Given that it can roll back hits that it should such as hitting the survivor in the back as they drop a pallet in front of themselves.
Its also been proven to have brought back a form of pallet vacuum too so yay...
Roll back is the wrong term. The hit never happened besides on your client. In the grand scheme of things the survivor stunded you thus you couldn't of hit the survivor. That includes survivors in front of a pallet.
If blood splatter and hit sounds waited for server side validation you would have no argument. You feel upset about stolen hits because your client says you hit, played a sound, and the server said it never happened.
But the consequence of waiting for server side validation is delayed feed back on hits. Which would make the game feel worse overall.

You are standing at the base of mountain known as grind.

congratulations. I have exactly 0 of those. because it's way too hard to get them
You can get at least 1. Claudette's face is practically given to you.
@GoodBoyKaru Think you're a victim of autocorrect.

Yeah it would. Thats why it will never happen.

Spirit is destroyed by bugs right now. Blight is destroyed by bugs to the point you have to learn all the bugged surfaces on the maps and how to move your camera to avoid phantom rushes (occurrences where you clearly hit the survivor buy the hit just doesn't count). All the killers are affected by the "hit validation tech" at pallets, that should be considered a bug. There is a place on Haddonfield where you can literally Dead Hard through a wall (!!!) and all the survivors are now aware of it and keep abusing it. Oh, and that infamous "Iron Will on the ground" bug that has lasted for 3+ years and is still in the game.
All the killers are affected by the "hit validation tech" at pallets, that should be considered a bug.
Its working as they intended it to. The only drawback is you will hear the hit and see blood splatter. But look at the alterative. If killers had to wait for the server to report verified hits you would be hearing the hit and seeing blood splatter shortly after the actual hit animation ends. Wouldn't that be more jarring?

Play Twins and have at it.

FPS games handle latency differently, but with DBD, it feels like The Killer gets extremely generous priority on nearly every hit. I get the impression that the devs are really afraid of implementing a stricter and fairer version of validation.
Dealing with The Huntress is another issue. Even when running straight, you will see her hatchet above you or the left or right, and it still strikes you. It seems like she's throwing cinder blocks at you rather than a narrow hatchet. Hatchers also feel like hitscan; it doesn't matter if you turn or move away it will hit you. The devs should call them homing hatchets because they might as well turn corners with the way they hit.
Hatchet hitboxes are ball shaped. So taking latency into account, a visible object being thrown at you can seem off when it hits.

Run

😱 Aaaaaahhhh Quentin!

Six feet under was hard because survivors kept DCing when place in the basement.
When I completed it I thanked the survivors for not DCing. That caused some confusion.
-
Never been shot behind a corner before I see.
https://youtu.be/6EwaW2iz4iAIt's a common thing in shooters. It's just you notice it more with close up interactions like in DBD.

it’d be nice if we at least had info on how they plan on changing keys.
Keys and moris are removed.
Bully the killer some and gain a key that only you can use. The killer is able to mori survivors that have a key.

Too soon

Soon™

Console survivors?
-
A streamer typed gg to me once and it showed up as ##
-
Bill: Unbreakabill
David: Dead Hard
Laurie: DS
Its a reasonable assumption to make.
-
Flip flop is a terrible perk. Killers won't slug you long enough to get any use.
-
Flip flop is a great perk. Killers don't expect the shorter wiggle time.
-
Really slowly. You would be close to bleeding out before it becomes significant. Not to mention your wiggle bar goes up 25% when the killer drops you.

Oh thanks that clears it up
To clarify, this is a recent change where addons are burn after each match. If you want to keep your addons run the perk Ace in the Hole.
-
To troll you
-
It should turn off if you down multiple survivors.
Like killers don't down multiple survivors now.
It should turn off if you hook another survivor.
Like killers only get one hooked survivor at a time.
Arguments to nerf DS are getting pretty sad.
-
Just getting survivors that know how to hold M1 and look around.
-
Bubba
-
Fixing bugs would please a lot of people though.
-
Did they stand in one spot continuing swinging?
-
Because anything the killer can do to diminish the survivor's chances of escaping must be criticized and shamed.
-
Imagine a jungle gym with two pallets.
Now, imagine two next to eachother.
The good old days.
-
Then we would have threads asking what if we had 7 gens instead of 6.

Yes they’re unlocked so they reach to 120fps max
Same here. Might be the cause.

Might be a PC only bug. I have it too. Is your FPS set higher than 60?

In a way, it is transparent but we would love to have the reason as to WHY Microsoft or Sony won't, personnaly, I do believe the Microsoft would be alright with Cross-Progression

I believe the blood+scream is unintended, so it'll hopefully be fixed in the new chapter update.
Its because the client spawns the blood+scream without waiting for the server. The alternative is a delay that will make legit hits feel off.
-
1 ) Same reason a bleed out survivor doesn't count as a sacrifice.
2 ) You can wait a bit and the hatch will close itself without starting EGC.
-
Depending on your rank, killer adepts are pretty bad.
Evil Incarnate, mostly because of lockers.
Taking One For The Team, if your playstyle doesn't involve throwing yourself at the killer.
Left For Dead, bs before EGC, near impossibe after EGC.
-
There's no reason for sequels in a constantly updated game.
Overwatch doesn't need a sequel either. They could of just added those extra modes to the original. Now they will split the player base and force everyone to OW2, killing the first.
If DBD had a sequel, it would die like all the titles that tried to compete with it. No one wants to start this grind over again and its all the grinding we done so far is what keeps us playing this massive bug of a game.
-
You will just pip back up in rank again. Unless you become a catch and release killer.
-
Yes, but why should you care?
-
You slipped off the hook. I'm just helping you get back on.
-
I'm tired of hearing nerf NOED. Consider it used to be infinite without a way to disable it.
Also your hypothetical sounds too much like a streamers experiment.
-
Maybe a lower level demon.

True and that's why I called this "an addition to killer rulebook", as a tribute to infamous Survivor's Rulebook that killer can't camp, tunnel etc.
You mean The Killer Rulebook, by Survivors. Its a rulebook on how killers must play. Your suggestion would be in a Survivor Rulebook.
-
Yes, you should be penalized for leaving a match.
-
Steam maintenance kicks PC players if in a match. This is viewed as a DC.

tell me how movement speed mods, heal mod, repair mods, vault mods, dodge mods...... is getting outplayed
Modding could also be used for an unfair advantage. More than likely not the mods you see from your favorite streamer. But if you are able to change the character model of survivors or killers to something large and bright, how can that not be viewed as an advantage?
-
Because anti-cheat software doesn't work.
