You do realise the Osage are not bound by your laws right?
The point being your talk about mature, when I talk to you about laws being broken. And guess what, pretty much every country in the world has a some restrictions on speech. Do you deny this?
They aren’t the same thing, are they? Are you trying to tell me any form of language of any kind no matter how hostile or offensive is OK?

My question is why are you playing a mature game with swearing in it if you are offended by it? Stop the censorship
There is a difference between swearing, and attacking someone. We can have a discussion and disagree, but cussing people out and calling them all the dirtiest names in the book is a far cry. And that isn’t being mature either.
Let’s try this for example, why don’t you go into a Court and cussed the judge out and see what happens. You don’t think you like the result? Just because you think it’s OK it doesn’t mean other adults do. By the way in some cases it actually is illegal to cuss people out.
Here, since you think you know so much about it here’s some legal education for your benefit.

ok good to know. So, I reported him using the in game reporting system, but should I do anything else?

There are two ways that I think using corrupt intervention is especially good, the first is anyone who needs a little extra time for setting up such as trapper or Demogorgon.
The second is using whispers or other detection perks, Hunt them down while corrupt intervention counts down.

Uh, no, no it isn’t. What the heck makes you think it is?

From today you can't play.
Why can't you manage this game?
Whenever you have problems with servers, if you don't know how to manage the game you change jobs.
You are aware, aren't you, that there isn't a single multiplayer online game EVER that hasn't had problems such as this at one time or another? So where do you get off chastising them for something that has happened literally to everyone?
Seriously, unless any of you can find an online multiplayer game now or previously on the market that never had a problem, and you are chastising Behaviour, you seriously need to back off. You have no idea what you are talking about.
And of course, if you can do better, then please show the developers how to do their job.

No you don't balance around the entire spectrum.
It doesn't matter if people will reach red rank or not, they can if they practice enough that is up to them and not the devs. Look at other games be it tekken, dota,sc whatever it is balanced around the top because noobs and bad players have no clue what their balance ideas would cause at the top like literally breaking the game into a way that is no fun at all.
You know, lots of people play tekken and dota or sc, yet the balance is for the top. Do people stop playin? No. Because the game is balanced and people know that and strife to become better. Improving vs Handholding. Do you feel good if i implement an "iwin"button?
Nobody gets screwed by balance for the top how do you get that absurd idea? The top players are the ones that dedicate the most time into the game and play it the most, have generally speaking just more experience and even there you will see lots of diffrent opinions. But they can usually make the best arguments based on facts as to new players have no idea about what possibilities even do exist.
Really stop grasping for straws, you argumentation is bad to say it politely. Yes it is only natural that the ones at the top are in fewer numbers, balancing after their feedback makes everyone happy.
You propose to balance on feedback by people who do not even know which perks are in the game and how certain mechanics work. What do you achieve with that?
People at the top will become frustrated and leave the game because they feel ignored. Other people will take their place and have the same problems, bad players or noobs introducing gamebreaking stuff that nobody needed in the first place. You balance from feedback via top and nothing else the big games that have playernumbers way beyond dbd show that clearly.
Quit with the histrionics. You want to disagree, fine, but veiled insults gets you nowhere.
Yes, balancing over the entire section is a good idea, because in the end the MINORITY of high rank players aren't the ones who make the company money, except in one instance I'll explain below.
I've been playing at rank 10-12 for some time now, and plague works just fine for me. She works fine at lower ranks as well. You're comments about high tier balance is good for everyone is thus just not true: if a good number of people have success with her, it doesn't matter if a minority don't.
Your elitism is rather insulting. And any business, in the end, has to appeal to the majority to stay in business.
Now, the one exception I referred to earlier is about influencers who are really good at the game. They create videos that talk about how bad something is, and their viewers might well buy into it, thus shifting the view of the majority.
So with that in mind, when I play plague I usually get 3k; if they buffed her I'd start demolishing my opponents.
And she isn't my best. Trapper and spirit are my top two. I'd probably be higher rank if I stuck to those two killers, but I like variety.
Lower ranked people's opinions matter too, and this entire sense of elite entitlement where only high ranked people's opinions matter is just that, elitism.

