I just hate how broken sounds are when playing as her...lost a lot of the fun when I couldn't track/mindgame Survivors because I can't hear them at all over their muted sounds and the loud chase music
-
Lmao, it does little to "help"matchmaking, esp when SWF smurf lower Ranks or at times the matchmaking just fails. Had a Green/Green/Purple/Red/ Survivor group, none of us SWF go against a Yellow Rank Killer... Or when I as a Green Rank Killer go against Rank 16/17 and then Purple Ranks.
The entire system, from emblems & piping to the matchmaking and queue times are just fubar
-
The way the Devs have the game judge us Killers (yes, it honestly feels like judgment) is ridiculous. Best example, I had two games where I played as Trapper. Ended up both with a 2K result. Both games lasted just about the same, had one with 3 SWF, where two were higher rank and a bit better than most Survivors I face. The other maybe was a 2 SWF, but was on one of my worst maps for me and so I ended up potatoing a lil.
But same result of killa, jus about the same game length...one was BARELY a safety pip, the other snagged a pip up easily....I mean...what kind of design is that? Feels flawed as heck. I feel the older system was better, because the requirements at Green and Purple Rank feel ridiculous...Red Rank requirements are ludicrous and why I do not aspire to ever aim for Red Ranks (I'm more Green/Purple material anyway).
Survivors on the other hand, I play half seriously,,sometimes perkless or with one Perk and end up piping or double piping doing not nearly as much as Killer needs to,for the same results...
-
It comes and goes, generally I'll play about 5-7 Killer games in a night and take a break for videos or play Survivor matches. Sometimes I play badly/get matched with people far better than I am and get a couple bad games and jus take a break sooner.
Ultimately it depends on my mood and mindset to hopping onto DBD. If the Bloodpoint values we earned in matches were bigger/better Id play FAR more and not stress as much about playing better/being obsessed with not making mistakes.
-
We should've gotten Baal (Bill) or Ruby added to the game...Ruby could've utilized the Necronomicon, Deadites and/or her children spawn. The Ash we got is def Ash VS Evil Dead version, would've been really cool

After watching Montoβs Plague video (note: effectiveness add ons are still used. I have yet to come across a Plague video that used neither expensive nor effectiveness add ons) it makes me wish Black Incense was baked into her kit especially now Freddy is vacating aura tracking, and that the ultra rare add on was something else. It would make things smoother and worthwhile for her and raise the stakes for survivors!
I was thinking the same with watching Puppers play Plague where Survivors didn't cleanse for a good long while and allowed Puppers to do some real pressure on them.
Literally all of Plague's add-ons suck that are not the increased Vile Purge effectiveness for faster Broken Status (faster chases) or Black Incense for the map pressure if people decide to stay sick... The rest are garbo imo.

We'll see, it's a bit too early to make assumptions...wait till PTB of the rework is available.

Nah,

Honestly I'm not thinking on Ghostface at the moment... Idk, I don't think he will be dramatically changed (which sucks)
I'm more excited to see Pig and Huntress cosmetics
I'm also super excited for both Pig cosmetics. Wonder if both are releasing together >0>. Pig is in my top fav 3 Killers to play as

I find "We'll Make It" pretty unpopular. Its def a fav Perk of mine that I can easily get the whole team back up,in a split second. Sure it's not meta and requires Unhooking and isn't useable on yourself, but it's suuuuuch Nirvana to see that healing bar zip up. Still loved the time a Killer had Dying Light and I was the Obsession, dunno if it stacked but I was a Goddess of healing that game xD. Its a nice Altruistic Perk (paired nicely with Borrowed Time in case of campers) instead of the usual selfish meta stuff we all tend to use xD (myself included).
"Hex: Devour Hope" yeah its a semi meme/fer fun Perk but when it works, ohhh it does so beautifully. Got my 4k non-Sacrifice Trophy thanks to it. Even if you only get 3 tokens before it's cleansed, can still give you momentum and if it remains, huge snowball potential.
"Stridor" mostly only use this for my Legion build, but it's fanstsic with how Feral Frenzy has you zip around from Survivor to Survivor & across the map. Esp good for ultra immersed Survivors as you'll hear em fully if injured. Def feel it's underutilized/underrated

