Only perk that would help you to delay is Dead lock and Corrupt so you have to least one of those two in your inventory. There's really no perks to help you do well against SWF. Ruin? Gone in seconds. Pop? Can't use it if each chase takes more than a minute and you can't physically reach a generator before it pops. You have to rely on your experience as a Killer more than anything. Play as brutal as you can, make them work hard for it. Don't let them do stupid saves or do a full reset under the hook. Punish them for it, Find the weak link in the team. Slug them tactically where you know it'll buy you the most time. Even proxy camp when you know you're in a good position like a corner hook with three gen on your side of the map. Stack as much pressure as you can so anyone holding M1 has to leave and try to help
Actually maybe infectious fright would help you in this case if you're confident you can snowball fast enough with say Nurse, Oni, Blight and Spirit.

I'm a Killer at heart and play an unhealthy amount of Solo Q and I think banning people for playing with their Friends is nonsense.
In fact I would go on to say that I wouldn't give AF about SWF if I actually have the time to deal with them which you don't because Early game in matches are basically non existent most of the time or most killers can't physically do anything about generators unless you're Freddy or mobility killer and the list goes on. I don't think SWF are the sole problem they just display these flaws glaringly and The game is unbalanced at its core.

I'm in the very small minority in thinking Cenobite is S-Tier below Blight - 4th best in the game when Artist is released.
His incredible 4v1 allows for great pressure and intel, both are crucial for having a chance of winning in dbd as killer. His 1v1 is nowhere near as weak as people think it is; it prevents survivors making huge distance on peel aways, it holds them close when attempting to mindgame and rotate to them, it even interrupts and disrupts prompts. It's really good - the high skill cap should never be a reason for a killer to be considered weak.
When considering how strong a killer is, you have to consider what their power allows them to do when you play well with it - Cenonite mains at a high level will crush teams, his power is a huge scale tipper, he can juggle, interrupt, scout, deny loop rotations, locate the whole team, disrupt objectives if they aren't aware or organised. He is a real handful at a high level of play. AND on top of all that, his add-ons allow for drastically different playstyles and fun ones at that.
I mean isn't he getting Nerfed so his 4 v 1 sucks ass in a few days?

it does it on the first hook and when i remember to check later in the match. With boon totems and no hexes in play, survivors tend to avoid cleansing totems and i see them still standing around the map.
I mean you can't really tell because you're just assuming the Survivor didn't cleanse anything at all lol.

It is a duel since if you make one mistake you lose your life or in this case the entire match :^)

Yes, on multiple occasions. I'm sure if more killers got baited into talking in post-game chat, they'd find more of the same.
Lol end game chat.

Not really but I do miss when you can fast vault and not get hit on the other side :^)

I think killer movement speed needs to be increased. It will help the hold forward problem and cut down on BS god loops.
I think chase mechanics should be more precise instead. Like it should trigger when you're directly looking at a Survivor like let's say 3 seconds and it's frustrating you have to get some specific distance to even trigger it.
Triggering chase mechanic is more important than you think if you played enough Survivor and you play around this. You can basically Hold W even further because the killer is struggling to catch up. On maps like haddonfield where there's a lot of line of sight blockers I have dragged slow movement killers around the map twice before they got a chase.
The only problem with making chase mechanics more lenient is killers might be really strong with Bloodlust going around so maybe it needs some tweaking.
-
Nothing just funny to give a thumbs up to your fellow survivor that got Karma'd from Blood warden and he deserves it.

You're not supposed to succeed immediately when you are learning something.
This pretty much. Admittedly MMR is screwed but when I was first starting out on DBD I was asking for tips on how to play Survivor or Killer then watching Videos on how to run tiles as a killer lmao. I was also getting stacked teams back then but it's to be expected when you're joining a Game with a dedicated fan base and limited player count.
-
Brutal is good though in limiting where a Survivor I can go. That decreases a lot of distance. If game speed wasn't so stupidly fast I would be running it on my low tier killers. That's the game's balance in a nutshell there's a lot of good perks but you're basically shooting your own foot if you don't have any slow downs and that severely limits builds.
If anything it sounds like actual game's mechanics needs to be fixed instead and perk meta would naturally change.

I spent a lot of time, money and effort into this game and the characters but these bans are making me hate the game. I'm starting to see some of the "bad side" everybody's always talking about now.
All that money and effort could have been spent on getting yourself better internet lol

That is the most pathetic example I have ever seen in my life. Now show me an example of a proper 180 around a corner. Or hell, show me a proper instant 90+ shoulder flick at the angle Lilith Omen does at 46-49 seconds in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhaBFiXDQfg
Because if you pause it frame by frame the motion is literally within single digit frames, which is extremely important against people with optimal movement. If you pause the clip that you showed frame by frame, the motion is completely different. In fact, even calling it a 90 degree angle is super generous, as you can see the little bit of pre-turning necessary to hit that hit.
Blight on controller and Blight on MnK are completely different in their maximum capabilities. I have no doubt that there are good Blight mains on controller, but I'm betting they rely more on pure bump logic & map pressure tactics than actual mechanics.
E: She's completely out of his FoV (with Shadowborn, mind) when he instantly snaps to her position. #########'s crazy. Controller cannot do that.
Bro thats ######### wild.

