Gen went into a complete halt as soon as pentimento came into play Lol.
I am conflicted on Plaything. The down side is that you actually have to down the survivor AND THEN wait for him to cleanse a totem. That could mean several generators having progress. Some survivors just doesn't care to find the totem and start pumping generator regardless. So pentimento on M1 killer is high risk high reward and I had more success running Ruin instead. It is pretty strong on Mobility characters though where you can give constant pressure to the survivor plaything is doable

I haven't seen a single killer playing well for weeks now beside some nurses.
All killers that win at my MMR are winning because they camped/tunneled and other survivors are trying to help. When they play fair, they never win, they barely have 1 kill.
In chases they are terrible, completely braindead in common jungle gyms, their mindgame are phoned most of the time... and they barely catch me, they often change target...
The skill level is insanely low atm.
I seen some Blights with God flicks beside some God Nurses. Maybe some camping killers that got rewarded a 3-4k because randoms are way too altruistic for their own good and generator stopped progressing lol.

Typical community overreaction. Bhvr says "nerf" and everybody jumps a non-sinking ship.
Spirit is still very much s-tier. She's hilarious to play with a machine gun build.
Also, it might be a placebo, but I think they shadow buffed the sound of survivors' footstep in phase.
But it's especially bad in this one. Even after the Nurse nerf. You can still see God nurses here and there on a lucky day. But the pick rate on Spirit is noticeably low at least from my experience and haven't seen a Good spirit after the nerf. Bizarre really.

Box usually spawn from the furthest place from all players, assume it take just 20sec to get to the box, it would take likely 50sec for 1 player to get there, solve, go back to Gen. If a second survivor come to the box too, even if they see the first survivor coming for the box half a way (10sec traveling), the second survivor still waste 20sec.
Talk about low skill, yes its up to the looping ability. But those 20sec waste for each time a box spawn, it makes a huge difference between Solo & Swf in term of info: who gets the box.
If you're the first one getting the box. You should keep doing the same thing afterwards. Which I do. It keeps everything consistent and everyone efficient since they just assume it's already taken care of.Plus 1 v 1 with Pinhead is fun anyway just keep him away from objectives getting worked on. If the killer doesn't want to commit I'll be just removing his chain hunt forever.

Yes, everyone should be better, including soloq, swf, and killers?
Hopefully you also think that killers who go against 4men sweaty swf with boons, dead hard, ds etc and get a 0k also need to just get better.
I also started playing when legion first dropped and solo q is still not great.
Nah Game is inherently unbalanced. Not that SWF are the problem. You can do the same thing on solo Q. Just do generators lmao. I stopped running DS recently very overrated and most of the time you don't get to use it anyway. You only need BT and Dead hard as a solo if you're actually skilled.

I run those perks and saying solo = is just being ignorant. You claim you've played solo "for years" but i really doubt you've even been playing the game at all for years with that kind of mentality.
I started when Legion first dropped. I got screwed by randoms all the time but I don't like hand holding people out of their inexperience with the game more. Everyone should be better and Solo Q isn't an excuse.

Solo Q doesn't mean they are low skilled. They just dont have voice chat and information to know who is going for the box and who isnt.
They are low skilled. You don't need voice communications in this game to do well but they obviously help of course . This coming from someone who played Solo Q for years and only played 4 man SWF recently out of boredom. Go run Kindred or Bond if you're not confident with your game and map sense plain and simple.

Yes low skilled survivors.

