IMO if you bring things like:
- Give Trapper 5 traps by default + traps cause hemorrage + Hindered effect
and then as a nerf you ONLY touch 1 single addon and not his actual power and then disguise as a buff by spawning even more traps in the trial... I don't think it would be balanced.
I did that as trapper doesnt warrant a strong nerf, moreso a addon change. Trapper isn't strong enough to need a power nerf that I can think of.
Again this is only for fun.
-
I really really like this idea, while i dont agree with your vision of buffs and nerfs this makes me wanna post my own version of this, which i may do lol sounds like fun.
-
I just wish theyd do another bloodweb change like removing perk levels, even more perks in the bloodweb, or selling your items/addons for bloodpoints...anything would help.

actually mindbreaker is glitched rn with sprint burst, a demo was using it earlier and i couldnt use my SB even after recovering from exhaustion. i had to wait like 40 seconds after the recovering from my exhaustion for it to actually work . this happened several times in that match.
So a glitch that makes it not worthless, I dont believe you, mindbreaker is supposed to always be bad ;)

Watch this Otzdarva Plague build its very good!
https://youtu.be/NWyg82vFkRYAlso got to reccomend the build Fungoose used for his 116, 4k streak no ruin (before ruin change) on stream.
It was: Discordance, Pop, Infectious Fright, and Corrupt Intervention.

Only thing bad ive noticed about deathbound on legion, is that the obliviousness effect makes them immune to the frenzy killer instinct so u dont know where they are.

The build I currently run is an information/gen control build, with perks that punish survivors for not healing but also allowing Legion to capitalize on survivors who do heal.
Blood Echo, Surge, Surveillance, and Deathbound, with any addons of your choosing, although Defaced Smiley Pin and Filthy Blade make healing and mending particularly inconvenient, so I would recommend one or the other.
To slot Deathbound somewhere in your build, I would replace either Thanatophobia or Blood Echo, as either of those perks punish survivors for not healing, so you can afford to run only one of those. Pick whatever perks suit you.
Thanks for the response bud, might try out your build some, then try out changing thana on my build for deathbound, as I like blood echo too much and thana has a minimal effect anyways.
-
@Timeman63 Oh hoho what would you run as your 4th? I currently run Thana, ruin, bbq, and blood echo.
Been wanting to try out deathbound legion so bad.
Also @Poweas mind me asking your thoughts of deathbound Legion? Could be pretty good.
Same to you @FireHazard , your thoughts on deathbound legion? Im liking deathbound so far

Same bud, i wanted the black hair and dark pants from the moving on outfit i believe, and i was gonna combine it with the black shirt :(

I believe in game store releases like an hour before it shows up on ps store, 11am EST. Then on ps store at like 12am. EST.

Thats a very good idea, torment the obsession m1 down them assuming they are 1 hit, and cage them with your TR, proceed to execute destruction.

Dark devotion is going to be one of his best perks in the same way Stbfl is very good on demogorgon and deathslinger.
It's uniquely powerful on him.
Yeah why would dark devotion be very good on him im curious.

Yeah thats a very good question.
Im thinking trail duration and power recharge.
Maybe power duration and his powers attack range as close 3rd/4ths?

Too true.
I have a build to punish campers: Kindred, Open Handed, and Camaraderie, but the others don't know I have Camaraderie and I get rescued sooner than I'd like because of Kindred. I want to milk as much time out of the hook as possible, not be unsafely unhooked in front of the camper 10-15 secs in.
Kindred is a double-edged sword.
Ohhh i like that idea, what do you typically run as your 4th perk on that? Exhaustion, iron will maybe?

Well I like the idea so if I do one it'll definitely take a while to make it. I'll need to gather enough footage to cover all the spots appropriately that I don't think many people know about (or just don't go for them as often as they should) & lots of other stuff I'll want to discuss in it.
If it ever gets finished I'll surely post a steam link here in guides and probably even in general discussions (and od my best to remember to tag you) sharing whatever I've learned during my experiences playing Deathslinger.
Thanks bud! If you need to see how other people write their guides for a basic outline of where to start im sure you will be able to find one.
If you forget my name to tag me thats fine! Anyways take it easy!

Hmm, that's not a bad idea (even when it would make survivors more aware to all my trick shots), I might do so in the future but I wouldn't bet on it. Btw I've already made a post concerning counterplay to Deathslinger so if you want a piece of my mind on playing vs him then that's here.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1300266#
I saw that! Thanks for the link!
But i do hope you consider the guide, baby deathslingers and people that wanna improve their slingy boi gameplay in general will really appreciate it! If you covered perks, builds, addons, strategies, how to create alot of pressure with his power, when and when not to shoot, maybe even how to play him at certain tiles compared to other killers. I like seeing guides made by actual experts of said killers opposed to youtubers that just have a good game with all killers in general.
-
@Kebek said:
As a Deathslinger main believe me you don't want to buff him. I've been playing him at rank 1 since he came out pretty much exclusively (one of the most speared survivor downs out there https://dbd.onteh.net.au/playerstats/76561198055397106/ ) and I'm doing quite well even againt very sweaty SWF teams as long as I aim + predict well and don't make many overall mistakes during the match.
I'm positive that he's in a good spot right now ( maybe some nerfs to his TR in trade for some very slight number buffs is only change I think wouldn't break him). No real changes are needed right now, at least when there are other killers in far bigger need of changes then Deathslinger.
Oh thats interesting you should think about writing a comprehensive guide for deathslinger on steamcommunities. As you are very experienced with him! Id love to see it
-
Hope this helps bud!

