You don't have a point. You're all over the place. Continue using Hope and let others use something else without belittling people and acting like a know-it-all. You can have the last word. You're the type that needs it for self validation.
Come back when you have rebuttals and stop cluttering my thread on an important issue. thanks.

Thats kind of my point you'll almost never get close to 2 minutes of value and it only activates when the gates are powered alot of other perks would get way more value way more often over hope.
Seems like a time problem and not the haste itself?
Which is the point.

Report it to the bug section, as much as Myers needs help exploits are not the way haha
Already did they don't care. I also reported it to Otzdarva himself to get it known from any of bhvr's team. He said it's reported and I don't need to worry.
This is prior to the new patch dropping so this bug is still available and seems like there's no urgency to fix it at all since this bug is still pretty unknown. They only move when lots of people know about this like infinite mending legion where they immediately disabled his addons.

I have to agree with the other guy. I don't think that only 7% haste at end game is worth a perk slot when you can get more value out of other perks the whole match.
This is excluding a build with hope synergy of course.
7% is huge and is absolutely worth the perk slot, You can make pseudo infinites with this. Problem is 2 minutes is short and is situational. Killer needs to be on you as soon as all five generators are done.

Yes you can't. Confirmed and tested.

The rebuttal is I don't think it's worth taking up a slot. How are you constantly missing this?
And I disagreed that haste speed isn't a joke. How are you missing this this? Any more speed addition just to warrant a perk slot is flat out breaking the chase dynamic.

That's not true at all. If you're going to tell the story then tell the truth. I said I thought, and many others, that Hope isn't worth running because the haste add is too low and they're are better perks. Why lie to make yourself look better? That's sad... But considering how you act, I'm not surprised.
You said hope speed is a joke a.k.a slow. How am I lying?
You said this. Lmfao
I disagree it's not a joke and people who says otherwise have no idea how the game works. You have yet to make any rebuttals as to why and again just opted to scoffing at me instead of supporting your argument.

It's not that i don't know how to read, it's just that i didn't understand what you were trying to say, stalking thru do hook? wdym by that? because last time i played him he couldn't do it
He stalks to go inside a hook because there is no collision when stalking, preventing survivors from unhooking because the killer is directly inside the survivor's hook.
Admittedly I should have worded the topic better but eh. I hope that clarifies it.

Fill me in, what happened?
He said hope's 7% movement speed was slow. I said it was pretty fast and most people don't know how the game works and disregarded that 7% increased in movement speed is HUGE in gaining distance. Imagine that speed against a 110 ms killer and that's almost half a normal killer's ms
Instead of making any rebuttals and supporting his argument he instead opted to just scoffing at me and ended the conversation there.
Few days later he's here making post game chat level salt on a Thread addressing a problematic exploit.

why you think facecamping is exploit?
hooks can't hide survivors its not that fat
Because this is TRUE face camping. This is not any regular face camping.
I don't have problems with face camping Killers got to do what killers got to do.
Myers can go inside the hook preventing survivors from unhooking. It's an exploit.
If you think any killer should be close to that hook because no.

Nah. Just thought it was funny and a bit ironic.
Ironic about what? Pointing out an exploit they should be fixing? That has existed for quite a while now even before this patch?
If anything just proved that I was right in our previous interaction. Most people don't know how the game works :^)

You know so much about the game though, remember? More than me. How are you getting camped to death? You're so good.
Because it's an exploit people are doing? Can't be unhooked by other survivors.
Pretty funny that you're so salty about a previous interaction that you went ahead and brought this up haha. That's some post game chat salt level didn't expect it to see in the forum.

Yes I really should and I will thank them for every patch that is a success because despite of the negative feedback that usually goes to them, I am well aware of how much they try to actually make every single patch work and help the game grow, while making sure the playerbase is enjoying.
Just because I want to have a positive mindset, for a game that I love, for some developers that I know for over 5 years including all their streams and even personal some on Twitch... there is no reason for me to be negative and not support them for helping the game in any way that is possible and the game itself for providing me an awesome 5 years of enjoynment.
Feel free to disagree, but I will thank and support how I can... just because I love this game and the heart that was put into it since 2016.
Great for your optimism.
I lost it a long time ago.

I think we as a community should appreciate them trying their best to deliver good content to us, knowing the huge scale of this game.
If we can only be positive and wish that all of the upcoming updates will be the same or just better :)
You really shouldn't. Game still has a lot of problems that has existed for years now and still in the game. Thanking them on their first year or two sure but five years later and still the same problems? And no sign of it ever getting fixed? Game breaking bugs still in the game despite having known it for quite a while now? Yeah no lmao.
-
Imagine thanking the developers for putting out content that is playable and stable. Just goes to show the standard for BHVR really.

