Out of the five killers I play:

    Doctor

    The Shape

The Shape and The Ghost Face are my mains.

Yo mind me asking for demo tips? Everytime i play him I get bullied.

I do just fine as Myers and Legion (my mains) but in red ranks I tend to be destroyed as Demo, I did watch a good Pouncing guide and its helped alot, but still I tend to get gen rushed because I cant keep pressure up.

Do we have a name for that patch that removed the timing for getting a pallet/flashlight stun? The one that had to revert like a week later because if someone was down at a pallet it was impossible to pick them up if another survivor was nearby?

Dont know, i just know that The Mettle of Man Crisis as a name is funny as frick. lol

  • @EvilJoshy said:

I think we should have a 5th perk slot that is reserved for certain perks only. Like throw all the 2nd chance perks or gen slow down perks into this category and you can only equip one. To prevent stacking of OP perks. Have you noticed most new survivors/killers have crap perks? I think it's because they can't add something new without disrupting the game. MoM being the prime example. That was a terrible moment in dbds history yet if you could only run MoM it might have been fine. It was OP when it was mixed with ds, bt, and adren.

"Terrible moment in Dbds history", also known as the Mettle of Man Crisis, let it be known that is ie what this time period shall be known as.

It wasn't that, it was Pop Goes the Weasel, Nurse's Calling, Thanatophobia, and BBQ & Chili.

If you read above you'll find all the add-ons, strategies, and the descriptions of why I use those perks. Also, I use that same build above and in this comment to this day and it still does work in Red Ranks.

Oh no no if you read my comment above I mention about how that build really works for me on Legion and Ill be keeping nurses on my Legion, THEN i go on to talk about your myers build and asking about it. Sorry if it wasnt too clear. See "On a side note you use nurses on ur myers too right? Something like nurses, monitor, infectious, pop? Or am i wrong."

  • @FireHazard now that I think about it, I think your build was ruin, bbw, nurses, monitor since the last I asked, so I guess if you dont mind me asking, what have you changed it to now?

  • Umm no Pig isnt OP, thank you very much lol

  • Brings me back to my first game on dbd, yup I got hatemail for it smh. Shoulda took it a sign of things to come xD now I'm just used to it reporting literally every message thats vulgar to psn bc they respond fast af ahahahah

Yes I still use this build, even in Red Ranks is does work when properly used.

Nurse's does work in Feral Frenzy yes, so you can chain-stab people that're healing OR just go for them and down them when they least expect it. It's a fairly solid build if you're interested in utilizing Nurse's into it.

@FireHazard ok reporting back about how its done for me, this has actually worked so well at keeping up pressure and for someone like legion who van struggle with getting downs this is perfect. If they dont heal I can find them easily through blood and groans and their speed on actions decrease, if they heal i can find them even easier and get a free down, this is definitely staying in my legion kit!

On a side note you use nurses on ur myers too right? Something like nurses, monitor, infectious, pop? Or am i wrong.

Okay, so no actual retort to what I said.

That's what I thought. You have nothing. Take a knee, bud.

(Also, toxic is not opinion based. Anything within the rules of the game is not toxic, period.)

Back away slowly. You don't want to get into this with me. You'll lose a good 10 years off your lifespan trying to debate with me. The only thing it will damage is your ego.

Imagine someone thinking "slugging" or "tryharding for the 4k is toxic". By that logic unhooking and tryharding for the 4man escape is toxic.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/132446/this-forum-is-so-biased-towards-killers

4ks against who? i escapre more than i do not. in fact escape has become the default by now and it doesnt feel earned or like a reward. piss easy as survivor.

For real lol, im getting these tomes done fast as crap, im doing solo queue survivor for these btw, but ive done all the escape tome challenges now.

  • For sure my dude, ive been running a killer the entire match every other day or so, and it blows my mind how hard some killers commit to me, im a solo queue survivor tho, and if my team can get me thats fine, if not oh well i won because I wasted his time. Then there are times where my team arent on any gens and are crouchwalking everywhere when im hooked lol ugh sometimes my team can be so dumb Haha

As a killer you have to know when a survivor is not worth your time and to drop chase and put pressure on someone else. I dont know its just silly to me to see a killer so dang committed to a chase. Like to me if the chase goes on for 30 seconds or more with nothing out of it (no hit or pallet) then i drop chase. But i understand if the killer camps me at the end of a long chase who can really blame them since they committed all game and its end game, all camping and tunneling goes out the window anyways. I will say this, as a console killer main, i hate going against swfs.