Didnt people say number of kill doesnt mean Killer is skilled, nor survivor with escape rate? I noticed when playing both side that as Killer, I can get unbeatable team, or a team that I can easily win with M1; and as Survivor, the more time I die, the more chance I die because teammates started to become dont know what they're doing.
Perhaps survivors' escape rate defines how skill they are.
But today, I really think MMR isnt ideal for Killer side, both low & high MMR. I didnt have a normal match as Killer for a while now.
Unless we got actual numbers to tell your MMR then people are just making assumptions on what your MMR actually is. I think we dealt with SBMM long enough to notice that the experience for each person is all over the place anyway. Also to be fair you're using trapper who is just Machete man and probably the most known killer for survivors that they can counter just fine. Go use any other killer and maybe you'll have some success in presumably high mmr.
-
@C3Tooth said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2676539#Comment_2676539
Its still feel weird to me. If players gain mmr just by escaping, it should be there are many survivors who doesnt know what to do get mmr up. Example I can escape by just doing Gen and someone else loops Killer for 10mins long, means I have mmr up, but Im likely to die in later match. How can I play Trapper (lets say my Trapper is high mmr) and everyone is great?
You can only go so far with that mindset though. You seem to think Baby survivors get to high rank all time just by pumping generators and someone takes the heat. You dont. Unless you think that they won't face any competent killers that knows when to drop a chase and then go for weaker links instead.
-
Bro it's kind of funny how some Players I know who think they are good at the game (not really just pallet hold w) is having a mental breakdown over this killer. It was just gold reading their complaints on discord some even contemplated taking a break from DBD lmao.
-
I mean isn't that obvious hence people hating the fact that the game is constantly balanced around low skilled survivors? Pinhead got screwed the most with him "Overperforming". *Edit* Now I'm kind of pissed off remembering the butchering Wraith got
-
James Sunderland main because Silent hill 2 was my favorite back in the day
-
Just talk about what's going on in our lives or what's interesting lately. Usually having talks like that just means we're focused on doing generators and having conversations which is bad for the killers and mostly ends with a three gen pop on first chase.
-
Still stupid that Coup de grace is based on tokens.
-
@ColonGlock said:
This game has been out a long time so if you are just starting out it will be rough sometimes. Lucky for you there are a lot of YouTube guides out there now and the DBD wiki is extremely helpful for diving into the details. Just remember it is a mind game.
To be fair the game is free in Epic games and I don't know how many players they made off from that but it's weird that they're not getting new players. Otherwise I agree with this argument normally. You're getting into a 5+ year old game with a dedicated stable player base.

there isnt, might be a visual bug or just hacks. Definitely my first time seeing it, cause usually hackers do something stupid like straight on teleport and speed hack
Yeah visual bug is my first thought too since the Plague didn't get any kill afterwards and a Killer's power remaining on the map isn't anything new, Clown had his smoke stay permanently on maps like The Game but you know I had two subtle hackers previously in one day so I am skeptical regardless.

Regarding the Plague. Watch the add-ons. Getting Corrupt Intervention and 2 add-on for object infection time is a good tactics. You just bleeeeeee on 4 gens and survivors have very limited options. Wait 2 minutes or get infected.
Base object infection duration is 40 seconds. Limestone Seal +20 sec, Haematite Seal +30 sec. So one bleeee sweep and gens stay infected almost for all Corrupt Intervention duration.
Guess, infected survivors can... reinfect the get.
Thing is she puked on the generator when on early game and this infection lasted until mid game. If the generator was infected I would have saw the green puke on it.
Here's a picture of me getting infected from this gen. I don't know if there's an add on that hides infection on an object.
-
The frightening thing is it's legitimately possible. They're pretty much exploring every mechanic in the game and adding a boon type to it. That's how much they ran out of ideas for perks and every Survivor would spam map offerings with problematic totem locations. Who would have thought that a Killer's totem to combat four people in the match is going to be used against them. I would have said you were crazy if you told me this two years ago.
-
First two match of the day was subtle cheaters. Had a trickster only increasing movement speed when he's throwing knives out, He's getting shots in that would never make sense because of Distance yet he's catching up even without the shoes add on. Also stopped bothering hiding his wall hacks by the end, Probably thought no one was spectating him anymore but I was.
Had a pyramid head that was getting Bloodlust pretty fast or increasing his movement speed. He's catching up faster than any killer I faced and I've been running that same situations for years. The way he was catching up was too fast.
Also had a Plague match sometime later where her puke stayed on the generator permanently despite not puking on it anymore. It could be a visual bug or just a bug by itself though
-
Most survivors never touched killer or haven't reached High MMR to understand their pain. And the we vs him attitude is out in full display if you join random SWF discord lobbies. It's just a massive circle jerk on hating the killer and the amount of joy they get from bullying the killer is bizzare. If you'd ever watch any Toxic streamer swf on Youtube it's basically that experience and it's surreal being in that kind of lobby first hand
The code of conduct thing is very weird too. You'd get looked down on playing a certain way, a certain killer, certain perks , etc even by your fellow Killer mates and I'd never had anything similar playing as a Survivor.
-
Ah so that's why Killers got a Hook that you block on one side to balance things out with this infinite. Wow devs very cool.
-
Map size does have contributions on the problem but again you're not really stopping 4 others players across the map from doing generators separately. If Survivors are gen happy and knows at least basic looping then you're screwed. There's a difference between matches who have Survivors that are just messing around finding chests, dulls, following the killer for saves, trying to out do each other for hook saves, etc and a match with Survivors who are just overall efficient. Pump one gen each as soon as the match starts.
I made a topic on why I'm starting to think there should be requirements before Survivors can start doing generators.
-
Damn people have a problem over this when Myers can do this on every hook lol
-
I mean you don't really need to have Meta perks to do generators. Generator is indeed broken though. There's a stark difference when Survivor just Hold M1 as soon as the game starts and when survivors are messing around looking for chests, dulls, following the killer around doing flash light saves, etc.
You're basically screwed if Survivors are gen happy.
-
Stealth are strong in this game actually. I hate facing guys who are both good loopers and know when to actually apply stealth. You just lose so much pressure if you can't get into a chase immediately.
-
double huh?
-
When the survivor doesn't give you free hits
-
I tried running the add on where chains more spawn whenever it breaks on a obstacle and it's still pretty underwhelming lol.