@Bbbrian2013 Is it too late for me to put this up? :P
Herro fellow Stabby McStabber!!!
ππ
I still do enjoy Legion, there's still those of us that despite some things we dislike about their design/tweaks, still play em xP Susie is my inner Killer fer sure.
-
In my opinion, if Bloodpoint gains were better adjusted (raised) we wouldn't worry as much about Bloodwebs, but as it stands it's pretty pitiful without Bloody Party Streamers and/or Double Bloodpoint Events...
-
Pig aka Amanda is getting two cosmetic outfits coming up next.
The only thing Id want for Michael Myers is the 2018 Halloween older mask amd darker outfit.
Leatherface I can only think of Pretty Lady being a big one.
Freddy 100% A New Nightmare's trenchcoat and fleshy/Demon Clawes Hand is about the only one for him imo.
-
Spirit Fury has served me far better, even, without Enduring combo...It catches Survivors off guard (esp cocky ones),AND auto breaks the pallet which is a HUGE time saver imo....
-
One of the louder Survivors, I main Nea, Ash and soon to be Dwight.
Nea was my first Survivor I played as, so,she has a special place in my heart, fantastic cosmetics.
Ash while loud, I have great Perks on him, so I end up doing really well with him. His Hawaiian shirt and Ashy Slashy Puppet are the best things ever. Not to mention I'm a Die-hard Evil Dead & Ash VS Evil Dead fan.
Pizza Delivery π Dwight is one fine ass cosmetic that I love. Plus Dwight reminds me of the DBD player Puppers.
Finally, I intend to add Jane to my rotation of mains once I get around to it...so Jeff is jus gonna have to sit the benches

xD Good stuff!
I am being snarky because being viable is not the equated as you getting good matches/games and people def mistaken that. You can do well and have fun with each Killer at various Ranks...but going against highly skilled/coordinated Survivor Team with a mid or low tier Killer over a larger sample size and people would see how bad it can really get.
-
I felt this was gonna be about her being too thicc and was about to Mori a mofo....you may live...for now typo...
-
Hey, I can do this too ;D
/Snarky

Pretty fearful that Ghost Face may be the most bullied Killer for awhile. Unsure what Perks would even be a good build on em esp since his power is in a pretty bad spot. Especially since once people know the Killer is GF, people are gonna be on higher alert to counter the stalking, with higher rabked/skilled Players actively having someone run around to bully GF by breaking the stalk.
We'll see, but def not holding my breath

@NikkiwhatΒ with the Trapper traps... You have to pick the survivor out of them for it to count... if you hit them.. it won't work. Just run up and grab them out of the trap.
Legion's is super easy now.. just put Deep Wound on a survivor.. break FF then chase them and down them... that is it.
Oh my Gods.....that's why I don't have it oh I could head desk so hard right now...it doesn't state that anywhere on console's Trophy page D: I have some grabs but I usually smack them in case they break out (dont use higher quality add-ons too often)
Thanks for the clarification for Legion! The wording kinda made it confusing amd before their rework looking up,online had conflicting info. Mucho appreciated ππ
-
Any Adept Killer with how emblem system is, not even gonna bother trying after em for awhile...attempting them without cheesing things is just masochism....
Trapper's Trap Trophy for whatever reason doesn't want to unlock, despite me having well over 10 Traps triggered....
"Where did they go" because people are really potato and on console hard to communicate what you're doing.
Legion's Deranged Pursuit Trophy. With the changes to Legion, no idea how to go about this...
Nurse Trophies on console.
-
I need new undies after looking at those Killer cosmetics.. Piggy is looking FABULOUS! I esp love her sawed wristblade!
Wraith's best cosmetic imo, tho Im still partial to the Heart weapon currently using.

