There was never any official confirmation that the release was today. I think YOU need to take a step back and calm down. It's a game. Get some fresh air lol It will come when it comes.

I know the chances of it being today are very slim, but Queen's attempt to hype by saying "Soon™" on every post she goes to about the matter doesn't work for hype.

Yea they would rather troll us with the "SoonTM" instead of answering legitimate questions like the color blind support topic in the wishlist. It's went unanswered for WEEKS.
I feel like they shouldn't reveal new content but with the exception of it being really important to someone! If I can't play a game due to a bug or disability (Colorblinded), they should keep us updated on their fix/update! However they shouldn't reveal when a DLC will drop since you'll expect it and it ruins the surprise kinda but everyone is different! :)

Doubt that, you're probably around rank 10 knowing your skill in nurse.

He said "Survivor", dude. And while I appreciate the compliment, lack of training with the Nurse has made me weak with her. Besides, I've mostly been playing Pig and Clown. I did a few streams where I rotated, but I found I needed to practice with those two most of all (Huntress too).

I know, I read it properly. I just didn't have a lot of time to add more details. However yeah, one of the best killers, keep it up! :)

No idea. I usually leave ASAP and have stopped caring about BP, rank, and all that jazz.
EDIT: Come to think of it, I haven't played Survivor in a while, so I'm probably rank 20.

Doubt that, you're probably around rank 10 knowing your skill in nurse.

I'll quickly add my opinion right here, if the survivors work together, since this is a asymmetrical horror game. The killer should get 2 sacrifices/kills but if the survivors are uncoordinated then the killer should be able to get 4 sacrifices/kills since the survivors didn't work as a team.

But then shouldn't a highly coordinated team get 4 escapes?

If a coordinated team is projected to get 2 escapes, then the average team would be 1 escape, 3 kills.

However this is where we get into a grey area, people say it's a "horror" game and that you should feel lucky to survive. I get confused about this topic to be honest! :(

Furthermore this is not one of those "oh it's so rare there is no reason to make it a big deal" moment... the fact that it's possible/exists in the game and it's not difficult to do should be plenty of reason for the devs to fix the issue by making the game more interesting and fun by adding in different objectives (which this is something that they are doing.... when? Nobody knows atm)
I mean if everything is perfect for the survivors then yes, this can happen but however people over exaggerate this! For example, I can kill all 4 survivors in 2 minutes but does that mean the killer is OP? No, because that was the survivor's fault. With the video, the killer didn't use ruin and every survivor had DS, SB, SC, and Unbreakable... Some of the most broken perks. If the Killer could hook someone then generators would take slightly longer and using Ruin would add slightly more time. Additionally the killer wasn't great during a chase... As a Pig main, rank 1, can down survivors in 1 minute or less since she counters pallet looping.

Now, don't get upset, killer's are severely underpowered, I agree with you there but showing something that happens once in a blue moon does not mean that's how every game is what I'm trying to tell you guys! Call me biased but it's the truth, every game is different! :)
  • Had a survivor game where Myers was basically owning us, and got to stage there were 2 of us left with my other survivor was hooked and I was on last hook. Could have let survivor die and go for hatch, but I foolishly went on for save, got the save but as expected was knocked down. The killer though thought I've got this so left me on floor and went after last survivor I saved.
Let's just say I crawled to spot of overgrowth and recovered, whilst last survivor got hooked. Whilst recovering Myers came back for me and "lost" me. Ha! Thanks to unbreakable I made a dash for it and found the hatch. :-)

The killer was obviously very good and expected a 4 kill so yay!!!
    I rate 10/10.

Teir 3 myers sounds rather op if you give him relentless for a total of 65% reduction not to mention a lunge as long as post blink nurse. I mean get in swinging range and you're done.

The bear traps are a bit much, 15  seconds is a pretty long time being immobile especially if the killer has your devour of hope.

D strike sounds like a massive downgrade. People have a hard time wiggling free themselves and you suggest to double it for a 1 time perk? It makes iron grasp/agitation redundant
I mean, my goal with these changes was to make the game more fun! For example: No one likes to be the first one being NOED or EW 3'd! At least with Myers, you have a chance to get away, even if it's a small chance! I just dislike the exposed status effect in general since it's so unfun for the survivor, think of it as being gen rushed as as killer... You had no chance of getting a sacrifice type of unfun. Now the bear trap, you might have a point, it's probably OP so if more people say it's then I'll reduce the time down to 10 seconds if that's okay with you! :)

Decisive Strike, I think you miss understood me a little! Basically if the survivor wiggled 75%, 60%, then on their final hook 15%... That would be enough % to get the DS skill check and break free from the killer's grasp. I would actually use DS if this is how it was reworked since it's the killer's fault for taking too long to hook me! Overall, great civil and valid points @starkiller1286!
Ok  the d strike makes way more sense  and it also allows for mind games. A 10 second bear trap is more reasonable since the killer tends to be far off when the survivor gets trapped and if they aren't they'd probably get picked up anyway. Thank you for correcting me on the decisive perk and your line of thinking.
    Anytime! :)
  • Just asking but how do you get devour hope and ruin?
Level Hag up to level 30+ and get the teachable perks!

