  • I can't imagine Huntress getting base kit Nerfs.

Usually powers are splitted in 4 different ways.

    • Power Cooldown (Nurse, Doctor, Nightmare, Spirit, Legion, Ghostface, Demogorgon)
    • Power Window duration (Shape, Plague, Oni)
    • Power Reload (Trapper, Huntress, Clown, Deathslinger)
    • Power Tickets (Nurse, Hag, Pig)

Billy doesn't have any of these but I somehow agree that he doesn't need any but at the same time he does, because why should other Killers be restricted but not him?

I read an idea from someone that I actually liked.

    • Billy will always be able to use his Chainsaw, even if overheated but if overheated, it will inflict Deep Wound. It would still allow curves and for good Map traverse while also restricting the Chainsaw's full potential in some way. So with this change it will fall more under Power Cooldown.

Nurse didn't have any of these either but they came up with the worst possible solution.

Huntress has a power reload, that's why I think they won't change her basekit.

Leatherface with his new change will fall under category Power Tickets.

Wraith doesn't have any of these either. I'd probably give him a Power Window duration, so while in cloak he will uncloak automatically at some point and his power will go on Cooldown for a bit. I'd probably give him a long Power window duration and a not extremely long cooldown because he doesn't need extreme changes. He'll fall under category Power Cooldown as well as Power Window Duration.

Pyramid Head has a Cooldown but for some reason he can use his Power anytime he wants. His full power bar takes 20 seconds to reload and he can use it for 5 seconds.

Just make his usable duration 7.5 seconds and his Cooldown 15 seconds but he can only use it if the gauge is full. He'll fall under Category Power Cooldown.

That's it, you restriced every KIller in some way while not restricting them to much, except Nurse because you came up with the worst solution. I have an idea for a Nurse Change but I'll write that down another time.

  • I use,

    • Save the Best for Last
    • Corrupt Intervention
    • BBQ
    • Whispers

I don't really like Infectious on him, he can't really down people to quickly but I might try it and maybe I'll change my mind. But I usually run IF on Killer with one hit dows abilities or Killer who have insane snowball potential like Nurse with a normal Terror Radius.

  • In my opinion, Billy didn't need any Base Kit Nerfs. Some of his new Add-Ons need tweaking as well.

Spirit doesn't need straight up Nerfs either, but some tweaking, so I came with those ideas:

    • Spirit cannot hear grunts of Pain while phasing, but can hear other sounds like breathing, footsteps and grass moving a bit louder than normal.
    • Increased her base phasing duration to 7.5 seconds to compensate since you will have to be more aware and cautious now while phasing.
    • Give her a glowing effect when she starts phasing, but no information to where she is phasing.

This are my ideas and I think it would be nice like that because at the moment you need Iron Will to have some sort of counter to her. This change will make Iron Will kind of base for as long as she is phasing so it won't be mandatory to have this Perk anymore.

Increasing her base phasing duration needs to be there because you need more time to react to other sounds since you won't hear grunts of pain anymore.

And the glowing Effect should work as a feedback to when she is phasing so you can prepare to move somewhere when you see this effect go off.

And if we are at it, I also have ideas for Nurse because there could have been made better work with her.

At the moment, she is the only Killer which really ignores base stats because of her complex power.

Usually, a Killer with a 32 metre TR moves at 4.6 m/s and a Killer with a 24 metre TR moves at 4.4 m/s. She has a 32 metre TR and moves at 3.85 m/s, which compared to other Killers is completely out of the norm, so I came up with those ideas:

    Nurse base stats:

    • Terror Radius: 24 metres
    • Movement Speed: 4.4 m/s

    Changes to Spencer's Last Breath

The Nurse now starts with 15 Charges. Every Charge takes 1 second to reload but will only reload of all Charges are consumed.

Every Blink removes 2.5 Charges. You will be able to double blink 3 times until all your charges are consumed, which will result in a cooldown for 15 seconds. During those 15 seconds you will be a Killer with 110 % movement speed, similar to Spirit while she is waiting for her phase to come back. I tried to make this similar to Spirit.

This change will give you a bit of the feel of old Nurse, since you can double Blink 3 Times without a cooldown after every Blink and after using all Charges, you'll have to chase Survivors normally as a 4.4 m/s Killer for as long as your Power is on cooldown.