I feel you and I absolutely agree, some players simply have way more experience and understanding of the game and these players shouldn't verse casual players.
Some people like to play competevily some just like to have a laugh and play "average".
What's not OK is to have these two kinds of players facing each other as it is simply very unbalanced.
I am an average yellow rank killer/average green rank survivor and I am happy where I am.
I don't have the goal of being like Monto or Farmer John, I simply wish to have fun and usually let other people have fun as well.
But getting stomped because the matchmaking is bugged isn't really inspiring.
Agreed, I'm pretty decent at the game but I feel where I place at is perfect, and when I VS others around my Rank (usually) it's a great time.
My only issue and major concern are people that derank on purpose and end up bullying others, or SWF with a really low ranked Survivor friend and get matched lower. It's def a problem as some don't care about points or rank and want to troll others. I had as a Survivor game, a way too high Rank person, run around and sandbag me wherever I went and mind you I did safe Unhooks, didn't potato etc....there's just a lot of toxic players that do &have been taking advantage of the leniency this game provides for players
-
I had this exact same thought yesterday where with SWF and Queue times, it's just a damn joke half the time. Had 2 high end Purple Ranks with fully loaded out Rare/Ultra items that have been playing WAY longer than I have, I could tell with how they played, ended up in a frustrating Match. I ended up with a 2k and decent points but that feels like the SEF sandbagged the solos at the end...but I only safety pipped despite having two higher experienced/rank players.
Sure "Rank doesn't mean anything" crowd will pipe up, but the experience I ended up with AND the game more or less saying I lost/sucked, when this happens fairly frequently kinda gets to ya

I'm a console scrub so Nurse is the one i shy away from the most. Aside from blinking into walls every now and then on KYF, i dare not take her into public matches for fear of embarrassing the hell out of myself. It's a shame as I really love her style and character concept.
This 100% I'll still take her out on rare occasions as I eventually want to get her Trophies (except Adept) but I have to completely expect 0-1 Kills at best...the framerste, lag and inability to do "skillshots" properly with her Blink on console makes it an unfun affair to plays seriously with (imo). Yeah it can be done and practiced to a point, but it requires way too much imo. Huntress is almost thr same, but I can do a bit better with her at least.
@RoKrueger I would (and I bet others would agree) more often if the Grind, Bloodweb and Bloodpoint system didn't demand a ton of Bloodpoints. Which means, as Killer, to focus and do way more/better and some Killers at certain Ranks and on console just won't measure up to performing as well and getting BPs as others do....

Fav: Haddonfield, Crotus Prenn Asylum, Fractured Cowshed, Rancid Abattoir
Haddonfield is great for hiding & intense moments. Both map variants of Asylum are just a ton of fun, lot of good loops, gen placements and ways to hide. Cowshed (I know us Killers hate it at times) but I love it aesthetically but also size wise. Rancid Abattoir is both a inside joke with my Girlfriend & I but I love how it's mapped out overall.
Least Fav: The Game, Lerys, Bloodlodge, Coal Tower
The Game depending on Killer honestly, some I'm fine with. Lery's feels about 8/10 times my fellow Survivors potato a lot. Bloodlodge and Coal Tower are too small and people go down really fast on these.
The remaining maps and variants are mostly fine, but don't stand out for me or I have bad history of potato survivors on em, where I do fine but they end up sucking (often 3 gening us on MacMillian) or too easy with some of the Aurohaven maps.
-
From my own experiences on PS4, I'd say: Jeff, Adam, Laurie as of late have been the least seen Survivors.