As a mod for him, i have to reccomend One_Stalky_Boi. Also I hear Madm3rt is pretty good!

Yeah whered this originate from, the photo.

Personally as someone who has been playing alot of bubba lately, I love the staple pwyf and nemesis combo.
Ive been loving spirits fury and enduring with BBQ and Pop on him lately tho, chainsaw almost every down and be super aggressive. I dont reccomend for people trying to learn him tho. Definetly only chainsaw when you know u can get the hit at first. Bubba isnt the strongest killer, and can be hard to get the hang of his saw at times.
Also watch the Pig killer guide by ScorpionZ on youtube, Otzdarva has a good small and quick guide for Bubba too
-
I have currently been rocking Bubba with ruin, nemesis, pwyf, and bbq! Not really my main but ive mostly been playing only him for about a month while i was p3, all perking him up

If you hate dead hard holding hands to cover up mistakes that you should have gotten a down for then blood echo if for you. And it's perfect on legion since everyone should be injured when you play legion. :)
Yeah im with you mate, love blood echo on legion.

I run Thanatophobia as a backup in case Ruin gets insta-cleansed, since it can also be used while Ruin is up, unlike Pop. My final Perk slot of choice is Enduring, for no other reason than pallet stuns are annoying.
Ok thanks for your reply! (Side note whats OP's problem lol?)
Enduring is really good on legion, saves him on stuns from frenzy if u take the pallet stun instead.
Are you a legion main?
-
@notsonew said:
After many many games in red ranks (1), some unbalanced and balanced games, ruin is an extremely viable perk on legion, obviously like any other hex perk it can be destroyed in the first 20 seconds but if it doesn't, it gives you extreme value.
Legion is the only killer but doctor that force survivors to stop their actions to mend, and so, gives regression time on the gens, you find survivor(s) use feral frenzy and they leave the gen, ruin starts, you hit one or many, ruin still works, some stay close while some run away, those that ran or stayed close need to mend, and if you come back to the gen they can't work on it since they are injured and so ruin keeps working, ruin always take progress away with legion, compared to other killers, which either insta down or simply injure, survivors don't need to spend time doing another action and can repair gens instantly, with legion they are forced to mend and so always lose progressions .
I made a build with this strategy and so far after around 7+ games, with 4 kills and less than 2 gens done on each.
Build is:
Duration add-on and either nasty blade or filthy blade
Thanatophobia, BBQ, Ruin and Blood echo
The point of the build is to always always always apply pressure on survivors, since as soon as you see them they leave the gen and it start regressing.
You must do everything for it to always regress, use feral frenzy when seeing one and find the others, spread the damage for thanatophobia to do it's work, increase the mending time so ruin works even more, if the decide to heal they sacrifice gen progression.
Once you down a survivor and hook them, you see where the other survivors are at and so go for them, and since they are most likely still injured because if they heal the gen they work on will regress, they are now exhausted, so no need to worry about dead hard or any other perks.
You can freely chase them without the need to worry about those perks, and it can cause an endless snowball effect, hook one, get to other survivors, use FF if needed, ruin do it's job, they are exhausted, hook and do again.
Once you applied the initial pressure, Which is the first hook, there's barely anything they can do, if they decide to heal on hook, it's more regression, and use FF so that time wasted will be even more significant.
I've been getting a lot of success on this build in every game I played, your first gen might get rushed if you don't get them in time, but it isn't too bad, many times i lost 2 gens in the first 2-3 minutes and the game lasted for like 10+ minutes and couldn't complete another one.
Let me know what you guys think about this build and let me know your results if you tried it out.
Have fun
I really like your idea im going to try out the build later!

If you're going to run Ruin on Legion, I would suggest Monitor and Abuse with, oddly enough, Killer Instinct range addons—at least one. The bonus range from Monitor in a chase and from the addon makes it so that you can be far from your totem and still see if someone is going for it, or if they're on gens and you can Frenzy on over to get Ruin to activate.
It's like the one time either Ruin or Legion will ever be viable and I love it.
Oh thats very smart what else you run besides ruin and monitor.