    @Scrimshaw

I wanted to add a bit more to this, as I wasn't too clear above due to being on mobile.

    first, your build

I like the concept, it's a pretty solid combo as said above.

But I wanted to go a bit more in-depth with it for you, just so you can get a better idea on what to combine and use.

Your build is solid for an anti-healing build, but if you're new and struggle with keeping generators active, than I have another build idea for you after this. But for now, we'll talk about what you're using and what I can add to this.

    A recreation of your build

Try this, this will focus on anti-healing but also give you some leeway for anti-gen progression as well. Use Pop Goes the Weasel, Coulrophobia, Sloppy Butcher, and Nurse's Calling.

    • Pop Goes The Weasel [A Clown perk] (This perk is very solid for any build and is one of the most used perks currently in the top tier meta. Pop Goes The Weasel is simple, once you hook a Survivor Pop Goes The Weasel with activate. When Pop Goes The Weasel is active, you have a 40/50/60 second count-down to use it, to use PGTW you kick any generator that's currently be repaired, this will give it a 25% flat regression penalty when PGTW is active, and once kicked PGTW will de-activate until it's next use. PGTW is very good for keeping generators in line, and you can use it with Legion to avoid using Ruin with the build)
    • Coulrophobia [A Clown perk] (Survivors within your Terror Radius will gain a 30%/40%/50% penalty to healing speed. This is pretty solid with how Legion works, and when combined with the Nasty Blade + Filthy Blade add-ons it can make mending and healing a very long process. Usually Survivors would heal more with Thanatophobia active, this build is to make them heal less and continue to be injured for most of the game.)
    • Sloppy Butcher (This is a very solid perk on any Legion build. Simply put, Sloppy Butcher will apply the Mangled and Haemmorrhage status effects on a Survivor. Depending on the Tier of Sloppy Butcher, it'll also cause Survivors to Slightly/Moderately/Considerably bleed at a increased rate. This perk is pretty solid for any Legion, but when combined with Coulrophobia, it can do some massive damage to healing speeds. And with Nurse's Calling you can see any Survivors that're trying to top of their healing within 24 meters, so if you are not 99% when Legion is 24 Meters away, than you're doomed)
    • Nurse's Calling [A Nurse perk] (This is important when using a anti-healing build. Not only will the build punish healing, it'll also give the Legion a 24 meter aura reading for any Survivors attempting to heal in that radius. This will make them think twice about healing near or around the area you're in, and it'll let you punish said healing to make them think twice about doing it in-general!)

So for one, don't use Unnerving Presence on Legion. The perk might seem good in practice, but it's honestly not needed on a Killer like Legion. Unnerving Presence is more for Killers like Doctor that work off of a big Terror Radius. And while combining it with Iridescent Pin is a good idea, it's not suited for builds that focus on anti-healing in the first place.

the add-ons you should use with this anti-healing build

In my opinion, you should for sure use Filthy Blade + Nasty Blade. FB and NB is great for increasing mend times and making the concept of healing an even more fruitless effort. If you have to mend for a long time and than heal for a long time, it's better to just stay injured in that case.

It punishes them for healing AND it rewards you with instant downs and PGTW generator kicks. If you can down someone instantly and hook them a lot, than nobody will ever be able to rush the gens quickly, since you'll just be there with a PGTW activation and regress a generator down by 25%

If you feel like experimenting a bit, than you can try using Filthy Blade + Stolen Sketch book for longer Feral Frenzy sprint times, or you can just use the classic Stolen Sketch Book + Mural Sketch that increases your FF activation time by a lot more.

    last, my build (a summary)

This should be a better use of Legions powers and give you some leeway to avoid gen-rushing. It rewards the one shot down of the anti-healing build AND benefits you when hooking Survivors, since PGTW will activate and let you regress any generators that're close or half-way from being done.

If you want to experiment with other builds, you can try out the one I use. But I won't go in-depth with this one as that would take a lot more writing and time.

Here's the build I use, Thanatophobia, Pop Goes The Weasel, BBQ & Chili, and Nurse's Calling.

    a summary of my build

This build actually works off of Survivors forcefully healing, and rewards you as such. I've used this build a lot in Red Ranks and still 4k with it. The basic summary though is this, Thanatophobia will make Survivors think it's beneficial to heal. Why? Because they want to avoid the penalty it gives to repair speeds, so if they heal I can see them within 24 meters with Nurse's Calling and than down and hook them to regress their generator by 25% with PGTW!