People really love to play against Myers it seems. I love to play as and against him too.
Myers, Pig and Hag remain my fav Killers to play as. I love playing against Myers because it's kinda terrifying when he catches you offguard and the fear of being Insta-downed and not knowing how fed your fellow Survivors may have given Myers, makes it a compelling threat.
-
Added my votes and comment. Jus about what I expected tbh except a high amount not liking Hag to play as.
-
Went against a Vommy Mommy last night, she had to super tunnel AND for a fellow Survivor to do unsafe unhooks WITHOUT Borrowed Time to gain any momentum....I personally ran her long enough to make her give up chasing me TWICE, managed to do almost all the Gens myself, distract her for unhooks and was able to get away without any fear of being downed or Killed....unlike most other Killers that tend to provide some threat...Vommy Mommy just ends up wasting valuable time using a fun Ability that honestly doesn't impact the game too much.
I've played her and can do decently but that's mostly on the Survivor's fault or a decent play of my own and using her strong add-ons for faster Broken Status...which feel mandatory as #########. Doesnt strike me as a good spot for her outside of "fun" games and actually providing good pressure. A good Nurse, Billy, Hag, Myers and even Pig just excel at being a threat...heck Trapper with well placed Traps can snag and deny Survivors a good loop/chase and get some strong momentum...Plague gets that purely through the Survivor's dictating things (and only if it's fully capitalized, denied by looping well or waiting out it's durstion).
That match I mentioned before? I only got hit once by her and that was thru a lucky hitbox on her Corrupted Purge hitting me...which she got from someone cleansing a little too early.

Loading screen tips are also outdated. For example they still mention the hatch grab, which has been removed with the introduction of the Endgame Collapse.
See, I'm an avid player for the most part and until you said that...I had ZERO idea that Hatch Grabbing was removed...thank the Gods I haven't wasted games trying to do so and jus close said hatch.
Yeah this topic extends more than jus loading screen tips...if I didn't watch notable players (playing both sides) I would be FAR worse off on my experiences playing the game from my first time ever to today, tips n tricks and useful information... The game as a whole is very barebones on the info to explaining the game as a whole.

One of the things I don't like about other asym-horror games is that often, the Killer can be killed. I do not want that in this genre. I love it that the Killer can't really be stopped... only delayed.
People say, "yeah, but it's hard to kill the Killer". But... I just want there to be no possibility. :)
I def would not be playing this game if so....people as evident in other like games, resoet to huge amounts of bullying the Killer. We get some of that in DBD but not to the extreme I've seen in other games
-
My single player games more often....do other non-videogame activities to be honest
-
That's why I'm occasionally so vocal and get frustrated when things for this game go drop off/come out badly. It's because I absolutely love the design and thematics of this game that Ive put a bit over a year into it...I want this game with as few faults and balance issues that cause frustration, its why I do get excited for releases and why I do support the game off & on.
Do not mistaken complaints solely as pure hate and disregard for it...that's why plenty still play and frequent the forums and reddit threads, to make art and cosplays. Its part of the balance to show the Devs we care more than they may realize. I don't think it's farfetched that many of us want this game to still succeed, to be fun AND rewarding...but as it stands there are things holding the game back a bit. It's what the forums are mostly used for...yea trolls and outlandish complaints will be around...that will never be exempt from any game & it's community
-
I only play Plague atm,if I have a Daily for her...I LOVE the Killer but often games are just a ######### show with how non-threating she is...even if Survivors cleanse, it's usually at the end and fountains I often find (lately) are in corners across the map, which wastes MY time far more than my ability and gimmick does for Survivors.
There needs to be a penalty if all Survivors stay sickened and/or when a Survivor just never cleanses. I also hate her add-ons, I feel most are just fodder. To this day, Michael, Hag, Spirit, Clown and even Trapper have (imo) a bettet variety and use of add-ons that actually make unique and/or strong builds.....
-
Try tossing Bottles to force players to unsafe areas and herd them (if they fall for it) having the add-ons to cause exhaustion is a Godsend since everyone runs Balanced Landing/Dead Hard/Lithe/Sprint Burst. Try to trick/mindgame Survivors if they're the type to loop.
I started running Devour Hope (want to see about Make Your Choice) or even Haunted Ground for some quicker downs on Survivors.
-
Michael Myers and Hag. I love Clown the most aesthetically and thematically but he can be rough to use against certain Survivor groups and/or Maps.
-
Nurse due to being on console. Can not do quick snap blink hits because of framerate and other issues.
Everyone else I do play a fair bit, some more than others depending on which I have add-ons for....really hate how dependant some Killers really are on em
-
Is THAT why Ive been sitting in "searching" for about double or triple the usual time today :/ ?
EDIT: Oh good it finished......to an empty lobby with a very slow time to fill up.
-
If I had fun, got enough Bloodpoints and generally 2-3 Kills is a great time for me.

