Congrats! Now for the next step: becoming the good Nurse!

Game:
Death is not an escape.
Salty survivors:
lol

I've seen a few talks about how to rework her in ways that aren't drastic or nerf her. The most common, of course, is to give indication that she's phasewalking. People have said before that she should be able to move grass or other small environmental details while using her power. Sure, it means places without grass like Hawkins or the Game will make her hard to detect again, but that's RNG for you. My suggestion on top of this is that she has her red stain and/or terror radius removed from her husk as she uses her ability. That way a Survivor can tell she's phasewalking but not know where she is. There's going to be a lot of posts about how Spirit should be reworked (both with informed and uninformed opinions) until BHVR decides to do something.
-
"Why are Survivors using perks that let them continue their objective?" is as dull a question as "Why are Killers using tactics that let them complete their objective?"
Everyone's going to bring something that furthers their goal, be it perks like DS or NOED or skills like mindgames and looping.
-
Lamest would have to be Wraith. No animosity for those who play him, I don't get upset going against him, but he's boring. His design doesn't have anything that stands out, and his power is too straightforward to be interesting. Every other killer has something that evokes an emotional reaction to me (frustration, excitement, humor), but Wraith is just "Oh, it's him. Okay."
-
Susie, especially when she misses a frenzied attack. The frustrated grunts and screams sound so childish, it's silly.
-
BHVR has already stated there won't be new maps until the last of the current maps have been reworked. After that, new maps will come. But I hope the first of those new maps is the neon-drenched city shown in the PTB lobby.
-
The worst part of all this is that there's no confirmation on his sexuality in any form, and yet creeps decide to hurl homophobic rhetoric at his design because he's more femme than the other male Killers.
-
Popular = bad (or "cringe") for dour people. The homophobia comes from the response to LGBTA+ fans speculating the new characters would be bi or gay, though that turned out not to be the case.
Also, sharp-looking Asian man = gay to those who don't have an original thought of their own. I'm liking the Trickster from a design point because he stands out so much from the rest of the Killers.
-
Haven't gotten to play him yet, but I'm loving his design and personality. He's a smug, smarmy egoist, and he's here to mug for the
cameraEntity. DbD has been in need of a bit of camp to lighten things up. -

I literally have nothing going on in my life.
Yeah, yeah, call me a basement dweller or say "get a life" or crap like that, but I want to play this game, and I want to have something adjacent to fun.
I like this game. It's the only game I own that's actually worth playing, or that I can talk about to anyone.
But I hate being bullied 24/7 by people who think that they're objectively better than me in every way. People who just want to make fun of me because it's easy. Because I'm not able to hurt them, regardless of how upset they make me.
I'm not going to buy Civ 6 just to play a game I don't want. I'm not going to waste the one hour of video game time I get per day playing with entitled pricks.
If they want to be toxic, I am going punish them as much as I can. If they want to piss me off, I promise you,
I WILL BREAK THEIR IMPURE BODIES.
Came back to this post to see what's changed. Before I thought OP had a hyperbolic post, but this takes the escape cake.
I want I WILL BREAK THEIR IMPURE BODIES tattooed on my back with a chibi Oni.
-
And then everyone clapped

Honestly NOED would be a lot more tolerable if the game incentivized totem cleansing. For most new and mid rank players, totems are seen as a "yeah, I guess" side objective. There should be more perks which encourage Survivors to cleanse totems regardless of if a hex is active or not, something akin to Inner Strength. Cleansing totems is a counter to NOED, and even with debuffs it takes about 10 seconds to cleanse. The issue comes down to Survivors prioritizing it.
-
Sometimes you just gotta have that "Aight I'mma head out" moment. If I'm not having any good results in a series of matches, I go to something else. You can't win them all.
-
Let's nerf Fixated too. You can see your scratch marks but they never go away and they cast beams of light for the Killer to see. /s
-
Survivor: Swamp
Killer: Ormond
Both: The Game (pre and post-rework)
I have such a hard time navigating the floors of the Game, and it always costs me.
-
It'd definitely be a nice change of scenery. I'm down with it.
-
People don't want to sit down and ask themselves "Why would I automatically assume LGBT+ representation is forced? Why am I bothered by the mere idea of a non-straight, non-cis character in a game?"
BHVR themselves have said they wanted to add proper LGBT+ rep into the game, so people theorizing and celebrating the possibility of the new character(s) being LGBT+ are hopeful posts putting BHVR to task.
I will always be on the More Rep train (gay NB), so the posts railing against that are extremely disheartening. Still, it is good to know the Mods have been cleaning up a lot of the bigoted posts. They deserve better than to deal with that garbage.