@Stitch7833 said:
clown isnt as bad as people think, while there are stronger killers each one has their bonuses and with the new tile spacing and removed god loops clown is a pretty mean foe at anti-looping. my build i use is:
Corrupt, dont leave home without it lol, great way to force the map smaller which means less worrying about other gens and its a great way to get the game rolling, usually get 2+ hooks before its over
POP, another gen defense as youre gonna want it, doesnt matter how fast downs can be gens can also be fast so you really wanna manage them the best you can so 25% regression per hook yes please
BBQ, you need a perk to find other survivors, it saves time and can help you to know which gen to pop... oh and bonus BP thats nice too
Brutal, this perk is an honest god send when combined with the add-ons i use, but this allows you to hit gens fast and destroy pallets faster all saving some time, before breaking the pallet hit the survivor with your bottle (theyre likely waiting on the other side for you to break it) what this will do is slow them down so they get less distance and you destroy the pallet quicker which means even less distance.
Add-ons: Extra duration of effects + bonus hindered effect (sorry i forget the names) really slows them down for a long duration too making him even more anti-loop
extra: probably obvious but clowns anti-loop which means at most loops you can walk one side and throw a bottle then turn back and chase them through it, on most loops this can be a hit with these add-on if you can cut the corners right or worst case they drop the pallet fast (then do as said in the brutal perk section) be on point with aiming, hitting a bottle as theyre running from one loop to a new one can mean a hit or a super fast pallet drop, remember the sooner the pallets drop the sooner their defenses have gone
Oh thanks i really enjoyed your write up of clown ill defintely try it out seems like a very fun build.

I'm playing both builds, "Strong Chase Clown" and "No Healing Clown" because playing same perks all over will getting tired and i want to try the next/new builds.
Sorry, i can't decide which builds is better but:
If survivors bring too many medkit and/or luckily equip selfcare. "No healing Clown"
If else, "Strong chase Clown" (Replace Fired Up with Pop/BBQ/STFBL/NOED. Or any strong perks)
Sorry for confusion, my english are bad
Its fine ill try out those builds sometime!
-
@DingDongs said:
Yes but fired up is only for "More speed for breaking pallets
and memeing"No Pallets + Clown slow bottle mean easy shut down chase on middle~late game
But tbh, Pop/BBQ/STBFL/Noed is way better than Fired up, i can promise that.
Sorry little bit confused are you saying your second build is better?
-
@DingDongs essentially you use Brutal, spirits, enduring, and fired up tho right?
@EmpireWinner said:
Stbfl, Bbq, Bamb, and pop
Seems solid always love bbq for bp, and pop is excellent on anyone, and i know stbfl is supposed to be quite well on him, hows bamboozle on him funnily enough, only used bamboozle on him for his adept.

If you want Clown with Gen Regression, maybe "NO healing clown" is also work too i guess
Thana + Coulophobia + Pop/Ruin + Sloppy
OR
Thana + Coulophobia + Pop/Ruin + Dying Light + Sulphuric Acid Vial add-on (120 sec Mangle)
Not also slow the gens but also waste their time with slow healing (Even MORE slow if they're in terror radius)
I don't recommend Distressing+Coulophobia with Clown for me because you want to come closer to survivors as soon possible
Oh no no im not doubting your build im just wanting to discuss it. Its very interesting. Ive not seen people use that stuff for clown.
-
@DingDongs said:
Brutal Strength + Enduring + Bamboozle/Spirit Fury + Pop(or replace Fire up if you want maximum meme) is also good choice for me because survivors always early drop pallets when chase unless they're not smart. Break pallets while you slowing them with gas.
You want to finish chase and loop fast as possible and use pop quickly.
...Or just pick Noed because nobody cleanse bones at all and YOU KNOW clown's terrible map pressure will end the gens quickly so it's just work
Thats interesting, surprised that you dont have any gen regression for him.
-
Umm its always done this ever since ive had this game lol
They need to fix it...but its nothing new.

Considering the one death he got was a kill rather than a sacrifice, I'd wager he brought a mori and tunnelled the bottom player trying to get it. He doesn't have any perks that can cause a mori, so unless the UI bugged and gave the bottom player a kill skull instead of a sacrifice, he brought a mori and edited the screenshot to show no offerings.
Or the guy, ya know, bled out lol. Lets not make baseless accusations.

No he cant see scratches in frenzy. So if he can see blood that might be a sorta slept on perk for him

Jungle gym changes probably won't hurt good runners. Gen changes will help higher level killers and make Prove Thyself a bit more appealing to more people.
Legion change will be interesting. Bloodhound might be made viable on them now how a lot of people say that Shadowborn is for Huntress and Nurse.
Why would bloodhound be good on legion?
Can he see blood in frenzy i forget.
-
Heres what i run on him and i do quite well with him. Thana, Pop, BBQ, Nurses calling. This punishes survs for healing (nurses) and for not healing (thana) added to the fact its easy to injure people and if everyone is injured you get more value for pop bc gens will take a tad bit longer to do. BBQ for tracking and bloodpoints.