I don't have ideas for Add-Ons yet since I came up with this idea recently so I'll work on that as well.

She would be able to have a 16 metre Terror Radius for a dangerous sneak up, but you shouldn't really get Blink grabbed since she makes a loud sound when blinking and if she doesn't reach your gen or position while blinking she also screams which will indicate that she saw you with Nurses Calling or is approaching your position.

I'd probably do a seperate thread for this, but you can add constructive Feedback which will help.

  • I play her when I want to chill out my brain and if I am bored of Survivor.

She requires a bit of skill when learning but she is extremely easy if mastered. She is easily the best Killer, she has the second best ability after Nurse but missing with her gets less punished than Nurse, so she is the best Killer.

Miss a swing with Nurse = Miss Attack Cooldown into fatigue into slower movement speed than a Survivor into a 3 second Blink Cooldownn

Miss a swing with Spirit = Miss Attack Cooldown, then chase Survivor with 110 % movement speed while the Survivor is out of position. Only safe is not being out of position.

She is basically better than Nurse because she requires less skill and gets less punishement for missplays while also being extremely powerful.

  • I'd probably only mute grunts of pain but keep other sounds like grass, breathing, footsteps etc. Since you'd have to be more precise while phasing and pay attention I'd increase the base phase duration to 7 seconds so you'd have more time to determine the direction of footsteps etc. because you lose the easiest tracking ability of Spirit.

Stridor won't delete the only counter since you can't hear grunts of Pain while phasing which makes Iron Will base against Spirit while she is phasing.

Making grunts of Pain is basically a death sentence against Spirit.

Edit: And give her some sort of tell tale when she is phasing but not where.

  • So I'll probably get called "Bug Abuser, get banned!" because I am playing my Main where I have no control over this bug.

  • 115 % or 4.6 m/s while walking regardless of in Stealth Mode or not but when crouching, he drops to 90 % or 3.6 m/s.

His crouch speed can be modified, but 90 % is the base.

  • Soon

  • Trapper: Anything which rhymes with Trapper.

    Wraith: Bing Bong Man

    Hillbilly: Billy

    Nurse: Nurse

    Shape: Mike, Myers, Moonface

    Hag: Haggu

    Doctor: Doctor, Cancer

    Huntress: Huntress, Singer Lady

    Cannibal: Bubba

    Nightmare: Freddy

    Pig: Amanda, Piggy

    Clown: Clown

    Spirit: Outplayer, mInDgAmEr

    Legion: Frank, Susie, Joey, Julie

    Plague: Plag, Vommy Mommy

    Ghostface: Smol Myers, Ghostface

    Demogorgon: Demo

    Oni: Oni, Berserker

    Deathslinger: Dabslinger

    Executioner: Triangle Man

  • They planned on doing a change to Leatherface and while doing that, they were probably thinking: "That's the right time to tweak Billy and his Add-Ons, so we immediately did both Chainsaw Killers."

That's probably why they also did Billy but the Main thing in this Update is Leatherface.

I'll expect Key and Mori changes with the next Chapter because they can't really make a new Killer and a Killer change inside one Chapter. Nurse might get some tweaks in the next Chapter Midchapter.

  • Question. How long do you wait for a match? Because I usually don't get those ranks. I am red rank too and I get matches pretty fast.

Are you waiting like a few minutes? Maybe that's why. But I couldn't explain why you are forced to wait that long if that's the reason.

  • Damn, and I already thought MM was bad but not this bad, Damn. This shouldn't be happening.

Yeah...If we exclude the fact that every good and experienced player disagrees with that(true isn't good at all)

Well it's not like my comment or this whole thread is being sarcastic or anything, let's just assume everybody is being serious then yeah, I wouldn't agree with myself either.

  • Nice. Let me grab that green map offering I always wanted.

  • So you're talking about the reverse Bear Traps.

Well, it's just how the mechanics work. Devs made it where if you run to a gate with an active Trap, it will kill you. Tapping M1 on a hatch is quick, if you made it trigger on the hatch were would be the trigger area?

I am also pretty certain that the Devs made the hatch a counter for this excact situation, otherwise the Survivor would be dead if he had to work around a Timer while another Timer is ticking down.

I've never heard of MMR. Please reply to me what MMR is.