You don't balance around people that are new to the game or are bad at playing the game. You balance around the top, other players can always improve and they have to.
No, you don't, you balance around the entire spectrum of the game. Because not everyone will ever get to red rank. Some people are great and others are terrible but still want to play.
So if you balance around the top ranks only, you are screwing over those who will never get to those ranks, and thats bad for business. In the end, video games are created by companies that are businesses, and want to make money, and, ergo, want to keep their entire player base, not just their top ranked ones.
So, you balance the game in such a way that you keep everyone as happy as you can; otherwise you risk losing a segment of your player base, and that's just bad for business.
And as a side note, want to guess what segment of the population is red rank? I don't have the numbers, but I'll bed the mid and low ranked players easily outnumber the high ranked ones; after all, its a constant complaint how long the wait times are at red rank. And you want Behaviour to alienated a significant population level? Not a clever way of doing business.
-
If you guys complaining about the plague are all red rank, remember, not everyone IS in red rank and don't play your way.
I play Plague a lot; she isn't my top killer but she is near there. I hover around rank 11; best I've ever got was rank 6, but haven't been able to get there since the emblem rework for killer, best I've gotten now is rank 10.
When I play plague, I almost always run Thanatophobia. When I run into survivors that don't cleanse, I get that 4 man slowdown of the game. And once they are all broken, they are one hit wonders for me. Sure, they can try to avoid me by looping, but survivors aren't all expert at running the killer ragged, some can do it and some can't.
And then some of them WILL cleanse.
So, this whole "plague is bad because no one cleanses" thing isn't always accurate, and if its all about red ranks, well, not everyone PLAYS at red ranks; you have to consider the viability of a killer across the entire spectrum of ranks, not just at the top tier.
And I've NEVER had a game where someone hasn't cleansed. But even then I've not always needed to go for the corrupt plague because just having them broken was good enough in a lot of cases.

yeah, I've had grabs bugged occasionally. Once, it actually trapped me in the grab animation and I had to go through all kinds of contortions to break it. Only happened once, but was kind of funny... and irritating

god I know, right? I used to be nice when some team had a disconnect or something, but after having faced off against so many toxic survivor groups, I have little mercy anymore.
Seriously, I think the best thing they could do is just remove SWF and then balance the game based on solo queue. I think it would make the game much more easily balanced AND cut out some of the more toxic elements of the game.
Plus, voice communications allows SWF to completely neutralize some perks of the killers, which really just isn't fair.
-
Well, after all that, I just won against a 4 man swf. I played a killer I was much more familiar with though, the trapper. Was trying to do daily with leatherface, I know he and billy are supposed to be good but I'm terrible with them. Just played a 4 man SWF that I won, the last disconned, and two others sat there hurling insults at me. Having won, it didnt sting so much, then won a second with trapper just now.
I guess the saltiness when I lose is worse than when I win, because its adding insult to injury, but I think I'll stick with my original plan and just keep chat turned off.

Guys, I apologize for whining. I'm just frustrated. The games I play are usually single player and MMOs, so this kind of behavior is foreign to me... but I understand its more common in pvp oriented games.

So does Prove Thyself give the 10% to other people? When I have others near me my bar goes red but when I'm alone it's normal.Multiple people working on a generator actually gives an efficiency penalty. I think it was supposed to be more pronounced, and maybe it is. Prove thyself helps combat that deficiency, but its not as strong...
Which means individuals will actually be slower by each person than each on an individual generator. Prove Thyself just mitigates that.
At least, thats what I garnered from watching one of the recent dev streams.

