the high speed chases start.

I love the layout of the maps...has a great amount of some safe spots and some creepy/unsafe spots that can make for great plays from both sides.

  • The Aslyum, Swamp, Game and at least usually, Coldwind Farm maps (depending if I go against a super survivor team or not).

Azarov's Resting Place, Yamoka Estate and majority of MacMillian Maps I vehemently hate getting.

  • I have fun with playing Susie. I rack up Bloodpoints really well, so far in most experiences, Feral Frenzy on multiple Survivors tends to make em scatter or do stupid things....people also underestimate Legion and make mistakes. Unlike a vocal majority, I enjoy their backstory/lore and enjoy their ability. Even if I hate the slower vault speed and ending Feral Frenzy off of a single missed attack (seriously should jus deplete the meter instead, granting 2-3 hits at most), I still do really well as them. Finally, they have an awesome Mori animation!

I know that nobody cares, but I do wish people would start saying They when referring to Legion. Legion isn't jus Frank/Joe y'all...so many jus say "He"

    *slow shrug*

I always use a farming build, so unless they rush through gens, I don't need to kill them to walk away with a crapton of Bloodpoints. By milking them, I can max out three of the four categories and still let them get their escape BP. But if they rush through gens, then they're taking BP away from me, and I stop being nice. Play with me or die. Seems fair.

Yeh, if people play a bit less sweaty or at least attempt to farm, I can be chill as Hell Frozen Over...but often people are uninitiated to that or jus don't care....I run my usual Builds to combat the serious matches, which this Blood Hunt was 100% of em. Since people didn't bring Streamers or Gateaus this event...I won't try to farm or play nice till the end, otherwise groups will jus rush thru the match and we all get less Points. So, gotta roll up mah Momma sleeves and give em a what for, unless it's indicated early on otherwise OR things go super sour.

I do like messing with peeps tho, initially missing hits or "losing chase". I even scared/ accidentally forced a poor Jane I was chasing (at full health) into a locker as she tried to Head On me xD" Uhh, whooops!" Was trying to jus smack her then move on.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

The few killer matches I played, I showed mercy as long as the survivors didn't bring in a bunch of toolboxes and rush through gens. Then I started getting desperate for points, they start dying unintentionally, and once one dies I might as well sacrifice the rest, otherwise I'm showing favoritism.

Rofl, in one match I had a group pop into lobby, over a slow period of time and 3/4 brought Toolboxes...so I equipped Franklin's because a 10min+wait time + lobby & loading times...and y'all wanna bring that crap in? (Turned out 2 were purple and one yellow) Well, the Prestige Nea DC'd soon as they realized what had happened after I smacked her....was the most satisfying thing ever.

I only show mercy in some cases, if a bunch of people DC, or if someone farmed another I'll slug and run after the otget person and MAYBE I'll farm and/or let the last Survivor go...pending they didn't teabag and if I've gotten enough points....not a guaranteed thing...but I'm a but more merciful than most Killer players.

9 minutes isn't that bad lol

True bad gen times is me watching a streamer get a down in 45-50 seconds but 2-3 gens pop.

Yea, that's when it's bad is when doing a great or even solid chase, you get em down and DING DING DING, or DING DING *hook, start to look for next Survivor* DING

The thing is, new Legion outfits will likely be only for Joey. He's tied to Very Rare it seems, while Susie is Rare and the other two Uncommon and Common. And we all know at this point they only like to release Very Rare cosmetics.

Is it too greedy to ask that whenever we get a Legion cosmetic for a Frank/Joey or for Susie/Julie to have an opposite one for the other group members xD?

well I mean I bought the game in April so this is the first real event I'll experience in game

Oh, you poor Summer child D:

Jus kidding, events can be a bunch of fun too, jus expect some matches to be kinda bad/trash depending who you get matched up with. People apparently hated the Lunar Event, Year of the Pig, but I quite enjoyed it playing Killer & Survivor.

  • I play console, been playing Ghost Face, Legion, Doctor, Trapper and some Clown during this event *slow shrug*

  • If queue times are as bad as what Ive had coming back, then not so much :[ Hoping for some good cosmetics at least

  • Clown is still top 5 Killers for me thematically and while I DO have good to great games with him, I find I struggle a little more than I do with the other Killers I love & frequent. Maps are kinda the sole reason I have frustrating times playing him tbh.

  • How do you counter Dying Light? By Dying MUWHAHAHAHA

    /sarcasm

  • It's redunkculous how long it takes...there was a brief period in time when, for myself, matches were popping like Gods damn Pringles.

Now it takes a fair bit to load into empty lobbies and slowly trickle into loading up...often Survivors leaving as soon as they notice its only 2/4 for them...usually being 3/4 Survivors. And that's on a fast time...hoping someone doesn't leave before the match starts :/

  • Even tho I play Killer more ofteb than Survivor....would be nice if there was a way to get SOME kind of notification for certain Perks.....the amount of times people refuse to let me heal em after an Unhook (often safe ones, but I have Borrowed Time anyway) when I'm using We'll Make It is SO STRESSFUL T3T

  • I hear it more like an exaggerated "AUUUGHH!" xD like he stubbed his toe or hit a funny bone

Also, controller sensitivity is messed up too. Making the already stupid version of a 360 on ps4 more stupid. That being, swivel a short circle in front on the killer rather than around which takes advantage of the bad aim assist and low sensitivity. You'll go to swing and it will try to follow the survivor but miss completely and fall short. They're right in front of you.... and you still miss.

