  • I'll add you! :p I sent a friend request to Discord and Steam

    My name will be UsagiDoll

  • I think NOED adds an interesting twist to the game, so I kind of enjoy it in a way. Also adds one more hex totem, so that means more points if you cleanse it, they're kind of fun to find actually

  • A yellow mori as a killer's basekit is a no from me. I do agree that there should be less of them in the bloodwebs though

  • Hey, I'm up to play :p I'd say I'm pretty badass 🙃 Not really...

    My Discord is UsagiDoll#6683

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/236028/what-counts-as-winning-a-match

For your own sanity, to avoid getting tilted, I suggest you count every match a win, no matter the outcome. You always earn something and you always learn something. Set long term goals, so you are not tilted by any immediate setbacks. Does that make sense?

In general, you can set your personal win conditions to whatever you want. The DEV really don't set any particular win conditions, and oddly you can score a ton of points in games you die in simply by being productive. You can likewise get out alive and score little in the way of Emblem advancement and Blood Points. So, depending on what you are trying to do in a given match (Daily, Rift, BP, Emblems, Escape), there are lots of winning situations.

All that being said, Killers generally consider 0-1 Kills a loss, 2 Kills a draw, and 3+ Kills a win. Survivors are the inverse, i.e. 0-1 Escape a loss, 2 Escapes a draw, and 3+ Escapes a win. *It doesn't matter if your Survivor is dead or alive; as a team the win/draw/loss is generally considered by the overall team. This is how MOST people tend to see it, although as I said earlier, you can define things however you want them personally.

That's a good way to put it and a great explanation, that does make sense ^^

This is how I feel, though obviously I'll feel a bit better if I'm the one escapee than if it's someone else.

I don't know why this made me laugh 😂

  • I actually like the Trickster's chase music! It's different and terrifying

  • I'm so lucky in the past 3 years I have been playing this game, I've never come across one hacker 🙏

  • I played Identity V for about 2 months about a year ago and everyone played like a bunch of potatoes, I never lost against a killer 🤭

  • Funny enough, a Blight and he was rank 5 :)

They just don't see it coming I guess lol

  • Was very easy actually since you don't have to reset it while in a chase, I dropped it at the beginning, immediately reset it, hid behind it before the killer came, and then surprised them with it 😋

    Imagine Quentins face O.O

that would bring the horror aspect in this game up a few levels

Omg poor Quentin 😂 I don't know why that was so funny to me...

  • As I play both sides, I can see either side playing how they do, they just play to have fun. I think though, we should let people play however they want, as they paid for the game too. If you don't like how someone played one game, just move on to the next game. That's the best thing about this game imo is that you never know what will happen in the next match

Maybe they could be killer offerings that change 2 normal chests for Mimics and they would lock the survivor in place for 15 seconds and give a notification for the killer.

Pretty good idea! Would make the game more interesting for both survivor and killer

  • I 100% agree with that idea, but would they actually chase the survivors and could down them if they stayed within the range of the chest, or just bite them and go back to normal?

Currently there is no new Map until they reworked all of the older Realms. Currently, 4 realms are missing - Coldwind Farm, Red Forest, Haddonfield and Backwater Swamp.

    They addressed it here:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/231260/developer-update-march-2021

    THE REALM BEYOND

In the past, we’ve consistently shipped one or two graphically updated realms with each major release. We planned to continue this trend with another realm rework in this update, but unfortunately this next realm would not be ready in time for this Chapter. Rather than releasing what we have, we decided to postpone the next map update until it is ready. Our goal is to ensure that all graphical updates we release are up to our standards before we unleash them into the wild.

Work on the next graphical update is well underway, and you can look forward to seeing it in a future update.

I guess, we will get the reworks a little bit later, maybe in another Patch after the Chapter Release but before the Midchapter.

Ohh I guess I missed that announcement... thank you for posting that! It's good that they are currently making one :)

  • I don't think toxicity will ever be truly stopped in games, unless you harshly limit the gameplay, which would be terrible for the player base. It also depends on your definition of toxic, to some people it means "I got downed quickly and wasn't given another chance to escape", and to other people it means t-bagging, flashlight clicking, pointing, looping, etc. which can't really be stopped unless you just disable the mechanics completely. People will always find a way to irritate someone else.

  • What I wish I knew when I was a new survivor was when I messed up a skill check on healing my teammate, it alerts the killer to my position. I thought it was just for generators or rushed actions. I thought messing up the skill checks for healing someone just slowed down the healing process and the killer could hear the survivor scream if they were nearby. I didn't figure this out until about a year into playing!

  • I know some Huntresses are using Iridescent Heads now to complete Rift challenges quickly, so that could be a reason.

  • I bought the chapter with real money, I just had to have the exclusive shirt because I'm a sucker for cosmetics lol and I just want the reindeer onesie for Elodie, it's so cute... I have one similar to it irl <3

  • I only play killer if I have to (for the Rift or daily rituals) other than that, I have more fun playing survivor. I get stressed out playing killer sometimes lol however, with the recent latency issues, playing survivor is also literally a hit or miss doing anything involving a chase (vaulting windows, pallets, RUNNING... lol) this latency issue needs to be fixed ASAP because it is just ridiculous atm

My game crashed several times and today I was disconnected from the host from nowhere in the middle of the game, in total there were 6 or 7 bans almost q in sequence

Desculpe os meus maus conhecimentos linguísticos, mas talvez você mesmo possa enviar um bilhete para os devs e explicar a situação, talvez eles o possam ajudar...?