Oh wait this bug is still in the game. Gj bhvr
-
Imagine getting hit validation from Plague's vomit because that's what happens and it's frustrating AF.
-
Glad to see that they haven't learn from their map problems. Map is still horribly big and is a pain on M1 killers.
-
I have a lot of Survivors cleansing dulls. It still haven't ring yet that Pentimento is a thing now also you could try running Plaything.
Should be able to catch them off guard if they try to bless it instead just take notes of their locations and your blind hex.
-
I'll be real here.
I don't want to play her with incomplete perks in my MMR for some reason Survivors are just sweating it hard. So I'm grinding her Blood web at the moment maybe until I at least get Barbecue to farm. That and I just find her power boring if I really have fun with it I would be playing her regardless if my loadout is crap.
-
I always recommend not to cleanse Totem anyway. It's counter productive to cleanse a totem and maybe spawn the NOED on a totem location you don't know about. Keep tabs in your head and come back when NOED comes into play

I like the very rare one since it hides her face I have a problem with.
-
Kinda funny since Nurse actually did get buff with the 3 blinks add ons. But yes by their logic she needs more buff
-
I think the only negative I could think of about Plaything is that you actually have to down the survivor and hook him THEN wait for him to cleanse the hex. That's gonna take some time and within that time 3 generators could pop since you know early game is non existent. Finally your regression is on full effect but you're juggling 1-3 generators at this point.
You're gonna dedicate the rest of your perk slot to get the ball rolling though. Maybe corrupt just to control the pace for a bit.
Or you can just make Forever Freddy on every killer by stacking regression. Might be fun.
-
I lowkey want a casual mode where everyone including the killer has open mic. Would be pretty funny to be honest.

I'm going for a more 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' Plaything+Retribution+Penti build.
I'm going for Thana, Dying Light, Plaything and Pentimento on Plague.
Might experiment first without plaything though.
-
So the repair speed regression is first token?
If that's true then Forever Freddy on every killer might not be a dream after all :^)
-
@dugman said:
I think it should take a 1-2 second action to officially start repairing a generator and stop its regression. Seeing survivors literally instantly tap a generator with their index finger mid-chase and the regression magically stops just looks really really silly. I think all you need is a short action to start repairs to make it a bit more realistic without significantly changing game balance. You could even, once that action is taken, apply that 1-2 second amount of time to the progress bar immediately to avoid unintentionally making gens take noticeably longer to complete on average. (It would still be a very minor buff for the killer in some scenarios, such as when you are chasing someone around a small loop that has a regressing generator next to it, but that’s about it.)
I made a topic about gen tapping being very obnoxious and people have suggested that yeah there should be a prerequisite like 1-2 second to disable regression and there should be like a 8% regression on kicking a generator. They might need to decrease the regression on Pop so it'll be more in line with that buff but that would be fine.

@GannTM said:
They need to do something about spawns and maps.
I said this like a year ago once but they really should start giving Shroud of binding as an offering to killer and make it Yellow rarity. It's an outdated offering since a Killer wants Survivors spawning together. But instead they get an offering that spawns survivors separately instead which is the direct opposite of what you want.
Maps do need fixing.
-
@lovemeplz said:
The issue of holding w at least in my case is the fact that it take too long for a chase to innitiate therefore making bloodlust useless.
This pretty much. Playing both sides made me realize how easy it is to prevent a chase mechanic from starting. As long as you can prevent that from starting you can pretty much drag this killer across the whole map. Then there's problematic maps like Haddonfield where there's a ton of line of sight blockers that just negates chase mechanics all together.
Playing as a killer it's frustrating chasing a Survivor directly in front of you but chase won't start until you actually get into a certain distance. So either they somehow make chase initiate faster or they make maps smaller.
-
That's about it
-
Maps like Ironworks of misery where there's a guaranteed totem spawn above just really hurts you.

Yes and I'm sure you know how the game works. It's very situational and not enough of a boost to take up a slot. Let's agree to disagree.
More than you.

Well, no. I don't drop pallets left and right. It's just not a significant enough increase to bother running it. You may thing it's alot but you're in the minority.
Yeah because majority of the players in the game doesn't know how the game works lmao.
The speed is significant, Time is arguably the problem. Two minutes is a short but that just has something to do with the perk being situational. You want the killer on you when the last generator pop to get full value out of it. If you can't get that situational people ask for longer time on hope so they can get said situation.
-

7% haste is a joke. It's not even worth running and that's tier 3 Hope.
7% haste is A LOT of movement speed. You people don't realize this probably has no idea how to manage distance and just dropping pallets left and right.
-
I'm just looking to any changes they made on the patch. Not really that excited for the killer or survivor. Maybe I'll play around with the killer perk with some builds I want to try but I'm not expecting anything great.
-
I'll be the first one to say as someone who plays a lot of Survivor that dead hard is broken AF when you know how to use it. It should be reworked but I don't want to because it's fun to use op stuff.
Kinda like pre reworked balanced landing.
-
4 Vigils.
4 Over come and one circle of healing.
Then find an M1 killer and have fun.

What a blast.
Baby survivors and killers left and right as well as the cheaters.

They mean hiding the notification that you're Exposed after the first person gets hit with 3-stack Devour, not hiding the totem itself.
Anything with an M2
-
No killer can hide hex. They're in plain sight lmao. Trapper can delay but that's about it. You have to commit at some point and any survivor can just take advantage of that. Playing hex is you praying to the Entity to give you decent totem spots.