As survivor: escape or die making sure someone else escapes
As killer: Anything above a 2k, with a 2k being a draw
Same. If I can get 2k as Killer while hooking everyone at least once, I'm fine.
-
This would be more love than what Bethesda is showing the Evil Within franchise right now. But I wonder how the buyout by Microsoft would affect this. ๐ค
-
Yeah, you're better off leaving them. Not your fault you're going up against a camping Killer. Best they can do is stall while you complete objectives. Doing gens isn't a "counter" to camping, but it does limit its effectiveness.
-
My biggest issue comes from when teammates set me up to get tunnelled with horrible saves. Like, don't unhook someone when the Killer is close enough to smell your farts, they're going to get downed again.

"Please fix this" but doesn't say what to fix. What's actually wrong?
-
That's a good idea! Can't wait to not see it happen! :D
-
Stealth is a valid tactic but shouldn't be relied on. Hide when you can so you can continue your objective, don't hide indefinitely because you're scared or just wanna troll.
-
I've been pondering the idea of a werebeast Killer who can shift from human to monster form as a mechanic. In human form, they essentially use the same locomotion as Survivors and can do many things Survivors can do (crouch, vault, hide in lockers) but not objective-centric things (interact with gens or totems). And in human form, they play in third-person like a true Survivor and give off no terror radius.
When they turn into their beast form, all Survivors are altered either by a distinct auditory warning or the Killer's howl/screech. The perspective shifts into first-person as well.
-
Survivor: Jeff because he's daddy
Killer: Oni because he's daddy but murdery
-
Recently Leatherface because of the seeming uptick in Franklin-loving players who just like to camp.
-
Omg these are so cute! ๐๐น
-
Reading this, I started to get a suspicion that (should it last that long) DbD will be transitioning to Unreal Engine 5 within the next two years. Why would it? Dunno, but it feels like a BHVR thing to do.
-
I love them both, but Pyramid Head. He's literally a manifestation of grief and ablution through penance. With all the sins and regrets Kazan has, he's won't stand a chance against PH.
He can Demon Dash into Claudettes, but he can't Demon Dash away from his sins.
-
I've been behind the idea of some sort of collectible for Survivors to get for gen repairs for a while now, so I'm down with that. I'd rather it be a finite amount of these parts across the map, but they're not equipped like standard items. They're stocked inventory like tokens which can't be given away or dropped; however, once a Survivor dies, the parts they had go with them.
-
Unhooking your own targets
This must be some red rank meta tactic I don't know about. Don't see much reason for a killer to do that other than to put them back on the hook which would be really cheap.
-
Spine Chill and Nemesis!
-
The late night brings out all the thirst posts.
But yes, fundoshi Kazan when?
-
I'd rather it have no input needed at all and instead a "hold button to succumb" feature where you hold down said button for x amount of seconds.
-
My dumby eyes misread that as "corporate Astrologian" and I could only think of a Final Fantasy 14 healer in a corporate casual gear
-
Username checks out.
Just abandon the chase and go for someone else. A Survivor's goal in a chase is to waste your time. Don't let them.
-
The Survivor side of this game needs shaking up, but slowing how long it takes to complete their primary objective won't help anyone. Maybe if they had some bonus objectives that complimented it, that would be useful. Like if there were hidden scrap piles Survivors could find on the map to boost gen repairs, but it comes at the risk of revealing them to the Killer.
-
Considering that other better developed games give the option to opt-out of button-mashing QTEs, either by making it a button hold or just culling them entirely, this is all in the realm of possibility for BHVR to fix.
Also, as multiple people have stated here, no one likes the struggle mechanic, but suddenly when someone brings up their disability or neurodivergency not working with it, the mechanic is a-okay. OP has just as much a reason to complain on this as anyone else.

If it was one, I imagine it would be:

However so many are humanoids that I mean....many of them could just be skins of that one.
Ah yes, the Look-See, Slenderman's dapper cousin

I was fully expecting this to be a meme about the car
How dare you remind me of that automobile from that game. The horror.....

Just give me the chance to tell my teammates "Don't unhook me!" when the Killer is a fart's distance away, and I'll be fine.

It could work as a custom game mode. But like others have said, adding a public queue for this would be pure chaos and exacerbate many of DBD's issues (bugs, queue times, balance, bad teammates, etc.)
Yeah, I'd rather the option exist in custom for people who would want to try it with little risk

Survivor โ Rebecca Chambers
Killer โ Morpheus
Map โ St. Michael Clock Tower
I'm all for the lesser known aspects of RE getting a bit of appreciation. That and seeing headstrong characters like Claire or Leon get trounced without a chance to fight back feels so weird.
-
Did they announce this on any of their platforms, or were we supposed to learn this from DbDLeaks?
-
I give it one week before we start seeing posts calling for more solid but fair perks to get nerfed like Spine Chill and We'll Make It.

No Mither + Resilience + Iron Will + Tenacity