@Nikkiwhat I was getting chased and the endgame once and the killer grabbed me at a window but it bugged out and they just held their hand out. I escaped.

I wonder what it looks like on Survivor's side when I go for a grab,,my arm reaches out and they zoom away or get smacked instead....

@thrawn3054 said:
I actually think Plague would be fine if they added a repair speed debuff when you are sick. Maybe 10 to 15% while in the beginning stages of sickness. 25% once you're sick enough to reach broken state. This way if they don't cleanse you gain time.
That and/or a timer that if you stay in sickness for a LONG time, that you get downed. Because Survivors should not ignore being sick and the cleansing mechanic for half or an entire match.
When I play Survivor and get matched against the Plague it's pretty much a guaranteed escape as long as teammates don't potato. I once looped a Plague for about 3 Gens and only gave up because I got bored so I could do stuff other than looping and not once was her puke an issue. Also what's up with her Mori animation, feels ungodly long VS other Killers xD
-
I was in stiches at the PTB videos Ive seen of many well-known DBD players playing as Ghostface and it jus looks a mess. Downed and Hooked Survivors counter his ability? And apparently it's only the camera looking at Ghostface to deny him, not the actual face of Survivors.... So we yet again have a Killer that has to jump thru hoops to get their ability to "work" that is easily nullified and ends up mostly a waste of time to get the payoff of it....where just downing and hooking normally would do the job quicker.
Potatoes and newer players may get Ghostface to be a scary encounter, a threat...but mostly it's gonna be M1/R2 all over again....poaaibly fun for a few days, then goes back to business as usual....
-

@Nikkiwhat Legion is a whole nother can of worms I'd rather not think about atm.
But I actually have to congratulate the Devs for Freddy. He is now much more closer to the powerful Freddy we see in the movies.
I know @Shad03 I jus loved em so much D:
I like the idea and concept, jus...want to see it in actual matches and how the changes fair against moderate to highly skilled Survivor groups
-
I love this game and have a lot of love to those that work on the game, pretty sure quite a few have a passion for the game (esp the Lore guy) however, I am deftly (no, not deathly) afraid of them reworking anything anymore
I hope to be proven wrong, but def more pessimistic side of how they rework things
-
Tunneling and camping is super high in my games. Majority of Killers on PS4, in,my experience are bad and just insta camp the first person they catch. Doesn't always work in their favor..but potato teammates feed into it and it rewards that unfun and ######### tactic
-
While I'm maining Ash & Nea, Dwight is my next to be a part of my main rotation, then Thicc Momma...
But dun you diss the best Pizza Boi!
-
I've played this game of both sides an equal amount of time and reaching rhe same rank for both. I started as Survivor and played a fair bit before trying Killer and then reached a point where I play both, in a back n forth manner.
I can honestly say I prefer the design, concepts and aspects of Killers more than Survivors. Love that they have abilities and pretty fun designed Perks....that said in practice Survivor ends up being more fun because of how less stressful the lows are as Survivor VS the lows of playing Killer.
I can honestly say my beliefs and opinions are fairly neutral amd not swsy too, drastically in one direction or the other. There are changes to one side I may fully embrace and cheer for, while a different change for the same side I am completely against and that this goes for changes made to BOTH sides.