I mean, how often do those tbags happen in a safe location? As in truly safe. You can easily say that tbagging or clicking anywhere during the match is meant as a distraction. You could literally say that nodding or mass slugging would be toxic too in that regard.
I have honestly see more killers claim survivors to be entitled, when all they wanted to do was rescue their teammate. Bodyblocking the killer so their teammate gets to live isnt toxic, even if it's rude from the killer perspective, since they might need someone dead at that point, it's not like survivor want you to get the kill. It's sweaty at best, but sweaty isnt toxic.
I'd consider someone to be toxic when the whole team clearly outmatches the killer, or when the killer clearly outmatches the survivors and still plays sweaty.
It's similar to tunneling, sometimes you just need to tunnel to get back some pressure.
The only thing I could consider toxic in this game, is slugging for no other reason than just to slug(in example, when hooking a survivor is equally beneficial to the situation, but you just slug because you play blight with alchemist ring and infectious for example).
That is part the fault of the devs to design slugging without any usable mechanics. I'd honestly would even love it if slugged survivors could still do gens and open gates, but it would take them forever just to reach the next gen or the gate(they move at 0.7 meters per second, if they can do all gens while being slugged, that would be the fault of the killer). It would really punish slugging in a 2v1 scenario, and it really incentivises killers to hook whenever it's favourable, while it barely gives survivors any pressure at all and still keeps a ton of pressure to keep survivors slugged.
What do you mean safe location? I don't think slugging is toxic not at all. Far from it, Nodding can be toxic. There's really no reason to do it. Slugging is just trying to delay the game and the most optimal way to apply pressure there's nothing inherently bad about it unless you're slugging people to die on the ground then yeah that is toxic but last time I've seen a Killer made everyone bleed out on the ground was over a year ago.
I don't main anything in this game. I have played both sides extensively with 2000+ hours with the game. I fully understand both side's struggles with the game in fact I probably played more survivor now at this point usually Solo Q and only recently tried SWF since I was bored playing alone for years. I have joined random groups on discord to test out the waters and it's been nothing but people calling Killers tunneling and camping when they're not. They've just done stupid saves that encourages the Killer to have no reason to go away. I genuinely have not heard anyone admit they were at fault it was always the killer's fault on one way or another. Don't even get me started on how happy they get when Killers mess up, It's disturbing. If you ever watched toxic streamers swf on Youtube that's basically the experience.
I don't consider a team of survivor outclassing the killer as Toxic or vice versa. Being good at the game isn't toxic. When they rub it in at the exit gates Tbagging or instead of leaving at the exit gates they stay for unnecessary amount of times just waiting to rub it in your face that they escape. You don't have pure intentions at that point, You just want to get a rise out of the killer and that's toxic. Insulting the opposite side whether you're killer or survivor on post game chat is toxic. Say your GGs then go into the next match.

Few days ago I played like over 10 matches as Trapper, every single match survivors able to tell where my traps were all the time, and constantly disarm them. Eventhough I used Tar bottle all matches (I have over 100 of those).
No match had 3-4k. All were 0-1k. 2k was a rare. Few matches were full Endgame, or full M1 relate perks, or full pallet counter perks ect. None of them worked.
Never feel like a true M1 Killer like that day. Feel like to give up Trapper.
I feel you. Usually in that type of matches save the best for last is the one practically saving my hide. Also playing the most unfair way I could like if I got one survivor near basement I'm not letting that go. When the attention is all focused on basement and getting their friends out back and forth some of my traps I've been setting up that hasn't been disarmed yet comes in clutch usually by the end. If not then I just go back to playing Blight to release stress.
-
Trapper is still pretty fun as long as no one is blasting out your traps position to the entire team
-
I think Nemesis base kit is perfectly fine. What's garbage about him is how inconsistent his zombies are and Survivor literally passing by zombies and their attacks are so slow that they don't hit. I had a Zombie stuck on the tractor with a window, Some survivor passed by that zombie unscathed and still vaulted the window it was dumb AF.
This tractor
Fix zombies and he'll be a genuine threat that I don't mind giving away 8 free hits with his tentacles.

What I'm saying is your get more value from a new survivor with self care than you would without the survivor having self care. That survivor will not do anything until he is healed. At least a self care survivor is going to attempt to do something after he heals.
When I teach people to play DBD, I tell them to get self care right off the bat and I tell them to not do gens until someone else is in a chase (I tell them to hide close to a gen). That way I can take chases and don't have to worry about a newbie being insta hooked after getting them off the hook. I tried teaching them without self care and it was a nightmare
I also tell them to run straight when they are about to be hit.
After I teach them the basics, I can teach the the intricacies later.
Just gen rushed a killer who was downing Survivors relatively quick with randoms. How did we win? Just by holding M1. Killer can't physically chase 4 survivors on the map at once that he was basically getting one gen pop per hook until at the very last gen that he tried to hold hostage but still got out with everyone intact. No need for crappy self care. Run Kindred and hold M1 then just use BT if your baby survivors are getting tunneled off the hook.