So I know this feeling and it hurts, I don't like camping, it makes me feel uncomfortable but I do patrol to see if anyone is nearby. I usually run BBQ or Devour to incentivize me to walk away from the hook and get rewarded, though sometimes the Survivors are like yours and you can't leave quick enough to get out of range.I use those altruistic Survivors against them, if they start swarming the hooks, SLUG them. Don't hook them just SLUG 'em. Punish them for being greedy and stupid, Leatherface is great for this of course because of the snowball potential.
I think you'd get a kick out of Basement builds man I really do. Use Leatherface, Trapper, or Hag and only put people in the Basement. Their Altruism will be their undoing, use Insidious if you're having a really bad day. Start the match by running directly to the Basement and wait there the entire match, usually someone will eventually go down there for that sweet alluring chest and when they do you scream like a madman and swing that saw around and wait for the ensuing swarm of idiots.
So I've heard of basement builds, but I dont know anything about them. What is it, agitation and iron grip to get them down there, and insidious to lure others down there too?

I had a game against a relatively popular streamer in which he died. I was playing Legion as it was about a week or so after their release.I barely spent 10 seconds out of a chase, was constantly hooking people and moved onto new targets one after the other. In the end he died because I hooked him in the basement, and as I stabbed someone I saw killer instincts show someone running down the basement stairs to finished him off.
I went back to watch the vod and he's constantly shittalking how I camped every single hook, tunnelled specifically him, and how I was an absolute garbage player.
I had a good laugh, especially since I still have the vod from my side that shows none of it was true.
Send him the vid with a little note explaining why you are sending it to him.

This just happened a few minues ago. Got beat by a group of survivors, partial SWF. It started when I dropped my first survivor, and immediately there was a flashlight user. I had to get creative to get to the hook without getting blinded, but I did.
She proceeded to click the flashlighjt at me, self heal just out of reach (I had hit her once), would rush away when I moved towards her, and when she did that I suspected they were a full SWF group. Sure enough, another player crept around the edges, and ran off when I hit him. Then another...
Soon enough they were creeping in from all sides. So I face camped. I managed to pull one character off when attempting the save, then immediately dropped that one to the ground, to keep the save. She was moments from death when somehow another pulled her off and my killer hit her instead of pulled her onto my shoulder. not sure why, but it sure frustrated me.
After which I spent the rest of the game chasing them, mostly the flashlight one. And all four escaped.
What happened then? They on chat start laughing at me for face camping. I pointed out that flashlight girl had been there from before I'd even hooked the first one, and never left. The said of course, she was trying to help her team mate, and I was a dumb ass. I pointed out that wasn't I supposed to protect my hook if there is someone literally RIGHT THERE, or was I supposed to just run off with a savior nearly within arms reach and let her save, or chase her when I had seen both other survivors also there.
apparently, I was. And whats' even more funny, they even accused ME of being salty. I pointed out I wasn't the one who'd started complaining, and just defended my position because they had swarmed in for the save rather than work on generators, but apparently, I was somehow playing wrong anyway.
One was a twitch streamer, I almost went to his page to point out the same quandry. I asked how was it fair that they could flashlight me, swarm the hook, etc, but somehow I'm not allowed to defend it. Their response? "I never said it wasn't fair, just laughing at you for face camping."
The twitch streamer then pointed out he had known only one other person there, but whatever. Ugh.

Eventually I'm going to have to replace it. Not looking forward to spending the cash, but I'm gonna have to I guess.
You should consider taking the time to learn how to build it yourself. Save quite a bit of money. Although the upfront cost of a good PC is higher than console you will get a good return on your investment via the money you will save over the course of the PCs life.
Oh I know, I built most of my computers. I bought this one whole because I had some money burning my pocket and I was feeling lazy. As it is, I've been upgrading manually.
Its been awhile since I built a computer, over 7 years, but I can't imagine it's changed so drastically I couldn't figure it out. My concern is that I haven't kept up with hardware and am going to have to go learn the key ingredients in terms of "top of the line." (I don't buy top of the line, I usually aim a couple steps down, because most of my games aren't so demanding they need top of the line, but it's a nice ceiling to work your way down from.)