BBQ & Chili comes in after the hook to get a basic idea of any Survivors that may be gen-rushing a gen together or trying to save, if so, I can chain-stab them on the way to the generator that's being worked on by 2 or the rest of the survivors, and once i'm there i'll chain-stab them all and than kick the generator with PGTW still active.

So in a sense i'm rewarded for Survivors that heal around me, and it encourages Survivors to heal more because of Thanatophobia, so the more Survivors that are injured, the more encouraging it is to heal.

the add-ons I use with my build

I mostly just use Stolen Sketch Book + Mural Sketch, it benefits the build because I have a longer FF sprint and I can chain-stab for a lot longer to ensure everyone stays damaged.

I might also use Filthy Blade + Stolen Sketch Book with it, but my most common alternative is Iridescent Pin + Stolen Sketch Book, just so I can break a lot of clumped up pallets and create a bunch of deadzones.

so what is my builds main focus though?

Damage over hooking. It's kind of like the one above, except it encourages healing and punishes it. If nobody heals, than it's as if i'm using a anti-healing build! Players will straight up avoid healing when they know it benefits me, so they'll stay damaged and get downed easily in a lot of the deadzones I created afterwards.

It's a pretty solid build, and it really does show in Red Ranks.

    conclusion

I hope this helps you out, its a more in-depth look into what I was getting at above, and maybe it's a lot more informative and helpful to you!

    Stay safe out there,

    see you in the fog.

You still running this build? Personally Ive been running the same build except that I use surge instead of nurses, Ive been looking into using nurses calling on Legion though, you are right this punishes survs for healing and not healing. Im guessing nurses also works while in frenzy right? I only ask because ive never ran it on him.

  • I know right its so annoying, it feels like when i get a tome to escape, i get tunneled and destroyed but when its a normal game I escape fml hahah

  • @FogLurker said:

We need a proper sandbag game mode. A special map for 1 killer, 20 survivors, 19 hooks. All the survivors try to screw each other, killer just goes on a smacking spree. Last survivor alive gets a guaranteed 32k BP. Slugging doesn't work as survivors have built in unbreakable. The incentive for unhooking is survivors get 1% more movement speed and it stacks with every unhook.

Random idea, seems fun for both sides. The only point of this would be for fun.

Kinda like a twist on the battle royale formula lol i cant believe im saying this, but this sounds really fun. I imagine bubba would be meta vs sandbaggers lol

  • Yeah you get such a huge penalty and it takes so long to get tier 3 with those addons that at that point if you are hit with it no one is to be blamed but you and your team, its hardly overpowered. Iri head yes, tombstone myers eh.

Wrong, billy has the initial really high turn sensitivity when the saw first starts, this is the flick people are talking about. No need for addons to flick.

Anyhow i love billy, even tho i literally never play as him. Hes fun to face tho.

Hey fellow boogeyman. Currently I use monitor, corrupt, pop, and thrilling tremors.

Corrupt replaced ruin after the nerf, and honestly I am finding it far more effective than ruin ever was. Michael's early game is very important as you know, and its been very helpful in getting my stalk without getting gen rushed, and its guaranteed not to go bye-bye within the first minute like ruin often did.

Monitor and pop are self explanatory, and thrilling tremors gives great info for what gens are being touched when you down someone. If you have your tier 3 ready to go, too, then even better. Go over to that gen and use that tier 3 to snowball if you can. Of course use your pop to knock that gen back down.

Hello Dweet! Yeah I almost always use corrupt and pop on Myers, and I would agree, after the ruin nerf I feel corrupt is way better on him now even more so then pre ruin nerf because it helps me get out of tier 1 way faster.

Im always changing in monitor or taking it out depending on how im feeling as well! Ive not really used thrilling tremors on myers yet much (dont get me wrong i use this on some other killers and love it). Ill try it out on him! My only thing is I feel myers needs something in chase like bamboozle (which I also dont use something to help him chase). Just something im starting to feel. I would honestly prefer brutal because it synergizes with his power more so bc you can stalk behind pallets then break them but sadly brutal strength needs buffed as its effect on pallets are hardly a noticeable timesave.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

A good Myers. A really skilled Myers player impresses me when they use their tier 3 wisely. Don't over stalk one survivor at once so they have little to none left on them later in the match. Best of all shows Michael's snowball potential.

Hey fellow Myers main, mind me asking your build? Im always looking for more myers builds to try out, as I can never really decide on one to stick with lol

  • @Mringasa said:

Be a waste with infinite T3 I think. I like to run DH with Myers, that way I can save a bit of stalking for later in the game once I get 3 stacks. It stays up most of the time too because people are afraid of Haunted Ground.