I literally have not seen this argument and if I did I never noticed since it's not prominent enough. Where did you pull this argument from? End game chat? lol.

Tombstone Piece is pretty damn busted for not really having a downside
Sure if you ignore the the amount you need to use it or you play around the fact that Myers has to get real close to you to even do it. Or there's lockers but whatever.

Well yes but everybody that has played the game for a good amount of time knows that they will never nerf swf that's where all there money comes from so the only realistic option is trapper buffs
Eh I disagree. I think Trapper is fine for anybody else buffing him would screw over Randoms hard and most players aren't actually on a 4 man Team or a 4 man navy seal. The only buff I would agree with on top of my head is probably making his trap harder to see because it's so visible and even more so with Filters on.

Yea but vs swf he struggles hard vs a decent swf it's very rare anybody steps on a single trap thus making you play pretty much powerless
Sounds like a SWF problem and not the killer itself.
-
Too many buffs that you might as well not bring any add ons. Trapper is fine now the only thing that hurts him a lot is SWF.
-
Been using it on Plague really great.
-
Either boons can only be used once or you reward the killer for investing his time and distance to interact with a boon. Ressurects a hex that can't be cleansed or blessed for 30 seconds if you snuff a boon. Now survivors can get punished for blindly using this perk without any repercussion repeatedly maybe you actually have to think about where to put it for once.
-
I get that inexperienced players can get to Top MMR in a short time because of how bonkers it is but why are we pretending as if the sweat loadouts or gen rushers are suddenly new? This has existed for a long long time. To me they should fix the core mechanics of the game instead.
-
It's been very varied so far so it's hard to say. Lots of Nemesis I guess.
-
You get punished for dropping chases and you get punished for committing to chases. You probably should just go play Survivor.

I think I just solved this mystery lmfao...
Do survivors have a separate grade from killers? Cuz if so that explains it. I was doing survivor tome challenges up til yesterday. That's what was the copper color.

Oppression was the literal first thing that came to mind when I read the thread title. It's cooldown is maybe triple the length is should be.
Surge is another one, but it needs it's cooldown...halved maybe?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2654912#Comment_2654912
I'm pretty sure Surge doesn't trigger off her red puke :).
I know. Her M1 game is still strong.
-
1) Cool idea but when was the last time you actually had enough time to smack a gate and come back to the survivor you should be securing? It should naturally regress imo.
2) If they want boons to come back repeatedly make it so that snuffing it brings back your hex
3) Yes this should have been a thing gen tap is stupid and undoes the killer investing his time kicking a generator in a split second
4) I don't think they should increase medkit self healing time unless you have perks to do increase it but put a cap on healing speed.
5) Yes
-
Then go use doctor with his strongest add ons. Keep everyone on tier 3
-
Press Continue and queue up into the next match? Bro close your eyes don't read it lol
-
Removing the cooldown on Surge would probably make my dream build on Plague plus scourge hook on the new killer.
-
Game was survivor sided from the start lol

@SunsetSherbet said:
I doubt that. I think a more likely outcome is forcing/bribing people to play killer in some way. Incentives, like they talked before, are likely. They'll just start offering big rewards for anyone willing to put up with it.
Like what? I don't think they'd ever gave any reward for putting up with anything aside from Legacy I guess.
-
I am actually considering running NWO on Plague. I only need two perks for the entire game and it's Corrupt and Thana. I'm thinking of focusing the last half of my build to just finish the job. I believe that's the mentality on people running this perk, If you did well before the EGC then NWO just helps you snag one or two more kill and if there's like two survivors left that's devastating.

The point was that totems spawn near gens...
What happens after that? You do a totem again and again?

Tbf how many times do survivors spawn in, do a gen, then notice a totem right next to them and bam hex gone in 25 seconds.
Or you could just cleanse that hex in 14 seconds and do the generator instead.... I don't know where people get the idea that you should bless a hex every time. There's five totem in the map lmao.
-
Gives me a headache but I don't think it would bring back the horror vibes from the first time you played DBD. You're just too used to how the game works now. Might be fun for another mode and probably eliminates the problem with widescreen.
-
I noticed that MMR stops working when there's not enough of your expected MMR and just throws any available players at you so that could be it and there's like 24k players currently playing and that's half of their average.
-
NOED is fine.

It was a full premade: All 4 names were the names of killers from the game.
I can usually tell it's going to be a nightmare when it's a 'themed' SWF at the MMR of one of my weaker killers, as it's usually a group of smurfs out to ruin people's day.
Must have no life outside the game. I can't imagine wasting 45 minutes on a match when you could have played more with your spare time.

It’s like these survivors are hiding like their lives depend on it.
Not really they're fine in real life.
-
Those two are probably not even friends and just randoms stubborn enough not to hand the hatch with the other lol.
-
Because they are. Survivors making the killer an attraction has been a weird culture thing for years in the community. YouTube videos displaying that. You can go queue up as a Trapper and most likely get treated with no respect and only starts seeing you as an actual threat if you're in a good place in the match or you're using S tier killers and you're good at it.
-
If I got confirmation that you touched the objectives Sorry boy but you're going down.
-
Player Solo Q almost my entire dbd experience and I hate hand holding. Either do bones or survivors just go look for NOED when someone gets hit.