Yea this bothered me my last few games before I read some testimonies on the forums. I was like "I know I'm not the best player...but I know damn well 360s don't get me like that....."

Yeah, Temple isn't as bad as some of the others. Those loops of downed pillars though. Damn things are long and easy to see the killer over.

It depends on the Killer for me, Temple can be fun or godawful.

  • @BloodyNights said:

Don't let it get to you so hard. I mean I guess I'm a bit toxic myself as a survivor. I teabag at the gates, feels like a ritual at this point. But mostly because I want the killer to chase me out so I get a little bit more bloodpoints. I don't teabag or flashlight click in game.

As killer all that means when they do that stuff, not at exit gates, but like actually in game. Like congrats you hit me with a pallet, or jumped over a window before I could hit you, and then start teabagging/pointing? All that does is make me take off the nice gloves. Usually I always attack the person who saved someone off the hook, don't tunnel or camp. Lot's of the time it ends with me having to hook everyone 3 times. At worst I'll slug the person who did a bad save and go after another person.

But when they teabag/flashlight click me, I see that as a challenge. Like hey please kill me. So they get tunneled with zero remorse, they won't get the hatch if I can help it. I may even proxy camp just to make sure they die.

By the way, If I'm Ghostface...I teabag with the survivors at the exit gate...it's the only proper thing to do really.

The problem with "Don't let it get to you" is that a LARGE group of Survivors (esp SWF types) are often like this. I have had days & weeks where every other game where I'm not playing my "mains" IE the ones I perform the best with, had several or all Survivors get pretty trollish/bullying, usually when I play Clown at higher ranks, which I hate because Clown is a favorite of mine, but sadly against good Survivor groups, I tend to fall behind.....and they get pretty toxic soon after I make any mistake. Heck sometimes I don't even need to be making mistakes, Pallet slam +teabag is the biggest culprit.

Kinda hard to ignore that type of behavior when it happens a lot.

  • The only thing I kinda hate but jus have to deal with it till I get Franklin's on every Killer, is when Survivors bring 3-4 Toolboxes or 3-4 Insta heals....It just ruins any fun I could have, where they crank out Gens really fast if I'm not on my main Killers (even then) and having an abundance of Insta Heals (thankfully not too often) where they prolong chases a bit too much. Like I jus want a decent match and be mostly chill...but that def doesn't happen when groups do that. Sometimes (most times) I'm jus not in the mood for that crap and exit that lobby, I play to have fun, not sweat out matches like that where one mistake could mean the game is practically over, esp when I only have so much free time/energy to play games.

Best: DOCTOR. With Huntress a close second.

Worst: probably the female legion. Just not convincing.

I say Joe & Frank are way worse than Susie or Julie.....When the the male Legions end their ability ...my gods.. "AUUUAUHUAHHHHHHGHHGHHHA" so bad xD

  • With anywhere from 5-20 min queue times +waiting for lobby to fill + waiting for ppl to ready up +load times...not to mention occasional person leaving before we load in, causing us to auto end the match....has made this Double BP event the WORST ever for myself :/. It sucks doubly (heh) because work has been extra busy for me......which limits my play time AND with me being more tired, less in the mood to play DBD, more so when a sweaty group tries to end games as fast as possible with 3-4 Toolboxes R.I.P. my tasty opportunity for buttloads of Bloodpoints this event.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/91145/yeesh

I know what you mean. I've had three games tonight where killers are slugging at five gens. I had one game where the killer was running Pop, Surge, and Ruin.

The slugging sucks, but why do you consider the Gen Perk running Killer to be considered bad/sweaty? Id say slugging and Ebony Mori, Iridescent Hatchets and Pinky Fingers to be the code for Killers overkilling it for a Double BP event.

  • Only really use em to have fun, mix things up and if I want to see the Mori animations :). Otherwise if a SWF bringing a bunch ov toolboxes, I may bring one.

  • Yep, I truly wish and have always advocated that the amount of Bloodpoints we get is not enough for how much of a grind the game really is (and subsequently getting larger and larger with each new Killer & Survivor).

I swear SOMETHING has to give with tjis game's economy. When playing during Double BP Evrnts, my stress and frustrations are pretty much negated because I can still walk away from a match feeling accomplished...win or lose.....not so much without.

  • To generally tell a Killer is farming is they either down you/Survivor and take them to a gen and repeatedly smack the Gen & let the Survivor wiggle off (I do this & run off to get more Survivors the same way)

    OR

Killer will make head movements and smack a Gen and not make an offensive move against a Survivor to convey not a threat.

For Survivors, they tend go send messages, crouch at the Killer and remain in essentially a submissive display, drop their item at a Killer's feet and/or point at Gens.

    As far as how to...