An all OHKO build though... you'd really need mobility to make it work. Spirit, Billy, Nurse, Freddy potentially could make it really nasty. Especially if you get the Survivors pushing through gens because they just want to gtfo and get away from the nasty person. Could probably 4k pretty easy if you manage stacks on DH and it sticks around for a little bit. Only problem is, Hex Perks are Hex Perks and it's so RNG based where they will be lit.

Oh dang that sounds fun, I havent used dh on myers much myself. What does your build consist of? Are you a myers main?

Id like to try that build out.

  • Personally i think babysitter should also hide blood trails, and remove injured sounds from the unhooked and see the killers aura for the amount of time the perk is active. Maybe extend the time of the perks effects, maybe also a short little speed boost like when you get hit, once unhooked, just ideas.

Well it really depends. Mind me asking, Dıd you main legion before the rework?

Nope just recently p3 lvl 50d him with all perks. I didnt start this game till shortly after ash came to the game so which rework we talking about here? I started playing him alot more last month tho but played him off and on as my bp farmer. Obligatory yes in red ranks statement here.

I do like his most recent changes to vault speed and frenzy speed tho. Just wish normal m1s didnt take away half his power without reason like a status effect of some kind.

Survivors whipping out the Haddonfield and commodius toolboxes

Killers whipping out the OP addons and Mori's

Welcome to the great DBD Wars of 2020

Thats hilarious, now i have a name for 2 different time periods in dbd, the mettle of man crisis AND The Great DBD Wars of 2020.

  • Seriously the only reason i dont want crossplay is because I dont want to face PC killers that have much more sensitivity then us, I couldnt imagine facing a pc nurse after facing a ps4 nurse as an example. Like thats a no from me. If we have better fps, and the same sensitivity then yes :) plus i want us to be the same anyways, there should be no reason that some killers are better on pc then console.

  • Im not going to get in the fight here or anything but sensitivity on console is a issue, you can raise your sensitivity on PC dbd much higher then you can on console. The console version defintely needs to be changed to be in line with pc.

This is literally the main reason nurse sucked on console. It quite simply needs changed sooner or later, so it will be the same.

To the people who are saying its just fine, no its not, because its not consistent with the PC version. If there is to ever be crossplay in the future you will tell a noticeable difference in pc killers to console killers lol you will rarely be able to 360 a pc killer like you can vs a console one.

4 full pages with the 5th page looking like this is the goal for all my killers. Ive got BBQ on afew other killers but I feel like this loadout just works too well on Legion to really wanna swap something out (just my opinion).

Welp funny enough, just last night, I maxed out my Legion, maybe ill just run that build and during x2 BP events run bbq. How does the build fare without the Legion pin? Like if im not always wanting to use all my addons.

I like using BBQ for the BPs, but I've been getting away from it to try to find interesting builds. Ironically, my Bubba is one of the characters that I havent been running BBQ on lately.

Same here especially on my main Myers bc he already sucks at BP gain anyways.

Overcharge on survs who are able to do greats on a regular basis is a waste of a perk. They are hitting greats which is 1/4 the size of the overcharge skillcheck.

So, yeah. I agree with your assessment that overcharge is a waste

Exactly only good on doc and even then id probably just take pop lol

  • Honestly id like to see some gameplay with doc and Zanshin tactics. I thought about it being the only killer where the perk would actually be good on. I dont have doc lvld up enough to try it myself.

  • @yadielrodriguez said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1086232#Comment_1086232

Not bad but need overcharged for sure because it did save me a lot of time when there is 1 or 2 gens left with the doctor but other than that is a great build and thank you but why need infection frights on him when they can scream already and I feel sloppy is not that great perks because is only for healing it don't affect gens like thana phobia and dying light.

Just trust me, try it out, you wont need overcharge its not that good a perk. And dying light and especially thana isnt good on doc, much better on legion or plague as they can keep people injured constantly. If you use that build they wont have time to do gens because they are constantly healing/slugged/getting out of tier 3 or messing up skill checks on gens or healing.

Infectious helps you snowball, you only get shock blast every minute, infectious allows you to constantly be in chase and to know when to slug and when to hook. You down someone and no one screams? Hook him, down someone and someone nearby screams? Slug the first and go for the second guy, down him and return to the first and hook and use shock blast to find the next person or interrupt their healling of said slug.

However if you really need overcharge use it instead of infectious, dont take off the other 3 perks. Overcharge isnt bad on doc with those addons and perks.