Are the hooks not random? Did you see this hook in more than one match?
I did see it three times but I'm not specifically looking for the hook so there are matches where It probably didn't spawn.
Somebody placed a bug report on it on the sub section
-
Pretty garbage for most killers. Too big if you don't have Mobility and seems like totems are easier to see and they're not even bothering to hide it at this point. Strong main building but the only saving grace there is that there seems to be a hook there where you can just body block one side until the survivors dies lol
-
Best information perks out there are free like Kindred or Bond.

I see this crap at peak more - as there are more survivors queued at high MMR, more dodges and just not enough killers to go around.
Actually I hard disagree about this. A good chunk of my win streaks as a Killer are at day time. Night time is basically where Navy seals are awake.
*Edit
Which isn't surprising since a lot of my Friends do in fact play at Night after coming back from work lol

@StarLost said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/297751/is-smurfing-with-a-low-mmr-friend-back-again
One of the devs responded in my MMR thread yesterday and explained this.
Basically what happens is that a super high MMR party waits for a long time in queue, people dodge them and eventually it'll just throw them essentially the next killer around as a sort of snack.
There are also definitely SWFs that smurf their ratings down (I'm sure everyone has encountered the groups that immediately run to you and suicide on hook).
It...sucks, especially as these SWFs tend to be the absolute most abusive types. I literally just had one who 99% the final gen and refused to end, instead wanting to show off their bodyblocking/sabo skills and how strong medkits+COH are for 30 soul-crushing minutes until I finally gave up and AFKed, after which they informed me that they were reporting me for 'non-participation'.
I'd love to know how many new killers run into this crap and just never return to the game.
I mean this is a match recorded on peak hours where the Survivor queues are instant at daytime.... I played alone afterwards and the difference in killers are night and day. I was actually thinking that Ruin and Undying is steadily getting less usage but it turns out people still use it all the time when I'm alone.
I do get that matchmaking just throws around anyone if the queues are long though it's something I theorized about and I guess that's confirmed now.
-
I really don't see the difference seems like the same to me beside No way out though I did see some killers use it but they're very little.

-
The thing about Petimento is you actually have to down the survivor first then hook them AND THEN wait for them to cleanse a totem.
That could potentially means 3 gen pops on your first chase. It's just really down to hoping your first chase ends in 20 seconds. I guess you could mitigate the gen rush with corrupt intervention but still the synergy is really strong against S tier killers though.

I'd love to see you never get baited into a break out stun.
2 2man groups. That's enough. That's just as bad as a 4man. More than enough coordination needed. You can go through what I say with a fine tooth comb all you want and point out miswording if I had said 4man or 2man is irrelevant.
You must just be a God killer then. Never get baited into stun plays from teams. Well good for you. The majority of us killers don't have the luxury of knowing all the time which locker the swf friend hides In during a chase.
Lol.
I never once stated I was the best killer. I'm not bad... but I make mistakes like everyone else. Especially against teams of sweat bully groups. It's difficult going against squads. They always outperform you so long pallets are around to do so.
It's not irrelevant because you're playing with two separate groups that has no information with each other but you keep implying they're all friends which they aren't but you don't like that being called out because it paints your narrative easier right?
Nope not a God but I do acknowledge my faults if I got baited into a stun play. You can actually it's called learning locker placement. Survivor pathing is weird you can guess where the head on is coming from.
Oh so you make mistakes but apparently can't admit that maybe you played that match bad? It's TWO MAN SF group's fault lmao.
Not a squad if it's two man friends by the way.