Killers: Rotate Hooking everyone twice, letting everyone heal each other up. Smack and grab everyone, let them work on Gens, but be sure to kick them occasionally and let them drop pallets on ya. Be sure to use your ability to max out points. Generally speaking, nice Killers will let all or 3/4 escape. But sometimes others will farm then kill.

Survicors: Pretty much following the above steps but reversed role. Get unhooks, heal people, run away from the Killer for chase points, slam pallets on the Killer and work on Gens and possibly exit gates.

    Well duh.

Lobby dodging should never be punished PEROID. There can be MANY reasons to leave a lobby. Nothing has been committed to yet, so there shouldn’t be any problem with someone deciding to leave/close a lobby.

While nt technically a lobby dodge...but I hate when one person leaves/quits right as the lobby locks us in. Regardless if they did it or the game bugged out, makes the rest of us load into a match and then end immediately...utter waste of everyone's time

  • Killer:

    -Hex: Devour Hope

    -Pop Goes the Weasel

    -Hex: Haunted Ground

    -Spirit Fury

    -Monitor & Abuse

    Survivor:

    -Borrowed Time

    -We'll Make It

    -Decisive Strike

    -Adrenalin

-Dance With Me + Quick & Quiet

Yea, I know not really unique or whatever for Survivor but I only have so many Perks unlocked, as I play Killer bit more. Till I finish off Killer Perks, have ta stick with these & what the Shrine offers

  • Ehh. I slaughtered a Survivor group in one match...felt a lil "sorry" ish let the last Survivor get Hatch. That's my good deed for this event. Until a group brings BPS and indicates farming, mostly gonna play as normal with these matches.

  • Yeah, today wasn't great for Killer for me. I got off work, had enough time for 3 matches, had queued up for several more but had last minute quitters and auto end the matchs before it started (yay for 15+ mins down the drain). All that adds up REALLY fast to a lot of time doing nothing .

Hoping tomorrow works our better for me after work :x

  • I jus came back to the game, took a break right as the Freddy chnages were rolling out....so I jus bought him the other day & have barely put any points into em. I no longer play new Killers without at least getting em to level 30+ for Perks, mostly because it isn't fun wanting to test or lay out a Killer without all 4 Perk slots open or a handful of Perks to use...

  • I play Legion a fair bit. I haven't changed Her (I only play Susie) set-up in a LONG time, but for me I have to have Spirit Fury and Stridor, they help me,out so much. I alwaysbuse BBQ if I can, tracking and extra BPs (ugh dat grind) and atm using Ruin for the 4th Perk slot, but at some point wanna switch it out.

No idea on add-ons, I usually go with reduction to the cooldown for their ability

  • I usually play for a solid few months, with anywhere from 1 week to a few months break if I hit burnout.

  • Level up Demogorgon and either keep going for all Perks on Ghostface or move on to leveling up other Killers.

  • Ego, personal pride issues, competitive nonsense and misunderstandings tend to lead to Side VS Side situations

  • As someone who's played Pig quite a lot VS most other Killers... She needs some looking at. Her add-ons are so blase, little more than a slightly hindrance or for meme builds. Her dash ambush is mostly useless... occasionally used near the beginning of a match for jumpscare opening and MAYBE some mindgame use at loops.

However, more often than not people use her crouch to get close and just sit up and smack a Survivor. Her RBTs are (as have always been) time wasting uses, however the Endgame changes neutered the endgame pressure she could utilize. To say she's just fine & doesn't need any kind of change is just ridiculous.

I plan on doing farming matches for about half the time. I really like to think the few killers who will do this are actually good people in the game. I just bring in a ######### ton of hex perks and distressing and hook everyone once. Who cares if they escape, I just want everyone to get good BP.

Agreed and I'm of the same "code" so,to speak. I understand it's jus a game and not everyone cares about BPs and jus wanna wreck &/or troll others or jus (for whatever reason) play the game normally.

But the fact we get these events so seldomly jus inclines me to want to have more casusl fun & everyone flood with BPs. Getting stacks and like what, 100k+ BPs for a single match is just...Mmm...so tasty.

    P.s. I respect & Love your name choice, R.I.P.

  • I personally wish we had Events switch things up. I enjoyed having other objectives that were not Gen/Hook related....we Gen & Hook adnauseam throughout our time playing. New things, imo, gives a freshness to matches, also helps (generally slow matches down a bit better) as most people don't Gen rush nearly as much

  • Hoping for at least half my matches throughout the Double BP event can be farming or chill matches. Never used Mori Offerings during Double BP and try to use what Party Streams and whatever Gateaus I have left.

  • As a Killer focused player... no thanks. It would open up some issues and probably a myriad of bugs with map generation. Not to mention, how annoying it could b with super immersed players spread out & having two basement areas to hide in.

  • All of those amazing Hag drawings.....and you pick Clown, who while still a fav of mine...has gotten a TON of Cosmetic love and really great ones...Hag still imo, has the most underwhelming and boring cosmetics out of eveyone else... :/ I am disappoint..

Until I can play him, can't say officially, but I like the options he potentially has. I however feel until we see how he fairs when people actually get used to him before we can see where he'll actually drop into place.