  • @yadielrodriguez said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1085286#Comment_1085286

Doctor Im a wraith main and he fail me against ranks 1 but doctor like damn he so good he can stop them so I starting to play with him more often and I use save the best for last because it the best perk in the game and blood warden and dying light and something else.

Ok I like using sloppy and coulrophobia on Clown, but if you are using Doctor, use another users build (DudeDelicious). Trust me his doctor build is gooooood.

Coulrophobia, Infectious Fright, Distressing, and Unnerving Presence.

Addons: when possible use Obediance and restraint what this will do will counter calm spirit bc it will highlight survs that go up in madness, and it will make your hard unnerving skill checks even tougher by making them have a higher chance to turn counter clockwise.

Another pair of addons u can use that are easier to get are the Order class addons there are a purple, yellow, and brown version of it and stack any 2 of these, what this will do will make your static blast increase their madness even more so for example they will get to tier 3 madness faster.

The gist of it is, down someone if someone screams go for them, coulrophobia will ensure they stay on the ground, if someone heals them unnerving will screw their skill checks letting u know they are there and regresses their recovery bar, you can static blast them off the heal possibly putting them into tier 3 madness (meaning they can heal no one until they get rid of it) and infectious to snow ball and distressing as a direct buff to your power, coulrophobia and unnerving. So there, let me know what you think.

But this thread is about the perks that are just...just so useless, so pointless, they are just never ever worth using.

Personally (and logically) I feel there are more of these on the survivor side, ill start with my list:

    Killer:

Mindbreaker - Territorial Imperative - Hangman's Trick...thats honestly it for me, the rest I feel all has SOME use.

    Survivor:

Buckle Up - Boil Over - Sole Survivor - Camaradarie (only because other survivors have to know you have it in order to make use of it, which they dont)

I would also like to add that more perks would have been added, but some still make SOME sense if used in a combo, like Up the Ante and Slippery Meat, but both of these are reaaaaally bad on their own.

I dont agree with territorial, its actually not bad on Bubba because if you get caught in basement against bubba its gg for you, situational but still. Id take out territorial and put Zenshin Tactics here.

I’m in the same boat. I’m currently in Green only because I’d deranked to brown from red the past few resets because i went through a period focusing more on survivor.

I actually got deranked all the way to yellow before I started playing killer somewhat frequently again and even then I only do a couple games. I still like to talk killer builds and that stuff in general..but I swear im not that good at survivor and its a cakewalk. No stress, if my team sucks oh well ill die or get hatch and wait for the next game, if the killer camps oh well my team will usually escape. Now as killer I have to absolutely sweat, entity forbid I dont absolutely destroy the survivors or its t bag city xD like sometimes i just wanna chill.

I will say tho, Im really loving the perk diversity thats going on between all killers, alot less ruin on every build and more unique stuff, even for me I used Ruin to slow down the early game for myers bc he needed it, and now I dont even use a early game slow down for him, I just try to hurry up and get out of tier 1 and snow ball from there.

  • Oh im a red rank killer/was lol Ive been playing alot more survivor lately thus deranking me (started taking a break before the ruin nerf.) A lot less stressful and i can just mess around, get a little bp, and escape easily enough. Still consider myself a killer main tho.

But when I play survivor I dont see many red rank killers, usually its purple even tho im red rank.

Yeah it was 😂 I was like "guess Nea might really be the Entity"

I was trying to take out the weak links bc everytime i chased you, you wasted my time way more then everyone else, shoulda picked my number 1 main Mikey, bc i recognized you from the forums xD

You were the main reason I lost xD i couldnt have any pressure on you whatsoever haha still fun though. I do wonder if that map is glitched for anyone else tho it was weird from my perspective i was like half my size at the gas station lol

  • Yeah whatsup with all the bait recently lol? Both survivor and killer bait xD yes totally great idea to delete every survivor perk totally fair.

Also gg im pretty sure we played against each other super late last night, I was Legion on Azarovs. I think it was 3 or 4 am for me so I didnt do all that good, in fact Icouldnt even get my bbq stack from u.

Was the map derped for you too around the gas station? Like youd sink halfway into the ground.

personally currently afk'ing in the basement, survivors team is messing about I think, im watching a youtube vid.

Survivor lobbies take to long so if I want to make any progress in the rift, this is my current route.

What do you mean you are afking in the basement, hows that help with progressing with the rift? Im curious lol

  • Ok this is what im wearing so far, should I change anything? @FireHazard its worked so far for me.