  • Dang, how many times have you disconnected to get 24 hours? If there way a way to reset your penalty time, I'm sure many people would use and abuse that system

  • Oof you're right, good thing I know now not to waste prestige points on them, I will see what Elodie looks like prestige 3, thank you for being the crash dummy and testing the waters for all of us lol

  • Note that there are indeed "known" issues so they already know about some and are working on fixing them, I bought the DLC so I could go ahead and level the characters. It's simple, if you want to buy it, go ahead... if not, whatever, wait until the bugs are fixed (and I want that cute reindeer skin for Elodie :p)

  • DCing intentionally (for non-serious reasons) is looked down upon because it's silly, childish, and a waste of time for not only yourself, but your teammates. Especially if the reason is because you are getting facecamped or tunneled, maybe you're one of those survivors who go clicky clicky with their flashlights constantly or t-bag and don't want to admit it. I just don't understand people who intentionally purchase an online "multiplayer" game and want the ability to DC (unpunished) every time a game doesn't go their way. Just end it early on the hook and at least get the blood points for doing what you've done so far, but it's crazy how people would rather quit in the middle of the match, get 0 blood points, AND a cooldown for joining another lobby

The Pale Man would be awesome!

would be cool to incorporate the fairy’s on the survivor side as part of his power...

edit: survivors can find fairy’s for protection against the pale mans power, but the downside could be that he can grab and eat those fairy’s to boost himself even more. Maybe I will think about a killer concept for this one

Yes, the poor fairies </3 I would totally love to see a killer concept for him

  • I think The Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth would be terrifying! His eyes could be included in a special ability that he would have to possibly brighten scratch marks, or some other interesting power

  • I have been experiencing the same thing, last week I went down 1 whole rank due to killers disconnecting from the game, I'm just glad I'm not worried about rank, as I know my skill level fluctuates significantly depending on who the killer is lol

  • What helped me a lot was by watching Monto on YouTube and he told his viewers "If you know how survivors move and you can predict their movements, you can quickly catch them". So this comes from a lot of experience playing survivor, but at least there are a few perks that can help with this, Bamboozle (to cut off powerful loops), Beast of Prey (to remove your red stain and terror radius), Tinkerer (to become Undetectable after a generator reaches a certain %, and it lights up!) Haunted Grounds maybe (if you want all survivors to become exposed just because) you may also want to use NOED if you want to really secure 1-2 kills after the exit gates are powered, ignore all of the bullying you will get from it post game chat. Lastly, Iron Maiden is a great perk to use (after survivors exit a locker, they yell and become exposed)

I am not sure if this helped at all but hopefully it gave you some new perk ideas, it all just takes practice :)

  • @HellDescent said:

They both are . Popularity means nothing if perk does not work with your playstyle

I was just asking for opinions and their reasoning

  • @HellDescent said:

You can't just say one is perk is better that the other when they don't even do similar things. One of them helps you avoid killer and perform certain actions quicker while the other doesn't even activate until endgame

I was asking which one was more popular among survivors

This literally just happened, leatherface complained we were hiding too well so when 2 gens popped after he found someone he tunneled everyone into the dirt, one person got out cause I got his attention in the end but he called it "the most annoying survivor strategy because he couldn't find us"

Exactly, I am not just gonna run up in your face as a survivor begging to be hooked, if you want to kill me, at least work for it

I understand you completely. I also get nervous and stressed about playing as Killer. In my opinion, its a bit more difficult playing as killer than survivor since you have a small visual perspective of the area and its hard to turn sometimes. I'm hoping the rumored single player mode will help us understand and train ourselves to be killers, its good practice even though the survivors will be bots and probably make potato mistakes.

I agree, hopefully you can even choose the difficulty level, as in, pro will loop you, do gens, throw pallets down, and use good perks, while beginner will run in straight lines, do gens, maybe try to loop lol I hope that rumor is true

  • I get stressed out easily when I know that other people could possibly be judging my gameplay, I hate looking stupid, even though they don't know who I am irl as a person. I'm just not confident in my ability to play killer and I've never really been too bothered to learn, survivor is just more fun imo

  • I have admittedly done this on accident, I was trying to take a hit for the person but we kept going the same way (we were both trying to get around each other) but I ended up accidentally body blocking them right at the exit gate, and I got chased out the gate while they got hooked to death! I felt so bad tbh 😓

A lot of team mates in solo are so bad, you may not even make it to late game sometimes. I would take spine chill.

It will help you stay alive farther into the game to squeeze more points out, even if the match is a loss. Adrenaline is useful; but it's far stronger when you coordinate it and you just can't do that solo.

Thank you for the advice :)

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Both are good, but they do very different things. What is the rest of your build? Is this for SWF or solo queue?

I am also using Iron Will, Fixated and Sprint Burst, I play solo

  • I figured if any killer didn't have a counter it would be Plague, unless you want to cleanse and give her more power