    MMR = MatchMaking Rating

From what I learned, MMR measures your skill level. If you have high MMR, let's say 100 then you will play with and against people around this skill level.

If you are high MMR and lose against high MMR Players, you will lose less MMR (points).

If you are high MMR and lose against low MMR Players, you will lose many MMR points because you shouldn't really lose against low MMR Players.

MMR will work as the new ranking system, so you will play with and against people around your skill level.

  • Ash. Buckle up is garbage just as Flip Flop and Mettle of Men is very situational.

  • Uhm, did you mean MMR? Because Dedicated Servers were added like a 3/4 year ago.

  • She looks like Megan Fox but taller.

  • Trapper: Since he was overperforming back in 2016 we decided to revisit him now and give him a second machete but therefore removed his Traps so he doesn't need to travel around the map to pick them up. Instead he will give one Survivor a machete and play Star Wars with them. If the Trapper wins, he loses a pip and if the Survivor wins, the Trapper's Players game will get uninstalled.

  • @a_good_player said:

Spirit: fine as it is because she has lots of counters

Legion: now the friendzy only allows you to run, not to hit survivors, and the cooldown is increased to 8 seconds

Spirit: Due to research and observationing we recognized that the Spirit has a lot of fair counterplay and we recognized that Survivors love playing against her because she is such a mindgaming Killer so we decided to make her visible during phase walk.

Also, we reduced her movement speed during phasing to 4.6 m/s because this slight basekit change will make her feel far more threatening to play against.

Generally, those no blink spots are referred to as "deadzones." And I think they occur because the game has no idea where to place the Nurse with her blink.

You think dead zones exist in the middle of the cornfield? Because that's where it happened.

  • Well, he is gonna be even more dangerous now.

  • The cooldown is mostly fine, I play her without Add-Ons but you shouldn't really look at the gauge because the sound will tell you when to blink.

But yeah, blinking to the basement while looking up, not being able to hit after a blink, lunge being non existent sometimes. All of these need to go. I also had moments where I charged my blink, looked forward but I still blinked on spot, I didn't go anywhere.

Her bugs are the frustrating part, not her cooldown.

  • Nice. Tier 3 Myers will be dangerous now.

  • After sweeping for 3 charges you have like a 3 - 4 second cooldown where you can't move while walking has no cooldown. I still think that walking is faster.

  • I am also very optimistic about those changes. Bubba will definitely be more fun and I can't wait to try the Add Ons and Lightborn against flashsquads.

  • Carburettor Tuning Guide: Doing a reverse Chainsaw into Quentin hiding in a corner will grant you 500 % more Bloodpoints for the next 69 matches.

  • With Oni I usually run:

    - Monitor and Abuse (getting the 1st hit easier and also increasing my Infectious Fright range)

    - Infectious Fright (For close tracking and snowballing)

    - BBQ and Chili (For far tracking and also BP)

    - Corrupt Intervention (I like the consistent value you get at the start because if you get the snowball going you don't need Pop or Ruin)

I also do not use Pop on most Killer because the time you waste kicking a gen will progress another gen during that time, so I don't even bother.

For Clown I love to pressure people of sh** so I use:

    - Hex: Ruin (no wasting time kicking gens, passive regression will I pressure them off gens)

    - Hex: Haunted Ground (kind of a backup for Ruin. The chance to cleanse Ruin is reduced and it also gives me good snowball if I see many people at one spot.

    - Whispers (To know where people are at the start of the match, unlike Discordance it even works if I can track 1 Survivor at a gen)

    - BBQ (For far tracking and extra BP)

No Add-Ons. In my opinion nobody except Trapper, Wraith and Ghostface needs Add-Ons.

  • Personally I think that Nurse and Spirit aren't the best Chase Enders, because against Nurse you can use LoS and against Spirit you can start moving in different directions when she is phasing at you. I tricked alot of Spirits like that.

There are Killers if played correctly, there is nothing you can do at pallets or loops, which include Doctor, Pyramid Head, Freddy and Clown. Dead Hard might be the only saver there but I don't count Perks, only ingame ressources and mechanics.

  • Saw someone with Add-On ideas and one of them was excactly that.

"The other pink Add-on" not Obsidian Goblet:

    - Hitting a Survivor with Punishment of the Damned will afflict them with Torment..

I'd probably give it a downside, like reduces the reach of PotD by 1.5 metres.