So I've been trying to practice with the Nurse and I'm still showing no signs of improvement because well I seriously can't catch anyone they typically get away and I spend way too much time chasing them but what I've noticed is a lot of survivors keep running into me so I blink past them and well any ideas where I can get around this?

Also any tips on actually downing a person?

Don't use any add-ons that affects your blinks! Use add-ons that cancel each other out while not affecting your blink! For example, you could use "Metal Spoon" and the "clock" add-on to get a moderately decreased fatigue time but your blink is not effected since you used a common add-on to cancel the negative in the uncommon add-on!

As a Pig main, games are usually 5 minutes long if the survivors are extremely competitive but otherwise, your looking at 10 to 20 minutes games. A lot of killer's say "2 minute" games but even myself with 600 hours haven't had a game where all generators are powered on in 2 minutes.

All 4 survivor jump on different gens asap (5-10 sec)

Only one survivor can get chased at a time, everyone else stick to his gen.

60-80 seconds later 3 gens should be done and the first victim hooked.

Now either a) killer is camping and the remaining gens will be done in another 60-80 sec or b) killer is not camping -> free unhook and heal -> repeat the above.

    = 120 - 160 seconds to do all gen

This leaves another 1- 2 minutes to open the gates and you are still way under 5 min.

Okay, that's all cool and all but it's easier said than done. LINK me a generator rush video that shows all generators being powered on in 2 minutes! :)

    Challenge accepted.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=67&v=rJqFxk8U0OY

    Gens got powered in 2:57.
Solid 2 minute gen rush there.

    Well, let's analyse the video!

All generators were powered on in 2:57 seconds because the killer had to deal with 4 DS and he wasn't using Ruin! Assuming how many greats Math88 landed, game would probably be around 6 minutes at most taking into account every survivor can hit greats like he can. Additionally, the killer can't hook a single survivor due to a perk giving the survivor a jail free card! If the Killer could someone, the generators would take a little longer since someone would need to rescue the survivor! Again, there was a lot of variables that went perfect for them and it's not on the current patch!

Is killer AFK because it is not normal to finish generators in 110 seconds. I have played more than 900 hours and didn't experience anything like this.

If we are going to talk about theories here is mine.

One survivor is afk. You down and hook him in 10 seconds. Three people run to save him and you down all of them with your chainsaw. All of them attempt to escape and fail and don't struggle and die.

    Who else noticed...

Time it takes to repair all gens: 110 seconds

Time to kill all survivors: 60 seconds

    Ez.

I think both killers and survivors should be more reasonable.

    Yes it does.

It is NOT a vote system. There is no magic number of votes where the person just gets automatically punished. Each one is reviewed individually, and if we can prove them, they will be punished. Although it goes without saying that it's not exactly possible to go through every single report, so the report system is going to see some changes in the future to make it easier to find those repeatedly getting reported and such.

You should still absolutely use them. Making a report logs the game and its chat log and allows the ACMs to investigate it. Without reporting it, it'll only save a very limited amount of info and we won't be able to investigate as much.

There's an actual team dedicated to reports now, basically. About a month ago they hired six of us. You may not see massive changes over night, but over time, we hope to weed out most of the toxic people and cheaters. Please just click that report button though. I can't stress that enough. It's really important for us in order to do our job.

How would you deal with reports on console? I heard the developers can do nothing to console players if they are breaking the code of conduct in DBD.

All gens can be completed in 108 seconds assuming no great skillchecks, no perks, no toolboxes and no walking times

I usually try and get 2 generators done as fast as possible when I play as a survivor, then I'll go for unhooks and stuff like that! If my team does get sacrificed, I have Solo Survivor so I can heal in NC range and I can look for the hatch easily! :)

That completely fine! It's just a joke when you're on the hook, especially SWF because you know that you're getting saved but since you can't see who's saving you... You'll have to hope that your SWF or Solo Q survivor will come to your rescue! :)

You'd be able to level a character to 50 and then almost Prestige III them with the sold items, addons, and offerings.