yeah, he should be banned.l Did you report him?
-
Ridiculous. Skilled survivors can already loop a killer for a very long time. Plus, pallet stuns. With the lunge, I have a chance of getting the survivor as he pallet drops, and I have a chance of getting him before the pallet, or as he is rounding that corner for like the 7th time.
Survivors have plenty to work with. The killer NEEDS the lunge.
-
The problem is a lot of killers camp, and if the survivors rush to rescue him, all they do is feed the killer. The only way to punish campers is to work on generators.
Kindred doesn't even really help, as at level 3 it only reveals for 8 meters. Most killers dont FACE camp, they camp from a distance, to try and lure other people in.
Obviously not all killers do that, but the way to punish camping killers is to gen rush. The way killers stop gen rush is to not camp; but camping becomes a great way to punish survivors who rush to save someone.
It becomes a kind of rock paper scissors game.

I used to hate campers until I played killer and ran into a string of toxic survivors. now I dont blame killers AT ALL for camping and tunneling.

@Bongbingbing said:
As frustrating as it is, Toxic SWF will sometimes make mistakes that you can take advantage of because of their confidence against the killer. There's a few perks that help make it less painful to play like enduring, lightborn and brutal strength but Other than that, SWF as a whole has no real way to counter, if played right Everyone in the group knows where you are, If you've placed any traps, what pallets you've broken, where your totems are once one survivor has seen it and when to hide. And that's part of the problem. Voice chat allows them to bypass some elements of the game, which is why I think SWF should be removed. I know it won't be, but it should be. Then, balancing would also become easier to do as well.
At least they are going to make the killer's loadout invisible until the match is over. That will help some at least.
-

Works every time...or at least most of the time. Does Anyone else have similar spots they use often?Sometimes they do, but its so common for the survivor to drop off the edge that most killers will assume that's what happened. This game I referenced was not really an SWF match. It was just me and one other buddy with two randoms. So there was no "hes camping" communication happening. We all just all let him hang as long as we could, knowing he had a Mori, and quickly learning the killer was camping. its usually not very hard to find out when a killer is camping, yano? Just gen rush the [BAD WORD] out of him, easy counter.I understand that, but, as an example, I was running the Huntress in Coldwind farms a little earlier today. One of my worst match ups, because survivors lose me easily in the damned corn, AND I'm terrible with the hatchet. Been playing her practicing to get her better, but god, that was not the map I wanted to do it on.
I did manage to get a couple hooks, with a LOT of effort, but wasn't able to really nail anyone down. Finally, I got someone in the basement, right as they finished the last generator.
I camped. There was a line of sight along a corn row right to the basement's stairs. I waited a minute, pretty certain they would come try to rescue her. And sure enough, I followed someone in and hooked her too. Then I did it again, and a third came.
That second and third person could have escaped, but they went in for the save and, because I was camping, I got 3k where I would have had 1k.
The Altruism of the survivors sometimes gets them in more trouble. Of course, I only camped when there was only one generator left and it popped... I don't camp on the first hook unless I'm having a bad game and it took me forever to get that, or if I see (or highly suspect) team Altruism is going to rush in to save them. In fact, that's happened so much lately I've started patrolling around the hooked and then heading out to one generator and back, and almost like clockwork as I'm coming back someone gets the save, and sometimes I get the hook back or hook the survivor, other times they escape.
So... well, yeah, camping DOES work sometimes. A lot of survivors don't stick it out to work on generators like they should.
-

One thing to add ignore the gens on the most outer corners of the map, let them have those early since that just funnels them into a more manageable area to control. On large maps this is crucial since it's less to patrol and you can focus on the middle gens that're moe open. But you also want to threaten them on the out ones if you're a high mobility counter just to keep them honest but also give them a good scare and keep them wary.
This works for sure.
Played a Trapper game on Yamaoaka Estate.
I let them have the gens down the bottom near the house i had like 1 hook with 2 gens left which left them with only the ones up the shack end.
I laced the area with traps and refused to chase into the area with the gens completed, slowly but surely they all got trapped and hooked, was a long game but satisfying.
yeah,, generally if it looks like they are trying to lure me away from an area, I'll turn around and head back.