  • Basically a Tier list which mirrors your skill level with each Killer from what I've read and not really using them to their full potential.

But of course, if you played Clown more than Nurse, you'll do better with Clown. His Tier list isn't based on potential strenght in each Killer but rather personal experience and people still sh** on him because some people cannot read.

  • Play with your food and Nemesis is alright since he only loses one stack while he is Tier 3. Personally I would switch Ruin to something else like Corrupt Intervention or Discordance to get an easier stalk of off Survivors while they are either doing something else because of Corrupt Intervention or knowing where they are thanks to Discordance.

Ruin is a Perk where you need to pressure Survivors in order to make it work. Myers in Tier I won't pressure anything because he needs to build up his pressure first.

And yeah, BBQ is a good tracking Perk which is only good because of the double BP. Why not.

My build is Monitor and Abuse to be a bit sneakier in Tier II and get a sneak up on someone where I can pop Tier III immediately for a fast down. Whispers, to get an idea of where Survivors are. It's better than Discordance imo. Discordance activates if 2 or more people are on a gen, Whispers gives me free info even if only one Survivor is on a gen.

Infectious Fright for snowball potential while in Tier III. Combined with Monitor it will give me a 40 metre range of information where people are.

And Surge so it kicks gens for me so I don't have to waste time doing it. I could use Ruin for the Auto Regression but since I don't use Haunted Ground or Retribution on him I'll go for the more consistent version of Auto Regression.

  • Very strong tracking and snowballing Perk.

Use it and nobody will manage to get a flashlight or pallet save unless you are undetectable or they are oblivious.

Combined with BBQ it's a great tracking tool, Infectious shows nearby Survivors and BBQ will show Survivors who are far away.

On Oni, Nurse, Tier III Myers, Billy etc. it's a very good snowball Perk which can give you the match for free sometimes.

  • @Peanits said:

Definitely wouldn't go that far. If you only used it to camp the cage and then tunnel them knowing full well that Borrowed Time or Decisive Strike wouldn't activate, then sure, it's going to be less appealing now (as it should be). Under normal circumstances, however, it still has benefits. Putting them in a cage sends them as far away from you as it can, so if you know all the other survivors are close, you can force them to go across the map to save them. It also allows you to completely avoid flashlight or pallet saves, and saves you the time you would spend picking them up and bringing them to a hook.

Yeah, basically what you said. People immediately abused the mechanic to camp and tunnel the caged Survivor. Even I got face camped by a Pyramid Head who was standing in front of my cage and nobody couldn't do anything against it. I am glad this got fixed.

  • If they tbag me against my Deathslinger I get them like 2 seconds later and nod while I reel them in.

  • If I am hooked and someone gets downed while the other 2 Urbanettes are crouching on the other side of the map I kill myself too. Not doing this sh**

  • It's kinda funny how everyone says that completing the Rift is extremely hard.

I made a month break from dbd during the 3rd Tome and I still managed to get to Tier 70 with 8 days left.

  • Just play Solo Survivor or intentionally play Killer against a 4 man squad in private. That's pretty much an equivalent of a Hardcore Mode.

  • Asked the same question but didn't get an answer

  • Most Killer don't even need Add-Ons. I'd say Trapper and Wraith need some. Mostly Trapper because with 1 Trap base he can't really do much. I played Wraith without them as well and it's acceptable but boring. Ghostface is okay, you have to play super smart though.

Any other Killer doesn't really need them imo.

  • Use this Perk + Noed and you'll have a Trapper following you who moves at 124 %. Definitely not broken.

If it's done right heavy metal sounds can be pretty enjoyable. I mean that's like 85% of Dethklok lol.

Well I don't have that much experience with different music genres but I imagined heavy metal sounds like this. Whatever it's called, it's still ruined and I saw many people saying the same.

  • @coppersly said:

Possibly. Maybe the people responsible for making the music were told to change it by Konami. Or maybe they just didn't like it and gave a different final product.

Yeah but who likes some irritating heavy metal sounds in a soundtrack. They made a great job and Demo, Myers, Oni and Deathslinger and PTB Pyramid Head and then they ruined it with the heavy metal sounds.

  • PTB Pyramid Head. Still frustrated they changed it.

  • @coppersly said:

Maybe it has something to do with the license?

You think the license holder didn't like the PTB version?