Well let's see how many ultra rare add-ons I have and let's do the math if I sell them! :)

I have 11 Rules Set NO.2 and 6 Amanda's Letters! So here comes the math assuming ultra rates sell for 8,000:

    11x8,000= 88,000 Blood Points
    6x8,000= 48,000 Blood Points

    88,000 Blood Points
    +48,000 Blood Points
    _______________________
    136,000 Blood Points

That's not much in my opinion since you'll need 2 million blood points to get very close to reaching level 50 from level 0.

I like this perk a lot, it counters a lot of the killer's aura reading perks and add-ons! However there is one slight problem, you become the obsession when you use it and when you're the obsession, it's not gonna be fun time! So, here is my slight solution to giving Solo Survivor a QoL buff!

    Solo Survivor:
As more of your friends fall to the Killer, you become shrouded in isolation and the Killer's Aura reading abilities towards you are disrupted.Your Aura cannot be read by the Killer within a maximum range of 16/18/20 metres for each killed or sacrificed Survivor.

For every survivor killed or sacrificed, gain a 5 % action speed bonus.

Increases your chance to be the Killer's Obsession.

Does your action speed count everything? (repairing, healing, cleansing, opening chests, vaulting)

Yes, I had to nerf the bonus speed down to 5 % because I just realized how much 10 % can do when multiple survivors use it!

I don't think it takes days to change it.

We also should be able to equip different parts of the clothes at the same time to decide which parts we want to buy.

Well to be fair, you don't know the codebase and how difficult/easy this would be to implement, and would it be worth to take a developer off of bug fixing/new features to implement a fringe feature that might not get used a lot?

Hey, I know exactly how hard it is since I'm taking a college level computer science class! Basically they have something called Binary and ASDIl (Sorry if I miss spelled it) which are related to "bits". It's kinda difficult since there are tons upon tons of bits, you would need to code a X amount of bits to add something like this in! It'll probably take a week for them to add this in DBD, nothing longer!

The thing is, you're invisible and invincible. You can easily get pallet saves and free unhook with ease but you can't progress the game as easily since you don't complete generators as fast! Additionally, the Kill won't know if he can mori you, he'll have to pay attention to the Kill opinion!

This will be too op and extremely unfair, you're basically allowing a survivor 2-4 minutes to do whatever the hell they want.

Picture this: You're the killer and are heading to a gen that is being worked on. You decide to circle around it a couple times to find who was working on it, you find no one so you kick it. Immediately after you kick it you notice that the gen didn't start sparking, so you kick it again. You do this for a little bit and don't know why it isn't regressing. Turns out there is a survivor that is invisible AND invincible, fixing the gen after each time you kick it. Basically making that generator impossible to regress for 2-4 minutes.

Another Example: You're the killer and are down to the last survivor. You're walking them to a hook about to kill them, when suddenly... A random pallet comes crashing down on you for no reason whatsoever the survivor manages to escape you and get the hatch. You then start getting messages saying "GG 2 EZ" "Baby Killer" or "Trash".

Tell me @Nickenzie if you were the killer, would that be fun to you? Would that be a "GG" to you? I guarantee that it would NOT be fun for killers. Also "high risk high reward" does not make sense with your idea. With Devour Hope it does make sense. Your high risk with DH is it being found and broken, but the high reward is being able to insta down and mori survivors. With your idea, there is no risk with the perk. If you aren't able to lose the perk, where is the RISK. Whats the risk? You'll get the points that you got before you died, but just can't get any points after that. With your perk idea, you've basically made a perk that can turn people like COUGH OCHID0 COUGH invisible AND invincible. Your perk is an overall BAD idea.

Nah, you would still depip if you died early. Besides, if you get downed... The killer can mori you right when you get downed. I think that is fair since your sacrificing a depip to help your teammates just a little more!
  • Master said:

Nurse: Can no longer blink through pallets.

Billy: Reduces movement speed when using his chainsaw dash.

Huntress: No has a longer reload animation.

Freddy: Doesn't reveal survivors' auras when they are outside your terror radius.

That's all, I know that killer's are OP at the moment and they require serious nerfs so hopefully this will put them back in line so survivors can get a easy win, ya know? ;)

JK, I was kidding about the killer nerfs, they actually need buffs and maybe some QoL changes! Please make killers scary again because they are so difficult to play against a single survivor, don't get me started on group of survivors!

Oh, somewhat off topic, make Amanda look like this to make survivors actually be scared to have her chase them!

If you seriously believe killers are OP; I recommend trying to rank up with them, Good luck and I will accept your apology in a couple of weeks.

But I was so happy the day when I was playing trapper, and came up against a few survivors that played well, got one flashlight save, got all gems done with me still having no one sacrificed (I did give them trouble though XD) and ended up with one dead, and all the others had been hooked at least. And they complimented the game in the afternoon game chat. Even had a laugh with me saying I was out of practice with daddy trapper.