I'm not doing that. Anyone who plays killer understands your not supposed to win against a 4man swf. You can't unless you play nurse, blight, or they make a mistake.
I was playing the new killer who gets wrecked against teams let alone anyone who knows how to leave a loop the second a bird deploys.
I'm not a bad killer. I'm not the best. But I'm not bad. You will lose every time you go against a 4man meta running free heal for all boons, purple add ons and friend coordination.
That's supposed to happen. That's how it's designed. Any long time playing youtuber says the same thing. Look at trutalent. Hands down one of the best level headed calm killers out there. He gets wrecked against 4mans most of the time. He gets 1k maybe 2k if he sweats hard on those.
He laughs at it. Bc it's silly. The survivors are so strong these days they can bully. Bc they know they can. And they do.
Killer is weak. Nobody is afraid of them anymore.
Facts.
So when you pick up a new killer, it just makes it that much more miserable learning bc they bully even harder bc they smell you're new with it.
That's why I'm always hesitant to pick up anything new in this game. You get bullied for it.
Yes, you're not doing that because it's easy to blame a known issue in the game despite having red flags in your entire post that shows how you're lacking in fundamentals. It's not a new killer problem. If you're getting head on several times in a match sorry but you fell for obvious baits.
4 Man?
I thought you were against a 2 man separate groups? Also what meta perks? I thought you were against break out which isn't meta and apparently Head on since you keep mentioning lockers. Looking at your post how did they go from two guys running break out/head on supposedly into all of them running 4 man meta perks? I like how you conveniently added the fact they were using strong equipment/add ons or boons just now when you didn't mention that on your initial post. Sound odd but whatever, Be sure to add every context next time.
I just don't buy your post all it's riddles of red flag of someone inexperienced with the game just putting blame on a convenient excuse the community like to use. Like I said. The game has problems but it's also important to know that maybe you played bad? Of course it's easier to put the entire blame on something everyone agrees to right?
Either put a video and let us critique what's the problem or don't because game is unbalanced definitely not because I played bad and kept getting chain blinded lol.
-

You're bothering me Myla. Basic fundamental understanding still won't save you from getting bullied Myla.
Bad Myla.
The bullying won't be that severe though or you might as well have won that game if they're messing around in that match.
Again I know the game has problems and it's a convenient excuse to use but this sounds like a You issue. Record a match here and let the forum here watch it. If the match was truly unsalvageable despite playing well then I'll apologize.

What does that even mean Myla? Chief. Boss. Padre.
You play a new killer and get bullied all match then. I'd rather learn her and not get multiple coordinated break out stunned, chain blinded with insta blind flashlights, and teabagged all match trying. Just play the game, and leave. The taunting and riding out the end game timer to the very last second to teabag isn't necessary.
Is that okay? Just checking with you chief.
I don't know why playing a new killer suddenly means my fundamentals as a Killer main is suddenly beginner level but okay lmao.

Some times survivor queue is quick? OK. Killer queue is always ALOT faster, the only moment that is a little bit slow is early in the morning and it´s NOTHING compared to the long survivor queues at night. Compare it.
So what I said? It's time of the day? Lmao.
Also survivor queue for me fine at night too like 3-5 minutes top. Anything close to midnight is obviously long and you should really be going to sleep.
-
The thumbs up will definitely not be abused by people spamming it because they can lol.
Toxicity will never be fixed in this game and that's goes to every game there is. You can't put punishment on someone for spamming their flashlights and pressing the crouch button repeatedly. Either press the continue button and don't read chat or report them if they did say something offensive like racial slurs or life threats.
Also the toxicity in this game is just childish. There's a lot of games with worse cesspool than this not that I'm saying any of this is makes it any better but I just disagree on anyone saying this is the most toxic community in a game there is lol. It's far from it.
-
Survivor queue is instant for me. It's just time of the day really. Night is when you should be playing KIller.

I heard this was already a thing years ago but was fixed. For some reason it resurfaced again which isn't anything new really with this game.

If you make it to long it will be used to hold the game hostage because of making those infinites. If anything maybe a second effect like seen the exit gates no limit or fast exit gate opening.
Again seems like the haste isn't the problem and something else which is the point. People pointing out the haste is the problem has no idea how the game works.
